I have made. Another comic. I took a very, very long time, as usual lmao. I originally got inspired to make this after watching through Arcane cuz. Nicely done media makes me want to make things and all that. And, at that time, I'd sent Narinder out on a mission trip in my new save and he came home full of existential dread (I have terrible luck with Narinder on missions therefore so does QPR AU Lambert I guess lol), and it had occurred to me that that would make an interesting premise for a comic maybe?? Turns out it did.

I think I'm happy with this?? The perfectionist in me is not, and to be honest I think I could've drawn a lot of things better and also I think this would read better if it felt a little slower... but also it's 13 pages long so I can't fault myself all that much. I do wish I had spent more time on some of these interactions, particularly between Lambert and the Goat and also between Narinder and his siblings, I have a lot of thoughts about the Bishops post their joining the cult but I haven't had a ton of time to really like... flesh out those ideas as much as I would like to. Maybe someday?? Idk.

Semi-related, while this comic gave me a lot of thoughts about the Bishops it also gave me a lot of thoughts about like, the exact like, I guess boundaries and terms of Narinder and Lambert's QPR, and also about what exactly happened to Narinder while he was out, and he's not lying a lot did happen but that's a little too long to just throw in the description here so maybe future me will describe it somewhere or something. This comic also got me thinking about Webber a fair bit, and once day I will expand upon those thoughts but not today, I have outside activities today lol

Anyways. This comic, like all my art, is not perfect, but it was fun to make and I spent too long on it for nobody to see it, so... enjoy!!

I don't got Too much to offer at the moment ,BUT !!!!! DHWJDHSFNW I wanted to elaborate further on my infodumping regarding Shamura's old town as a child as well as what their life was like before the crown of war and wisdom

In Short,,, shamura went from being a simple child attending church every week -> a new priest that helped volunteer with the church -> becoming a cardinal at the clergy ,,, Piling that all with other after school activites (regarding sports & gifted) they were frequently VERY stressed out as a child,,, it lead to them burning down the whole clergy and "crying for absolution",,, No one knew the cardinal burnt down the clergy so the town had been very paranoid,, and it was all this almost 17 yr old's fault with not knowing how to cope with it :'-]c

They were the smartest & most "prodigal" child of silk cradle at the time,,, often having people both older and younger look up to them for how they were the best example of a church kid should quote on quote Behave

With all the heavy set expectations they had really bad coping mechanisms such as not only being a perfectionist immediately at 11 years old ,but Also being too obsessed with the idea of fire and eventually it dwelling into pyromania (which mental illness that long ago was deemed as psychotic so they were very undertreated) ,,

first up is kallamar, with the firefly squid!

unfortunately, there arent really any naturally occurring blue squids. the best youll get are those that are clear, and just reflecting the water around them. my next best bet was the firefly squid! they can be found on the shores of japan, and their glow in the shallow water during spring is considered a tourist attraction. its hypothesized they use this glow not only for courting purposes, but also to blend in with the night sky from below!

then we have shamura, with the purple pinktoe tarantula!

these spiders apparently have a very mild temperment but are fast and quick to retreat when threatened! they nest high up in the trees of the amazon region of ecuador, but are also frequently found in cow fields and holes in walls. the venom - like their temperment - is more mild, as well as non fatal to humans!

next is heket (my personal favorite), the tomato frog!

these weird little guys are particularly fascinating! they can only be found in madagascar, and like a lot of frogs will puff up their body as a form of aggression to others. but the amazing part happens if anything tries to eat them! they secrete a glue-like toxin, that causes numbing in the mouth and eyes, and sometimes even triggers allergic reactions in humans!

after that we have leshy, the evergreen bagworm!

this was one i actually knew quite a bit about (it comes in handy already having a bagworm oc!) so i was particularly excited to draw him! bagworms are a species of moth with some very interesting sexual dymorphism: the female of the species dont pupate like the males do! they create a bag which they live inside, and dont even leave it to mate, spending their life as a worm. the males of the species pupate into full moths with wings! they can also be found in several continents around the world

then finally we have narinder, the egyptian mau!

theyre one of the few naturally spotted domestic cats, and are only on the tips of their fur! the tabby mark on their forehead is often compared to a scarab beetle, and the paler patches on their chest and arms almost look skeletal on the darker coats! they are the fastest domestic cat, able to run more than 30mph. theyre also a very rare breed, and known for being very active, sensitive, and loyal!

Anyway what a sheltered world where some person starts following you around town so you just lead them home and invite them to dinner (and make them carry the heavy item your sister added to the list when your back was turned) I'm sure this kindness and trust Narinder has in the world around him won't come back to bite his entire family in the ass

The softer kit is holding your hand and walking along side you. He is scared, but doing an impressive job at maintaining calm for a five year old boy. You think of Narinder when he was young, before age and greed stole his softness away.

You arrive, now: You are at the place of the sacrifice. The kit in your arm is crying. The one clutching your hand has gone pale.

Meet the Baabaa kids - Belomor

Belomor (short - Morya) - the eldest kid and the only son of Narilamb in my AU, he’s 7 years old. His name resembles an old slavic name and consists of two parts, “bel” - white, and “mor” - sea or plague.

I don’t know what went wrong with this one, but with Narinder being black and Lamb being black-faced he somehow turned out grey-faced. He is a weird mix of his parents, looking like a lamb with some cat fearutes. He has wide ears - think something like the cat follower earshape - placed on the top of his head, and only the top pair of fangs. He has white wool on his head (it’s shorter than Lamb’s though) and on the tip of the tail.

He is a calm smart kid that loves reading and looks up to Narinder the most. When he isn’t reading he loves to play with Vlastivlava, usually just to show her how he is better than her. He is very sweet and empathetic, and is friends with all the followers, but doesn’t really bug them unless they want to chat or ask for his help.
