hey so!!! I DID in fact find some time to write!! yay!!! it feels so good to be back to enjoying things 🫶😭 have a... saturday snippet...? of one of those originally-meant-to-be-kinktober fics that I still have lying around. Under the cut for being slightly nsfw

Wille thinks he can hear Simon smile, that typical brief exhale through his nose, a distant, quiet hum. The thought of Simon having to pause, to lean back, to take it all in, sends a shiver up Wille's spine. There’s a dangerous thrill in not knowing, not being able to see. In having to wait for verbal confirmation that he’s doing it right. He hopes he’s being good for Simon, hopes he is looking pretty with the black silk tied around his head.

There’s the shifting of fabric, the mattress dipping next to Wille’s chest, Simon’s hand gone from his aching cock. Goosebumps rise on his neck when hot breath fans over it. He holds his own breath, doesn’t want to miss a single thing. Wille digs his fingers into the sheet beneath him, afraid he might reach out if he doesn’t keep his hands busy. But Simon said ‘hands to yourself’ in his softest voice when he put the blindfold on Wille earlier, and Wille is determined to do as he’s told. Even if the heat he feels radiating off Simon’s body, so close and yet too far, is making it hard not to reach out and run his hands all over him. Wille can’t help but gasp when he feels Simon’s warm breath on his ear. There's a gentle tug on the blindfold, fingers sliding underneath the fabric and into Wille's hair. Immediately, he leans into the touch and sighs. “Still feeling okay?” Simon asks, and Wille nods eagerly, feeling the fabric shift with Simon's fingers still trapped underneath.

I feel the need to periodically remind people that Idiocracy is a eugenics movie.

One of the things that eugenicists believe is that it is bad for society when the “wrong people” breed.

The entire premise of the movie is that “stupid people” kept having kids while “smart people” didn’t have kids, and it ruined society because stupid genes propagated while smart genes died out. This is eugenics propaganda.

I know people will read this and their response will be “actually it’s satire” but the movie isn’t satirizing eugenics. It’s satirizing anti-intellectualism, and consumerism, and it proposes eugenics as a solution.

When eugenics was first conceived, it was used as a way to justify inequality. The idea was that people who held privilege were able to do so because they were smarter and genetically superior to lazy and stupid people who don’t have privilege. Obviously this is bad and wrong, but it is also the core lesson of Idiocracy.

The movie literally ends with the main character becoming president and having “the smartest children in the world.” Because he and his wife have smarter genes than everyone else. The proposed solution for the things that Idiocracy is satirizing is for the smart people to have children that can be in charge of the world.

I know it’s fun to use this movie to dunk on anti-intellectualism and the MAGA movement, but we need to stop. When you quote and reference this movie you are spreading eugenics propaganda.

City of Tears. But Mini.

I wanted to make an atmospheric art piece with Dewi. And the City of Tears is one of the most sorrowing, beautiful, and grand places to do that. This is a lot of firsts for me regarding the architecture and lighting. The shadows cover a lot, and it may have been too much. I'm happy with how it turned out tho.

No idea how Dewi found his way into the City. Probably magic. Probably plot too :) But oh boy, he is experiencing childlike wonder in his raincoat!

Everyone talks about how silly Ace Attorney is but only ever mentions the parrot and the Almost Christmas thing, so here’s a few highlights of insane shit that happens in Ace Attorney that I personally adore:

The famous orca defendant from Phoenix’s first case after disbarment turns out to be the secret sibling of another orca… who was also falsely accused of murder

The final case of what is widely considered one of the best games in the series involves a clown crushing the president of fantasy Hong Kong to death with a hot air balloon. The president turns out to be a body double who replaced the original president 15 years prior. This is all taken completely seriously

The inciting incident of effectively the entire series was an episode of cupcake wars that went really, REALLY poorly

The plot of the most recent mainline game is “what if defense attorneys were systematically oppressed by the government”

The main character gets hit by a car in one of the cases and walks it off. He does sprain his ankle though

Two separate characters can summon butterflies in court and make their scarves levitate. They have literally no relation to each other and this inexplicable telekinesis is never mentioned by the cast even once

A major plot point in one of the cases is someone tying a corpse to the end of a rope and then pendulum swinging them across a bridge so aggressively they get launched 30 feet into the air on the other side. This is fully animated and you get to watch it happen no less than 4 times
