I suddenly got really invested in this AU.

Bill tricking Steve, the very last Euclidean, into a deal because he just can't cope with everything else from his home being gone and it being his fault. Keeping him alive for as long as he lives, to somehow compensate for killing everyone else.

And the guy not even suspecting what he got into and that maybe he should be afraid of Bill, but what else is there? Everything is burning anyway, let's befriend the torch.

I might be alone in thinking this, but a part feels like the marriage of Preston and Priscilla Northwest doesn't contain love.

I don't mean that they hate each other. It's more like...transactional. Political. All that shebang. I can see Preston and Priscilla being part of a group of friends. Fellow socialites, obvy. And they have that yacht competition with Priscilla (who could be THAT girl) being the prize.

Preston wins and the two do go through with the marriage because their families and influence can benefit each other. They do care about each other. They just probably care about reputation more, which includes each other's reputations.

This sounds soooooo complicated. lol
