Day Two of @celerymoondesigns' #12DaysofCosmas is "Flowers.” @syracusecomiccon 2018 was at @destinyusa, so I had to take advantage of this & ride the carousel in my #ArtNouveauFluttershy #cosplay! (I wish I would have known about the whole “taking pictures in front of flower walls” thing because there was a Michaels!) 💖🦋🐰🌸🌿 (Picture taken by my mum whilst the carousel was in motion—this was one of the few that wasn’t blurry, but I still had to brighten the photo & edit the colours a bit. They aren’t quite right, but it’s much better than before!) I tend to have low self-confidence (along with the terrible pairing of procrastination & perfectionism), but I'm rather proud of this cosplay—it’s one of my favourites that I’ve done. (Also, I feel rather pretty & fairytale-like when I'm wearing Fluttershy. I ought to wear this to more conventions. Day Four of @celerymoondesigns' #12DaysofCosmas is "Modern/AU." Not *technically* an AU, but here's my #ArtNouveauFluttershy! 💖🦋🐰🌸🌿 * * Picture taken on our hotel balcony at @scifivalleycon 2019. Yes, I've posted this one before, but it's one of my favourite pictures of my cosplays. I still can't believe we caught the light at the perfect time for such an aesthetic picture!) Finished my #flowercrown for #ArtNouveauFluttershy an hour ago & have been attempting makeup tests! (I am a failboat #makeupnoob & can't quite get the "make your eyebrows disappear & then paint them on again" technique because I have dark, thick brows that I don't normally style, but at least I got them somewhat pink?) * * Flower crown base is a flower garland from @joann_stores that was beautiful from the store (I especially love the pink roses!). I LOVE YOU @ardawigs!! (& you have the fastest owls!) I ordered my wig for #ArtNouveauFluttershy later than I ought to have done (especially since I ordered colour swatches back in the spring) so of course my wig was one of the styles in the Late May/Early June restock that just came in last week. I'd been checking my USPS tracking number near-constantly (when I wasn't at work) since Monday when I got the shipping confirmation & my wig arrived yesterday! * * I feared it wouldn't arrive until today (the original arrival date on the email), what with the holiday (so it would have arrived after I already left for @syracusecomiccon), but it was waiting for me when I came home from work yesterday. Thank you so much, it's perfect!! Circle skirt for #ArtNouveauFluttershy! (Yes, this begins a bit of a photospam of WIP snaps I've not posted yet.) I used @mccallpatterncompany M5681 (poodle skirt pattern) & a lining fabric from @joann_stores (polyester, but it has lovely drake) & then added about 6" to the length. It's so very twirly! I'm definitely going to have to use circle skirts more often!
