Name: Patch Knight (Or "Patchy")

Reference Images: Heres an Older ref from last year (which is still very accurate), but also see above. I forgot her shield in every drawing though rip.

Notes on Personality: Patch Knight has faced every problem she cannot beat through sheer strength (which just so happens to be most of them) with her willpower and southern charm. In life and death she flirts with death, fearless facing impossible odds for the sake of others, but she carries no chip on her shoulder for her good actions. They keep their cards close to their chest, hiding their heart behind a shield so others can lean on them for strength.

The very much summarized and simplified Patch Knight Lore: Long before Kirby landed on Planet Popstar, King Dedede first staked his claim over Dreamland. He stole food from the simple people of the land. Patch- a local folk-hero- was overcome with rage. So she set out to take down Dedede. She is, however, just a normal Waddle Doo, and she failed miserably in her attempts to face the King one on one. So instead she stole an artifact sealed in a chest from the abandoned castle he had claimed.

Unbeknownst to her, what she'd stolen was one of the portals to Patch Land. From there they traveled through the portal, meeting the young, orphaned Prince Fluff. Originally they planned on returning home, but after being unable to locate Fluff's guardians, they took the task upon themself. Shortly after the sorcerers Yin and Yarn appeared. The two brothers and Patch Knight became friends, and for a few years Patch was content with the new life they'd begun building. That was, until, the two sorcerers cut it short. They killed Patch Knight, and used them as a puppet they ingeniously named Yin-Yarn.

Once Yin-Yarn was defeated, that should have been the end for Patch Knight, and in a way it was. However Patch wasn't satisfied with the idea of dying and moving onto the great beyond. After a duel with death (which she lost terribly!) the only thing keeping her between life and death is her own willpower, and a desire to see that her loved ones will be alright once she cannot watch over them.

Why is she in a tournament now? For fun, of course! What's the point in cheating death if you're not gonna have some fun with it.

Luis knew that what he was about to say would be the most scandalous thing to ever leave his lips. He understood that she'd take offense to it given what he had done to her. He toyed around with her heart without a care. He hadn't thought about how the damage would leave them both. It was seeing her move on with another man that spurred him. Luis had never grew past his same toxic traits; always wanting what he didn't have. Amelia isn't even shocked one bit at the fact that people would warn her husband about her usual behaviour before they had met. ❝ I will admit that I did have my moments that I wasn't the greatest person. The difference between that version of myself compared to now is the fact that I've made the choice to become a mature person that doesn't allow people's words and actions affect me the way that I allowed it to before. Unless that side needs to come out I plan to keep it on the shelf. This may sound dumb , but before we were married I was worried that I would be a terrible wife. ❞ Amelia isn't going to allow herself to think the thoughts that she still has time to fuck up. Femme knew that Luis didn't deserve the Amelia that so many other people had known her to be in the past. Wanting to be a better version of not only for him but for her own sake. The Best Worst Monarch

So recently I’ve become REALLY into this party game called King of the Castle, where the host plays as a monarch and their guests try to overthrow their reign with schemes. I want to post all my custom characters and talk a little about my love for the game.

To start with, my monarch:

A good bean who just tries to give the kingdom what it needs without letting power fall into the wrong hands--but that’s easier said than done, and I’ve actually *coughcough* never won the game as the monarch. The new patch is supposed to make it not so hard for the monarch to win, so hopefully I’ll get the W soon.

Next is my character for the Barons of the March

Barone Starchbean is a proud hunter and soldier who has a bone to pick with Ashmede (neighboring nation)

My character from the North:

Chief Starchbean is a party animal who is not fond of the toil of war and prefers spending time in a warm hall with a full belly.

My character from the East:

Conte Starchbean is definitely not a vampire, why would you say such hurtful things? >u> They enjoy researching both the esoteric and the mundane, and have little time for bothersome moralizing.

From the South:

Ahhhh yes, Grandee Starchbean, my Fabulous Colonel Sanders!

Grandee Starchbean is a zealous follower of the Ninth God, abhorring the unnatural abominations created by the Seventh. They have a kind heart, but their kindness is twisted by a very black and white view of the world. Their fried chicken Starchbean is to die for.

From the Coast:

Noble Patrician Starchbean is cowardly and detached from the ways of the commoners, taking luxury for granted and spending most of their time in wineries and at the theater while their assets accrue wealth. Patrician Starchbean has taken a recent interest in the jeweled crab craze sweeping the land.

Fantasy Guide to Dukes and Duchesses

This new series will offer an indepth view of each noble title in the standard European hierarchy of noble titles. Here we will discuss what they are, their lands, their jobs and everything you need to know when writing them.

What is a Duke exactly?

A Dukedom is the highest rank in most noble hierarchies. The Duke rules a section of land within the Kingdom known as a Duchy, for example the Duke of Lancaster or can be a standalone title, Duke of Rothesay. A Dukedom is inherited through the family line, from father to so but the title is bestowed on the by the monarch. Monarchs can also give their children Dukedoms, and often do. For example the second son of the King of France would be the Duc d'Orleans.

Titles, Titles

The Duke is the highest ranking in the land. They are the first among the nobility, among the wealthiest, with the most prestige. A Duke is referred to as 'Your Grace'. If one is meeting a Duke in a social setting, nobles would call them Duke whilst underlyings would call them "Your Grace". A Duke would also hold subsidiary such as an Earldom or two, a Barony or three. But would go by Duke as it is the highest title. Fun fact, Carlos Fitz-James Stuart (pic above) has the most titles:

The Family of the Duke

The wife of a Duke is a Duchess. If a Duke is married to a man, while there is no real world examples, I would personally say they would take one of those other subsidiary titles I mentioned above. Same thing with a ruling Duchess and her wife. However, a ruling Duchess's husband usually sticks with whatever title he came with. The heir of the Duke usually inherits their parent's next highest title, usually an Earldom. The other children are styled as Lord/Lady Firstname.

The Role of the Duke

As the Duke is leader of the Duchy, which is a large section of the kingdom. They are in control of this section, the highest power in law and order, politics and all things in that section with only the monarch above. They handle administration at the highest level, raising troops from their duchy for the crown in times of war, see the collection of taxes and sometimes they might even advise the monarch if they are offered a place of the monarch's council. They would also attend the monarch at their coronation.

Cribs

Dukes like a lot of nobility would have multiple houses, manors, estates etc. Their homes would be the grandest in the land and the social hubs for the Duchy and even the country. A Duke would sometimes live at court when invited but would also have the homes in the capital. This vast portfolio can become a source of income as the Duke can rent them out or a handy way to shelf relatives who depended on them.

Do you have a terrible character? ❞ She will admit to having a big heart and giving people second chances when they didn't deserve it, however, she has grown a lot. People mistreating her forced her to put up her defenses. Violet didn't just let anyone in anymore, and he should know that. How is it fair that he can date around and she can't? She decided that she'll make him eat his word by stealing his date instead. Florence pulling her away from Luis made her smirk. This would be a lot easier than she thought. ❝ You two have fun. I know I will, ❞ her words were more of a jab at Rex. Lacing her hands with the femme's as they walked away to the bar.

Luis huffed in annoyance. ❝ You're always in everyone's shit, Flo, I swear. ❞ The little minx loved to get into all the drama between the group. Somehow, being into women, she thought she could get away with messing around with them but he wasn't going to let it slide. ❝ You have no idea what I've tried to do to get her back. So please, if you're not going to help me, just stay out of it. ❞ He'd find some other way to get Edwina's attention. Much to his surprise, Violet legitimately left with Florence. As mad as he was at Rex for ruining his business, he felt worse for him. Getting cockblocked in public in front of a bunch of people is not something his ego would be able to get over. Luis would never recover from that, and he fumbled with a damn princess. ❝ Did Violet just... steal your date and cockblock you? ❞ He'd definitely give her a discount for this kind of entertainment.

"I'M JUST SAYING YOU ARE terrible judge of character," Rex riposted. "You tend to give people a chance even though they don't deserve it." Violet always had a good head on her shoulders. She had seen the things others couldn't see before the fall down of the manor. Her perceptiveness had turned her into a social pariah. However, it had been a different matter when it came to dealing with people. It shouldn't be his concern but he cared a lot about her. More than he let on. He tried to wrap his mind around it being possibly jealousy. Why would he? He had always been aware of the blind dates she had. He had done the same thing. This time shouldn't be any different. Except for the fact that he had seen her in action. It invoked something in him. He couldn't pinpoint what it was though. His contemplation over this situation was disrupted as he noticed a shift. Florence and Violet seemed interest in each other. What the hell? "No offense but he looks suspicious as fuck," he commented, eyeing Luis.

Florence listened to their exchange in amusement. It didn't take rocket science to figure out that the two had something unresolved. There was a vibe here. "Oh, no worries. This bloke is very harmless. He can't harm a fly," she said glibly, an underlying sarcasm in her voice. Anyone who really knew would know that Luis was far from harmless. It was the little effort she put to prevent this fight and end the argument. Rex had an incredulous look on his face but she waved him off. Turning to Luis, she arched her brow at him. "You'll be fine. It's not your first rodeo." She caught onto what he was suggesting, but she knew better than to let anyone touch her phone. "Oh, that's going to be your cross to bear. I'm not going to interfere with your issues. You're going to have to find ways yourself. If she has you blocked, then find a way. Send a telegram or pigeon mail if you have to. I could have done better groveling if I were her boyfriend, but that'd be a hard pill for you to swallow." Redirecting her attention to Violet, she held her arm to pull her away from Luis. "A bar? That's a great idea," she enthused. "As for you two. . ." She pointed at the two boys. "Get over yourself."
