Luis knew that what he was about to say would be the most scandalous thing to ever leave his lips. He understood that she'd take offense to it given what he had done to her. He toyed around with her heart without a care. He hadn't thought about how the damage would leave them both. It was seeing her move on with another man that spurred him. Luis had never grew past his same toxic traits; always wanting what he didn't have. Yet, he didn't see himself having growth in personality even though others have suggested so. It is a strange dilemma. He just knew that he couldn't be the crazy one in the beginning of the marriage. Amelia had come off from a lot, everyone knew how their reputation took a nosedive, and it was his job to try to remedy that the best that he could. ❝ What made you think you would be a terrible wife? Luis wouldn't say he is the most festive man, but it was nice seeing everyone in good spirits. The pair were at one of Amelia friend's gatherings. Since everyone would be off to visit their families to celebrate Christmas and New Years, it seemed like a good idea to have a mini-celebration for them. He used it as an opportunity to get to know Amelia's friends better. He didn't get much of a chance during their wedding, and he is a bit shocked they seemed to welcome him with open arms. The pair were underneath a doorway talking when someone pointed out the mistletoe above them. Luis chuckled, if people wanted to see them together, so be is. Luis had never been personally tasked with tracking someone down, but he didn't find it to be a job too daunting for him to handle. Copeland Quinn. The name of the woman he had been searching for. Do you have a terrible character? ❞ She will admit to having a big heart and giving people second chances when they didn't deserve it, however, she has grown a lot. People mistreating her forced her to put up her defenses. Violet didn't just let anyone in anymore, and he should know that. How is it fair that he can date around and she can't? She decided that she'll make him eat his word by stealing his date instead. Florence pulling her away from Luis made her smirk. This would be a lot easier than she thought. ❝ You two have fun. I know I will, ❞ her words were more of a jab at Rex. Lacing her hands with the femme's as they walked away to the bar.

Luis huffed in annoyance. ❝ You're always in everyone's shit, Flo, I swear. ❞ The little minx loved to get into all the drama between the group. Somehow, being into women, she thought she could get away with messing around with them but he wasn't going to let it slide. ❝ You have no idea what I've tried to do to get her back. So please, if you're not going to help me, just stay out of it. ❞ He'd find some other way to get Edwina's attention. Much to his surprise, Violet legitimately left with Florence. As mad as he was at Rex for ruining his business, he felt worse for him. Getting cockblocked in public in front of a bunch of people is not something his ego would be able to get over. "I'M JUST SAYING YOU ARE terrible judge of character," Rex riposted. "You tend to give people a chance even though they don't deserve it." Violet always had a good head on her shoulders. She had seen the things others couldn't see before the fall down of the manor. Her perceptiveness had turned her into a social pariah. However, it had been a different matter when it came to dealing with people. It shouldn't be his concern but he cared a lot about her. More than he let on. He tried to wrap his mind around it being possibly jealousy. Why would he? He had always been aware of the blind dates she had. He had done the same thing. This time shouldn't be any different. Florence listened to their exchange in amusement. It didn't take rocket science to figure out that the two had something unresolved. There was a vibe here. "Oh, no worries. This bloke is very harmless. He can't harm a fly," she said glibly, an underlying sarcasm in her voice. Anyone who really knew would know that Luis was far from harmless. It was the little effort she put to prevent this fight and end the argument. Rex had an incredulous look on his face but she waved him off. Turning to Luis, she arched her brow at him. "You'll be fine. It's not your first rodeo." She caught onto what he was suggesting, but she knew better than to let anyone touch her phone. "Oh, that's going to be your cross to bear. I'm not going to interfere with your issues. You're going to have to find ways yourself. If she has you blocked, then find a way. Send a telegram or pigeon mail if you have to. I could have done better groveling if I were her boyfriend, but that'd be a hard pill for you to swallow." Redirecting her attention to Violet, she held her arm to pull her away from Luis. "A bar? That's a great idea," she enthused. "As for you two. . ." She pointed at the two boys. "Get over yourself."

Copeland thought she was doing something good for their relationship, to protect him but she should have known better with Luis. That he would find her not just for the sake of it, for the spite of it all. To prove that he could outsmart anyone and he did, she just hoped he wouldn't for his own sake. Sighing, "I had to, you know yourself, you wouldn't let it go," a small smirk came to her face. It didn't matter if she was happy to see him, they didn't need to be together, "I wish it was, but you know why it can't be, Luis," it took her a long time to disappear and now it would be hard to do the same thing again.

The longer that Mason had put energy into the Grey family, the more her legitimately thought he could run the business. He studied it inside an out. Even though he spent a lot of time with Amelia, he spent a considerable chunk doing favors for his father. The dirty work that pretty boy never dirtied his hands with. ❝ You couldn't run this shit on your best day. You know who was the one doing the dirty work for you father— Me! Luis immediately slamed the male down in a lock. He has been itching to get in a fight for a while so the blonde just gave the male a perfect excuse. The frenchman isn't entirely sure if his family had explained to Declan exactly why he had been married off in the first place. His trig.ger friendly, fiery nature needed to be quelled after an event that almost caused some serious damn, not only to his family name but to everyday people in the world. ❝ Do you think my wife would be okay if I taught him a lesson for headbutting me? The only guarantee is putting him in a damn hospital.❞

Declan is no fool of course he knew that his remark about Mason being an orphan would get under his skin which is exactly what the male had wanted to do. When Mason made his true reasoning to be there didn't surprise Declan , because he knew that Amelia had yet to do anything wrong him. Unless you're counting the way she had handled the break up. Even if that was all on the hands of Declan when he made the choice to arrange his sister's marriage to Luis. Mason's words didn't bother the male because he is so use to hearing such words being said about him the moment that word had got out that Declan would be the Grey that would take over his family's business. ❝ Of course you're not here for Amelia. All she ever was to you was a game to get what you wanted and that being destroying my family and our business.. He' never gotten a warning with any girl he's messed around with before, so he found it funny how every man has tried to prep him for interacting with her. It's not like they're the one marrying her. ❝ I actually told Declan he can step down from his post... If anyone should be in charge of the messes, it should be me given she'll be taking on my family name. The only thing I can hope is that this doesn't become my new part-time job. ❞ Lincoln knew the femme longer than he had. His fiance seemed to go back further than the both of them combined. Luis knew what it was like to have a life-long friend; his was Noah. They had gone through school and life together. He's the only person who knew the details of his life. He knows he can't speak upon it but something tells him that the two best friends will be exactly that after their conversation. ❝ I can honestly tell you that I am not sure how Amelia would be today if it wasn't for Gwen. Gwen has been the one person that Amelia has been through everything with. This separation has been just as difficult on Gwen than it has been for Amelia. He is just trying to find that sweet spot for when it's appropriate to have that sort of conversation. ❝ Now it's time that I marry you off. Noah knows that his friend's relationship with his family isn't close so he felt it was best to not give a speech that may come off as him defending Luis's parents. ❝ I know that it isn't going to be complete freedom , but look at it this way at least you're going to have someone by your side that will always be in your corner even if she may not agree. I do hope that you don't end up in a lonely marriage , but something tells me you won't. ❞ Sure he doesn't know the woman personally that his best friend is marrying but that doesn't mean that he doesn't not want happiness for him. ❝ Wouldn't you much rather have an exciting woman than one that is going to just do everything she is told? You're definitely getting a feisty one , but at least you don't need to worry about her not being able to handle herself if she needs to. ❞ Sure Noah knew that difficult women aren't the typical type of women that men wanted in their world. From the way that she grilled him during their meeting, he knew she meant business. She put a lot of effort into finding out what his values/morals are which was refreshing to see. That conversation along with Declan's line of questioning is why he felt comfortable with this marriage in the first place. He took mental note of what he said. He wanted to be prepared for anything Amelia might try to throw at him. ❝ Alright... I've been pretty clear about communication, and I'll get that point across to her. ❞

Luis knew that this would be a big responsibility for him to take. Still, he wanted to make sure that he brought some value to this family outside of monetary/political reasons. They seemed like good people. He loved how much her family seemed to care about her. In a way, it made him jealous. He knew their parents didn't make it easy, but they all obviously cared about each other. He wanted a piece of that for himself. He'd even take a sliver. ❝ I know... Thank you. I know it's not an easy thing but it will be easier knowing that I have you for help. ❞ Giving the older male a small smile. There is no denying at how impressed Declan is with the way that Luis presents himself but how well spoken he is. It leaves the male with great confidence that Luis was the right choice for his sister. He is the opposite of any males that Amelia had dated in the past even though technically the two were skipping that phase of a relationship and just jumping into marriage. ❝ I appreciate the understanding. My family name was actually well respected at one point in time and sadly my father started the ball of destroying it before other members of the family continued to destroy it even more. I plan on restoring our reputation no matter how long or hard I have to do it. I do wish I would have seen through that with him sooner before I basically pushed them back together. If it hadn't been for my wife I am sure that he would have fooled me too. ❞ Declan always makes sure to make it known that Violet had just as much of her hand in helping him put an end to whatever plan his sister and Mason had to destroy his family. ❝ At least she was being honest with you instead of making you learn the hard way. Which she has done in the past to men. Probably a wise idea , but don't let her think she has you wrapped around her finger either. She will play off of that if she feels like she can get whatever she wants. She has done it for years with our father until he basically disowned her for the actions at the wedding. ❞ It is the first time Declan has really spoken about the day/evening that made his family the talk of the town. Declan hadn't been expecting to hear such a statement from his future brother in law. He knows that Luis makes more than enough sense about him having to let go of the responsibility of taking care of Amelia and her messes that she seems to make a lot. Declan knows that it also won't be an easy task as he has spent most of his twenties taking care of Amelia and making sure that she stayed out of trouble. Even now in his thirties he is still doing it. ❝ You haven't given me a reason not to trust your word. I can't say that it isn't going to be an easy task for me to just not be the person that is protecting her. It's basically all I've done for her since our father banished our mother. I'll make sure of it at the very least. ❞ A smuch as Luis liked to work, he revelled in having his own time to enjoy. Life is too short to be focused on things like money. Yes, he knew he was privileged to say that and he isn't above using his money to buy time either. Amelia's words almost made him scoff, ❝ This is just bare minimum shit. It's unfortunate how American boys don't seem to know how to plan something proper or put any effort into making sure you have a good night... I'll plan something better for tomorrow then. Or maybe I can whip something up tonight. ❞ Luis hadn't had a reason to be romantic in a while, but now that he was married, he had the ability to do whatever he wwanted. It might be hard since they hadn't built that connection yet. But he figured it might be the thing to help make that spark between them. ❝ I might have bit my tongue for the whole wedding process, but that was to get it over with... And I don't mind hearing it all, as long as I'm not busy, it's good to vent every once and a while. ❞

So yes if you were to ask anyone of my friends something like this would be categorized as being a romantic day. Well if you don't consider this as being romantic than I'd love to see what you consider to be. ❞ Amelia can't help but now be curious to what exactly could be in his mind as something he'd be able to show her as being seen as romantic. Why did something inside of her tell her that Luis would make any male that had the chance to be romantic look terrible? ❝ I didn't mean for it to make it come across like I'd believe that you'd do something like that. I just want to make sure that holding back your thoughts should be something you have to do. I feel like you may regret that because there can be times in which I have so much going on that I could complain for hours. ❞ Amelia finds herself laughing but at the same is being serious.

He didn't see where they got him from. Luis knew that this was still the trial run phase given they were on their honeymoon. Still, he expected Amelia to be much more combative towards him than she actually was. The warnings must've caused him to have his guard up unintentionally. Today is the first day he decided to drop it. That decision panned out better than he could've imagined. It is pretty obvious that Luis wasn't going to settle for her and truthfully she probably wouldn't have either if she was in her husband's place. ❝ I think the simplest way to put it is that today didn't feel like we were both trying to figure our way around one another. There is no denying that Amelia had enjoyed the fact that he seemed to have let his guard down enough to see another side of him. Femme herself understood why the two were taking things slower than a normal married couple would. Amelia herself knew that it would likely become a mess if the two had rushed things before either felt like not only that their partner is ready but their marriage as well. In the blonde's mind she definitely felt like their marriage is at the point that taking things to the physical level would be fine. Even though Luis never centered his life around women, he never struggled to get him. He's normally more suave than this. For now the femme wants to focus on their relationship before anyone brings up the conversation of the two needing to have to produce an heir. Amelia can't help but let out a soft laugh at Luis's words , and it oddly sounds like the two are on the same page about wanting to be distant from people that piss them off. Maybe the two are made for one another without realizing it at the current moment. ❝ Even if the real reason behind all of this , you can still use it as a romantic advantage. ❞ Femme felt like it is best to point out that the location could be used for multiple purposes for him. It was the quintessential perfect day. Luis didn't plan it out to be this way. Amelia seemed to have full trust in him for honeymoon plans, and he didn't know what else to do besides showing her his home. It is the one place he felt his best. He knew that it is unlikely that they would spend a lot of time here. Her home was in America, and she probably would like to stay close to their family whenever kids came into the picture, but it was nice to give her a picture of where they could go if they needed to run away from trouble back at home. ❝ You have to have some idea otherwise you wouldn't have mentioned it, no?! ❞ pressing her for an answer. Luis felt that he had some other idea of what she meant; he did flirt with her earlier. It is strange how hesistant he felt. He didn't want to rush things, but it was their honeymoon after all. The last thing he wanted was to hear a compliant later or twenty years from now accusing him of being disinterested in her. That was far from the truth. Luis restained his attraction towards her to ensure that she felt comfortable being around him. He knew once they opened up Pandora's box, it would be hard for him to hold back. ❝ I do... It's not everyday you can take someone to lay in the grass and get drunk on a cow farm. I hear that more women ask for more extravagant honeymoons whenever they think of France. They think Paris... Cafes, crossiants and all of the high fashion. That's a big part of it, but my family name comes from humble beginnings. Our diplomacy is to protect this. Amelia honestly didn't know what to expect on how things would be on their honeymoon. So it is a relief that things have been nothing but smooth sailing between the couple. She couldn't remember the last time that things had been so calm in her life , but she did know that it was a feeling she'd like to keep as much as possible. Amelia knew that it was best to just allow her husband have full control on the plans. The blonde knows that there is no denying that their day has been nothing short of being perfect. Amelia could not only sense the pride he held but has showing her the land that will become their's. Maybe she won't say it out loud anytime soon but she enjoyed the fact that Luis wasn't the type of cocky prideful but just prideful in general. Amelia herself did enjoy the scenery and it brought her calmness which hadn't been much of her life before her husband came into her life. Femme definitely didn't expect that she would be so easily letting her guard down , but once again she has been proven wrong. There just seems to be something about the male brings her comfort without really even needing to try. Amelia can't recall if the pair's bodies have been this close to one another other than sharing a bed of course. It definitely something that she'd like to get use to. Femme turns her full attention to her husband when he begins to speak. ❝ I can't put my finger exactly on it at this moment. It just feels like there is something more special about today.
