Hi all,

Here are some example sentences with various combinations of different tense in Portuguese:

1. Talvez eu achasse que ele pudesse esquecer.

Maybe I thought that he could forget.

2. Ele disse que passaria na festa.

He said that he would stop by at the party.

3. Tomara que ele não tente nada estranho.

I hope that he does not try anything  strange. 

4. Ele pediu que eu passasse o sal.

He asked me to pass the salt.

5. Eu teria parado de falar se soubesse que você está com dor de cabeça.

I would have stopped talking if I knew that you have a headache.

6. Eu gostaria que alguém me dissesse o que comer.

I would like someone to tell me what to eat. 

7. Ela ficaria feliz se você tirasse uma fotografia comigo.

She would be happy if you took a picture with me.
