16 for the writing meme?
16 - How many fic ideas are you nurturing right now? Share one of them?
If this is ideas + existing WIPs I haven't published yet, then I can come up with a solid 11 or 12 easily, because I just live like this.
One of the ones I've been thinking about again after getting to see a friend perform Shakespeare a few weeks ago is the Locked Tomb community theater AU, aka Gideon and Harrow both independently get roped into the most chaotic local production of Hamlet ever, with plenty of modern and college AU-type woes and side-plots for the characters to tackle at the same time. I still really want to write this one -- a fun opportunity to mess around with a big ensemble cast of characters I'd love to try my hand at writing, a love letter to Shakespeare's work, and a great opportunity to toy with weaving together themes from two different works of fiction in interesting ways, all bundled into one.
I will grace you all with a very short excerpt from the draft I have for that one, since I actually don't think I've posted any Locked Tomb fic snippets before:
“Pal,” Gideoen said, shoving her recently-returned exam in the TA’s face and shaking it around a little for good measure.“Friend, buddy, pa-- my guy. I’m gonna fucking fail.” Palamedes sighed with far more world-weariness than he should have been allowed, as both someone barely older than she was and the person whose grade wasn’t on the fucking line at the moment -- and pushed his glasses up his nose, looking a little out of sorts from all the yanking. “I did try to persuade him to at least give you partial credit on question nine,” he said. “While it isn’t strictly accurate to say Galileo ‘gave the middle finger’ to the Roman Inquisition, it’s got something approximating the right spirit, and on account of having seen it, I’ll admit thought it was rather funn--” “—Hang on, back up. Seen what?” “His middle finger,” Palamedes replied – simply, as if that wasn’t a totally insane thing to say. “They’ve got it on display in the Museo Galileo, in, ironically enough, something a bit like a reliquary.” “That is fucked-up,” Gideon said, momentarily distracted from her own agonies by something much better – someone else’s agonies. “Is it just like bones now? Dead scientist bones?” “You know, if you care so much about scientist bones you could have treated mine a little kinder. I think I’ve got a bruise forming.”

THE FEELINGS
Carl lived in a town in achimi in a clean and quiet environment and full of places where only a few people blive here can plant different crops plants and vegetables rich in vitamin and then the people here mostly hunt so that can have something to eat instead of vegetable and they don't go out much because it's dark around their town and there
Not much light everytime the night comes
Carl is a well - built man with smooth skin and tall .With a beautiful eyes , eyelashes and piercings nose and other women like. He is a loving son attentive to his parent born in Galileo far from their country , they are a rich family and he has two friends, Nicole is a shy girl but cheerful and lucas is a judgemental boy and smart who are younger friends, they are a well-off family who are always with them every day when they wander.
one day carl woke up in the morning to go in I their school, it's his first time in the senior class, so he's still a little nervous and the name of their school is Teikou University Academy, it's a private school where those who entered it are grade 7 to grade 11 senior high school and it's big tall buildings and only a few entered it and after a few minutes I met friends Carl, Nicole, Lucas
carl: “how are you"? "‚Nicole and Lucas are fine
nicole: "I'm okay ,you're okay, Lucas
lucas: I'm fine
carl: well then, guys, did you eat before leaving? at your house?
nicole: "of course”
lucas: "with nicole", I ate before leaving our house
Narrator: "while Carl, Nicole, and Lucas were walking to Teikou from their school, they saw something in the ameno area with many trees and a quiet place, many trees and slowly they approached.
Carl said: "what is that"? "I saw an old woman
Nicole: "Yes, let's approach him."
lucas: "don't go near that, you don't know and maybe someone else will do that to you, that stinky old man"
carl said :"you're bad" !", lucas you are too judgmental" towards someone, you are not in a good situation.
Nicole: "Yes"Lucas , why are you like that.
narrator : carl gave the old man something to eat and drink
Carl: "Grandma, this bread is for you, and you can drink it .
Lola said: You are a kind child, I wish you were like them, God have mercy on you
Carl: It's okay grandma, I have some money in my pocket so it's okay.
Nicole: yes, grandma, it's okay, I just want Lucas
lucas said: let me go ahead of you to school
Carl: "Be careful when you go to school
lucas : "Nicole and you" ‚ I'm leaving, ahh, I'll go first
Narrator: and when lucas went to school first, carl and nicole followed
Nicole : "Come on Carl" ‚
carl: okay grandma, let's go first, we're going to school, be careful there and go home
Grandma:" You children, be careful when you enter
I will give you something because. you are a good boy"
carl: "what's that grandma"‚?
grandmother I will give this bill to your beloved woman so that you can stay together
carl : thank you grandma
nicole: "what did grandma tell you" ‚?
Carl: There's nothing. Don't worry, we're about to go in. We'll be late entering the room
Nicole: "Come on".
Narrator: After a few hours of walking, they arrived at the school
carl: we finally got to school, we're tired, let's rest while we don't have class.
Nicole : "Yes, it's tiring" ‚
narrator; and after they rested, they went to their room and they sat down and introduced themselves to their teachers, teacher Ivy, this is a kind teacher, after a few hours, their classes ended. Carl got up and went to Nicole and Lucas, they talked, and ate together
carl : "Nicole"‚ ?
Nicole :" carl why do you have something to say "‚?
carl : there is !" do you know the woman in the back "?‚
Nicole : " ahh that "‚ the one sitting behind! that's kassandra why? it's beautiful
carl: yes, she's beautiful, maybe you can walk me to her pls
nicole: "let me think about it carl"
Lucas: "Is that right, Carl, yes, I can see it behind me She's really beautiful, I think there's a Jowa in that carl!
nicole :" hey lucas "! don't say that you need to be positive because carl might get hurt
lucas: I'm sorry. I don't know because I just said my opinion. I'm sorry again for what I said
Nicole: of course , as long as Lucas and I are your friends we always in your side even though you and Kassandra will not be ok
and after school Nicole introduces Kassandra to her friend Carl
Nicole said: Carl, where are Kassandra and I waiting here? I was with him outside of school
carl : I'll be done with it in a moment
Narrator: and when Carl finished what they did, Kassandra and Carl talked about their lives, everything went well after their conversation and Carl asked Kassandra out on a date so they could get to know each other better' t one. manners and after their conversation, Nicole and Lucas went so he invited them to go home
and after a few hours of walking, and they were home
Carl: Mom, I'm back home and I have a story for you, mom, this morning I saw an old woman, then I helped her, I gave her food and something to drink, and she gave me a crystal-colored bill. glowing red
Parents: You are really kind to your son. Take a rest from your father. I know if you are tired from your studies
Carl: Alright, I'll go to sleep
while Carl was sleeping, he thought of what the old man told him, give it to the woman you love the most, and Carl wondered if what the old man was saying was true.
The next day, Carl woke up in the morning to go to school
nicole : Carl, we're awake and we're going in early
carl : I'll be close for a moment there it is
lucas: hurry up carl we will be late for classes naden
carl: "no" I would like to tell you something that Kassandra and I are no longer together
lucas: "yes of course"
and while they were walking, they talked about Kassandra that Carl was going to date and when he got close to Kassandra, he and his friends didn't talk much and Carl continued flirting until he got caught by Karl is Kassandra who is with another man, Jonas, who has a beautiful body and is an elegant man
nicole you can't talk to us anymore ahh
nicole Let's go for a walk friends to relieve stress and fatigue
lucas : yes of course carl you were too serious with kassandra
lucas : "with you" ?
Nicole :" why "! what happened to you"‚ ?
nicole: let's wander around the shinkai first to get rid of it. weight you carry
Carl: Thank you for supporting me
Lucas :no, we're just here as friends
Narrator:and while they were talking , Nicole confessed her feelings
That Nicole has feelings for Carl accept Nicole feelings , Carl doesn't think he will admit his feelings even though Carl has feelings for him , he's just shy to it because it might ruin his friendship and since he found out Carl said that they both had , so when they confessed to each other, their relationship it pass because of the feelings they both had , so when they confessed to each other , their relationship became even more intense , so they became friends until the end live in peace .

Enrichment #2: Page 16 (February 03, 2018)
There are many people living on this planet and all of them have their own views on what life means to them. There are optimist, pessimist, realist and others. With the development of society, the rhythm of modern life is becoming faster and faster. As a result, many people have suffered from the stress and strain of life. Stress is something that affects many people each and every day. Life is full of hassles, deadlines, frustrations and demands. For some people stress is so common it is a way of life. So what is stress? According to Merriam (2012) Stress is a worry caused by a difficult situation or something that causes this condition.
There are three main factors that cause stress. First is Physical stress factors which include all those things that cause stress on the body. Example of it is lack of sleep. Second is Social stressors which refers to the things that have to do with our connectedness (or lack of it!) with other people and the communities we live in. So retirement, for example, which is supposed to be a “good thing” often results in feelings of loneliness and loss of purpose. In fact, any kind of rapid changes in life, whether good or bad, create stress. The third is emotions. Emotions can also be one of the main causes of stress. This frequently shows up in feeling in some way “not good enough.”
According to healthline (2014) there are ten simple ways to relieve stress; listen to music, call a friend, talk yourself through it, eat right, laugh it off, drink tea, be mindful, exercise, sleep better and breathe. Stress is an unavoidable part of life, but that doesn’t mean that you should ignore it. Rather than letting your stress take over your life, try some methods of stress-management that you can apply to prevent and deal with stress before it jeopardizes your health.

My Recent Media Diet, Summer Solstice 2019 Edition
I keep track of every media thing I "consume", so here are quick reviews of some things I've read, seen, heard, and experienced in the past month. I just started reading In the Garden of Beasts by Mark Larson; I loved his The Devil in the White City. On the TV front, I'm holding off on season 3 of The Handmaid's Tale and season 2 of Big Little Lies for some reason...don't want to get sucked into anything right now, I guess. Ditto for catching up on the Historical Cinematic Universe...just not feeling it at the moment. As always, don't pay too much attention to the letter grades...they're higher in the summer than in the cold, depressing winter.
Deadwood: The Movie. A fitting end to one of the best shows on TV. It was great to be able to spend a little more time with it. (A-)
youtube
Booksmart. I loved this movie. Great soundtrack too. (A)
Thermapen Mk4. Finally got tired of my anxiety about overcooking my meat. Been using it with the reverse sear to great effect. (B+)
Serial season 3. I couldn't make it through more than two episodes of each of the previous two seasons, but I went the distance on this one. Is the American system of justice just? I doubt it. (A-)
Working by Robert Caro. The DVD extras for The Power Broker and the LBJ books. I don't have time to read a 3000-page biography of Lyndon Johnson right now, but Working made me want to do it anyway. (A-)
Persuasion System. The latest album from Com Truise. Great for working to. (B+)
Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. An idiosyncratic and deeply personal little museum. I felt very much at home there. (A)
Small Steps, Giant Leaps. Apollo 11 artifacts paired with historic scientific tomes from the likes of Galileo & Newton go together like chocolate and peanut butter. (A-)
Mary Queen of Scots. Nothing much here to distinguish this from your usual historical drama. (B)
Toulouse-Lautrec and the Stars of Paris. Great show at the MFA. Was not a particular fan of Toulouse-Lautrec before but perhaps I am now. (A-)
youtube
Street Food. Interesting to compare this to David Gelb's other show, Chef's Table. Same focus on quality ingredients and serving great food, but very different ends of the economic spectrum. (B+)
Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Caught the peak of the cherry blossoms. Beautiful. But crowded. (A-)
Salt Fat Acid Heat. This wasn't exactly my cup of tea, but I can see what other people love about it. The final episode is the strongest and I thought Nosrat's emphasis on shopping as a vital part of cooking was interesting. (B)
Summer in Vermont. It's been spectacular here lately. (A)
Normal People by Sally Rooney. I burned through this in only two days. (A)
Cumulonimbus mammatus. They're no asperitas clouds, but cumulonimbus mammatus is still one of the best clouds around. (A)
The Ezra Klein Show interview with Alison Gopnik. Gopnik's ideas about gardeners vs carpenters and explore vs exploit are fascinating frameworks for thinking about human creativity. (A-)
Pachinko by Min Jin Lee. It's tough to maintain a coherent story told over several generations, but Lee manages it easily. (A-)
No Country for Old Men. Masterful. (A)
Chernobyl. Sometimes bureaucracy is no match for the truth. See also the accompanying podcast. (A-)
The Lives of Others. Got on a bit of a Cold War kick. (A-)
Always Be My Maybe. Strong ending. (B+)
Toy Story 4. Hollywood is often accused of being super liberal, but I thought the values depicted in this movie were quite conservative. (B+)
Anima. Thom Yorke's solid third solo album. (B+)
13 Minutes to the Moon. There's lots of Apollo stuff out there right now and some of it doesn't bring anything new to the table. But this podcast from the BBC is substantial, with interviews from key players, including Apollo software engineer Margaret Hamilton, who doesn't give many interviews these days. (A-)
Bad Times at the El Royale. Rhymes with Tarantino but not that well. This should have been 90 minutes long. (B-)
Long Shot. Why did this flop? It's not exactly great but it works fine. (B)
Whitney Biennial 2019. Things that caught my eye were Christine Sun Kim's hand-drawn graphs about "deaf rage" and Jeanette Mundt's paintings of Olympic gymnasts based on these composite photos in the NY Times. (B)
Past installments of my media diet are available here.

Dominant Trends in Vehicle Tracking Technology
about fleet managementWhen you analyse carefully, you will understand that the growth of vehicle tracking system business is quite inspiring and obvious all over the world. It’s all thanks to advent in the vehicle tracking technology.
Most vehicles in North America and Europe have started using the system and furthermore you can witness a remarkable growth in Asian markets as well.
According to a recent market study, it was found that there is an estimated growth of $30.45 billion by 2018, at a Compound Annual Growth Rate of 22.8%.
Key driving forces for adopting vehicle tracking technology to the business –
1. Apparent downsizing of tracking units and antenna enabling clandestine mounting and installation in smaller regions
2. Enhanced security due to the theft detection facility and real-time tracking of shipping goods
3. Reduce logistics costs by improved routing, optimized stock utilization and advanced monitoring of business operations
4. Support insurance claims for accident reconstruction using direction, docked position, speed, and acceleration data
5. Provide superior and instant service based on the reports from previous location
6. Facilitate quick recovery of goods, vehicle, or asset
7. Restraint fuel theft
8. Government approval for installing tracking devices in brand new vehicles
9. Subsiding cost and size, and boost the performance of satellite positioning receivers and cellular modems
10. Efficient driver management by careful monitoring of driving behavior (idling times, speeding, etc.)
11. Extended battery life and operation of solar powered devices, exclusively for vehicle tracking devices that do not require any connection to the vehicle power supply.
There are certain hardware issues that should be considered while addressing the above scenarios, and overcoming these issues will be the prime goal in the future:
Agreeability with Multiple Global Navigation Satellite Systems
The time has flown away, where GPS is not the only satellite system available today.
Moreover, there is the Russian GLONASS that is in a fully operating stage, the Chinese BeiDou Navigation Satellite System and Japanese Quasi-Zenith Satellite System is partially operational, and Galileo (European Union’s Global Navigation System) will be available by the year 2019.
And the compatibility of these systems, however, compliance differs from an individual system to multiple system. One of the key issues is the location where the tracking application is used and when it is operating in the weak signal area, there will be an interruption in parallel GNSS operation.
Another consideration is the Government authorization, for example, in Russia, the ERA-GLONASS vehicle emergency call system needs GLONASS compatibility and hence, it should be scrutinized as well.
Management of Poor Satellite Reception
It is possible for GPS/GNSS satellites to transfer a power of about 30 watts from an extension of 20 thousand kilometers and it will be locked onto 4 satellites.
Hence, it will be difficult to trace achievement and certainty in urban canyons, especially, when it is in indoors or the receiver is within the metal containers.
These issues can be resolved using the following techniques:
1. Unified Dead Estimating
GNSS receivers can be improved with sensor data, which helps to report distance and heading changes using the last known position.
This kind of receivers when installed in automotive navigation systems will facilitate smooth navigation within tunnels. In addition to this, accelerometer readings can also be augmented by careful consideration of vertical displacement.
2. Compound Positioning Procedure
In this procedure, you can add a parallel system that speculate based on Wi-Fi cells or visible mobile cells whenever the visibility of GNSS satellite is blocked.
Therefore, you will be able to obtain information about a few kilometers distance and it is better than obtaining no positional information at all, especially, in the case of useful shipments and vehicles.
Agreeability with Multiple Cellular Standards
GSM/GPRS is unsuccessful to the next generation 3G standards such as HSPA, CDMA2000, and LTE. Also, there are alternatives of 3G and 4G standards that function over different frequency bands.
Here, arises the need for cellular modems, that conform to different standards while maintaining footprint compatibility on the same PCB layout.
This lowers the hardware costs as the tracking system is designed with regional variants or upgraded with the next generation tracking technology.
Automotive Grade Components
There is a need for automotive grade components for all vehicle tracking applications. Automotive grade components bear extreme temperature ranges, voltage modulations, inappropriate safety designs, etc.
These components with “automotive grade” should be qualified according to AEC-Q100, fabricated in ISO/TS 16949 certified sites, and undergoes full system testing at the factory.
Meanwhile, all qualification tests should be performed under ISO16750 standard. Vehicle tracking system is a fundamental requirement of every business, that is, dependent on vehicles.

Schloss Einstein Folge 910
Junge, Beweismittel verbrennt man!
Jannis: “Ja.”

The Ledge #460: Covers
As I stated on tonight's all-covers episode, I have a folder on my hard drive where I toss in any cool remakes that I accumulate. When that folder is filled then it's time to do another show of that type.
Well, the folder is full, and was actually overflowing after Wednesday's announcement from Stardumb Records that February 26 will see the release of the K7s tribute to the Ramones' "Mondo Bizarro" album. Yes, Kurt Baker, Luis Sanchez and others have recorded a song by song remake of the entire album.
Another strong collection of covers comes from Drunk Dial Records. "Fake" is a compilation of songs by...well, fake bands from movies and TV. There's a whole set of quick bursts of greatness from bands such as Pavid Vermin and the Thorazines with Hayley Crusher from that tribute.
These are just a few of the highilghts of tonight's show. If you love power pop, punk, Bob Dylan, Americana, and other mini-genres, tonight's show is for you.
After listening, please go purchase those tracks you enjoy! These great artists deserve to be compensated for their hard work, and every purchase surely helps not only pay their bills but fund their next set of wonderful songs. You can find this show at almost any podcast site, including iTunes and Stitcher...or

Re: Things I Failed to Tell You since Your 18th Birthday
It was a night at Max’s Restaurant and almost all of your family members were there alongside Galileo and Einstein people. We, your friends, were up front waiting for our cue to speak, yet as soon as I got hold of the microphone I felt as if I choked on my thoughts as the memories of us together since 7th grade flashed before me (kind of a sci fi thing huh). All I could manage was “Happy birthday, Carmie. You have been my first ever best friend. Alam mo ‘yan. Ha ha. I love you,” and then we hugged.
That was so bad! I had a lot to say, and most importantly how being a part of your life has helped me grow into the Sab that I am right now. However one word from me could trigger my tear ducts and I’ll just end up throwing a crying fit as I try to explain everything.
*Hence, here is a visual to cover up my mess*
I wanted to thank you for what we have shared since 2013. I missed the time when we went to your house just a few hours before our next classes to try on our clothes for our small play that is “Newyorker in Tondo.” I forgot which one of us is “Kikay,” but I was genuinely happy to be fitting the *girly stuff* with you. I could go on with more memories like how I asked for your number in math class (HAHA HENGE DIGITZ). Bro, whY DID I ASK FOR YOUR NUMBER HAHA.
Fast forward a good 3 months of summer vacation, and we were still together in 8th grade. This was such a chaotic academic year for us, and maybe I could start with having Mrs. Bathan, Mrs. Javier, and Mrs. Fronda altogether as our teachers. Otherwise, we met Angge and we spent the whole year hanging out and sharing everything-from music bands to bazaar food and movies. We had statistics which probably sucks, but we dodged the stress with Retrica and CandyCam anyway HAHAHA. We tried to write stories during recess inside math faculty, and I still wonder how many reads would Elliot get if we made him into an extra heartthrob character.
Grade 9- Lavoisier was a sick time. I had a personality crisis I guess, but I’m skipping that part and just proceed to telling you how I miss the moment when we had a spontaneous overnight due to “DNA project problems.” Remember how I wasted the whole afternoon making my DNA model because I was doing it the wrong way HAHAHA so we had to stay the night and watch Love Rosie with Bacs.
I appreciate the rest of 10th grade. Being able to survive the reshuffle was the best because were still together in my dream section name, Einstein. Here I missed how home felt like. We washed the dishes that Diko has left since morning, but I didn’t mind. I was always assigned to open the LPG and the stove because you’re afraid you might blow up the house HAHAHA. I really missed cleaning the Cariaga residence with you and sepanx.
On top of all those memories, I want to express my gratitude for inspiring me to accept every single aspect of myself. You never failed to remind us that we’re all good in our own ways and that success is not measured to how much pressure we subject ourselves into. I admire you for your creativity, and how you’ve taught me how to craft something beautiful out of situations that could actually be depressing and hopeless (i.e for whenever we are cramming some crap together with your parents’ laptop as our only source of technology).
Here's to more achievements together!
Remember that you can tell us anything. Each one of us in Sepanx can be your go-to person.
I love you Carmie, and you always belong with us no matter how busy we’ll get.
P.S: This was our U.P research fair jam! Grade 11 wasn't so bad because of the adventure we've had in Maginhawa. QC nights are not the same without you walking beside me hand-in-hand.

Since its inception in 2010, the Science Explorer bus has served greater than 32,000 college students from over 100 municipalities everywhere in the nation. Contained in the cellular lab, prime younger scientists and engineers educate specialised science and expertise modules to elementary and highschool college students, largely from public colleges in far-flung areas in the Philippines.
This isn’t the primary time Emerson Philippines collaborated with DOST-SEI to convey Science, Know-how, Engineering and Arithmetic (STEM) nearer to the youth. In 2017, Emerson Philippines sponsored DOST’SEI’s innovation competitors known as “imake.wemake: create. innovate. collaborate.” by donating Intel Galileo boards and units of sensors, which served as essential platforms for the coed initiatives.
The 2 events inked partnership anew in the course of the festivities of the 2019 Nationwide Science and Know-how Week on July 17, 2019 on the World Commerce Middle in Pasay Metropolis.
Researchers’ newest findings might assist enhance lung most cancers therapy
(Picture: Salk Institute)
By way of Medical Xpress:
The overwhelming majority of lethal lung most cancers instances (85 p.c) are termed non-small-cell lung carcinomas (NSCLCs), which frequently include a mutated gene known as LKB1. Salk Institute researchers have now found exactly why inactive LKB1 outcomes in most cancers growth. The stunning outcomes, revealed in the web model of Most cancers Discovery on July 26, 2019, spotlight how LBK1 communicates with two enzymes that suppress irritation in addition to cell progress, to dam tumor progress. The findings might result in new therapies for NSCLC.
“For the primary time, we’ve discovered particular direct targets for LKB1 that forestall lung most cancers and found—very unexpectedly—that irritation performs a job in this tumor progress,” says Professor Reuben Shaw, director of the Salk Most cancers Middle and senior creator of the paper.
“With this data, we will hopefully develop new remedies for this huge fraction of lung most cancers sufferers.”
A fossilized tooth from Peru belonged to the tiniest monkey species ever discovered
(Picture: Vladislav Gajic)
By way of ScienceDaily:
A fossilized tooth discovered in Peru’s Amazon jungle has been recognized as belonging to a brand new species of tiny monkey no heavier than a hamster.
The specimen is essential as a result of it helps bridge a 15-million-12 months hole in the fossil report for New World monkeys, says a workforce led by Duke College and the Nationwide College of Piura in Peru.
The brand new fossil was unearthed from an uncovered river financial institution alongside the Río Alto Madre de Dios in southeastern Peru. There, researchers dug up chunks of sandstone and gravel, put them in baggage, and hauled them away to be soaked in water after which strained by sieves to filter out the fossilized enamel, jaws, and bone fragments buried inside.

In a paper revealed on-line July 23 in the Journal of Human Evolution, the workforce dubbed the animal Parvimico materdei, or “tiny monkey from the Mom of God River.”
A forest ‘superorganism’ saved this zombie-like tree ‘alive’

By way of ScienceAlert:
Due to an opportunity statement throughout a woodland ramble, scientists have discovered proof that timber can hold one another alive by sharing water and different sources – forming a sort of ‘superorganism’ that works collectively to maintain people alive.
On this approach, a tree stump has been capable of survive and cycle water, even with out foliage of its personal.
Ecologists Sebastian Leuzinger and Martin Bader noticed the apparently useless kauri pine tree stump (Agathis australis) in one in all New Zealand’s North Island forests, but it surely confirmed one thing that useless timber don’t have: sap working by it.

"Mahirap ba ang STEM?"
Karamihan ay mahirap ang sinasabi ngunit mayroon din na nagsasabing madali. Para sayo anong mas magandang pakinggan? Yung madali o mahirap? Madali diba? Kung itatatak mo lang sa puso't isipan mo na madali lang ito at gagawin mo ang makakaya mo mas magiging madali nalang itong gawin para sayo. Pero pag mahirap, mas magkakaroon ng challenge, which leading to make us grow, improve and develop. So, mahirap siya pero kailangan mong isipin na madali for you not to easily give up.
Many students message and asked that quoted question to us. But one thing is for sure, you're the only one who can really answer that question when you've already experienced it, right? Lahat naman ng bagay na gusto nating makuha ay may kaakibat na kahirapan. Sabi nga nila mas masarap namnamin ang tagumpay kung alam mong pinaghirapan mong makuha ito. STEM strand is difficult but you will take it easy as long as you have willingness to learn. Kung kagustuhan mo talagang mag STEM pero nagdadalawang isip ka kasi parang mahirap, ako na po mismo nagsasabi sayo na hindi mo pagsisisihan yang desisyon mo.😊
We, admins, are giving our best to help and willing to encourage, motivate, inspire and most importantly to share our knowledge and experiences to our fellow co-STEM students. We want to share the topics/lessons for them to do advance reading. 👍
Sa mga incoming gr 11 students nga mahirap na para sakanila ngayon, pero since kami yung pioneers kamusta kami nung kami yung gr 11 dba? As in first time lahat at walang alam kung ano yung nasa STEM pero kinaya namin, kayo pa kaya na may background information na?
To those aspiring and incoming grade 11 STEM students, don't be afraid and don't think na baka di mo kaya yung STEM ng dahil sa mahina ka sa math or dahil puro science and math ang subjects nito. Kasipagan sa pag aaral, tiyaga sa pagrereview, tiwala sa sarili na kakayanin at pananalig sa itaas ang kailangan.☝
It's not about how intelligent you are. The important things you must consider are your passion and dedication for the strand. -Admin Euclid
To be a STEM student is not easy but if you have determination to learn, you will take it easy. -Admin Galileo
Success won't exist without Hardship -Admin Hypatia
I would like to thank you for your continuous trust and support. Through that, expect that we will continue to help anyone for the improvement of everyone. Love you all. -Admin Archimedes
"Pursue what you want and challenge yourself." Keep fighting ka-STEM! And keep supporting our page, thankyou!!💕-Socrates🌸

Bankruptcy court frees payment to OneWeb Satellites to restart satellite manufacturing

Bankruptcy court frees payment to OneWeb Satellites to restart satellite manufacturing
WASHINGTON — OneWeb received permission from a U.S. bankruptcy court Friday to pay its satellite vendor to resume building spacecraft for the company’s broadband megaconstellation.
The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York approved the payment during a July 10 hearing that clears the way for the sale of OneWeb to the British government and Bharti Global, which bid together July 3 as BidCo 100 Ltd. to acquire the bankrupt megaconstellation startup and return it to operations.
The court also approved BidCo 100’s plan to replace SoftBank and Grupo Elektra as OneWeb’s interim financial backer and provide up to $50.7 million in financing to allow work to resume at OneWeb Satellites, the joint venture Airbus and OneWeb created in 2016 to build hundreds and potentially thousands of satellites for the OneWeb constellation.
BidCo plans to invest $1 billion in OneWeb, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in March. Around $640 million will be available to fund OneWeb operations after subtracting administrative costs, debt payments and interim financing, satellite industry analysts Quilty Analytics estimated July 8.
OneWeb told the court before the July 10 hearing that making pre-payments to OneWeb Satellites will allow the joint venture to “preserve its supply chain and resume constructing the satellites, as envisioned and required” under the terms of BidCo’s acquisition.
The number of satellites to be built was not specified. OneWeb Satellites spokesperson Molly Townsend said July 13 that the companies are still working out changes to a contract that originally covered 648 satellites. She declined to say how many satellites were built before OneWeb largely suspended its operations upon filing for bankruptcy.
As of January, OneWeb Satellites was producing two satellites per day at its Florida factory. In March, OneWeb launched 34 satellites, raising its on-orbit total to 74. Prior to filing for bankruptcy that month, OneWeb said it would pause its launch campaign until May, when it planned to put up another 30 or more satellites.
While the OneWeb Satellites factory was built expressly for the purpose of mass producing OneWeb satellites, it’s unclear the extent of manufacturing that will stay in Florida given the British government’s desire to see the U.K. play a more meaningful role in building the constellation.
Alok Sharma, the U.K.’s secretary of state for business, energy and industrial strategy, said July 9 that a near-term benefit of buying OneWeb is securing British jobs already tied to the project. OneWeb’s U.K.-based suppliers include component supplier Teledyne Defence & Space and mission planning software specialist Scisys (now CGI).
“Longer term, we would want to look and see what we can do in terms of direct manufacturing,” Sharma said during a meeting of the U.K Parliament’s Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Committee.
Sharma said the U.K. government is also considering how it could use OneWeb as a global satellite navigation system, or GNSS.
“There’s been debate around GNSS — and that wasn’t the rationale for this particular investment — but we are of course exploring how OneWeb may be able to contribute to [position, navigation and timing] resilience in the future,” he said.
The U.K. government continues to rely on the Galileo satellite navigation system its industry helped build. However, the U.K. has been exploring domestic alternatives since its decision to leave the European Union raised questions about assured access to Galileo’s military-grade encrypted signals.
Sharma said the U.K. government’s main reasons for investing in the company were commercial and strategic, with the commercial rationale being “the provision of broadband to people in remote areas,” as well as on planes and boats. He said OneWeb provides “strategic geopolitical opportunities for the U.K.” as Britain seeks to become “a world leader in the space sector.”
