Let’s get to know 2 more of our talented GenXtraDecor hosts this week...Meet @drbdesignco and @thethriftydebutante Nancy of @drbdesignco grew up in the Bahamas, was educated in the south & mid-west, & spent 20 years as an event planner in Washington DC. She now lives in Mission Hills, KS, where her home & garden are adorned with a collected, sentimental & whimsy feel. Her design aesthetic was formed at the knee of her mother (for whom drbdesignco is named); the ultimate hostess and creator of all things beautiful. Nancy finds “things with a past” much more interesting than new, but isn’t afraid to mix a #targetfind with an antique. She’s drawn to anything you can add blooms to or use to entertain. Gigi, The Thrifty Debutante hails from Manhattan. She says that growing up poor on Fifth Avenue, she learned how to look the part without paying the price. Working at Christie’s auction house didn’t hurt either. She attributes her keen eye to simply being around beautiful things all her life.
