Long time no see, friends!

I must admit, with great shame, that i have been so busy working and sleeping that I haven’t posted and shown some of my favourite accounts some love. Summary: It was late as the moon hung high in the dark mist of sky, casting a golden glow across Piltover. Your girlfriend soon returned from her duties, but unfortunately, it won’t last too long—though it seems you’d have to make the best of the little time.

The moon hung high with a bright overcast, contrasting the dark abyss of the sky as it became later into the night. You were just now getting out of the shower, soon slipping on some casual sleeping clothes as you waited for your girlfriend to return home to you.

You roamed around the apartment, hating how silent it was without her; feeling a small frown come across your lips. A small sigh flowed from your mouth as you gazed over the living room before your eyes snapped to the door opening—presenting Maddie in her usual enforcer outfit.

A smile immediately replaced the frown, quickly rushing over to her as you pulled her into a tight hug, nuzzling into her neck while she wrapped her arms around your waist.

“Missed me, Love?”

You nodded with a hum of contentment, pulling back to gaze into those pretty blues of hers—the ones you would lose yourself in each time you gazed in them. Your eyes soon caught sight of the cut on her cheeks, quickly taking her face in your hands, “How’d you get this, hm?”

She winced slightly as you gently touched the wound, seeing that it was still recovering. “Nothing too bad. Had to help Steb with a little arrest, but it went a bit south..” Her voice had a small sheepish tone to it, knowing how you would worry—especially with the job she does.

Without another word, you lead her to the bathroom and settled her down on the toilet seat while you grabbed the med kit to clean her wound. Your hand gently cradled her face as your other hand gently dapper the alcohol to the wound—earn a wince from her.

You stayed silent as you worked vigilantly, not wanting to irritate the wound more as it was. Your eyes would briefly flicker to her eyes, lips, and her nose before focusing back on the wound at hand. It was a nice silent before she broke it.

“You know, I head out tomorrow.”

Your motion abruptly stopped as her words caught you off guard, staring at her with a hint of sadness and disbelief. Quickly finishing patch the wound up, you leaned back as you placed your hands on your hips as a worried expression wore your face, “Maddie, Sweetheart, why didn’t you tell me earlier? Plus, you know how I feel about you doin’ this—what if you get caught?”

Her brows furrowed together as she clenched her jaw, looking at you with a soft expression as her hands came to your waist—pulling you closer to stand between her legs. “Because I knew you would react like this…Don’t be like that, baby. Listen to me, I’ll be fine and no one will find out, yeah? Don’t you trust me, hm?”

Your lips twisted into a frown as your gazed at her, clenching your jaw slightly before softening as you met her gaze, “I do, but still..”

A small smile tugged at her lips as she could see your conflicted expression, knowing you couldn’t help your worry nature. “I always make it back to my sweet girl, don’t I, Love?” She teased, attempting to lighten the semi-saddened mood in the moment.

You just stared at her with that same saddened expression before a small smile ghosted your lips, knowing she was a tough soldier and could handle herself. “You do..”

“Exactly…Plus you know much Ambessa trusts me to do this, love..” She whispered softly, moving her hand from your waist to your cheek—stroking the skin softly.

You nuzzled into the sweet touch, the touch you’ve craved ever since she left to handle her duties in Piltover, but you both know it’ll be craved even more with her departure to Noxus.

“How long will you be gone, Maddie?”

“As long as I’m needed, hun…”

A small frown ghosted over you lips once more, knowing it would be till god knows when you’ll see her again—only hoping that she return back. Your nose flared with a huff escaping before you caressed her cheek, leaning to kiss her bandage—only for her to grasp your chin and pull you into a soft, slow kiss.

The kiss became more and more heated and intimate—feeling her hands roamed down your body. Your hands running through the gingery locks. Heavy breathing and the soft smacks of your lips colliding. God, it was everything you miss, and damn were you gonna miss it even more with her upcoming leave.

May I just say: you are THE Maddie Nolen writer 🫵 Omigosh‼️

When i finished the fic, the first thing to leave my mouth was "Holy crap" and then i happened to read the title again AND GIRL YOU NAMED THAT PERFECTLY

I came here bc wanted to compliment you on your ability to make the reader's looks ambiguous. When I read the slapping warning I was bracing myself to read the something along the lines of "your skin reddened" or something but that never came. As someone with a darker complexion I appreciated that. (I ended up seeing that you put Black fem on your pinned post so that makes sense). But i also wanted to say that I liked how the height was up for interpretation too. It was mention that the reader tilted Maddie's head and I loved how it didn't say up or down, just tilted. (Idk if that was intentional but I enjoyed it regardless). And body type wasn't mentioned either, so it's easy for someone to see themself no matter if they're bigger or smaller 🤗 (i have 0 curves so I was thankful)

Aside from the reader, I really enjoyed how you wrote Maddie. I thought most people would write her as like a "soft cinnamon, doe-eyed girl" when she's looked SO COLD during cait's execution, plus she's a soldier FROM NOXUS. You gave her an amazing personality in just a oneshot. I loved your portrayal of her, and hope to see more fics from you <3
