11 - A breed you love, but can never see yourself having?

I adore Goldens. So fun to work with, beautiful, and sweet. They wake up every day and decide to have a good day. I love training any Golden that comes in to work. But I just prefer springy-er, snappier dogs for my own. Might compromise and get a toller one day. A working line Golden might work for me too? But I've never met one so idk!

2. Did you reread anything? What?

Oh, so much. I already mentioned two of the books when I talked about my favourite books. I also reread the three first books in the Chorus of Dragons series by Jenn Lyons (and then finally finished the series 💫), Ravensong and Heartsong by TJ Klune, book one through three of the CIty of Spires series by Claudie Arseneault (also to finish the series 😅), a few more first books in series and a few romance books.

11. What was your favorite book that has been out for a while, but you just now read?

Pretty much all the Discworld books I read this year, my favorites of those were Hogfather, Feet of Clay and Men at Arms

17. Did any books surprise you with how good they were?

The Weight of Blood by Tiffany D. Jackson because there isn't a lot of young adult fiction that impresses me anymore these days. Also I'm always surprised when a book that is obviously inspired by another book (Carrie in this case) works much better for me than the original 😅

Also, The Inheritance of Orquídea Divina by Zoraida Córdova because I expected it to be young adult magical realism, but it was adult and it was so good.

1 - How many dogs do you have?

As of two days ago, I have two! 😊

31 - Is your dog really food motivated, play motivated, praise motivated, or something else?

Rogue is very food motivated. He works wonderfully for just his kibble. He'll work for a ball to a point as well. But he's never liked tug and doesn't really give a damn if I praise him lol.

Tarot is all PLAY PLAY PLAY. He wants nothing more than to tug like his life depends on it, or to chase down a disc/ball/flirt pole. He likes to be pet as well for smaller rewards. Hasn't really been taking food for training but he's only been home for about two days! Foster said he would work for kibble with her so I think he's just adjusting.

73 - Is there anything you look forward to doing every day with your dog?

There's really not one set thing that we do every single day. Disc is my favorite though! But I only do that a couple times a week so it stays exciting for the dogs.

6) Did you grow up with dogs?

Yes! My grandparents have always had dogs and I was the one who chose the last two GSD puppies they got, the first one when I was less than 2 years old :D They live right next door to us so I usually saw and still see their dog at least once a day.

7) What was your first dogs name?

Luna is the first dog I own, the first of my grandparents' dogs that I got to choose was named Kora.

8) Do you have any “saved” names for future dogs?

My next dog is gonna be called Sol, pretty much just for the joke of owning Luna and Sol (yeah that's also why the URL of this blog is what it is). So far I don't have any other saved names.

@graceking the dog in question was a kitchen sink mini bichon/oodle, the kind with the bad coat and long weak back that somehow always turns out bowlegged in front and with a nasty underbite. but any of those factors in isolation will do it for me 😉

A few days ago I pointed a dog out to my mom and said I think those are so ugly that if they were the only dogs available I would rather not have dogs and she thought it was a tad harsh.
