a child wakes up in darkness guided by a remnant of a light begging them to save this world.

only for it to be revealed later on that it was them who destroyed it themselves beyond repair.

and that for some reason despite STILL wanting to destroy it they just cannot allow it to fall apart.

on the other hand there's the core of the world. the world's star. having been abused and taken advantage enslaved to the will of an obsessive soul it wishes to cut itself lose.

it wishes to go out and take everything else down with it out of spite. the light bulp is not a device that will save everyone.

it's an oil lamp that used to contain the star.
