I saw you post Dungeon Meshi, come and join me in the frantic devotion that is Falin, and Marcille's relationship, and how it is the best modern example of a gothic couple please.

Temptation is great, wallet is thin. Likewise for the shallow well of my attention and focus. I am already buried several miles beneath the Earth, crushed beneath 19th century horrors, scribbling, and the Promethean cycle of job hunting.

The last one is the main issue. I want to buy the manga so bad and/or throw myself into the anime S o B a d, but that (plus a number of other wishlist to-dos) are things I'm holding off until I have a paycheck coming in again carrot-and-stick style. Until then, I am tentatively sniffing at others' fanworks and replaying the Falin Chimera Reveal on YouTube more times than I care to admit

I know I know I can be a fan without having The Thing in My Hands but it makes me chafe to not have the textbook manga in front of me. ANYWAY. Restarting DAO to finally start my canon run through, I am really appreciating how Morrigan’s romance is the complete opposite of “I can save him.” She really just looked at my Amell and decided “I can make him worse,” and I love that for him. Straight-laced Circle mage would do really well with a girlfriend who supports him on this journey toward becoming a feral asshole.

What did you think of the costuming for WWDITS for Nadja? Were there some special historical facts that you noticed in her dresses or was it generally "fantasy" historical?

Hey there! Sorry it's taken me a while to get to this - it's like answering the phone, I mostly get spam asks so I don't pay too much attention to my inbox.

Nadja's costumes are incredible neo-Victorian gothwear, but rarely actual historical costuming. Occasionally something seems more specific, usually when it has one of the particular 1890s sleeve shapes: (pics from @kaschuss, see the ultimate Nadja fashion compendium)
