The league of extraordinary gentlemen

The leader of the group, Henry Jekyll, a wise old doctor in his 50s, is a well known medic that is personally liked by society. He had created this league as to atone for his crimes as Hyde. The league is similar to detective agency, they solve mysteries from murders to something more paranormal. Jekyll is the best problem solver of the group

Hyde is still Jekyll but is his emotional faults, as Jekyll he always seems stoic and polite, Hyde however is angry and high energy. He is Jekylls emotional outlit, those emotions that he keeps well out of polite society.

He still has to work on the balance between Jekyll and Hyde as the transformations are based on mental and emotional stability. To specify it doesn't mean Jekyll will become Hyde if angry, well It does, but not only angry. Mainly when he feels overwhelmed. Hyde has a boost of energy, but like adrenaline, it will quickly subside and Hyde will pass out.

Im not a fan of the league of extraordinary gentlemen, but I like it's idea, I'm not trying to fix it, just seeing what I would do with the same idea

Hello yes, I am part of the niche blond Victor Frankenstein superiority movement, which may very well be just me at this point.

He looks a bit stoic here which is totally how he wants you to see him, he’s dressed nicely but I think that’s probably Elisabeth’s doing lol, I think he insisted on the tie though, to her annoyance.

Also no that’s not a rash on his face but I’m also not gonna tell you what it is ha ha…yeah, it’s lichtenberg scarring..l- ok

… I do not believe that I do not have anything to fear in that regard. I will always pay mine to being the kindest and patient that I can be towards others. Anything — when taken alongside that — would not be monstrous. I find the difficulty of this question moderate.

Griffin/invisible man very quiet fellow who to some would think as calm, he is anything but calm. His first answer to anything is violence, though he might not immediately go into fights like Hyde, he will definitely threaten violence. Due to being tall and mysterious people would rather not mess with him. Griffins aggressive personality comes from the invisibility, it leaves him constantly agitated. He has little patience for everyone, except Hyde. Jekyll is a close friend to Griffin, and he knows Hyde is the most sensitive side of Jekyll and must be taken care of accordingly. He has a lot of patience for Hyde and makes sure he isn't left to his own devices for too long. He does complain a LOT about it but he doesn't really mean it. His quiet nature helps him hide around and always seems to be a jump scare to others. He never seems to scare Jekyll, he always seems to know when he's around.

I read it as a relationship where Clarence's feelings are very strong, but he's too afraid of disrupting the friendship to admit to them, so he tries to instead remain professional and distant. Yves, meanwhile, is either entirely unaware of Clarence's feelings for him, or choosing to ignore them for one reason or another. Either way, their relationship is like the moon and the sea - the tide is pulled towards the moon even though the moon cannot see the ocean below.

The goth lit ask blogs were taking over my braincells, as they often do. @gabrieluttersonsuggestions, @garbageratsinatrenchcoat, @henryjekyllposts, @doctorlanyonblog, @imnotreanimatingthedeaddog, @clervalchats, and @thegothiclitcoffeeshop! I adore these asks blogs so much; they always light up my day, and reading replies to either my questions or other’s questions gives me a big ol’ smile.

Yet, it occurred to me that, even though I do not reply anonymously, I sort of reply as a character. I lean heavily into calling myself a vampire and sass and tease in ways that I ordinarily wouldn’t. I’ve... almost, accidentally... made an OC...

So, whilst bored out of my mind at work, I decided to ponder about what this ask-blog version of myself is like. I do not have time to draw him right now, but here are some rough rambles of my Goth Lit sona/OC.

“Ducky” He/they pronouns.

Vampire! Cannot remember his mortal life, so he kinda forgot his real name. Oops? Maybe someone can help him remember things?

Got the nickname “Ducky” because their bat form has a yellow tinted snout, resembling a duck’s beak.

Dracula hates him: Ducky owes Drac money and is kinda on the run from both him and many vampire hunters, like Van Helsing.

Being stalked by a hedgehog that he reanimated by mistake. Sometimes it’s a friend, sometimes it’s an ominous presence.

Thinks all arguments can be solved by showering people in apology flowers. (Flower language is a favourite of his!).

Speaking of flowers, they like to wear flower crowns and laurels. Their favourite flowers are blue hyacinths, sunflowers and yellow roses.

Thinks Edward Hyde and Frankenstein's Creature are really pretty, but is too embarrassed to admit it. (Also admiring Henry Jekyll and Gabriel Utterson from afar, but more in an admiration way than a crush way).

Hides their awkwardness behind their sass and formalities.

Visits Chauncey’s café purely to gossip and prank people (and totally not hide from vampire hunters).

Myrvin McGrove a star mage apprentice and next in line for fox protector of the local forest.

Jaxie Richard a knight in training who also works really hard to have a social life

Lemon “Lemy” Blixt a lemon orchard farmer who is very tired and is the life that gives you lemons

Charlotte Richard, a sneaky rogue of the land and also Jaxie’s sister!!! Family dinners are a bit tense

And now things I’ve changed for the design and whyyyyyy and how it fits in the storrryyyyyyyyyyyyy

First off! I had no desire to draw these characters for a while which told me that I needed to change some things to make them exciting to draw again.

Now originally this story was set in a modern world and the characters were placed into a fantasy world. I apparently don’t like modern settings for my stories so full on fantasy we go! I’m also a SUCKER for fantasy give me full control of the world to sandbox in

Because of this some designs were changed.

I changed Myrvins deer mask to fox because I feel like it’s a better insight into this guys character and there is a fox constellation! I also already have a deer character in my other story Opal Reapers and I didn’t want repeats

And due to my experiences with (hopefully temporary) vision loss I wanted to change a bit on how Myrvins vision loss worked. Such as having a short white ID cane that’s great to help with depth perception and having his mask cover 1 eye to make things easier for him. I did change his scar to be more star shape and his cape to look like that of a fox!

Now Jaxie, jaxie has been the one name from when these guys were septic ego OCs that kept the name so I also switched it and put an x in there. X marks the spot for Myrvins affection apparently and also probleeeemmmsss. He needs a break! 👏👏👏 went for more knight armor but kept some elements from his previous design such as ginger hair and his double lit candle tattoo. And the red hoodie that is his STAPLE

LEMY!!!!!! I love Lemy. So I never shared this character but they were suppose to be a guide for Myrvin in the original fantasy world. But now they don’t need that and I still wanted a reference to the original title dealing with orchard. But we already got our red character so yellow it was! Our sour lemon lantern orchard farmer. I designed her hat to look like a straw hat but still be part of her head design I am so happy with it. Also gives scarecrow vibes

AND CHARLOTTE!!!!!!!!! GOD SHES FINALLY BEEN GIVEN TRAITS DEAR STARS. So originally went from being Jaxies brother, to goth sister named Charlie, to now Charlotte problem was that I didn’t know what role she played in the story. She’s a lesbian mess with a knife I love her. She’s a rose both pretty and will slice ya. Big dramatic anime villain vibes for someone who is not a villain. Both Charlotte and Jaxie are trans because I think it’s funny to think that they were told to share as kids and shared everything including their gender and never asked for it back.

The story is still gonna revolve around the Solar and lunar Eclipses drama and poor communication skills and take up Myrvin and Jaxie as there champions as celestial entities DO. Which I shall design….. eventually

This one is less of a fight scene and more of a humanity drop moment with her 1st coterie: My Name Is Human by Highly Suspect Get up off your knees, girl Stand face to face with your God And find out what you are

Sabotage by the Beastie Boys this one has a particular scene from Hazel's first chronicle. She and her coterie discovered the headquarters the SI in Atlanta. The coterie all knew they were the Cam's favorite scapegoat, and decided to make sure the problem was uprooted before word ever reached their most merciful Prince's ears... or worse, their adoptive sire. Cue molotov cocktails, chase scenes to lure hunters into danger, computers being blue screened and harddrives smashed, and one explosion with three thinbloods not turning back to look at. It was almost perfect. Almost.
