This outfit is so dang cute and Rue herself actually owns the hoodie! (and rocks it~) 😁✨ It was really fun having Mizore wear it; first time she’s worn something with a hood! 🖤

Siouxsie formed her band The Banshees (at the time consisting of Steve Severin, Sid Vicious, and Marco Pirroni) only a few days before the 100 Club Punk Special after being told by Malcolm McLaren that there was a need for one more band

There was a vacant space for a group, and it was being discussed at Louise’s. Perhaps someone had pulled out. Malcolm was saying, ‘We need another band’, and I volunteered. ‘We’ve got a band.’ And we hadn’t, we spent the night trying to find a band. - Siouxsie Sioux, The England's Dreaming Tapes

since The Banshees had no songs of their own, their set consisted of a 20 minute improvisation based on the Lord's Prayer and a few covers of 'uncool' songs just to infuriate the audience

It was taking the piss out of all the things we hated. Whether Marco put it in for whatever reason, and me wailing over the top of it, not singing the lyrics but singing ‘Knocking on Heaven’s Door’ to ‘Smoke on the Water’ and ‘The Lord’s Prayer’, and Steve trying to find how to turn his bass on, or something. And Sid with this bull-dozer rhythm, relentless banging. [...] We expected to be stopped by outside forces. We didn’t envisage being able to get away with it, really. One of the songs was ‘She Loves You’, and also ‘Young Love’ by the Bay City Rollers. What song do you really hate? What would you like to throw in as a shock tactic? What can we mutilate and destroy? The Banshees were meant to split up after the gig but they were asked to play more so Siouxsie and Severin decided to commit to being musicians and asked Kenny Morris and Peter Fenton to come aboard. the rest is punk/goth history!
