Okay, time to answer all of these! :D

Have you seen/are you going to see the new Aladdin?Oh, of course! I won’t be seeing it in the theater though, so it’ll take me awhile to see it. But once it’s available for rent/streaming - I’m definitely gonna see it. I have to see how they handle that super whumpy drowning scene, after all ;) I’ve already seen some GIFs of the genie and him AFTER the drowning... but I gotta see the bondage/gag and the actual drowning. I hope they don’t let me (and, like, a million other whumpers and also all the gay men who love bondage) down! No pressure or anything, Disney, just don’t fuck it up.

What do you think awakened whump in your childhood?Oh, gosh. I honestly don’t know WHAT awakens the love of whump in people, despite all of my wondering about it. It does seem like most of us start loving it in our childhoods, and I’m certainly no different. But it seems like we just... see something and like it. It feels less like it inspired us to like it than that it was inevitable that we’ll like it and it just depends on whatever it is we see first. For me, it was either old daytime reruns of the 1960s Batman series, or a particularly long General Hospital storyline, where one of the characters was held captive in a dog kennel for weeks while her two lovers (one her ex-husband, one her current one, both still in love with her) searched for her. The kidnapper taunted them continually, and even sent photos of her suffering to upset them. It was great. That storyline and the Batman shows are my fondest memories of whump as a kid. It wasn’t until a while later that I saw some of the classic Disney whump a lot of whumpers found in their childhood - for some reason, I never saw Sleeping Beauty until high school, and Aladdin came out around the same time.

When did you realize what whump was?Oh, gosh. Well, whump wasn’t even a thing until I was in high school, I think, in the 90s when Stargate: Atlantis was on. And I wasn’t into that show at the time, and the term kind of fell out of favor and lost popularity after that show. It didn’t really “catch on” in any other fandoms or in fandom in general until the more recent resurgence of the term here on Tumblr :) Before that, we all mostly made do with the “hurt/comfort” tag or with the gay community’s “get” content and various other things that would pop up. The X-Files community was where I first got involved with other people loving what we now call whump. There was a website that collected all the hurt/comfort (and just plain hurt ;)) stories in the fandom, and it was called Mulder Torture Anonymous. It was HEAVEN. And, sadly, I never found anything else remotely like it until all of these wonderful whump blogs started showing up on Tumblr. HEAVEN REBORN :D 

Incidentally, Mulder Torture Anonymous is one of the main inspirations for my blog - both the content (obviously) and the organization.

Do you have any pets?Not anymore. I’ve almost always had pets before now, but our last one was this absolutely adorable little dog (a chihuahua/spaniel mix, like a miniature spaniel) who was ridiculously intelligent and affectionate and... I have never seen a smarter animal with anywhere near as big of a personality. She passed on about 2 years ago, and my entire family has agreed that, quite honestly, any other dog/pet we could possibly get just simply wouldn’t live up to her memory. And none of us want to adopt another dog that we’ll constantly feel isn’t as special as that one was. She basically ruined us all for other pets, haha, but we feel like having her in our lives was the greatest blessing we could ever ask for.

What are your top 5 favorite whump tropes?Captivity!!! I love long term captivity, when the whumpee is kidnapped and held somewhere, long enough for them to start breaking down and losing hope and all that wonderful stuff. Kidnappings in general are great. Bondage, as well. I love mental institution tropes, where the whumpee is being held against their will in an asylum run by nefarious people. And RESCUES! I love rescues. I hate it when whumpees free themselves or get set free by the bad guys. There HAS to be a big rescue at the end of the scenario, or I feel unsatisfied.

Do you prefer hurt/comfort or hurt/no comfort?Oh, I have to have the comfort!!! I mean, don’t get me wrong - if there’s no comfort, I’ll still enjoy the hurt. But if there’s no comfort in the content as its presented, I’ll feel unsatisfied and usually have to imagine the comfort for myself. Unfortunately, that happens a lot with TV shows and movies, where they chintz out on the comfort. That’s usually when I end up stealing their hurt scene and re-writing it with my favorite whumpee du jour and adding some damn comfort on the end. Gotta have the comfort. It’s like the whump version of a money shot.

Have you ever told anyone that you liked whumpy and they discovered they liked whump?Honestly, I feel like making this blog was that for me XD When I started it, there was only a handful of active whump blogs, and only a couple of Hook fans being outwardly obvious about loving to “torture” the pirate - and even then, it was usually with angst and emotional suffering ;) When I started, I wasn’t worried about being accepted in the whump community, though I was worried a lot of people wouldn’t be interested in such a narrowly specific whump blog. It was the Once community I was worried about - I expected to either be chased out of town entirely or more or less ignored by most folks XD I honestly never expected so many Hook fans to embrace me and my blog, and not only accept that I like whump, but to admit they like it too! It’s part of the reason why I will die on the hill of Colin/Hook having the best fandom around - because the warmth and acceptance I’ve gotten here, even amongst those who don’t like whump at all, has been nothing short of legendary.

Between the Whump Community and Colin’s Fandom, I really could not ask for a better bunch of folks to blog with and be friends with

DREAM JOB: I would love to make money as a writer. Although, I did recently do a course to become a certified verbal storyteller and am super excited to see what doors that will open for me.

Chrianna Short: Small World

Robyn playfully bobbed her head to the upbeat rap song as Melissa and Lyrica encouraged her antics. The three have been running around the streets of New York all night. Lyrica is someone Rihanna has known for years through mutual circles.

She recently reached out to the songtress to assist her with her upcoming  album, though Anti was very successful she’s been recording new material. The black escalade came to a halt and all of the ladies made their way inside of the studio.

Robyn exhaled from the nostalgic feeling this place gave her. This is the place she recorded Disturbia and even the remixes to Birthday Cake and Turn Up The Music. New York was a place that flooded with memories of her ex. She hasn’t spoken to him in months and finds herself praying for his well being more than she likes.

“Rih Rih are you ready to hear the song?” Lyrica removes her from her thoughts.

“Yeah bitch I’m ready.”

Melissa sparks a blunt as the melodic vocals of Lyrica flood the speakers.

Rihanna signals for her to stop the track. She pulls from the extendo blunt before expressing her honest opinion.

“Lyrica where you at?” His country voice boomed loudly throughout the empty studio

He gave Lyrica a disapproving look before extending his arms out to hug her. She didn’t want them to think this was any type of set up or anything.

“What’s up Fenty?” His voice exuded so much confidence.

He smirked at her thick accent coming to life. An awkward silence dominated the room for a few moments before Chris broke the ice.

“So what yall up here working on?”

“A song I wrote that I want Rih to lay down.”

“Damn girl you working on a new album already? I’m still playing Anti back to back?”

“Well you know I learned from the best?”

Lyrica and Melissa felt they were living in an alternate universe. The ex couple seem so calm to be around each other.

“Aye Robs would you like to come to my sessions? Theres a few bonus tracks I’m working on. I always liked your opinion.”

Rihanna hesitated before nodding her head in agreement. The duo walked to the elevator side by side in silence.

“You know Chris I really enjoyed your album. Its like I know how talented you are first hand but that was a bold move to releases so many songs at once.”

Chris snickers lowly to himself, of course she would pinpoint the records that are inspired by her.

The elevator bings alerting them that their stop has arrived. They exit the elevator and make a left before entering the studio. To Robyn’s surprise the room is empty with the exception of the engineer and figure that’s lounging on the sofa.

“I’ve been waiting for you to come back.” A jolly petite girl greets Chris. The same girl Rih has saw Chris hanging with frequently.

“Oh my gosh Rihanna I’m such a huge fan.”

“Isn’t everyone?”  Rihanna rudely says

Christopher sways his head back and forth at the shift in her attitude.

“Agnez I’ll be with you in a second. I have to talk to Rihanna.” He waits for her to be out of earshot before he begins talking.

“Robyn please d-o.”

“Don’t Robyn me this is the bullshit you do to me? Really Chris? You haven't fucking grew up. You have me up here looking like a fool in front of your new bitch.”

“Have you lost your fucking marbles? I don’t have a girl.”

“This is why the fuck I do me instead of being stupid waiting around for you to get a fucking clue.”

“What the fuck are you talking about? I can do what the fuck I please. You made it perfectly clear to everyone you were off me. Even if this was a girl I’m seeing it wouldn't be your business. You can go on fucking magic carpet rides with Aladdin but I always have to be good Chris wait until Robyn comes home. I’m a fucking man not a house dog.”

“You so fucking stupid and childish.”

“Im not about to waste my time arguing with your ass. It’s pointless. I’ll see you around.” “Chris are you fucking serious? You can walk away from me just like that?”

“I should be the one saying that shit you broke up with me remember or did you forget?”

“I just want to know when did you decide to walk away from me and stay fucking gone? I’ve told you to leave plenty of times.”

“Robyn just months ago we were building again and you were seeing someone else. It wasn't the fact that you were dating its the fact you lied. I had to find out from a fucking blog and I’ve been nothing but honest with you.”

“I’m just tired I’m just tired of it all. I guess I’ll see you around.”

Robyn exited the room feeling uneasy. She has been told many times this is unhealthy yet she can’t stay away. Now guilt is settling in and she feels foolish for assuming.

A few hours go by and Chris is still in the studio laying down tracks. He hates that Robyn can still take him there after so long. He is now in the company of himself with no one around. His phone chimes alerting him that he has a message.

From Robyn: Anti track: 11 is how I will always feel about you. I hate that I love you so much.

Christopher strolls his I tunes library before landing on Rihanna’s track-list.He hits play and one of his favorite tunes begins to play. He smiled widely as he begins to hum along to Love On The Brain

Why I chose My URL: It actually took me a long time to choose my url. I wanted it to be something close to the song lyrics from Frozen if not a direct quote, but I also wanted it to symbolize the more traumatic/sad, pre/mid-movie part of Elsa’s character rather than post-movie Elsa, since my original thought for this blog was to have my default verse be pre-movie.  Original intent: I’m not sure what this means? My intent for the blog itself was to have fun and write for one of my fave characters, which is exactly what I’ve been doing. WANT TO PLAY:

I’m always tempted to play these characters, but gosh I have like.... four multimuse blogs already? And I’m intimidated by a bunch of these characters? So we’ll see. xD

Taking up another War & Peace character is something I’ve always kinda tossed about but never done, partly because I’m actually pretty satisfied with writing the characters I do write? And also partly because hoo boy, that’s still intimidating. If I were to, though, it would probably be Pierre Bezukhov. 

Or another one of Tolstoy’s ladies so I can give them the justice they deserve. Probably would be either Natasha Rostova or Sonya Rostova.

I’ve also toyed with the idea of taking up someone from the Anastasia world but never have. Olga, maybe. Maybe Anya.

Characters from The Lord of the Rings is another fandom that I think I’d love to do but daren’t touch with a ten-foot pole because holy shit, the amount of lore. I would probably give Éomer, Éowyn, or a Rohan oc a try.

Peeta Mellark, Finnick Odair, Annie Cresta, and/or a District 9 oc from The Hunger Games. I honestly haven’t looked into this much ‘cause I don’t know how messy the rp fandom is.

Princess Zelda from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. I really love that world and that story and I think there’s so much to dive into, especially with her. She’s my favorite iteration of Zelda and I just think she’s so complex and interesting, especially if given the chance to be.

I also have to give a shoutout to Kate Talgarth from Sorcery & Cecelia because I loved those books and she was my favorite character from them and every time I see that Rose @dcarhcarts​ would lowkey like to play Thomas Schofield I yearn.

HAVE PLAYED:

Some of these I honestly really miss.

Princess Jasmine, Aladdin. She was my first tumblr rp blog ever and I wasn’t good (I was fifteen, so y’know, makes sense) but I had a fun time and made some friends.

A bunch of Narnia muses with nrpmasterlist (shoutout), including Margaret (one of the Professor’s maids), Cholmondeley Major (did I spell that name right yikes), an oc, and then I think that’s it if you don’t count the ones I moved to the other multi (Peter Pevensie, Maladh, Caspian IX.) The reason these didn’t make the transfer is because I just honestly wasn’t feeling them anymore and they were pretty minor characters that didn’t get much interaction anyways.

Clark Kent, Superman (mostly DCEU). I miss writing this guy every damn day. His blog(s) are still up, and I always think about it. But the rpc kinda fizzled and died after the monstrosity that was the Justice League movie, and also it got to the point where writing him was getting really stressful for me.

Abigail Adams -- for like a month. Don’t judge me. I was 16 and obsessed with 1776 the musical.

Honestly there’s a pretty good reason why I’m not playing most of the characters I used to play, but:

I keep thinking about rebooting Clark. I really loved it and him, but I think also most of the people I really loved writing him with aren’t around anymore? Also, it was stressful.

Hey! I love your blog! Could I possible get some headcannons on how Deidara would approach a crush who was playing way too hard to get?

Oh my gosh thank you! Hope you like these :))

-I hc Deidara as someone who falls for someone really quickly and the boy falls hard. It comes across almost obsessive how intense he is when he likes someone.

-Now if he had a crush, it would be the same deal so playing hard to get is not going to be something a deters him right away. If anything he will see it as a challenge, be more likely to show off probably with explosions as it is his art after all (art is a bang ;)).

-It all depends on how they play hard to get. If they insulted his art or something he held close to him it may throw him off a little, but if it’s just general hard to get tactics then it won’t discourage him but spur him on.

-If they are avoiding him as part of their tactics, he will make a point of running into them or just happen to be where they are in their daily routine, attempting to flirt through his own way (he loves a bit of banter and someone who won’t always take his shit and talk back). He will casually ask them to get food with him, go for a walk, coming up with something more elaborate and appealing each time he gets rejected.

-Even when he is rejected (he knows it’s just a game) there is still a big smirk on his face and a twinkle in his eye. It’s almost maddening for his crush to see him so confident, it may make them want to give in sooner than they planned.

-He will always be trying to impress them, sometimes through telling stories about himself that make him look strong and intelligent or just generally show off, always ready to discuss art at length. He’d also try and give them thoughtful gifts, like little clay figurines or set of some explosions in the distance and declare it’s for them.

-Ohhhh he would also whip out that clay bird and offer to take them for a ride, because ya’know that is impressive. (cue Aladdin I can show you the world lol)

-If they say something witty or take part in some banter, whether it’s with him or not, he will definitely fall harder and it will encourage him to continue to pursue them.

-If they drop the playing hard to get act after awhile and he succeeds in getting them to go out with him, it will boost his ego and mood. He will also make sure the date is exciting to draw them in after dismissing him for so long.

-If they didn’t drop the hard to get act after a long period of time he will get fed up and will most likely give up, he is pretty temperamental so if they continue to annoy him then he won’t bother anymore.

-That being said if they realise this has happened, notices his presence missing and decides to pursue him themselves quickly, then he will most likely still be attracted to them and agree to go out. This will also boost his ego tbh and put him in a fantastic mood for a few days.

-If they didn’t pursue him then he would mope about for a few days but otherwise get over it pretty quickly, deciding he was better than them and won’t bother wasting his time anymore.

-All this in mind, if they attempted to play hard to get while they were already in a relationship he would probably just get annoyed and ignore it. This is because he feels like he has already won them over and doesn’t see the reason they would be acting so distant just to get his attention. He prefers them to beg for his attention, and see that they want him.
