Not long ago, i think that everyone might have heard the news about white police arrested black men till death. His name was George Floyd. He was murdered by the state police under the charge of using fake money in the grocery.

 They knelt on his neck for almost eight minutes while Floyd was handcuffed and lying face down, begging for his life and repeatedly saying "I can't breathe". People around him try to tell the police to bring him in the car but the police resisted. From this situation we can see that men don’t respect each other as human being. We can see that white police treated black people in a horrible way. If Floyd can speak for himself, he would say that

i can’t breathe, you’re taking my life from me. I can’t breathe. Will anyone fight for me?

For sure, if i were there,i won’t let them do that even if i have to sacrifice my life. How can we standing there and do nothing?! Watching people treated inhumane. Where is the humanity in those policemen. If there weren’t a protesting,will Floyd get justice?!

I’ve listened to H.E.R song and i started to tear up when i heard the rap part. What she sing is really break my heart. She said “Equality is walking without intuition. Saying the protector and the killer is wearing the same uniform. We breathe the same and we bleed the same. But still, we don't see the same. We seek for justice. Do not say you do not see color. When you see us, see us. We can't breathe 

I decided to sing a little part of the song for you. 

Every time, i hear this song. My eyes start to fill with tears. I don’t know why but i do know that i hate everything that is unequal.

Rioting and Looting Across the United States

I wanted to wait until after I made my thoughts clear about the George Floyd situation to write this. That article came out yesterday and if you have not read it yet, please do before continuing. 

The first thing I want to say is that I do not condone rioting and looting in any capacity, especially not under the guise of social justice or meaningful change because that course of action will achieve neither. 

I believe that the peaceful protests across the country have been hijacked by the worst among our society, and they are taking advantage of a terrible situation to participate in an adrenaline fueled rage filled nationwide riot. It is a disgrace to George Floyd, his family and his memory. This reprehensible behavior is not how rational adults act during a time of crisis. I want to be clear in the fact that I do support the peaceful protests across the country, but I can not stand by and remain silent while more people are suffering unduly because of these riots. 

To try and defend these riots as a just reaction to a mans murder is to live in denial. If you believe that rioting and looting is any way to react to a situation like this I urge you to reconsider. The riots have been justified by many and in many different ways, I have heard that these are giant corporations with insurance and its not a big deal. I would argue that point, I would urge you to think about the people who live in that community and work at those businesses, they are now out of work. The short sighted rage of these rioters has caused more pain to more people than they are aware of. The thing is, it isn’t just large corporations that are being “punished” it is small community businesses, people who have worked their whole lives to become successful or just to get by. I would also argue that the full effect of these riots will not be felt for many weeks, we do not know if these businesses will reopen, we do not know how badly supply chains have been disrupted. We shall all find out how much more suffering will result from these actions.

If you still are not convinced that rioting and looting is not how you get things done, allow me to make another point. According to FBI statistics there are approximately 100 million gun owners in America. If this violence and civil unrest continues to spread further into residential communities there will be more death than any of us realize. Americans across the country will not stand by and watch their homes or lives be destroyed by a mob of criminals. I warn everyone that this could easily get more out of hand than it already is. I do not want that to happen. I want change within our government and our police departments, I also want to live in a peaceful unified America. Maybe those are pipe dreams, but I felt I had to put my opinion out there.

Former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin was sentenced Friday to 22 years and six months in prison for murdering George Floyd, a videotaped killing that triggered the most profound racial upheaval in the U.S. since the civil rights era. The punishment ended one chapter of a reckoning that spread from questions of official force to a broad reappraisal of discrimination inherent in American institutions. More than a year after the killing, matters of race have taken center stage as the nation emerges from protests and the pandemic. A jury in April convicted Chauvin in the death of Floyd, a 46-year-old Black man and father. On May 25, 2020, Chauvin knelt on Floyd’s neck for 9 minutes and 29 seconds after detaining him on suspicion of passing a counterfeit bill. Floyd begged for mercy as his air supply dwindled. Images of the incident, which followed years of high-profile police killings of Black men and women, spread swiftly across the internet and television screens. Ultimately, they led to the rare conviction of a police officer for excessive force. Under Minnesota law, Chauvin, 45, faced up to four decades in prison. The prosecution team had requested Chauvin receive 30 years behind bars in a June 2 memo, saying that his actions “shocked the nation’s conscience” and that such a sentence would account for the “profound impact” on Floyd’s family and community. Judge Peter Cahill issued a 26-page sentencing order in which he explained the punishment. He said it was it written in dry legalisms, because it was based on “not sympathy or emotion.
