since it’s that time of the year i just wanted to appreciate every one of you who gives there time to press the like button or even the follow,

i’ve been thinking about this for a while and i find it insane how a few months ago i was just repeating the same miserable day but then i stumble across a video of gorge and dream i liked the content so i gave it a liked, but then they kept on popping up and up so i finally searched them up and since then i can finally get into something again. thanks to them im actually motived to draw and get up from bed to do the things i love.

So I’ve been watching older clip compilations of Erets pov during the start of the dream smp/l’manburg war and I love learning about Erets character. Because these clips show how much they have changed as a person. Like in these clips, Eret is the villain. He is a downright villain. They are re-iterating Dreams driving message of "no mercy" all while laughing in the faces of the people who were their family. Eret laughs at the crater and ruins of l'manburg, declares that "victory is sweet" and gorges on golden apples all while the remaining soldiers cower away in Tommy's bunker. When asked if she regrets it, she responds with "hell no" and even builds herself a makeshift throne while she listens to her former president and second in command cry out in surrender.

"I did everything and it wasn't enough, we weren't going to win so I left."

Eret doesn't act like someone who just lost hope, if Eret truly only switched sides because they thought l'manburg never stood a chance, why make a deal with dream. Why laugh in l’manburg faces, why boast about their victory and sit on a golden throne?

Sure lost hope was apart of all of this, but it wasn't the driving force

I also want to know why Dream promised him friendship, and why Eret makes a point to include it regularly in the terms of their deal.

Eret was surrounded by people who admired him in l'manburg. Tommy was the driving force of a lot of opinions in l'manburg because he liked to shout loud and clear about his opinions for everyone to listen. Tommy has always worn his emotions on his sleeve, ( We also see this later as he shouts directly at Eret about trust and how land and power wont get him anything. Even fundy goes on to say "he's mad, but not as mad as tommy." It's no wonder Eret seaked Tommy's approval most, because Tommy was the one who constantly told Eret how much it hurt.) - and Tommy had such positive opinions of Eret, he admired them so much, possibly on par with Wilbur. And they had a deep connection with Fundy too, which proved itself to be just a strong as they were the first to reconcile after the betrayal. Tubbo and Eret were often seen as brothers, and while Wilbur and Eret never explicitly spent much one on one time together, Wilbur did speak fondly of him. So why did dream offer Eret friendship if they already had so much of it? Could this have been the first signs of dreams manipulation? Who knows what c!Dream told c!Eret in that meeting that started it all. Even on the first days of Eret joining the server and l'manburg being founded, Dream seemed eager to get Eret on his side with public in game messages.

But it's not all down to Dream in these scenarios.

Eret built the majority of the l'manburg walls, even on the very first day of being welcomed into l’manburg Eret was put to work. Clearing out a hill, placing blocks, grinding for gear. And sure Eret gets thanks from Wilbur and compliments from Tommy, but past that first day nobody really gives Eret a second thought. Nobody looked at the l'manburg walls and remembered, "yeah Eret built those" They think "oh l'manburg built those '' but nobody views Eret as part of l'manburg so really, Eret was forgotten.

So there is an argument that Eret could have betrayed l'manburg because she wasn't being treated fairly/being recognized for her contributions. However, Wilbur and Tommy were so in awe of Eret, Tommy mostly, and put Eret on a massive pestle. So I do genuinely believe that Eret betrayed them for greed and power, as much as I want to pretend it was Dreams manipulation, while it may have played a part, Eret was also fully aware of what they were doing, and why they were doing it. Eret was power hungry and greedy and wanted status. Something she never would have gotten in l'manburg. And while she states it was “the merciful way out” for the remaining citizens, the statement itself is also a contradiction of those moments on the battlefield where Eret would chime in with the others shouting "no mercy".

I really just want to see that one moment of regret that starts it all, where Eret thinks of his actions and wishes he could take it all back. Because there is no remorse on this final day, on the day of independence Eret believes it to be a victory. I want to see the moment, the sentence, the second of Erets first regret. Like what changed for this downright power hungry, vengeful, mistreated villain want to make amends for every bad thing they've ever done? Eret turns from this loud, prideful king, to a meak, regretful pawn. And I just wanna know man, I want to be able to see the full story played out in front of me and see every single feeling of doubt that leads Eret to wanting redemption.

TLDR: Gimme the fukin Vods Eret. This is a threat.

gosh i almost feel bad for asking this but in 'careful son' what do you think would have happened if the eggpire won, through whatever means? have a lovely day!

okay so i had to sit on this for a couple of days and really think about it. and my conclusion is that you should feel bad, this ask is cruel and unusual /j /lh

but let’s get into it

so, first of all, on the most basic level, a lot of people would die, and the people who didn’t would join the egg. some i’m not sure about, but techno, eret, puffy, and tubbo would die. i think the fiances would die, and george would join the egg. sam, in ‘careful son,’ was vulnerable enough after losing a canon life and dream escaping that he’d join the egg. phil would also for sure join the egg, and that’s actually something i hinted at once. it was a super super minor detail so i’m not surprised nobody picked up on it, but from chapter eleven:

“Feels a bit scuffed,” Phil agrees, voice slightly distant. His eyes are fixed on the Egg, his fingers absently fiddling with his sword hilt.

phil was 100% hearing the egg in this moment

regarding the fiances, i think that sapnap specifically would refuse to join the egg after seeing what it did to bad, and quackity and karl (if he was there) would side with him. the egg would then have them killed. would this be enough for bad to break free? maybe, but then again, maybe not. he’s in deep at this point, and skeppy’s still in the egg, his lifeforce being fed from

tommy, dream would keep. put in the prison, maybe. not really sure i want to eleborate on this one. he’d also keep ranboo firmly under his thumb

and i think eventually, the corruption of the egg would be the destruction of the entire server. the void would claim it all, and the egg-- or rather, the entity that presented itself as an egg-- would gorge itself on the remains, and then find another server to creep into. leaving the remains of the dream smp to fade into static and glitching distortion, a hole in even the void itself. a graveyard with no graves

and dream, being at this point far more dreamon than person, would go with the egg. and i think he would take tommy with him, the sole survivor of his friends and family and the place he called home. again, not feeling super like i want to elaborate there

and then there’s wilbur

wilbur’s fate would really, really depend on the point of divergence. maybe it happens in that first confrontation in the egg room. maybe wilbur joins the egg then, thus dooming the server. or maybe it’s the second time, when dream breaks out, and maybe everyone gets overwhelmed. i don’t think i ever brought this up in canon, but after techno’s death, the egg only needed one more person’s blood to be spilt on it in order to hatch. if it hadn’t been so determined to get wilbur specifically, it could’ve won fairly easily. but maybe things go wrong in that second fight in the egg room, maybe everyone gets overwhelmed, maybe the eggpire wins that conflict and thus the war. in that scenario, wilbur dies

maybe wilbur can’t convince dreamxd to help. maybe the ambush on eret’s castle is more silent, more effective. again, wilbur probably dies

but the worst possibility of all is that wilbur gives in to the egg in that final confrontation. allows himself to be killed. because not only does the egg hatch, but wilbur never has that realization. never realizes that what he wants and what he thinks he deserves and what he actually deserves are all very different things. never realizes that he wants to live after all, and that he’s always been worthy of it

the worst possibility is that wilbur dies again, still not understanding that he’s loved. and then the rest of the server follows

it should go without saying that i never would have written that, of course. even considering the possibility is... ouch. just. ouch. but you wanted to know what would’ve happened if the eggpire won, so those are my basic thoughts

does dream even realise this isn’t normal like friendship jealousy is but this whole thing with george is...something else entirely it literally does feel like a fanfic because of (and i’ll say it again) his jealousy being directed solely towards george

and other people have mentioned the miscommunication like they just haven’t been talking lately the literal key component of a good slowburn fic!!

at first i thought they just weren’t talking about smp stuff outside of streams, it’s why i was like dream literally just talk to george about the king/roleplaying thing it was annoying me because the tension on those streams was palapable and uncomfortable for viewers but i didn’t consider for a second they weren’t seeing much of eachother at all

his moment on georges stream literally felt like a fanfiction outburst of feelings like he had enough of missing george recently and in his words not “having his attention 24/7” (this was not bait btw i got asks about this, these are dreams real feelings that he was talking about)

sapnap especially recently, has openly been pointing out dreams favouritism/how he’ll zero in on george and i just wanna say god sapnap can you do something about them like actually

i’m still thinking about all of them having fanfic brainrot and being hyper aware of dnf that i’m like...dream you don’t have to lie have you actually read heat waves because you’re literally losing sleep over “not having access” to your best friend for a few days
