Wow you're being generous with that review. After finishing my first playthrough, I can safely say Gorbino's Quest 2 has got to be the most blatant cash grab I have ever seen in my life. I can't believe none of the developers stopped to think what they were doing with their lives with how utterly soulless the 500 hour experience is. It not only rehashes all the same beats as the first game, but panders to the absolute worst, most low brow parts of it.

"Ohhh wow, we see Gorbino go back to The Gunk Dome, that's such an epic reference to the first game!!!" Shut the fuck up

I played the original game for, god, 3700 hours? I am a huge fan of the first game, one of the *biggest* fans if I were to call myself anything. I love pumping to Gorbino. You have no idea. So you have to understand I am not coming at this from a "hater" perspective, but one of love. I love Gorbino, and that game, god that game brought me so much joy, more than any relationship ever had. Which makes this sequel all the more tragic.

It's not all bad. There are some improvements in performance, and there's definitely some good ideas strewn about like the dynamic neurospiking mechanic, but it's all brought down by the utterly mindnumbing rehashed story, and the frankly incredibly buggy gameplay. Not to mention the pay to play model.

But even that could be excused.

What the developers did to Gorbino himself, that I cannot forgive.

Finally decided to finish Gorbino's Quest 2, I'm not entirely convinced on the plot but I think that it covers most of the questions that 1 left. 500 hours of my life not wasted but not enjoyed fully. Can't wait for 3.

That's cool that the new expansion for The Sims 4 is...residential rentals. "For Rent Expansion Pack". Who wanted this? Landlords? I can barely even think of anything else that I'd want to add to a game less. Maybe taxes? The Sims™️ 4 Tax Accountant, or The Sims™️ 4 Charity Finances. The Sims™️ 4 Parent/Teacher Conference Expansion with the Single Parent Stuff Pack (the furniture catalogue is smaller and you have half as much money to start with)
