Oooh!! I love the troupe of Astarion finding his family. Can you write a cute, fluffy fic of him and Tav finding his parents and them not giving a shit that he’s a vampire and is just happy he’s… well not alive but alive??
This is such an old ask (I'm so sorry) but I keep coming back to it and the only thing I can come up with is Astarion's mother showing up at the Crimson Palace one day asking for an audience with AA because she heard his name from a traveling bard and that he's a big shot lord in Baldur's Gate.
So she comes to meet with him and is like oh my son, my beautiful son! And Astarion just stares at her in bewilderment. Basically going "lady who tf are you?" Tav is sitting with their daughter across the ballroom as she plays piano just listening to all of this unfold.
Finally his mother asks him to hold out his arm and they compare wrists, noting that they both have the same birthmark in the same spot. Apparently everyone in his mother's family has the same mark. But it doesn't truly sink in that it's his mother until she speaks this to him in Elvish:
The sun rises in the east and sets in the west
Then follows the moonlight, bathing my breast
When you lay your head down and look up at the stars
Take solace, knowing I am never too far
And it just, unlocks all these memories of his past life as a child. As a young man. When he told his mother he wanted to leave their home, seeking more excitement. Better opportunity and knowledge.
Something like that. 🙃

Anyways, gooooorgeous, whatcha listenin' to tonight? If it's something romantic, can I sit with you over a plate of spaghetti and we both eat off the same plate like in Lady and the Tramp? *Bats their eyelashes*

First of all, no. Second of all, is this a fuckin Wade?

I don't like Cas a whole lot, but his scenes with Sam are usually so good and it's so frustrating lol. Their friendship is underrated in a sense because some focuses instead on the dead chemistry he has with others.

You Didn’t Forget, Did You? (Welcome Home Lee Eddie x Ler Frank)
HEY GUYS!! THIS IS FOR MY GOOOOORGEOUS WIFE @nnainai WE’RE CELEBRATING 11 MONTHS TOGETHER!! AAAAAA!! I’M SO HAPPY AND SO EXCITED FOR THIS MILESTONE <333 I LOVE YOU SO MUCH HONEY THIS ONE’S FOR YOU <3333
I hope you enjoy honey I love you I love you I love you every fictional couple is us <3
WARNINGS: Tickle fic! Sorry if character personalities aren’t entirely accurate, I’m not apart of the fandom!
Eddie seems to have forgotten an important date! Now, what is that date, again?
                                           ````````````````````````````````````````````````
 Colorful houses lined up the cozy neighborhood as the resident mailman, Eddie Dear, delivered mail and packages to every mailbox. With a cheerful smile, Eddie handed a parcel over to a fellow neighbor’s doorstep, and waved to the neighbor next door watering their plants.
 It was a picturesque day, even for Home. Bees droned and landed fatly on flowers; all the neighbors were out and playing with each other in the sunshine. Well, all except one neighbor.
 Eddie kept a tight grip on his packages as he came across the hopscotch chalk on the pavement. He couldn’t help himself; every time he saw hopscotch on the pavement, he had to participate.
 “Woo! Good job, Eddie! That’s your third day in a row!” A sunny neighbor called out to Eddie as he finished the hopscotch perfectly. Eddie looked back and flashed a bright smile.
 “Why thanks, Sally! Oh, here’s your package today.” Sally Starlet skipped up to Eddie to receive her parcel. It was wrapped in a golden sparkly wrapping paper and was about as tall as Sally herself.
 “Wow Eddie, you sure are strong! I’m sure Frank has you doing all the hard jobs for the house, huh?” Eddie’s cheeks blushed a bit at the mention of his husband, Frank. Frank Frankly, the smartest neighbor in Home, the most organized neighbor, who knew the most about butterflies and books and geography and-
 “Eddie? Did I lose you there?” Sally called out. Eddie snapped out of his thoughts and smiled at Sally blankly.
 “Oh! Sorry about that. Yes, uh, anytime there’s work to be done for the house, I’d go ahead and handle it. But it’s okay! I enjoy the challenge. Um, what’s in the package?” Eddie scratched the back of his head as he tried to change the subject. Sally held the package above her head with a sudden feral expression on her face.
 “New COSTUMES!! For the new play I’m writing! It’s gonna be STELLAR! I have so many ideas- Oh! I better right them down before I forget! Thanks for the package, Eddie!!” Sally waved goodbye to him as she ran into her house. Eddie smiled after her and continued onto the pavement. Eddie delivered one more piece of mail to a colorful mailbox before arriving at his shared home with Frank.
 The tickseed flowers were bright and bowing at the sides of his home, and the butterflies flitted about all over them to pollinate. Frank had a passion for butterflies, he loved to study and learn about them. Eddie helped Frank plant all types of flowers around their home to attract more and more butterflies for Frank. Frank had a wonderful smile that day, Eddie remembered.
 Eddie opened the door to his home, the inside warm and inviting as ever. Eddie removed his hat and postbag and hung them on the coat rack by the door.
 “Frank? Sweetheart? I’m home!~” Eddie’s voice rang warmly throughout the house. Hmm. No answer from Frank. Maybe he was in the garden?
 “Frank? Where did you disappear to...” Eddie walked into the kitchen and saw no trace of Frank, aside from dirty lunch dishes and cutlery in the sink. Frank was usually very good about doing the dishes when he needed to do them. Eddie silently wondered if everything was okay.
 Eddie wandered into the garden behind their home and spotted his husband. “Frank! I’m home!” Eddie called out. Frank looked up from his spot with a magnifying glass to his eye. Eddie beamed brightly at the sight of his lover doing what he loved. Frank returned his smile, radiant as ever despite being the grayest neighbor.
 “Eddie! Over here!” Frank waved him over to the small patch of grass he was squatting in, with butterflies all around him. Eddie walked over to him and took in the sight.
 Frank had set up a wonderful little picnic area in the patch of tall grass, with a flannel blanket spread over the grass and a picnic basket set up. Dishes and glasses were placed on the blanket, with one seat reserved. Eddie looked up to Frank with a wonderful smile as he took his seat.
 “Frank, what’s all this for? This looks delightful!” Eddie inspected the heart-shaped sandwiches and apples cut into hearts in the picnic basket. Frank looked at Eddie, then to the heart-shaped foods in front of them.
 “Well, it’s certainly not for an every day occurrence. Today is a day that only comes once a year! It’s an important date, isn’t it?” Frank asked. Eddie’s mouth was half-stuffed with a sandwich. Eddie slowly finished his bite while keeping eye contact with Frank.
 “Mmph- Ohm- Um, of course it’s an important date! April 28th is National Arbor Day, so we remember to conserve our trees on this day-” Frank shook his head as he sat fully on the blanket with Eddie.
 “No, no, no. Well I mean, yes, it is National Arbor Day, I taught you that, but today is special for a different reason?” Frank led on. Eddie racked his brain trying to think about what today might be. A butterfly flew past his field of vision.
 “Uh...National Butterfly Day? Ah yes, we remember to conserve our butterflies on this day-” Frank waved his hands in a ‘no’ motion to stop Eddie.
 “No again! It’s not a national holiday, it’s a personal holiday to us! To our relationship to each other?” Frank seemed to wilt. Eddie didn’t mean to forget such things, (you’d think as a mailman, he’d be better with dates) but that was just it, with so many dates involved in his line of work, they all become jumbled in his head. Eddie’s hands clenched behind him as he shrugged in defeat.
 “I’m sorry Monarch, I forget what today is. Please forgive me?” Eddie’s eyes shone in Frank’s to plead. Frank blushed and looked away from his adorable husband.
 “Oh, alright. I suppose I can forgive you this one time. But not without recompense!” Frank, with still blushing cheeks, scooched over to Eddie’s side of the picnic blanket and began scribbling his fingers over Eddie’s sides. Eddie Dear started laughing, both out of ticklishness and surprise.
 “Frahahahank?! Whahahat ahahare yohohou dohohoing?” Eddie giggled through his words and started leaning back on the picnic blanket to escape his husband’s tickly fingers.
 “Well, what was supposed to be a romantic gesture has now turned into a ticklish one. So, you only have yourself to blame.” Frank said matter-of-factly. Eddie didn’t know what he was supposed to remember. Personal holidays? It wasn’t anyone’s birthday today. Eddie would have to think about what he was supposed to remember while being horribly distracted with tickles. The tickles traveled onto his broad tummy.
 “I’m-I’m sohohohorry! I-hehehee! I dihihihidn’t mehehean to forgehehet!” Eddie’s deep laughter rang through their small garden, the butterflies keeping their distance from the loud neighbor. His cheeks and ears started to turn pink with blush. Frank’s fingers never stilled as they traveled from place to place on Eddie’s bigger frame.
 “Of course you didn’t mean to, but you would think this holiday would be important enough to not forget. Do you forget Christmas? Or Easter? Or Valentines Day?” Frank questioned, each holiday he listed accentuated with a poke to his ribs. Eddie started squirming and twitching on the picnic blanket with his husband’s pokes. With Eddie, it never occurs to him that he can leave a ticklish situation like this. He freezes and kind of accepts his fate until it’s over.
 “Ohohohof cohohohourse nohohohot! Thohohose ahahare my buhuhusiest hahahalidays!” Eddie laughed his words out while Frank scritched his fingers in Eddie’s ribs. Frank furrowed his eyebrows in pretend anger.
 “Why you little-!” Frank gasped, and started dotting his fingers over Eddie’s waistline and hips. Eddie’s feet kicked out of reaction as he started laughing out loudly. “How about you remember a holiday that’s not so steeped in commercial! What about something more intimate and personal!” Frank demanded.
 Eddie’s eyes narrowed out in laughter, his hand weakly batting Frank’s hands away. Frank maneuvered his hands around Eddie’s attempts for the tickles to stop and continued delivering a barrage of squeezes, pokes and prods to Eddie’s waistline.
 “Ihihihintimate?? Lihihike Thahahanksgiving?!” Eddie forced out before Frank grabbed hold of his hips and started squeezing his thumbs in the divets. Eddie squealed like a man and covered his blushing face.
 “Do you seriously think it’s Thanksgiving today and not something more personal to us?! Use your head, now!” Frank knew that Eddie was charmingly forgetful, but it was an important day for them. He wanted to see a little more effort to remember such a milestone as this. Eddie tried to use his head, as requested, but he was having a difficult time multi-tasking.
 “Hehehehee! I’m sohohorry! I dohohon’t knohohow!” Eddie’s hands still kept trying to remove Frank’s tickling hands, but Frank just made his tickles sporadic. He tickled Eddie’s hips, then jumped to his thighs, up to his ribs, and down to his sides. It made Eddie a squealing, twitching mess.
 “Welp, I suppose we’ll just stay like this until you remember. I wonder what aaall of our neighbors would think when they hear your raucous laughter? Going on for hours and hours? And I’d tell them it’s deserved if they ask, because a mailman can’t remember his own personal dates, so he must be thoroughly punished.~” Frank teased, while Eddie continued to laugh out in the garden. Eddie tried to control the volume of his voice, suddenly thinking of the neighbors, but he couldn’t help it. Frank was too skilled in making him laugh. Maybe cause he’s been doing it for a while...
“Now, what will happen to the mail in all that time will be an issue. I wonder if it’ll all pile up in the corner of the post office, or if you’ll be properly replaced. And if you are, then, excellent! You can commit to being tickled every single day for forgetting an important milestone.” Milestone...milestone... something about that teased Eddie’s mind. But Frank’s commentary was making Eddie feel more ticklish, even if that wasn’t Frank’s intention.
 “Nohohoho, nohohoho! Thahahat’s too muhuhuhuch! Gihihive mehehe a clue!” Eddie snickered and continued to fight his husband against the tickles, but the tickles zapped him of energy despite being so big and tough. Frank traveled up to Eddie’s armpits, which were met with lighthearted squeals from Eddie.
 “Mmm...no. I’d rather see you struggle, just like you struggled to work up the nerve to talk to me the first day we met. You were so nervous, I thought you were going to change colors.” Frank shook his head at the thought, while Eddie had a beautiful brain moment suddenly. He sat up quickly on the picnic blanket, all but nearly throwing his husband off of him.
 “The-hehe- the first day I met you! A personal holiday! Of course! It’s our anniversary!” Eddie beamed with his accomplishment for remembering. Frank gave him a small encouraging smile.
 “Yes, Dear...it’s our anniversary. I set this picnic up while you were working because I thought you’d appreciate a ‘hearty’ meal after your shift.” Frank seemed downcast at the thought that it took his husband this long to connect the dots and remember their anniversary. Eddie scratched the back of his neck out of embarrassment.
 “Oh Frank, I’m so sorry. I do appreciate the meal you’ve prepared and the thought you put into remembering our anniversary. Just because I’m forgetful, doesn’t mean I should forget what’s truly important to me.” Eddie cupped Frank’s cheek and gave him a kiss on the forehead. Frank blushed violently and hid his face.
 “Oh shut it, you big lug...” Eddie snickered at Frank’s embarrassment while he snuck in closer and gave Frank a side hug.
 “Well, with everything that just happened, I don’t think I’ll ever forget our anniversary again. And even if that didn’t happen at all, I won’t forget again anyway. You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me, Frank. And I’ll always remember to treasure you.” Frank groaned at the sweetness of Eddie’s thoughts.
 “I treasure you as well, sweetheart. I’m glad we can share important dates like this and celebrate.” Frank confessed while looking into Eddie’s eyes. Eddie’s face brightened at the thought.
 “Yes! Celebrate! Let’s eat your delicious sandwiches, and you can point out butterflies in the garden and tell me about them!” Stars shone in Frank’s eyes at the mention of butterflies.
 “R-Really? Well, okay! Well, that one is a Swallowtail butterfly. Swallowtail’s are from the family Papilionidae, and include over 550 species of butterfly. They inhabit every continent aside from Antartica, despite being tropical. What’s interesting about this is-” Eddie looked up to Frank with one arm around his waist and another hand picking up a second sandwich. Eddie smiled at Frank while he spoke, realizing that he had made a mistake in forgetting their anniversary, but Frank showed him so much love and understanding despite the fact.
 Eddie Dear never forgot such an important date again.
snippet !!!! :)) thank you to my lovely wonderful sash @fruityindividual for the tag MWAH xx
another snippet from my slow going rory-goes-to-harvard-season-5 au thing :)) this was a bit silly and v fun to write....featuring rory experiencing the going-back-to-uni scary feelings!!! i think i've posted a bunch of snippets from this atcually so far so i might link them all here just to stick them all together :)) OKAY here it is (i am NOT SCARED at all gosh....)
Union Station New Haven stood a stark red brick monolith with big fat windows for eyes and people running out through them like so many tears. Rory and Luke and Lorelai watched it from the street, silent, appraising. Between them: one suitcase, one backpack and a Black White & Read tote bag. Inside sat the whole of Rory’s life, compressed and college-ified. She clutched the tote until her knuckles turned white.
“Should we…go inside?” Lorelai said, still quiet against the roar of cars and people and trains and goodbyes and hellos.
Luke said nothing. Rory let herself have one small, shaky exhale before snatching up her mom’s hand and replying: “Yeah. Yeah, let’s go in, god.”
It was like entering the land of the suitcases. There were suitcases horizontal against the floor, snoozing with napping travellers across benches, and suitcases running alongside impatient young people like lap dogs and suitcases cradled in arms and suitcases standing alone and suitcases flying across the floor like angels broken free from heaven. Luke trailed Rory’s case along behind him. It made a little clinking sound and had patches sewn across the cover. She had pricked her fingers for it; she adored it.
“Coffee!” Lorelai yelled, too loud in a too-loud place. “God, coffee, abort mission, we have to stop, hey Luke, hey hey Luke. Did you even hear me? I said –”
Luke sighed. “Yes, I heard you.” They paused. It felt wrong, like climbing on the baggage carousel in the airport and catching a ride. People zoomed past them anyway. “Okay, okay. We still have a bit. Let’s stop this crazy woman before she gets us kicked out…”
The coffee shop, a tiny wall-hole that appeared in almost every waiting room, train station, airport and transitory space ever, sold only paper cups of papery coffee and the sickliest blueberry muffins you’d ever had. They bought two of each and perched themselves on one of the great wooden benches that seemed to span miles. It was like being in mass prayer. Rory tilted her head up and the roof stretched up into oblivion. She wondered how she’d feel going back to the city. She wondered if her head would explode.
