Hello sorry if I'm bothering you but I wanted to share one of my ideas with you. So what if the reader washed up in Fontaine specifically in Poisson and Navia went to investigate with Silver and Melus going with her and they found an unconscious person who was not only confused when they awoke but they were also completely exhausted, hungry and they had strange markings on some parts of their body and when Navia got them examined by a doctor it was discovered that they had an extremely large amount of dendro energy within their body despite not having a vision. (This was inspired by the first episode of Aphmau Diaries rebirth, here's the link if you don't know what I'm talking about: https://youtu.be/1Vzq1QZVtuk?si=kyIxOyJTSnTjNaMG) (if you don't want to write this that's completely understandable and I wish you a good morning/afternoon or goodnight)
Hello dear Anon. You're not a bother at all. So long as the ask isn't rude or crude I try to answer them all from my assortment of writing blogs. I love this idea as I adore Aphmau's series and watched them all before. Tho I only write for released characters so I'll keep this idea in mind and write something up for it shortly after Navia is released. :) I hope you have a wonderful day or night.

His Enchantment
|Hello everyone who sees this. This will be a modern au. Where you've been long time friend's with the twins from Fontaine. I love Lyney since he came out and been waiting for some free time to write something for him. I have another thing planned for him as well as some other Fontaine characters. The reader will be taller then Lyney as well as super perceptive. I'm also no longer burnt out on genshin. Anyways as always feel free to change the pronouns to fit your own. Please enjoy and have a lovely day or night everyone.
Scenario: You've known the twins for a long time. Long before they were adopted by their "Father" and gained a younger brother. After being friends for so long they part ways for a bit. After you finish college you both reunite in an unexpected way.
Lyney x A Male Reader
Warnings: minor story, character spoilers, minor angst with comfort, mentions of being followed, mentions of a creep and long.|
Lyney:
Lyney was preparing a new trick. It was taking some time to prefect so his dear sister offered to go and get them some lunch. His only hope was it wasnt going to be something super oily or fatty. He pulled out his lucky charm that he was given by his best friend. He looked at it fondly it helped him calm down when he stressed about a new trick. His friend was able to see through most of his tricks but the taller male always acted surprised.
He was in the first orphanage with Lyney and Lynette. The three were a trio until (Name) was adopted. They managed to keep contact all that time. Most people have a distrust towards Lyney but he knew (Name) would trust him without hesitation. It warmed his heart. It always helped that the taller male had a good relationship with his younger siblings as well.
Lyney frowned a bit thinking about how long it's been since they talked. "I hope you haven't forgotten about me while you're away." He muttered to himself with a sigh. Out of the corner of his eye he caught a glimpse of Freminet and quickly put on his happy face greeting his brother.
Meanwhile while Lynette was walking with her and Lyney's lunch she caught sight of someone following her. She was being careful but still felt unease in her stomach. She started figuring out a plan of action. As she was walking a taller male approached her. "Lynette! Long time no see." Was heard from the man. "Are you ok? You look a bit uneasy." The man leaned down and said quietly.
Lynette shook her head. She was surprised to see (Name) back. She didn't wish to worry him at all. (Name) observed her reaction which to most people would seem stoic or uninterested but he noticed the minor changes. He scanned the area and noticed someone hiding not that far from her. "Let me walk you home then" He said giving her a warm smile. He held out his hand as to offer to carry her items.
After he made his statement the person following his friend came out and over to them. He noticed his friend's tail tense and ears twitch. "Miss Lynette seems to be uncomfortable with you sir. You shouldn't be so familiar with her either. She maybe famous but you can't approach her so nonchalantly. Not to mention i was just ensuring she got to her home safely." The man stated. His high and might attitude ticked (Name) off a bit.
It also set off more unease in Lynette. (Name) made a face at the guy's comment. It seemed like more likely he wanted to know where Lynette lived than ensuring her safety. He knew Lyney would lose it if he ever met the creep. He knew Lynette could handle herself but didn't feel right leaving her alone. He guessed it was time to put his acting skills to the test.
(Name) rolled his eyes. He reacted quickly after accessing the situation. This person had his eyes on Lynette after one of the twin's shows. He wrapped an arm around her pulling her close. To ease her worries and making sure she was aware he wasn't going to let this creep near her. She tensed before relaxing into the touch. It felt almost as natural as having her brother's arm around her.
"You're very mistaken sir. Lynette and I are together romantically. We're high school sweethearts. I can back to town recently and was planning on surprising her and her brother." He quickly stated. He could tell his violet eyed friend was surprised for a moment before nodding in agreement. Hopefully this lie would get the guy to leave her alone.
This made the person's eyes widened. "Well how come I've never seen you in the audience of any of their shows? What a terrible boyfriend!" The dude shouted. (Name) held Lynette closer glaring at the dude. He didn't want to get into a fight but would if needed. "As I said I was away at college. Also who do you think their very first audience member was? So you no longer have to make sure she gets home safely after all I'm here and she actually knows me." He stated matter of factly.
The guy got upset huffed and left angrily. (Name) looked down and met with violet eyes. "Let's get you a small treat on me. That situation was stressful for me I can only imagine for you." He suggested giving her a smile. "Also I assume you don't want me telling your brother about this?" He got a nod as a response.
"Got it. Guess you don't want him being super overprotective. I'll walk you home. Also sorry about my excuse I used it was the quickest way to make that dude leave without getting into an argument or a fight for now." The tall male said. Lynette noticed he had grown since he left. He also seemed more mature.
It has been awhile and so she'd like to catch up with him later. "You still owe me a treat." She stated looking up at him as he released her. He gave laugh. "Well lead the way to what you want and I'll get you it. Nothing big and you have to be able to eat it on the way. I don't want Lyney yelling at me." His face turned a bit pink thinking of the other.
The two walked walked together in a comfortable silence. The male was relieved that Lynette didn't seem tense anymore. The two got her a small dessert. They then made their way to her house without any other issues.
"Do you think it'd be possible to see your twin or is he too busy for me?" He said with a smile. To Lynette it felt as if he never left to being with. His presence just felt normal to have around. She gave a nod. "Wait here for a second. I'll go get Lyney."
After a few minutes of waiting he heard someone shout in surprise. It was definitely Lyney's voice. There was then muffled banter heard between the twins. Then he noticed a small shy blond hiding behind a wall. "Hey Freminet. No need to be afraid. I won't make you come out and talk or anything." He greeted with a gentle smile
Freminet hid his face even more. "Hello (Name)." He quickly and quietly greeted before running off. Which made the taller male give a small shake of his head and a smile. He never knew why the blue eyed male always ran away. He was at least always willing to greet the taller male. He hoped one day him and Freminet would be able to talk comfortably with out the smaller male feeling too shy.
It seems nothing has changed at all. Though (Name) knew a lot had changed. He wasn't aware of much about their "Father" but while away he learned bits and pieces. Now the twins he grew up with will always hold secrets from him.
Soon Lyney came down. "Hey now's no time to be distracted. After all you have a great magician standing right in front of you!" Lyney stated with a pout. "After all I can't be captivated by those beautiful eyes of you're looking away distracted. He hands were placed on his hips.
The taller male turned his attention to his best friend. He held a fond smile on his face. His face became a bit red about the eyes comment. "Hey Lyney. You made a mistake with your signature phrase. You said a great magician instead of my favorite magician." He corrected.
Lyney felt his face go a bit red. "But of course. How could I make such a mistake. After all I've left a deep impression on you for so many years. I made sure you couldn't forget me even after choosing to leave me, poor Lynette and Freminet by ourselves." He stated holding a hand to his chest. He noticed a pink hue dusting the taller male's face.
The other looked away from him again. The action reminded him of his shy brother's actions. As if the taller male was embarrassed or something. Lyney found it the perfect opportunity to tease the other for a bit. It's been a few years. Not to mention somewhere along their relationship the young magician had fallen in love with the other.
"Oho what's this I see did you happened to have fallen for me and leaving made you realize it?" Lyney teased slightly. He noticed he got no response back and noticed his best friend become a dark red. He avoided Lyney's gaze more adamantly than before.
"It seemed Lynette was in energy saving mode when I ran into her. Do you have a show later?" (Name) asked ignoring Lyney's teasing. Trying to quickly changed the topic. His face was already on fire. What more could Lyney want? He was sure it didn't mean much after all this was just how Lyney was.
Lyney leaned forward startling the other a bit. He was standing close almost in the taller male's personal bubble. "We do. However I'll only give you a ticket if you answer my question." He said. His heart was racing but he couldn't help himself. The reactions he was given were too cute. He also found relief as if there's a bit of hope for the other to return his long time crush.
His dear sister would call him madly in love for the other but he always denied it. He thought it was just a small crush. If anything she was simply over reacting. He denied it more vigorously once Freminet started agreeing with her. There was no way he'd be madly in love.
Lyney noticed their now very obvious height differences. There was no way (Name) had grown so much. He ruined the shorter male's confession plans. He was supposed to be the one to grow taller than the other. They made a promise of it too. Lyney was supposed to grow taller than him and then (Name) promised to marry him when and if that ever happened.
Lyney gave a pout for a moment before returning his attention fully on the other. He was now fully aware he'd never grow taller. There goes that promise they made as kids. He patiently waited for a response yet got nothing. He wanted all of the other's attention but wasn't getting any of it.
He pouted slight and moved so the other couldn't avoid his eyes again. He moved into the other's personal space. "Did my dear (Name) come to hate me? So much you won't answer a simple question. Do my performances bore you so now? I know you've always been perceptive but to this point." He said looking down. He was overexaggerating a bit.
"No! Why would I be here if I hated you? Lyney don't joke about that! We promised to trust each other no matter what." Lyney was captivated by the taller male. He felt a flutter in his stomach. He noticed that he looked sad at the mention hating the smaller male. Lyney could see the truth in his eyes. He'll have to make tonight's show perfect.
"Fine fine I'll stop teasing. Show up early tonight and I'll have a seat ready for you. I'll see you then dont worry it's going to be perfect." Lyney grabbed the other's hand and placed a kiss on the back of it. "I'll see you later I still have much to prepare."
(Name) was given a wink before Lyney walked off back into the house. His face was on fire from the smaller males actions. Was he that obvious? He just got back. He covered his super flustered face. He did fall for Lyney and he did realize it while being away from the other. After all how could he not. He went from being around the blond all of the time.
He loved when they'd do homework together and he'd catch glimpses of lovely violet eyes. He had definitely become enchanted by the other. At the times he wished Lyney would rely on him rather than taking everything on himself. He gave a sigh as he reminisced. His blush had become darker. It was refusing to disappear.
His brain was still catching up with what just happened. He was sure it was just the other being his normal self. Which didn't help his racing heart. He uncovered his face. His blush darken as he looked at the had his best friend decided to kiss before leaving him there.
He quickly shook his head and was about to walk off but pulled out his phone. He didn't wish to forget to message the other. His wallpaper was a picture of Lyney with Lynette and Freminet on the day he left. He smiled at the picture. Then pulled up Lyney's contact.
'I have no idea where or the time you are performing tonight. Also it was good to see you. :)'
He smiled down as he saw the sign that Lyney was typing out a response. He was about to head off but saw Lynette come back out. "So you've fallen in love with Lyney." She stated as though she had been watching the entire thing.
"That obvious? Hopefully he didn't notice. I don't think my acting skills can save me if he did." The taller male asked rubbing the back of his neck. His face still covered in a dark blush. He hid his face with a hand looking away. Lynette gave him a blank look.
"Why don't you bring him a bouquet tonight and just confess?" Lynette stated. She was tired of her brother's pinning. She also thought the two would never confess if left on their own. At least not direct enough for the taller male to get a hint. He tends to be oblivious when it came to Lyney.
(Name) thought about it for a second. It would be a nice surprise to receive a bouquet but he was unsure about confessing. "I'll bring a bouquet for both of you tonight. See you later Lynette. Try not to waste anymore energy." He said with a wave and a smile.
The tall male walked away. He made his way to a flower shop. He got two small bouquets. He made sure to get Lyney some rainbow roses. He hoped the other still didn't know what certain flowers symbolize.
Lyney had gone to his room and fell onto the bed. His gloved fingers going to his lips. Why couldn't the other see how clear his feelings were. He sat up and quickly arranged to get his best friend his front roll ticket. He got a burst of new energy. He was determined to perfect the new trick with in the hour.
Time seemed to drag on for Lyney. He perfected his trick and still had a lot of energy. Perhaps it was nerves Lyney couldn't tell. What he did know his how much he wished to see (Name). He had to distract himself or he'll over think and things may become a disaster.
Eventually time passed but not soon enough for Lyney. Though (Name) arrived just like he told the other. His eyes enchanted the shorter male. Lynette looked at her brother. His staring was pretty obvious he was completely in love. "Looks like you arrived right on Time. Any later and we would have had to let Freminet give you the ticket and take you." He teased a bit.
(Name) held out the flowers. "I was going to give you both these after the show but I didn't want them to get crushed." He said quietly. He seem to have been avoiding Lyney's gaze again. His mind was still hung up on how the shorter male kissed his hand. The twins grabbed their bouquets.
Lyney intentionally made his hand graze the other to see his reaction. He saw the other jump and another blush appearing. Then he noticed the flowers. He knew the other loved flower languages. He recently learned himself because of the Reporter from the Steambird always pestering him.
The show went super quick. Now the grand finale was about to begin. Lyney was up on the opera's roof to perform it. Perhaps this trick would actually surprise (Name). He got into the box his anticipation rising. He did the quick switch with the dummy.
(Name) was in the audience watching nervously. When he saw Lyney falling his eyes widened in fear as if the trick had gone wrong. By instinct he called out Lyney's name in panic. Then his friend disappeared into a burst of flowers. He stared in awe at the flowers while his heart pounded in anxiety. He placed a hand on his chest realizing it was a dummy that switched places with his best friend.
He placed a hand on his chest. He ignored all the eyes staring at him for calling out. As if they weren't all worried too and gasped when the dummy had fallen. With the show being over he pulled out his phone to contact Lyney. He saw a message of where to meet the other. He made his way over to the area.
He felt his body relax fully when he saw those beautiful violet eyes. His body reacted on it's own. He rushed over and wrapped his arms around Lyney's shoulders. He held them tightly. "I don't like that trick at all. My heart stopped when I thought you fell. I'm so glad you're safe. The flowers were beautiful but my mind was too panicked at the thought of you falling." He muttered in Lyney's ear.
Lyney looked surprised. He hugged his best friend back. "I get it I won't perform it at shows you attend again. How about you allow me to take you out to make up for it?" He said ears had become red. "Just let me hold you for a bit and that will make up for it." Was his response. Lyney felt the hold tighten slightly. That trick must've really scared him a lot.
Lynette soon appeared and saw the two. "I told you he wouldn't like the trick Lyney. He shouted your name when the dummy fell out of the box." She stated. Lyney looked surprised. He really scared the other. He pulled away from the hug to see the other's face. He noticed some tears and went to wipe them.
"You twins are going to give me heart attack today." He saw looking away from both of them wiping his eyes. "What did Lynette do?" The violet eyed male asked. He noticed the taller male stiffen. He noticed his sister give a reaction too.
"Hey Lyney that trick made me realize something. Though you never grew taller than me I want to try a relationship with you if you'd give me the chance?" (Name) said. He grabbed Lyney's face so he was the shorter male's sole focus. He was trying change the topic quickly.
Lyney looked at him love struck until his brain realized the diversion. "Hey Hey we will come back to this topic later. What happened with Lynette earlier?!" He demanded to know. He was given a kiss on the cheek before the taller male grabbed his sister and quickly started running off. "Nothing bye Lyney. I owe her a dessert. Love you." He called off as he picked up Lynette so he wasn't dragging her along.
Lyney huffed running after the two. "You both better tell me now! Doesn't matter how much I love you both I won't give up on this. You both need to tell me keeping secrets isn't cool!" He called out quickly chasing them. They were working together against him with Lynette directing (Name) and his best friend/ now boyfriend was running away with his long legs.

His Magic PT2
|Hello everyone. This will be part two of my witch and familar au. The descriptions will be the same. This will be an au that involves witches and familiars. Modern technology does exist but is ran by magic instead of electricity. If you want more from this au feel free to send in an ask for hcs with certain characters or for me to write for a character in this au, or just more information in general. As I always say feel free to change the pronouns to match your own. I hope you enjoy and have a lovely day or or night.
His magic pt1
Scenario: In a world of magic there are witches beings with the ability to possess magic. Witches tend to have a familiar a life long companion who is there to help and protect them. Familiars have two forms a human form and an animal form. They have a soulmate connection with the witch they are supposed to be with. When a familiar pact is formed with a witch the familiar, if the witch is their destined one the familiar will be able to feel the witches heart beat.
Alhaitham x A Gender Neutral reader.
Warnings: It's long, minor characters story spoilers, and minor archon story quest spoilers.|
Alhaitham:
Alhaitham was a witch that tended to do the bare minimum for most things. He was a scribe for the Akademiya constantly logging important spells, potions and reports for mages as well as doing things for the academic side. When he wasn't doing his work as the scribe he be reading or doing nothing but relaxing. That was if his roommate wasn't causing a lot of ruckus.
He had avoided making a pact with a familiar. He didn't find it necessary at this point in time. His magic was perfectly contained within his own body for the time being. Kaveh would claim otherwise but the scribe felt he was just projecting onto him.
Alhaitham is aware he will eventually have to get a familiar but he wanted to prolong it as long as he could. He was walking through the streets of Sumeru and saw a familiar head of blond hair. He was about to walk the opposite direction but he saw someone with the blond. He walked over to make sure he wasn't getting scammed.
"Kaveh you need to look for a familiar. Why are you so hesitant?" The person asked. Alhaitham raised a brow slightly when he heard the person talking with his roommate. He stayed slightly away to listen his interest was piqued slightly. The blond shook his head. He looked at the two they seemed familiar enough with one another. Which lead the scribe to become less worried. He pulled out his key to start heading home but he noticed a key with a lion Keychain haning off it.
He sighed. He might as well return it to Kaveh while he was there. "It's not that simple (Name). Familiars have soulmates and I don't wish to burden someone else like that. Plus I'm unsure of the magic transfer will go smoothly a lot can go wrong during the pact." Kaveh started going on and on about it. Alhaitham walked over and held out the key.
"Why not make one with me then? We are cousins and I'm not pressed on finding my soulmate. I also think you're overthinking the familiar pact. It's very rare for things to go wrong. Even with your long standing bad luck Kaveh." (Name) said before looking at Alhaitham surprised.
"It seems your key got hooked with mine again because you didn't take it with you when you left." He stated matter of factly. He noticed the person with (eye color) eyes looking at him with a raised brow. He now knew they were Kaveh's cousin and apparently a familiar. They seemed interested in him for some reason which he didn't seem to care much for.
"So you're the infamous Alhaitham I hear my dear Kaveh mention all the time. Putting a face to a name makes me realize we have corssed paths before but never spoken. Its a pleasure to meet you I'm (Name)." They said in a bit of a teasing tone. They watched as their cousin snatched his key and gave them a glare for calling him dear.
"Do not get involved with him. It's more trouble than it's worth. Just because you were both in the same Darshan in the akademiya means nothing. Also what have I told you about calling me that it's embarrassing (Name)." Kaveh said in an embarrassed manner. His cheeks had become slightly pink. He pressed a hand to his face still holding his key.
"I had no clue I was infamous but whatever is going on I'd prefer not to be involved. I don't ever recall meeting you either." Alhaitham responded by crossing his arms. He did have to admit Kaveh's cousin was attractive. He was also interested to find out they had also studied in Haravatat. They simply gave him a smile.
"We were in one class together but you never showed up other than to take any exams. Though I'd like to ask your opinion on something. As my dear cousin is being stubborn." They said patting his shoulder. They definitely seemed more mild mannered than Kaveh he supposed it wouldn't hurt to hear them out at least. Though it doesn't really benefit him very much.
"What is in it for me if I agree to hear you out? This will be taking up more of my free time than it already has dropping off his key." Alhaitham asked. The other crossed their arms and gave another smile. "How about naming your price? I'll comply so long as it's within reason and a fair exchange." They said before a putting a hand over his roommate's mouth so he can't interject.
Muffled yells were heard from the blond. Kaveh seem to given up on fighting to get out. Alhaitham summarized they had fought before and know which one is stronger. He decided to think on their response. "How about getting me a new book that came out recently by an author I enjoy? Their pen name is snow" He answered.
Alhaitham watched as kaveh's eyes went wide and he started shaking his head as to object. "That's quite easy. I know them if you also want a signed copy." They said. He looked surprised for a moment but then nodding to the agreement. "So Kaveh's magic had been getting too much for him to stand as I'm sure you're aware. I offered to make a temporary familiar pact with him but he's refusing. I care a lot about my Dear Kaveh but he's too focused on things going poorly." They explained.
Alhaitham started thinking about everything. It would mean they'd temporarily move in with them or Kaveh moves with them for a bit. "How will the living arrangements end up in this situation? Also I can make a temporary pact with you to show Kaveh there isn't much to worry about in terms of the pact. Although I must admit it would be best for his personal well being to make the pact with your cousin until you find another familiar." He gave his thoughts.
(Name) finally released Kaveh and stepped away. "If we did agree to this which I do not they'd probably be moving in with us temporarily. They don't have a set place of residence because (Name) is always traveling around. Also I absolutely do not agree on them dealing with a pact with you Alhaitham. Especially considering the fact you can't just break it off immediately. The pact would last for a week to prevent you from harming them. Not that I'd expect you to be aware of these things because you've never needed one before." He quickly exclaimed before crossing his arms.
(Name) gave a sigh. "You're so stubborn Kaveh. Your friend Tighnari was the one who contacted me because he was worried about your health." They said leaning on their cousin. Alhaitham watched the two. "Well I was aware of the fact it can't be broken immediately but I also think it would be beneficial for you. You've been looking a little rough around the edges Kaveh. So they will be staying with us for a bit meaning they'll need to pay rent as well." Alhaitham responded as though his answers were simple.
Kaveh looked at them both with wide eyes. He couldnt argue with the logic they both presented. It was frustrating for him but he had to relent. "I'll be happy to help pay rent." They said pulling out the new book they wrote. It was already signed as they were planning on giving it to someone else. "I'll transform to my familar form for the pact." They handed Alhaitham the book before transforming into a snow leopard.
Alhaitham was surprised they already had the book on them. He started to wonder if they were snow. He was surprised at their form due to the climate of Sumeru. "We should probably do this at home rather than the middle of the city streets." He stated.
Kaveh nodded in agreement. "You head home first and will be there in a bit. I still dont want people knowing we live together." He said finally resigning. He'd have no chance of winning an argument against the two.
Later in the evening when they all arrived at the shared living space Alhaitham casted the familiar pact spell. He watch kaveh let out a sigh of relief when it was done. He was also surprised at how much lighter his body felt after casting it. He looked at (Name) and saw their eyes widened.
"Well that's unexpected." They muttered. Before Kaveh rushed over he smushed their fave a bit to check if anything happened. "Are you ok? What happened?!?!" He asked worried. Alhaitham also seemed a bit concerned as he was positive he cast the spell perfectly. "What's unexpected?" The silver haired man asked pulling Kaveh off of them.
"It's nothing don't worry about it. That was probably the most perfect casting of the spell I've ever seen is all." (Name) lied. Kaveh seemed to have caught onto the lie but didn't mention it. He frowned but knew it was pointless to press anymore.
They couldn't believe they found their soulmate unintentionally. (Name) didn't want to give their cousin a heart attack mentioning this fact so they'd keep it to themself for a while. It would also cause him to refuse to make a pact with him.
The week went by very quickly for the three. Alhaitham and (Name) had grown used to each other's presences. He had become more hesitant to willingly break the pact. The two complimented the other. Alhaitham enjoyed the moments they spent together. They would read in a comfortable silence. He also started wondering how he gone so long without a familiar. (Name) also seemed to be hiding something from him and he was super interested in finding out what.
He never expected to find our becuse of conversation with Kaveh in the living room. "So out with it what are you hiding? It's been clear something is up since you made that pact with Alhaitham. I helped raise you at a certain point (Name) I know you lied and I didn't want to press for a bit but now it's affecting you." He said with his hands on his hips.
They crossed their arms and looked away from him. "You're not going to like the answer." They stated listening to Alhaitham's always calm and soothing heart beat. Kaveh seemed to piece things together very quickly. "You can't be serious. I knew I should have never agreed to you making a pact with him." His eyes were wide. Alhaitham listened to the two confused.
His heart picked up pace a bit as he started thinking of the possibilities. The thought he might be the other's soulmate seemed like the nicest possibility though they hadn't known each other for that long. He enjoyed their presence. Unknown to him however they perked up and looked around when his heartbeat grew faster.
"You can't be his soulmate! You with him that's unacceptable" Kaveh stammered. They were still preoccupied with looking for Alhaitham because his heart was racing now. It made them worry a bit. He should be home. Which made (Name) start checking all the main areas. Which earned them a look from Kaveh. "Like it or not it's true. We can't really change things. Also he doesn't treat me poorly or anything so I can't complain." They said approaching the study.
Alhaitham couldn't believe what he had just heard. He was shocked to say the least. He'd known them for a week yet he was thinking this irrationally. His heart was racing and he closed his eyes trying to ignore what just occurred. He heard footsteps approaching the study.
When he opened his eyes he saw (Name) and Kaveh in front of him. Their head tilted slightly. "Are you alright Alhaitham?" They asked with a concerned look. Their whole focus was on him rather than their cousin who also seemed worried.
The scribe raised a brow. "I'm unsure why you're asking but I am perfectly fine." He said staring at the other. They didn't seem to believe him. Kaveh looked confused as well. "Did you hit your head or something (Name)? Alhaitham looks as he always does." Their cousin asked.
"I'm perfectly fine. You're both witches so you'll have no clue about how we know our soulmate." They said crossing their arms. It was clear they had no intention of explain it. They looked at the scribe again as his heart rate picked up. "You were listening to our conversation weren't you?" They said with a small laugh. They quickly pieced together his heart sped up at them mentioning being soulmates.
Alhaitham looked surprised for a moment. "So how did you know?" He asked watching his roommate look at them shocked. "Telling you would be revealing a secret. Plus I'm sure the great scribe is able to do his research and make the discovery. Anyways I have a suggestion regarding our situation." They answered with a bit of amusement in their eyes.
"Alhaitham doesn't really have much excess magic overflow. My familiar form is able to withstand a lot more. Depending on a how big a familiar is in their animal form is how much magic they can hold. For me I can probably make a temporary familiar pact with Kaveh and keep my pact with Alhaitham." (Name) explain with a smile. Their logic was sound which made it hard for the two to argue. The three would see how this arrangement would work.

A Special Meeting.
|Hello everyone. I know it's been awhile. My apologies about that. I was working on some irl stuff and didn't have time to write. I'm back. I had changed my rules slightly for requests. They are still closed. I'll make an update post soon. This one-shot is fairly indulgent for me. It is fairly long so be warned about that. Anyways please enjoy and as always feel free to change the pronouns to fit your own. Have a good day or night. :)
Albedo x Cryo! Male reader.
Warning: minor Spoilers for characters stories.
Albedo was sitting in the library reading some books. He was looking into something he had ran into at Dragonspine. He had a feeling it had to do with Festering Desire. He gave a small sigh. This small research task would become that much more tedious if the Calvary Captain decided to visit the library that day. He was looking through the shelves to find some history books. They should help him solve this strange occurance. He walked around the library reading the spines of books to see what he's looking for. As he was walking he heard Lisa talking with a voice he didn't recognize. "So cutie would you like to be Lisa's little helper today?" She said. Albedo pitied the poor person who was being roped into helping Lisa. He didn't mean to eavesdrop but he was curious about the other person Lisa was talking to. The person seemed overly polite.
(Y/N) gave Lisa a small smile. "So Miss Lisa is this why you asked me to come here today? I'm not going to have to make a run for over due books am I?" He asked. He shifted slightly on his feet. He didn't like just standing still. He watched Lisa's face closely to gauge if his initial thought was correct. She gave a small laugh and crossed her arms. "I don't need you to do that today Cutie. I do have some potion recipes I'd like to have you look at while you're here. You don't visit Mondstadt very often after all. Make me wonder if you even need your old teacher after all." She answer. "However if you want to make book runs I won't stop you. I am more than happy to keep you here longer. Maybe we can even reopen the lessons you missed while being gone?" (Y/N) got a bit worried as he saw his old master's smile turn into a bit of a smirk. He quickly shook his head putting his hands up. "I think helping you with the potions will be enough today. I'll make sure to send letter more often and visit more. No need to reopen the lessons. So do we need to go to your lab for the potions or would you like to go to the Alchemy table in the middle of toqn?" He quickly stated. He wanted to change the topics so Lisa wouldn't get any ideas.
Albedo listened to the conversation a bit long. Something about the person talking to Lisa seemed intriguing. His ears picked up the part about potions. He was interested in the potions and decided to walk towards the voices. "Pardon my intrusion. I happened to over hear your conversation. Is it possible for me to join in on the potion creation?" He asked approaching the two. His eyes met will the person talking with Lisa. He looked at them for a second their features seemed enticing. He received a look from the unknown male. The look was a bit hard to decipher. "Oh Albedo! I didn't know you were here. You're welcome to join us. This cutie has been all over Teyvat and is quite the genius." Lisa greeted with a smile. Her voice definitely surprised. He observed the other male turning slightly red. "I'm not that smart Miss Lisa. It's a pleasure to meet you I'm (Y/N) (L/N)." The other male held out a hand to him. "No it's mine. My name is Albedo." He said taking the other's hand. "Shall we to the potions?"
(Y/N) looked at the light haired person. Albedo was definitely attractive. He was definitely interested in the other. He glanced at the blue eyes shyly. He hoped he wouldn't be caught staring as the three were walking. He wondered if Albedo was apart of the knights. He wasn't too fond of most knighted. Maybe Albedo would be one of the ones he liked. They made it to Lisa's lab. (Y/N) watched her pull out the recipe for the potion and hand it to him. "This was left in one of the returned books recently. I've been having issues trying to figure out what it is. Some of the ingredients aren't things I've recognized. Read it through and let me know what you think." She said. He started reading through it. He felt his cheeks heat up as he noticed Albedo was close to him reading over his shoulder. As he read through the ingredients of the potion he noticed something strange. On the worn out piece of paper there was a faded instruction. It was barely legible. "Miss Lisa there's a need for a cryo vision energy for this recipe. I find that a bit strange. There is an ingredient from every nation. I'm pretty sure that I have enough of all of the ingredients to make one potion. Another thing I noticed is the instruction at the end is rather off for some of the ingredients. It's quite faded and was hard to decipher at first between Cryo and Pyro. Though I am certain it says Cryo. It's odd to use cold rather then heat to combine everything." He explained. He barely noticed Albedo step a bit closer to him to get a better look. His face became a bit more red. He was praying to the archons that his old teacher wouldn't notice.
Albedo leaned closer to see what (Y/N) saw. It was a rather unique. He was impressed with how quickly the other had read the recipe. He finished reading finally and stepped back slightly. "That is fascinating. There is no name or description of what the potion does. Perhaps one of us can drink it to find out the effects. It could make for a new discovery." He explained. He did wish to see this through until the end. "Well Cutie it seems you are the perfect little helper for this task." Lisa said wrapping her arms around the other. Albedo watched his (e/c) eyes widened. They were a lovely color. "May I just observe while you make the potion." He said. The other two in the group nodded. (Y/N) started working skillfully making the potion. Albedo was watching him. He brought his sketchbook out and started drawing the sight. After a few minutes it was done. He smiled as he looked at the sketch of the other male. He watched as the potion was also completed It glowed a nice light blue color. He stepped closer. He set his sketch book down to look at the potion. He noticed little snowflakes it as well. Were they from (Y/N)'s cryo energy? He looked up at the other two. Lisa and (Y/N) seemed to be looking at something. He followed their line of sight and saw them looking at his sketch. He saw the other male blushing like crazy. "Oh my apologies for drawing you without permission. I did it without thinking." He said with a very faint blush on his cheeks.
(Y/N) could detect a hint of embarrassment. "Oh no it's fine the entire drawing is very beautiful. I'm very impressed." He quickly said to relieve him of the embarrassment. "Who should test the potion?" He was a bit shy. "I think you should darling. You did most of the work after all." Lisa said with a smile. He was a bit nervous to try it. Though it shouldn't be that bad plus his curiousity over took his worry. He gave the old arch mage a nod and grabbed it. He uncorked it and starting putting it to his lips. The moment the rim touched his lips his wrist was grabbed by someone stopping him from drinking it. He looked up in surprise his (e/c) irises meeting the beautiful blue eyes. "Wait I just wish to clarify something before I allow you to ingest that. All of the ingredients are safe to ingest correct?" He said in a worried tone. (Y/N) would be lying if he said his heart didn't skip a beat at the tone of Albedo's voice. He gave a smile to the other. "I don't carry any herbs or anything that are lethal to others. They tend to interact poorly with some of the herbs I always carry for medicinal use. Thank you for your worry though." He said giving Albedo a soft smile. The two shared a look. "I'd still feel more comfortable if I was the one to ingest it." He said. (Y/N) started thinking for a second. "How about a both drink half and then Lisa can monitor us if anything goes wrong?" He suggested.
Albedo let out a sigh. "You certainly are a stubborn person." He hid his small smile. "Well let me drink it first." He said holding out a hand. He saw the (e/c) male place the bottle in his own hand. He didn't know why he reacted the way he did. It was truly strange. He found a strange infatuation with this person. Perhaps it was the other's thought process. He was snapped out of his thoughts by the man he was thinking about. "Hmm I wonder if since it uses a cryo vision to combine things if it may affect vision holders differently." He said. Lisa watched eagerly. "If it does then this potion could potentially be dangerous." She said with a hand to her chin. Albedo gave Lisa a nod before drinking half of the potion. It was very sweet which made him slightly happy. He didn't feel any immediate effects. "The taste is sweet. However I haven't felt anything immediate happen." He said to the others. The former Arch Mage and the other male seemed interested. He watched the other male down the rest of the potion. "Yuck that's super bitter......" his sentence was cut off when he started staring at Albedo. The Alchemist definitely wary of the stare. "Is there something on my face?" He inquired. The other quickly shook his head. "No it's just that the potion seems to be affecting me faster than it might be affecting you or something. Is it because I had made ......" the other's voice seemed to trail off. He noticed swaying. Lisa must've too since she quickly put her hands on (Y/N)'s arms to stabilize him. Albedo quickly rushed over and checked for anything dire. Soon there was a puff of light blue smoke around the three. When the smoke had cleared a teen stood where (Y/N) should've been. Something clicked in Albedo's head. So that's why he had been so infatuated with someone he thought he hardly knew. This was someone he met once before. They had spoke for hours on different topics when they were teenagers. (Y/N) was the person Albedo cared very deeply for in his youth before he met Alice and Klee. (Y/N) was Albedo's first love. He was once again snapped from his thoughts by the person he was thinking about. "? I thought you and your master had left. I was waiting for you." The teen said with a frown. "I am sorry for leaving you back then. I assure you it won't happen again." He said giving a reassuring smile. He meant what he said there's no way he wanted to lose the other again. He looked at Lisa who seemed confused. Before another clouds of light blue smoke appeared. (Y/N) was standing between the two looking slightly confused. "Wait were you the boy (Y/N) talked endlessly Albedo?" Lisa asked with a smirk. She saw both boys go bright red. "Miss Lisa I asked you not to mention that." He said.
As the conversation died down there was one thing for certain. Albedo wasn't going to lose (Y/N) a second time.

His Dearly Beloved.
|Hello everyone. An update I won't be taking requests for a bit. The requests I did have were deleted. My apologies please feel free to resubmit them when requests are open again. Anyways on to this one-shot. Please enjoy and as always feel free to change the pronouns to fit your own. Have a lovely day or night everyone.
Childe x GN! Fatui reader
Warning: There will be spoilers for Childe's story and story quest.
(Y/N) had known the eleventh Fatui harbinger for a long time. Long before he was known as Childe, or Tartaglia. They knew him before he had fallen into the abyss. The two had been very close and attached to one another. They were best friends. After Childe had become a harbinger it became rarer for the two to see each other. (Y/N) wasn't too fond about not seeing their best friend for what could be months away from each other. They used to be inseparable. (Y/N) remembers Childe's older siblings teasing their friend. They sent letters back and forth to each other. The day that they gained a vision was the day they would start training to work with Ajax. They knew being apart of the fatui wasn't the safest and people would look at them differently. The thought of being able to see Ajax got rid of their fear. They took a deep breath as they got ready for their exam. Their last letter to Tartaglia they said that they were preparing a surprise for him. They held a faint smile thinking about the other before heading to their exam. If the archons are on their side they should be reunited with their best friend in a few weeks.
Childe felt exhausted as he took a deep breath. He was feeling frustrated as his best friend had stopped send letters after they said they had a surprise being prepared for him. It had been three and a half weeks after all. He's received a letter from them every week without fail since he joined the fatui. He always sent one back. He wondered what was going on. He frowned at his desk he tapped his fingers on the desk. Not hearing from them worried him greatly. He knew how the world works. If something happened to the first person he fell in love with before he could take over the world, he'd kill whatever touched them. As he sat at his desk doing his paperwork he started feeling a bit antsy. He remembers the promise they made him when he left. They wouldn't break that if they had a choice. He wondered if he can manage to go home again. This time without worry about the nation of Liyue coming after him. Then he could go give them a piece of his mind or end whatever had harmed them. He really couldn't shake his worry. To top things off he was to be getting an assistant soon. He didn't need one. He had no clue what her majesty the Tsaritsa was thinking when she assigned him someone. He didn't need any help even after what happened with his Osial plan. He stood up and stepped away from his desk. He needed to engage in a battle or two to calm his nerves. He went to see if any debts needed collecting at the moment.
Childe was getting anxious about his friend. (Y/N) couldn't have dropped off easily. He wondered if they got involved with an archon. He'd fight all of the seven if he needed to get answer. His worries got put aside for a second. He couldn't believe his brother snuck all the way to Liyue. Keeping his brother from finding out what he actually does. He was running around with the traveler and Teucer. After all of the things that happened at the abandoned factor he had to ask the traveler to take Teucer back the bank. He didn't wish for his brother to see him in a weakened state. He made his way back there after resting a bit. When he is reunited with his younger brother he'll ask the younger about (Y/N). He hoped the traveler wouldn't ask too many questions about (Y/N). His brother was surely to make his feeling obvious. As he walked back to the bank he saw something unexpected. "Hello I am the person sent by her majesty the Tsaritsa herself. May I go fine the eleventh harbinger?" Childe froze as the person spoke. He knew that voice as well as he knew any of his siblings' voices. His mind ran with questions. "Master Childe is currently out with his brother. May I ask what your name is?" The receptionist said bring out the form from the Tsaritsa. She wished to verify the information. "Of course. My name is (Y/N) (L/N)." They said with a smile.
(Y/N) knew the protocol. They were given a special mask that they didn't have to wear all of the time. They were surprised to hear Childe was out with one of his siblings. They had visited his family before setting off to Liyue all of his siblings were accounted for or so they thought. He was told by Tonia that Teucer was out playing with a friend. Did that little rascal sneak off here? They couldn't help but smile. They knew the receptionist had confirmed their identity by now from the smile she held. "Is there anything that I may help with to help Childe before his return?" They asked. They noticed her start laughing. She pointed behind them. They turned around and saw their best friend. Their smile widened as they saw his shock. They also noticed Teucer with someone. Ajax must've trusted this person a lot to entrust his brother with them. They had fo admit they were slightly jealous as no one mentioned this person to them. Did Ajax fall in love while they were preparing to be by his side again? They couldn't shake the fear inside them that they had been replaced. The fear was pushed to the back of their mind when Teucer ran over to them. "Hey (Y/N)! My big brother told me that one day you two will get married is that true? I refuse. I like you way more than my big brother does. You should stay by my side instead. I haven't seen you for a while because big sister Tonia said you were going to be big brother's assistant. " Teucer asked. They definitely felt a heat rise in face. They saw Ajax rush over and picked Teucer up. "Now now Teucer that is quite the imagination. I never said I'd marry them. Also you little scam trying to get them to cut their trip here short. They probably got permission to come here unlike you. They just got here. I want to see them. You'll get to see them when they head back to Snezhnaya." They could tell he was nervously talking. They gave a small laugh. "Teucer is actually right about me coming here to be the greatest toy sellers assistant." (Y/N) said give their friend a soft smile.
Childe couldn't believe his brother said that. He knew his siblings all liked (Y/N) but he only expected that from his older siblings. They always joked about stealing the person he loved. Then he processed what his friend said. "We should talk about that later ok (Y/N) though I'd like you to meet my new comrade." Childe said. "No fair I wanna play with big brother, the nice person and (Y/N)." Teucer said. Childe shook his head no. "You need get home our family is surely worried about you Teucer. I already made arrangements for you to get home." He said. After a few hours he finally had a chance to speak with (Y/N) alone. He walked over to them and hugged them. "Do you know how worried I was? I didn't get anything from you for weeks. Then you show up like this? I was terrified something happened to you. You also broke our promise. You promised you'd keep in contact no matter what. I sent you several letters and got nothing back. I feared the worse happened. I was getting letters every week and then nothing for almost a month." Childe said holding onto them tightly.
(Y/N) put a hand on his shoulder. "Ajax loosen your grip or else you're going to crush me. I never broke our promise. I couldn't respond to you because I was in training. The moment I got a break I was already heading to Liyue. Ajax you have no idea how much I missed you. Feel free to hate me for saying this but I'm in love with you Ajax. Though I hope that doesn't happen. You mean so much to me. Though I guess I should call you Childe. Sorry for saying this so suddenly after we met again after so long. I just don't want to risk it if you get into a battle you can't win." (Y/N) said looking away with a deep blush. They slowly started trying to pull away from their long time friend. They felt themself being pulled closer to his chest. "I feel the same way (Y/N). Teucer must've read some poems I wrote for you forever ago. I thought they were all well hidden. I could never hate you but please don't make me worry like that again I thought something happened to you. You were my beloved childhood friend but now I hope that you become my beloved partner. I can't imagine anyone else by my side other than you. You need to be there when I take over the world." Childe said with a soft smile. They hugged him back finally. Their brain was in shock but they couldn't any happier. They burries their face into his chest. The two held each other close. They truly were his brother.

My Prince 1
|Hello everyone. I am back on this blog. The last couple of updates and the new trailers have inspired me to write Genshin again. I will be making two more one-shots with a similar theme coming soon with Diluc and Childe. My writing has changed so be aware of that. This post is really long. Anyways I hope you all enjoy. Feel free to change the pronouns to fit your own.
Albedo x Male reader.
One-Shot info:
You were the princess' attendant and happen to have a fated encounter with the prince. When you met you peaked his interest but to think you'd steal his heart as well.
Diluc's: You were his loyal friend and retainer since he was young. One day he gets jealous.
Child's: He was your loyal knight and would do anything for you.
Warnings: Some minor character story spoilers.|
Albedo:
(Y/N) was with his childhood friends and his their father. They were all invited to the castle so his friends could meet with the prince. The four was in a carriage with some tension between the other three in the carriage. His eyes went to look at the crimson hair and eyes sitting on the other side of the carriage. Then he looked next to him at the blue eyes who had a smug smile on his face. "May I ask why I was invited to met the Prince and Princess, Master Crepus?" (Y/N) asked hoping to relieve the tension by starting a chat.
Crepus gave the other a smile. (Y/N) looked around noticing how Diluc and Kaeya's faces pale. The two gave their father a look but his smile didn't faulter. "Well (Y/N) both of my sons refused over and over to come meet the prince. I'll be talking with Queen Alice about an upcoming party." Crepus started. He loved embarrassing his boys when he can. He was going to supply the wine for the guests. He watched as Kaeya covered his face and Diluc looked away crossing his arms. "The two seemed very interested when I suggested we invite you. I got it approved by her highness." He seemed ready to say more but was quickly was cut off.
"Father don't you want to mention the fact that we are going because the prince wants to met us are we are the best upcoming knights currently." Diluc budded in. He was embarrassed at how much his father had said to his best friend. (Y/N) looked at Kaeya and Diluc in surprise. "That's amazing you two. I'm glad you wanted me here." He said with a wide smile as both boys looked away. The rest of the carriage ride was a lot less tense. (Y/N) felt happy that both of his friends.
As the four approached the castle the three boys were amazed by at the size and the architecture. (Y/N) focused on the fountain. The design was lovely. He noticed a boy around their age and a young girl making something. His attention was defiantly captured. The carriage came to a stop at the gate and the four got out. They were greeted by the queen herself. "Welcome all of you." She greeted. "Sir Diluc and Sir Kaeya, Albedo and Klee are in the garden. Fell free to go and meet them with your friend. I'm sure your father explained that we are hoping one of you two to get closer with Albedo. If nothing happens after this first meeting don't worry." She gave a smile.
(Y/N) looked at his friends and felt the tension rise again. He saw Crimson eyes roll as they turned away from the queen to head to where the prince and the princess were. He suddenly felt like he didn't belong here with his friends. The three made their way to the fountain. The prince looked up when he heard footsteps. The blue eyes made (Y/N)'s heart beat pick up. The prince was very pretty. He quickly shook himself out of his thoughts and gave a bow. He kicked Kaeya so he'd do the same. While Diluc gave a small bow himself. "Hello Prince Albedo it's a pleasure to meet you." Diluc greeted.
"No need to be so formal Sir Diluc, Sir Kaeya, and who might you be?" Albedo's voice was very steady and even. He looked directly at the friend of the knights. "I am (Y/N) (L/N). I was invited along as an attendant for these two. It is a pleasure to meet you." He replied giving another bow. He watched as the Prince gave a nod and a small smile in return. His bouncing slightly with the nod. "Would it be possible to take the princess to play while you all discuss? You did arrange to meet with these two only after all. I'd prefer not to intrude and I am great with kids. Plus Sir Diluc is the youngest captain in the history of our nation." As (Y/N) spoke he got a look of betrayal from his friends.
(Y/N) had quickly pieced together he was invited because his friends were going to try to ditch him to just speak with the prince while they went to go check out the castle training grounds. He gave them a look and the two looked away. "Are you sure you don't mind? I am deeply interested in talking with Sir Diluc. You were not only the youngest to be knighted but you also became the youngest captain in our history." Albedo spoke. He seemed to of picked up on the looks but decided to see if they were alright with it. "Not at all your highness. Princess Klee is there anything you'd like to do? If you have any books you like I can read them to you?" He answered with a smile. He held out his hand for her to take.
The mention of a none nobleman being able to read seemed to of peaked Albedo's attention. Klee excitedly jumped over to (Y/N). She followed him a bit away from the other three males. Her knight followed the two. "Do you know how to make flower crown? I wanna make one for Big Brother Albedo." She asked with big eyes. He thought for a second. "What flower would you like to use? We can make one for Sir Diluc and Sir Kaeya as well." He said with a smile. the two went to a different part of the garden. (Y/N) showed her slowly how to make a flower crown. The knight with them was able to follow along easily as well. She thought that this young man was a great teacher.
"Jean! Look! Do you think Big Brother Albedo will like it?" Klee said holding up the flower crown. Jean took it into her hands and was surprised it didn't fall apart. (Y/N) had finished making three flower crowns. He placed one with red flowers on the princess' head. "You did amazing your highness." He encouraged. Jean looked at the vibrant flowers impressed. He seemed to have a good sense in matching flowers. She remembered Sir Diluc and Sir Kaeya talking about him in the knights academy. She wondered if he was as smart as the two mentioned.
Klee jumped around in glee with the flower crowns. She watched as the two adults stood up and started following her back to the others. The three were given the flower crowns before the princess dragged the two with her to her room. She grabbed some books and sat next to (Y/N) handing him the books.
The end of the day came and everyone met back up. "Mom can (Y/N) stay? He is really small and I want him to become my new teacher!" Klee quickly exclaimed before the four could return to the winery. Everyone but Jean looked surprised by Klee's request. Kaeya immediately wrapped his arms around his friend. "Are you sure Klee?" Alice asked a bit surprised. "Princess Klee. He is a very important person in at the winery. He is going to be an advisor of mine when I take over the winery and my father's title." Diluc said politely.
Albedo raised a brow and noticed his adoptive mother's interest as well. It was very interesting to see the knights reactions. He decided to interject. "Why don't we allow him to decided? After all this isn't a normal offer from the queen and the princess. Plus we can set up a system where he travels between the castle and the winery. if he chooses to agree." He stated. The two knights seemed at wits end because of his response. The winery owner seemed to be in the same position while (Y/N) seemed quiet.
"I think we should do a month trial to see if the princess is alright with being taught by me and I'd like to go back to the winery at least once a month." (Y/N) suggested. The queen seemed pleased by the answer. The winery owner also seemed to agree.
So the boy would stay for a month. Albedo would be lying if he said the other didn't peak his interest. Later that evening he snuck out of his room to go to the library. He was deep into some research about an interesting potion he heard about. He saw some candle light from underneath the door. Albedo was surprised there usually wasn't anyone in the library. He quietly made his way inside and saw (Y/N) at one of the tables. Albedo walked closer curiously. He wasn't paying attention to his path and stepped on a creaky board.
(Y/N) looked back hearing the creak. He seemed surprised to see the Prince. His eyes widened as they met with Blue ones. Albedo looked at his attire it seemed more casual than his earlier clothes. His posture seemed more relaxed. He noticed the stack of books. They would pretty difficult for anyone that wasn't well educated. "Please excuse me, My Prince. I was under the impression no one else would be here. I spoke with Queen Alice about using the library after hours. I will leave to not intrude you at all." (Y/N) said with a small bow. He closed the book he was reading and stood up seeming ready to leave.
Albedo reacted before he could think. His words didn't seem to want to come out. He watched the other put the books back in their proper places and about to head to the door. He noticed one of the books was the one he was coming to look at. Albedo grabbed the other's wrist and composed himself. "Wait no need to leave." He said. His mind was a mess he had no clue why he reacted this way. Something was drawing him towards the other. "Are you sure? I don't wish to disturb you Prince Albedo." He said with his head tilted. The blonde looked at him. The way his hair was place and the soft lighting of the candles.
Albedo nodded. "Absolutely. I'm not supposed to be out of my room this late anyways. We can just keep this our secret." He said with a smile. The other nodded and went to grab the books he was reading again. After that first night it became a routine for the two to meet in the library at night. Time had went by in a flash for the Prince. He had became so interested in the other he had begun drawing him in his free time. Albedo learned that (Y/N) had a photographic memory, He could also hold a conversation with the prince easily. Albedo didn't have to worry about explaining anything. It was rather nice. Eventually Albedo's face turned warm near then and he got butterflies in his stomach when it was time to meet with him.
Then the time came where (Y/N) had to return to the winery. Albedo was certainly worried about his friend staying at the winery. Soon his thoughts were consumed with how he felt around the other. He was very distracted for the week the other was gone. The amount of relief that washed over him when (Y/N) returned. That night they met in the library again. "Hey (Y/N) can you do me a favor and close your eyes?" The Prince asked. The other complied without a word. The amount of trust made his heart pound. Albedo put a necklace on his neck and kissed the other's cheek.
"I really like you but don't wish to make you uncomfortable. Though I would really appreciate it if you stay here at the castle. To tell the truth you seem to have captured my thoughts and heart. It was unpleasant being apart from you and worried if you would return." Albedo said as he watched the other's cheeks flush and eyes open. "I like you as well. Princess Klee had found and shown me your sketchbook. I was honored to have been drawn by you." (Y/N) said with a dark blush. He leaned in and gave a quick and soft kiss to the Prince. He stood up ready to leave. "Please don't worry about me leaving for good my prince. You hold my heart as well. I'll still go back to the winery as I worry about Diluc and Kaeya as they are like my brothers." He gave a wink before departing out of the library.
Albedo sat there with a dark blush. He placed a hand to his lips with his heart racing as well. He heard little taps as well. He looked over to see his younger sister. "Big Brother Albedo I have to tell Mom that you had your first kiss!" She said rushing out of the room. Albedo quickly stood up to rush after his sister. He had no clue what he would do if Alice found out. He'd never heard the end of it.

His Soft Moments
|Hello everyone who comes across this. Wish to say thank you again to everyone that participated in my 200 follower event. As I say with all of my writings please feel free to change this to fit your own pronouns. Enjoy and have a lovely day or night everyone.
Scenario: The moments that make your partner feel warm. Times that are so soft they want nothing more to keep you close and show you all of their love.
Cyno, and Tighnari(separately) x a Gender Neutral Reader.
Warnings: minor character and archon quest story spoilers.
Cyno:
Cyno hadn't been home for a bit. He was tracking down some scholars whom had been going to far with their research. He was tired from the constant going but he was fine by it. After all he needed to bring justice upon those who deserve it. Through that meant he hadn't had time to see his beloved. As he opened the door to his home he was surprised a bit when it had swung open. His eyes were met with surprised (eye color) eyes. Then he got a smile they reserved for him. "You're finally home! Wait we have to do this right." They greeted excitedly. They quickly shut the door before opening it again. "Welcome Home Cyno! I missed you." They quickly went to hug him.
Cyno figured they were the only person in all of Sumeru that would be excited to see him. He hugged them back holding them close. His fatigue from his long journey was gone. "I'm home." He said with a barely noticeable warmth in his voice. After everything that happened being with them was what he needed. "I was about to go shopping for some ingredients would you like to join me? If not you can get changed and cleaned up. When I get home I'll make us dinner and brush out your hair." They said with the smile that melts his heart.
Cyno already knew his stern face and reputation may cause trouble for his love if he went with. People wouldn't be as relaxed. Plus he'd worry about some of the enemies he's made comes to harm them. He kissed their cheek. "I'll get cleaned up and changed." He answered. They nodded and gave him a kiss before running off saying they'd be back before he knew it.
Cyno thought about when the two first met. He was a matra but not in his position of Mahamantra. They were an Amurta scholar who was constantly found in the rain forest looking at different species of plans. The amount of times the forest watchers found them tangled in vines and stuff or the amount of times they were found unconscious was unreal. The forest watcher had ask the matra to investigate them out of worry they were developing posions.
Cyno and his partner quickly found out they were just so focused on the things (Name) was observing and just forgot about their surround. Though the thing that struck him the most about them is they weren't ever afraid of him. The two shared meals together He was caught off guard one time by them getting close to his face. There wasn't an ounce of fear in their expression. In fact they made his face red with what they said. "You know Cyno you're eyes are really pretty and nice to look at. It's a shame you cover one up." They had a pout on their face as they spoke.
As (Name) made it to pick up some ingredients they saw a flower that would look nice pressed. They picked it and planned to ask Tighnari to do it later. It could become a luck charm for their boyfriend. They made their way back home and hear some movements in water. Cyno was probably washing up. They smiled and hid the flower out of sight before making dinner.
When Cyno got out he walked to his love and wrapped his arms around them holding them close to his chest. He got to be the taste tester for the food. He was happy to have their cooking had flavor. He hated bland rations he had to take with him to the desert. After the two finished their meal they sat on the couch. (Name) had brought out a new pack of Genius Invocation TCG cards.
Cyno removed his helmet and his love sat on his lap facing him. He was getting his hair brushed while he was looking through the pack he just got. His heart beat was starting to match their's. He loved these moments the most. He had been gone so long. After things settled down with their archon returning he was happy to be able to stay with them like this. It felt unreal at times like this. He was so lucky and wouldn't ever for get that fact. He'd always love them with all of his being. He put the cards down and just held them close. Relaxing into their touch. He melted as they ran the brush through his hair.
"Oh I heard there is going to be a performance put on by the grand bizarre later would you like to accompany me?" They asked. He thought about it for a second before nodding it was hard for him to say no to them
Tighnari:
Tighnari was always at the Avidiya forest. With the return of their archon and healing from his lightning strike. He was limited on his duties by collei and others. It made him huff as there's still a lot to do and he need prepare a lot of medicine for all of his patients. Tighnari gave a sigh before he heard footsteps approaching. He instantly recognized them as Collei's. Then his ears twitched hearing a second pair of footsteps beside Collei. He was hoping to the seven it wasn't an adventurer that ate a strange mushroom.
He gave a sigh before putting the items in his hands down. "Collei please tell you didn't bring an adventurer or injured person to me." He said with a pleading tone. He has yet to turn to face them. "Actually Master Tighnari this is someone who said they were worried about you after hearing what happened. They said they wanted to check on you." Collei said with a small giggle. It made him wonder who came to visit. When he turned around confused he was surprised to see his partner. He gave a smug smile.
"Oh so all it too for you to finish your expedition of desert ruins was for me to get hurt?" Tighnari said standing up and walking over. "Wait a second I could've walked over to you. You're still recovering." They said rushing over to stop him. "I'll be heading out to set everyone out on their patrol routes." Collei said with a smile to the two. Tighnari waved and told her to be careful. He smiled as she left. She has grown so much and is so much healthier thanks to the efforts of everyone.
Then he looked at his partner who held a worried expression. They seemed nervous to touch him. It made him wonder what they wer told about his condition. He initiated a hug and wrapped his arms around them. "Look I'm fine and taking it easy. Otherwise I'd have Collei, Cyno, the traveler, paimon and you nagging me constantly. I'm not going to break if you hold me." He said with no real bite behind his words. He felt their hold tighten a bit but not too much. He smiled thinking back to his akademiya days.
It was interesting how an Amurta scholar ended up falling for a Vahumana scholar. They seemed uninterested in all of they hype surrounding his popularity they met in the library. It was crowed and the two sat together. They were very shy at the beginning but soon opened up after he shared some plant facts. Tighnari found they enjoyed listening and was able to draw well during that encounter. Reminiscing brought a smile to his face.
Tighnari looked at (Name) who was still holding him like he'd break. "How about I take a break from what I'm doing and you can brush my tail?" He suggested noticing the sad expression. "I won't show you the marks because you'll probably freak out but I promise I'm fine." His tone shifted from sweet to a bit teasing. When they nodded at the idea the two sat down. Tighnari's tail in their lap. They started gently brushing our the knots.
Their touch always made him melt. He loved it when they brushed his tail or pet his ears. "Hey Tighnari. Can I see what the lightning did to you? I wanna make sure you're ok myself." They said softly holding his tail. Tighnari swore they were going to kill him being that cute. Not that it was actually possible to kill someone like that but it didnt make his heart race any less. He gave a sigh. Pulling his tail out of their arms. He removed the layers on his upper body.
The moment their eyes landed on his scars their hand reached out before stopping barely away from his skin. They looked away embarrassed slowly retracting their hand. Tighnari grabbed their hand and gave it a kiss. "Calm down you big baby. I'm fine I promise I'm not going to break if you touch me. The fact that you came here after you found our warms my heart. So if you feel bad for not being there you can make it up to me by giving me all of your affection. I haven't seen you in awhile after all. I think I'm overdue for your affection after you decided to leave me for the desert ruins." Tighnari lectured putting his top back on. He then pulled his lover in for a kiss.
He held on to their hand they attempted to touch his lightning scars with. "This is mine now." He said turning to lean against them. He held their hand to his chest. He had a smug smile when he felt heat rise meaning they were flustered. They gave a sigh relenting and pulled him closer going back and forth between petting his ears and tail with their free hand until they both ended up taking a nap. Tighnari was woken up by several whispers and giggles. When his eyes opened he saw several forest watchers looking in from his door.

His Starlight
|Hello everyone that comes across this. This will be for a modern au. If you saw this when I accidentally posted it please forget that. Not much else I have to say. As I always say please feel free to change the pronouns to fit your own. I hope everyone as a lovely day or night. Please enjoy
Scenario: him and his s/o decided to stargaze as a date. While they are memorize by the stars he is memorize by them and their graceful features. He thinks the stars are nothing compared to He beloved's beauty.
Cyno, Tighnari, and Thoma (separately) x a Gender Neutral Reader.
Warnings: None.|
(Side note Collei will be referenced as Cyno's adopted daughter. )
Cyno:
The cool night air surrounded the two. Cyno had arranged for them to stargaze with him. He heard from some of his friends there was some sort of moon thing happening that night. Candace had told him it was a blood moon. He wanted to do something special for them as the rest of their dates have been a little less then ideal. Cyno wasn't exactly a romantic and they knew it. He was trying his best even if Tighnari called him lame for it. Though that was mainly because of his jokes. Tighnari helped him with the information he needed to make the star gazing special.
He set things up so they were in his backyard on a blanket. Cyno had turned off the lights to his house to reduce light pollution to make the stars more visible. He was a bit surprised to see they had brought some food for them to enjoy together. His face was tinted a slight pink. He was just going to order some take out. He wasn't the best at cooking. It also warmed his heart how they also made a portion for Collei. He had to inform them that she was currently at Amber's for a sleepover.
His love seemed a bit disappointed to find that fact out but accepted it. They seemed to perk up when he said he'd save it for Collei when she got home. The two went outside with their hand in his. They sat down next to one another looking up. Cyno heard them start talking about the stars and constellations. He looked over and was mesmerized by the awe in their eyes. He felt as the sight before him was far more beautiful then the stars would ever be.
Cyno looked at every detail of their face. From the way their eyes shined, to the way their face was illuminated from the light of the night sky. His heart was pounding in his chest. The moment their head made the slightest sign of movement he looked up at the sky. He didn't want to get caught staring. Cyno was so focused on their beauty that he completely missed their questions. They poke his cheek making him look over.
"Cyno I asked if you were enjoying the sight of the stars as much as I am." (Name) said with a soft smile. He blushed a little. "Sure the stars are pretty and all but none of them compare to you." He stated matter of factly. That comment seemed to make their cheeks flush a dark red. He tilted his head looking a bit concerned.
"Are you alright my love?" He asked reaching and hand out placing it gently on their cheek. Cyno found their response to this to be cute. He was staring at them fondly. They were mumbling something about how cheesy that was and that he was too cute. He gave them a a quick kiss. "I love you. " He said softly resting his forehead on their own. He'll have to ask his friends about other cool star events so he can be mesmerized by their wonderstruck expressions.
Tighnari:
Tighnari has been super busy with some of his research. His partner had dragged him away from his research. He had a sweater on because it was later. He didn't mind being with them and was happy to spend some time with them. They planned a date to an observatory. He was interested in how much his love seemed to in the stars and astrology.
They sat down to wait for the show. Their hands intertwined. Tighnari heard his love mumbling things about about the different stars. They were so quiet he was sure he was the only one able to hear. He listened intently with a smile. It became a bit smug as he glanced over at them. In the dim lighting he was able to see them and how enamored they looked at the projected stars. Their focus was as intense as his own when discovering a new species.
Their mumbling was like music to his ears. He leaned close to their ear. "You know we could go actually stargazing one day up on a hill. It'd be far better to hear your little tidbits out loud instead of quiet mumbles. Though I suppose I'm lucky in that regard cause I hear everything." He whispered with a tiny smirk. His tail lightly flicked in amusement when they turned to him with a dark red face. They were so adorable flustered like that. He couldn't get enough of it.
(Name) quickly covered their face. Tighnari pouted a bit. How dare they hide their cute face from him. Once the lights came back on he quickly grabbed their hands to uncover their face. "You know watching that show was nice and all but even the true stars could never compare. Why watch the stares when I can watch you and the lovely awestruck look? Really no need for all this." He said with a sly smile. His eyes analyzing this expressions.
He held their hands so they couldn't hide their face again. His tail flicking in amusement and his ears perked up. They were typically quiet he loved this trait about them they always enjoyed listening to him and whatever he may be studying. He adored them with all of his heart. Who could blame him for teasing them when their reactions were cute. "You know instead of mumbling your thoughts you can actually say them. Even those mumbles are rare. I enjoy listening to your voice." He said proudly as they blushed.
"I enjoy hearing your voice more. If I let you talk enough you'll have a long lecture worth of stuff to say. I love it especially if it's a new species of plants you found." They mumbled giving him a quick kiss on the cheek with a smile. It was now his turn to go red. His tail was wagging uncontrollably as they left. "I suppose we'll both have to talk more then." He muttered. "I love you Tighnari." They said with a smile. This wasn't a bad break he suppose before quickly stealing a kiss and running ahead. He was supposed to be the one to tease them
Thoma:
Thoma is a bit of a romantic at heart. He loves nice moments with his lover. It makes him a bit giddy thinking of the plans for the night. They were going to go for a walk then watch the stars upon a hilltop. He was planning on making dinner for the two before hand. He would've done the hotpot game but (Name) had told him to stop playing it. He listened because they said they were worried about how much weird stuff he constantly consumed.
They cared a lot for him and it made him feel warm and happy. When he met up with them Thoma was surprised seeing them holding a bouquet of Windmill Asters for him. Thoma immediately engulfed them into a hug. He picked them up and swung them around. "You didn't have to get me flowers from Mond." He said as they giggled holding onto him for support.
"If I didn't I would've missed this reaction. I know you've brought the blanket and sweaters. You're always busy with your job I figure it'd be a nice surprise." They said before getting their face peppered in kisses. The two then went to have a little picnic. When the stars came out it was nice. They were sitting in his lap with his arms wrapped around them.
Thoma love sitting with them like this he could hold them close and protect them from the cold. Some of the stray animals he's constantly taking care of came over and sat by the two. "You're like a real life snow White. It's kinda cute how you attract animals Thoma." They said holding one of his hands. They started pointing out stars and constellations. Thoma was staring down at them with a wide smile on his face.
Thoma was mesmerized by them. They were so lovely and he was super happy. Their moments and time together were always nice. It felt like his heart was set ablaze by them. The moonlight really complimented their everything. He kept staring giving quiet mhms whenever they spoke.
Eventually he was caught staring. "Why aren't you looking at the stars?" They asked with a small pout. They changed their pose so they can look at him. Thoma looked away rubbing the back of his neck. "Well why look at the stars when you're bright enough to shine tonight." Thoma said with a blush and a smile. They gave him a pat on the head and then a kiss. "I love you Thoma."

His Magic
|Hello everyone. I got this idea from several artist I follow posting non-genshin art. It got me thinking about this. This will be an au that involves witches and familiars. (The wandere will be getting his own one shot on a later date.) Modern technology does exist but is ran by magic instead of electricity. If you want more from this au feel free to send in an ask for hcs with certain characters or for me to write for a character in this au, or just more information in general. As I always say feel free to change the pronouns to match your own. I hope you enjoy and have a lovely day or or night.
Cyno, Kazuha, and Tighnari(Separately) x a Gender Neutral Reader.
Warnings: mild angst, minor spoiler(?) and super long.|
Cyno (familiar):
Cyno had grown up with a witch they were his best friend and one of the most important people in his life. He was a familiar and had hoped for awhile that (Name) would make a pact with him. They had already been together for a long time what is the rest of their life. The day came where (Name) was being pressured by their parents to find a familiar. The two were barely adults. Their magic was growing out of control. Cyno approached them with and saw they seemed stressed out.
"Is everything ok?" He asked. They looked at him before shaking their head no. "My magic is becoming too much to be stored in my body. I'm constantly getting pestered by my parents to find a familiar. I don't want to find a familiar and find out I'm not their soulmate. I'd get too attached and wouldn't want to leave me for another witch. As you know our connections are special. We are ment to take care and protect each other." They rambled with their face in their hands.
In truth they really didn't even want to make a pact. It's what they were told to do. Over the years they knew cyno they seemed to of forgotten the fact he was a familiar. They were too busy hiding their face to notice their friend come and look at their spell book. It was open to a familiar summon page. The spell is typically used by witches who need a familiar fast. It summons a temporary familiar who isn't bound to anyone and is happy to work with the witch.
Cyno had to repress a growl that wanted to come out when he saw the page. He shut the spell book making them uncover their face. They looked at him surprised. "Cyno Why'd you close it? It took me ages to find that spell!" They said with a frown. "Make a pact with me instead. I haven't ever bonded with a witch before but I'd rather be your familiar than some temporary one." He stated in such a matter of fact way it seemed to make their eyes widen.
Cyno always liked the color of their eyes. He just liked them in general. They always treated him nice too. When they were young the other kids tended to be afraid of him. They claimed jackal familiars were violent and savage. He never hurt anyone who didn't do something wrong to begin with. He worked with the high magic counsel to protect both witches and familiars from harm and deadly situations.
However (Name) was always kind to him. They always sought him out when others would quiver in fear at him glancing their way. He has always been a man of few words. In middle school when he met his other witch friend Tighnari and was told his jokes weren't funny. They still laughed and smiled at some of them. Even when Tighnari told (Name) not to encourage his jokes.
"I could never do that to you cyno. I don't want to trap you and take you away from your work. I'm still an apprentice witch at the akademiya after all....." They were about to continue going but were quieted by him. "I want to know if you're my destined one. Please allow me to be selfish this once and make a pact with me." He said gently taking their hand into his. Cyno saw their thought through a series of expressions they were making. It made him frown. Had he been in his jackal form his tail and ears would've dropped.
After what felt like forever in them making their choice they gave a sigh. "How mad would you be if I tried choosing someone else?" They asked. Cyno tried and failed to repress the growl he felt this time. They stood up and pat his head. "Fine but promise me you'll break the contract if I'm not your soulmate. I'd rather you be able to find them." They said giving him a smile. Cyno quickly nodded.
The familiar contract was quickly cast. (Name) seemed hesitant and unsure but followed through. After they cast the contract cyno could hear a rapid thumping sound. He looked around confused at first. He was in his jackal form because of how the contract is casted. He felt some of their magic in his body. His tail started moving uncontrollably when he realized the sound. They sat on the ground casting the spell for the first time must've made them tired. He walked over placing his upper body on their lap.
Their parents rushed in and saw them with Cyno on their lap in his jackal form. "(Name) you finally made a familiar contract? With a Jackal familiar too." Their father said not recognizing their childhood friend. His tail was still swaying happily. He figured they were his destined one even if they weren't he wouldn't tell them but he could hear their heart beat perfectly. "Well this is only if I'm Cyno's soulmate." They quickly explained to their parents. Who were now staring wide eyed at the two.
That was years ago now. He was their familiar and they were his soulmate. They had graduated from the akademiya. They worked on sevrral projects at a time. Cyno walked into their study and saw they hadn't taken a break. They had been working on a new healing potions for those who got injured. He still had his job with the magic counsel but worked less hours. He crossed his arms and walked over.
"Love it's time to take a break. You've been there since I left this morning. I know you haven't taken a break cause the honeyed dates and water I brought you before I left haven't been touched." He said placing a hand on their shoulder. They seemed so absorbed in the project they didn't realize he was back. Because they jumped startled when his hand met their shoulder.
Cyno frowned as he heard their heart beat become fast and rapid. He saw they were about to protest and picked them up effortlessly. "Cyno put me down I'm so close." They whined but to him they just looked exhausted and no closer than they did earlier. He held them close and took them to their bed. "Rest first finish it later. " He said setting them down. It seemed they fell asleep the moment their head hit the pillow. He gave a sigh. He has such a careless witch. He was glad there was no other familiar meant for them.
The next day (Name) woke up confused. They didn't remember much after Cyno picked them up. Speaking of Cyno they didn't feel him anywhere. They jolted out of bed concerned. He was always near when they woke up and felt panicked he was gone. Then they noticed a letter on their night stand. They quickly glanced over it and found out Cyno had to leave earlier. They frowned at the thought of not seeing his beautiful sunset like eyes first thing.
They looked at the time and realized it was noon the next day. They gave a yawn and was slightly glad Cyno made them take a break. They stretched and got up to get ready for the day. They missed the message Cyno sent them asking if everything was on. He always seemed to know when their heart speeds up. They quickly responded before they heard him opening the door.
They quickly went to greet him. Their eyes widened as they saw the exhaustion in his eyes. They rushed over. "Cyno are you alright?" They asked worried. He nodded remaining quiet. They patted his head and pulled him into a hug. "I'll make us some food and we can just relax ok?" They said with a soft smile. He nodded. This was a common routine between them.
Kazuha(witch) :
Kazuha was out walking through the forest to return to his home when he found a little creature that seemed injured. He picked it up and noticed it was cold to the touch. He was definitely worried for the little one. He gently and carefully took them back to his home. He wrapped the little (hair color) cat up in a blanket after he took care of any injuries with his magic.
Kazuha could sense they were different than regular cats. This person must be a familiar. He waited for them to wake up for he could find out more about them and what happened. He pulled out a note book and started composing some poems. He was just going to do nothing while waiting for them to wake up. After a few hours he heard movement and looked over to the small cat watching their movements. They seemed confused and disoriented.
"Are you ok little cat? I found you a bit roughed up and was worried you had gotten into some kind of fight. Please don't be afraid I have no intentions of harming you." Kazuha said in a steady tone. His crimson eyes watching their movements carefully. The cat seem to relax from his words. It helped he casted a calming spell as well. They seemed hesitant to do anything still. "If you're a familiar and able to tell me what happened I'd be happy to make us come food and listen." He gave a kind reassuring smile.
The cat contemplated for a moment. "How do I know this isn't a trap?" They asked. "I'm not rather fond of traps. I am just a traveling witch. I go to and fro place to place. I happened to find you while coming back to my current residence. My name is Kaedehara Kazuha. I can't make you believe my words but I mean no ill intent." He said keeping his distance. He wanted to give them a chance to leave if they so desired.
(Name) watched the witch with narrowed eyes. They were very hesitant to trust witches. After a group of their kind were the reason not that long ago they had collapsed. It was because they refused to make a familiar contract with one person of the group. The worst part was they knew the witches forever. They watched as Kazuha made no movements. Their instincts were telling them he was fine but they were still hesitant.
"I'm going to get up and go make some tea would you like some? I'd prefer it if you didn't leave as I couldn't heal all of your injuries fully but I won't stop you if that is what you wish." Kazuha stated. They watched him stand. They raised an eye brow at the way he went the to the kitchen. His movements were nearly silent. (Name) decided to get up and follow him into the kitchen. He was very soft spoken and seemed kind. "So why are you being so kind of me? Won't your familiar get upset I'm here?" They asked as they followed him in the kitchen.
Kazuha shook his head no. "You had no signs of being malicious or anything. There is nothing wrong with aiding a being in need. I don't have a familiar as of this moment but I'm not pressed to get one either. As time progresses if I am meant to have one I will. You're welcome to travel with me or go back to wherever you need to. I just wish to make sure you're healed before I send you off." He answered boiling some water.
(Name) decided to stay with Kazuha for now. He was strange but still charming. They were curious about him. As time progressed with them by his side they didn't wish to leave it. He never pushed them away or anything and was rather kind to them even in their human form. He was musically talented as well as poetic. He was quite handsome and charming too. Before either of them knew it they spent a year together. They traveled place to place and gained new experiences.
One day while Kazuha was writing a poem he had (Name) on his lap in their cat form. "Hey Kazuha." They started. He put his full attention on them. "Yes (Name)? He answered with a smile. "Would you consider making a familiar contract with me? Most witches I know are terrible but you're different I wish to stay by your side." They mumbled quietly hoping he wouldn't hear. He gave a small laugh their attempt was rather endearing. "If that is what you wish I'd be happy to comply and make you my familiar." He stated giving their head a pat. He cast the familiar contract spell.
Kazuha smiled gently when they turned to their human form. He preferred this form a lot. As he had grown rather fond of them. He noticed a faint red dusting their delicate face. He leaned closer with a smile. "Oh do I happen to be your soulmate as well as your witch no? What is it like? Familiars tend to not share with witches how they know who their soulmate is. I'd love to find out." There was slight teasing tone in his voice. They stammered out something as an excuse but it was rather incoherent. They covered their reddening face to hide it from his view. He gave a small frown at their action.
"Well if I'm not your soulmate we can break the contract and search for your soulmate on our next travel." He stated teasing ever so slightly. The way their hands moved from covering their face to holding his hands made him feel regretful for teasing. "I'm sorry (Name) I was just joking. I don't want to give up someone who as nice and lovely as you." He said holding their hands in his. He seemed amused to see their face darken with their blush.
(Name) looked away from Kazuha and at the ground. To think the witch that protected them and saved them was their destined one. His heart beat was a steady and smooth as his voice. "You are my soulmate but telling you how I know is extremely embarrassing I'd rather not." They mumbled quietly. He gave a patient and happy smile. "Then take your time and tell me when and if you wish." He said tilting their chin up to look at him.
After the contract was made (Name) noticed Kazuha had become more flirtatious and silvered tongue around them it made their mind and heart race. However with his actions whenever they made some physical contact they were able to hear his heart raced. They two had a fairly standard routine for how they travel and spend the days and nights. Their lives had become entangled with each other.
The one day Kazuha didn't wake up with you by his side he nearly lost his mind. They could feel his heart speeding up. They hope he calms down when he finds their note they didn't want him to panic. They wanted to surprise him with a gift for everything he had done for them. They had to wait until a night he had gotten drunk and fallen asleep to not wake him up after all.
As they made their way back home they still felt his heart racing in panic. (Name) hoped Kazuha was still at their shared home. They heard his voice calling their name with concern. They saw him up ahead on the path. With his keen sense of hearing he seemed to of hear their footsteps. He rushed over to them and hugged them tightly. "I was so worried when I awoken and you were no where to be found. Why didn't you leave me a note or something?" He asked pulling away and looking into their eyes. They gave an apologetic smile. "I wanted to surprise you with a gift for everything." They answered pulling out a lyre. "There is no need for that. Merely being with you and being able to wake up by my side is all I could ask for." He said kissing their forehead.
Tighnari (Witch):
Tighnari was a very diligent person. He lived in the forest taking care of the various flora and fauna. Recently he had taken on a familiar apprentice after they had brought an adventurer to him. The adventurer was passed out because they consumed an inedible mushroom. After they wanted to learn about taking care of different plants and species. At first they were a stranger to him.
Tighnari was reluctant at first but found they were a diligent worker. They were also as passionate as him when it came to plants. In their animal form they were a small fennec fox with a (hair color) coat. When they told him their name some old memories had clicked for him. The two had met as little kids but he was positive that (Name) didn't remember him. It made him a bit irritated to think about but never let them know. After all they had made a silly little promise back then too. It was if they got taller than him he'd have to marry them.
He didn't mind the company and they could relate with his fox features when they were in their animal form. It was a toss up if he was going to be a familiar or a witch because of his parents. He turned out to be a witch with permanent familiar features. Not that he minded but it was quite a rare occurance. He found teasing (Name) was quite fun on occasions as well.
Tighnari also admittedly had liked (Name) for a long time. A really long time he wanted their promise to remain in the past cause while they were small in their animal form they were quite a bit taller than him. He was outside making some observations on the conditions of the local wildlife. He noticed a large infestation of a non-native flower recently. He made notes on the spread and what would be the best way to deal with the infestation.
"Hey Tighnari you should take a break and come eat some lunch you've been at this all morning." (Name) called from his home. He looked over at them and noticed a look in their eyes. It was as if they had something to tell him. He gathered up his notebook and stuff. "I'll be there in one moment. Go ahead and start eating without me" He called back. He gathered a quick sample from the flowers before heading in. He saw them waiting for him. He could smell the scent of mushroom stew. There was definitely something they wanted to tell him. They only made him this stew on special occasions or when there was something they wanted to tell him and it wasn't a special occasion.
"So out with it. You're clearly have something to say to me. It's better to address it before we share a meal." He stated crossing his arms. He did not expect their surprised expression. "Don't tell me you forgotten about what day it is?" They asked with their (eye color) eyes wide. Tighnari looked confused expression. He couldn't remember anything special about today. Though he was having to concentrate more on suppressing his excess magic.
He was about to go look at their calendar but was stopped by his apprentice/ friend. "Tighnari it's your birthday." They said with a laugh. He felt his face heat up and he looked away. "My mind has been preoccupied with other things as of recently. Plus at a certain point it just becomes another day." He saw their smile drop to a look of concern. "Are you ok? Are you getting sick? You're rather good with remembering dates and events." They said.
Tighnari jumped back when he had felt their hand on his forehead. His heart was racing so fast in his chest. It made him glad he didn't have a familiar contract with the familiar destined for him. "What on earth are you doing? You've been my apprentice for awhile now. Checking someone's temperature with your hand can be ineffective. We have a thermometer use that first to check temperatures. I'm also just fine and not running a fever." Tighnari scolded. His face was completely red. He had grabbed onto his tail in order to stop it's movement. He looked away from them embarrassed.
"I'm glad you're ok. Also happy birthday. I'll also be heading to the desert for a few days. Cyno offered to take me to see something." They said seeming less concerned. Tighnari felt his ears drop but couldn't care much. He was saddened to think about them leaving. He couldn't join them because he can't stand heat very well. They seemed to of noticed the minor drop in his mood.
"Hey Tighnari it's ok. I'll be back in hopefully a week or less. Plus I still plan on eating lunch with you. It's your special day after all. I want to spend time with you but the gift I wanna get you is in the desert. Wait for me to get back?" They said with a smile. Tighnari now wasn't in much of a mood to eat. He couldn't convince them to stay. He knew better since they are extremely stubborn. He got some of the soup and the two ate in silence. Was he being petty? Perhaps but what does that matter. He'd happily just take their company as a gift.
After they had been gone for 5 days there was a really bad storm that occurred. He must have the worst luck as he managed to get struck by lightning during the storm. Tighnari was now forced rest. He had managed to keep his mind off them leaving him for a bit by keeping himself busy from when he woke up until he went to bed. His tail flicked in irritation. He decided he was going to ask them to be his familiar so he won't be left alone again. It'd also help to have a contract to control his magic.
Tighnari managed to fall asleep while resting he was unaware that (Name) came home. They were in their animal form to make less noise. They were carrying a golden rose as Tighnari always talked about them when the two were kids. They didn't see him outside nor hear him. As they made their way through the house they heard light snores. They quickly transformed to their human form and rushed to his room. Tighnari was rarely sick and took naps even less. They knocked on his door.
He didn't respond so they opened the door and saw him all bandaged up. They felt their heart pick up in pace. They rushed over long forgetting the rose they dropped. "Tighnari wake up." They said gently shaking him. When his bi colored eyes opened and saw them they seemed less panicked. Since he seemed as if he wasn't in pain or at least he wasn't until he jumped up hugging them. "Tighnari what happened?" They asked trying not to freak out.
"I was struck by lightning during a storm. I'm ok. What matters is you're back. I was worried sick about you." Tighnari was about to go off on a lecture but they beat him too it. "You need to get a familiar. Your magic has been acting up for awhile. Had you got one you would've been able to heal yourself easily by now. I'll happily take the role if you'll allow it." They said worried.
"I'm fine calm down...." Tighnari started before he processed what they said at the end. "Well if you are that insistent on becoming my familiar you'll need to turn into your little fox form and I can cast the contract." He said. This was a wonderful way to wake up from his nap. They seemed a little embarrassed realizing what they just declared. "Don't force yourself though if you didn't mean it" He said before they transformed. "I want to do it so long as you promise me it won't harm you cause I can wait. After all we have plenty of time you promised to marry me if I grew taller than you." They said with a worried look.
"Oh so you did remember me and just haven't said anything up until now? I don't know if I want a familiar that hides the truth from me." Tighnari said watching their ears drop and their head lowered. He stood up with seemed to bring back their concern. He kneeled down and picked them up. "Calm down I'm joking" he said before casting the contract spell. He noticed a shift in their demeanor. Their ears were straight up and their tail wagging uncontrollably. "Oh I must be your soulmate from that reaction I'll have to learn to control my heart beat." Tighnari said holding them in his arms.
"So what did you have to go all the way to the desert to go get?" Tighnari said. He watched their eyes widened in realization. "I was so worried about you I dropped the golden rose." They said trying to wiggle out of his arms. He just held them closer. He walked towards the door to go look for the flower. He looked surprised when finding it. He picked up with a smile. "Can't believe you went to find me one because I was obsessed with a story about it as a child. That was reckless." Tighnari stated shaking his head in disbelief. Looks like there's no getting rid of him for them.

His treasure
|Hello everyone who sees this. The reader will be older than Cyno by a few years. This is an au with some Canon references. This is a one-shot so expect it to be long. As always please feel free to change the pronouns to fit your own. Enjoy and have a lovely day or night.
Scenario: Cyno became the king at a young age. As he became an adult there was pressure to marry. Though his gaze only fell upon the one person who was always there for him, who was always by his side for as long as he remembered. The issue was the person was a servant.
King Cyno x Servant Male reader.
Warnings: Mentions of assassinations, minor injuries, spoliers of Cyno's stories, and super long. |
Cyno had been crowned King for several years now. The desert could be considered harsh and there was the constant feuds with the forest neighboring the boarders. There was constant pressure for him to wed and produce an heir incase his fate alligns with his parents. He detested the notion he had to marry a suitor. He didn't want any of them. His gaze only fell on one person. He was amazing in Cyno's eyes. They both had similar morals and stuck to their core principles. The older male had his full trust. He had also been by the young king for so long. Cyno knew he shouldn't have fallen for his attendant but he couldn't help it. His duties are something he can't compromise on. He needed to be hard to keep the throne from corruption and the people safe.
Cyno knew that the other cared about him. Even after he had offered his body as a vessel for a powerful spirit. The older male was there every second tending to the young kings needs. At first Cyno thought it may have been to gain favor from the new king. It was a very common thing among the palace after all. The servant had just been put into the position right before his parents death so he wanted to be safe than sorry. Though the older male did something that very few did after his ascension to the throne he comforted Cyno.
The young king would often wake up from nightmares as the spirt inhabiting his body and his parents death took a toll on him. The servant had become aware of this one night after a really bad dream. Cyno had woken up with a small yelp of fear and panic. The guards didn't hear but his attendant did. It surprised the young king but he later found out the other had a good sense of hearing. From that night on if cyno woken from a nightmare he'd find his loyal attendant by his side and ensuring the young king got back to sleep. Cyno is still certain there's some witch craft at play because his attendant was able to get him to sleep with ease every time a feat his parents couldn't even manage.
Cyno didn't prefer calling those who work for the palace that had been there for awhile servants. He had gained their respect and they gained his. An older one named Cyrus was like a father figure to him. The servants of the palace were good to him. They just had a different fate from the start. After all he was just lucky to be born into royalty. If push came to shove he'd be judged the same as everyone else if he committed a sin. The scales spare no one and that's what he loved about them. They were fair and just no matter position or bloodline. He devoted himself to that line of principles.
Cyno had trained a lot and became one of the strongest fighters to be known. He has to credit some of his strength to an ancient spirit he offered his body too. He was currently in a meeting to discuss and deal with matters. Though none of the information was new. The older advisors had been beating around the bush for a week. They were too stuck on minor issues and wouldn't let him get much of a word in other wise. He started thinking of a joke that may make his attendant laugh finally.
He tuned out most of it as the thought of his beloved filled his mind. Then his thoughts started to become consumed with thoughts of the other. The advisors switched topics to a matter he was already working on. He had consulted Cyrus about the matters earlier that day. He was still paying half attention to what was being said. Though he thought their motives were becoming self servant and he'd have to do an investigation on them soon to determine motives.
Cyno gave a sigh and started to reminisced about (Name). The older male had become his attendant so long ago. He seemed like a more trustworthy advisor than all those at the current meeting. He was also trained to be able to protect the king with both his mind and body. As were most attendants that served the throne before him. The training to become a royal attendant wasn't easy. The young king admired the other's dedication.
(Name) was ready to sacrifice his life for his king. Though Cyno would prefer though the older male would trust his life in the young king's hands. It left a bitter feeling in Cyno as he'd be upset for the other risking his life. His feelings may have clouded his judgement a bit on that thought process. However it was because the other had stolen his heart.
Cyno was constantly talking about the other. So much to the point his mentor who was from another nation as well as his closet friend enjoyed teasing him about it. She was like an older sister to him as Cyrus also treated her like his own child. Lisa would also mention how diligent (Name) was when he was sent to library by Cyno. He'd make sure to get the books and scrolls asked as well as asking her for additional materials that may prove useful.
The advisors had started another argument with each other. He quickly put an end to as they all seemed to be intimidated by him when raising his voice. They went back to talking in a civil manner. He thought a great joke and remember when (Name) first became his attendant he'd live to hear the other's wonderful laughter fill the room from his jokes. It made Cyno prideful to hear genuine laughter rather than the standard forced laughs. That was when he was younger so the laughs could've been amusement rather finding him funny but Cyno would take it. He hadn't heard the laugh for a bit. He'll have to pull out his best jokes to he it again.
If he ever had a problem he knew he could lean on the other. He fell hard when he was in his early teens. That was because the other stood up for the young king. He was lost with very little guidance as several older advisors wished to gain more power in their favor. (Name) made sure they remembered who was the king. There was also that assassination attempt on his life involving his food.
A cook was paid a hefty sum to get rid of the king so one of the advisors could take the throne. (Name) declared to the staff that to ensure their king's safety he'd prepare every meal. His mother had been a royal chef for years and so the attendant learned a lot. The young king greatly loved all of the meals prepared. That had made Cyno fall for the other even more. After all very few would manage to remain firm with that choice.
Cyno was still figuring out how he could wed the older male without any issues. He remembered when he first started falling for the other. He was constantly in the library for his studies. He had to learn a lot in a very short time. He was pushing himself hard after all he was the desert's king now. He had gotten very little sleep. (Name) found him late in the evening with a few light sources and a large stack of books by him.
(Name) frowned seeing his king. He knew the young king hadn't slept for a few nights now and was worried about his health. He walked over determined to coax the light haired male to rest. He grabbed the book from Cyno's hands and marked the page with his bookmark. It was a mourning flower pressed on a small sheet he made himself. "My bookmark will keep your page and I'll put the book on your nightstand so you'll be able to pick up where you left off tomorrow. Tell me what stack you've read and I'll put them away while you rest. Then set aside those that you haven't." He stated keeping the book away from the young king.
Cyno tried reaching for it but his height proved to be an obstacle. "(Name) give that back now this is an order. I have no time to rest. The forest and Akademiya are both becoming pressing matters. I still need to learn about our other political ties and....." He started to argue and was cut off with a finger to his mouth. His eyes widened after his brain caught up with the action. Since he'd become king everyone had just put his thoughts first.
"You're no use to anyone if you deprive yourself of sleep and press yourself until you can't anymore. Your health may not be your priority but it is mine. So we can do this the easy way or I am going to pick you up take you to your room and sort through your piles of books myself. I will help you get ready for bed and everything but I refuse to allow you to continue on this destructive path." (Name) stated with a sigh. He gave a stern look to his king showing there was no room for debate.
For some reason Cyno's heart began speeding up. He saw his attendant in a different light. The older male made his stomach feel like there was a swarm of butterflies in it. His cheeks dusted a light pink and he started wondering if there was something wrong with him. That was the day he learned of a different kind of love. He stood up from his seat and resigned to listening to his attendant.
Cyno quickly pointed to which stacks he had read and which ones he still needed to review. He got a nod and soft smile. He had no clue what feelings had begun forming at the time. He felt his exhaustion catching up to him and start swaying. His attendant was quick to pick up on it. Cyno put his hand on a nearby book self not thinking about the weight he'd put on it.
The case shook a bit and the next thing he knew was there was several books falling. His reaction time was significantly dulled from his lack of sleep and he froze in place. He didn't feel pain though. It took him a second to realize (Name) pulled him into his warm embrace and took the force of the books that fell. "Are you ok my King?" Cyno was shaken much like the book shelf originally. He didn't typically like being called "my king" but coming from the older male made his heart stutter.
The meeting was starting to drag on and on. The advisors talking themselves in circles. He wondered how his parents dealt with any of their round about ways of talking. He gave a small sigh to himself. He turned his full attention to the advisors wanting the meeting to be nearing its end.
"King Cyno we need you to pick a spouse soon." One of his advisors said finally addressing the King. "May I suggest my daughter? She is exceptional and would perhaps suit your tastes." Cyno had to refrain from rolling his eyes. "There is nothing to gain for anyone except for you if I marry your daughter." He stated matter of factly. He could tell that angered the advisor. While the others agreed with him.
"A political marriage between him and the princess of flowers Nilou would be a better choice." Another advisor piped up. Cyno crossed his arms this meeting had turned pointless. "If that's all you have left to discuss this meeting is over. I don't want to hear another word about it." He said firmly the conference room was silent after his statement. He stood up. "Alright then this meeting is over and I'll be going to attend to my other duties."
Cyno left the room without another word. He was a bit irritated to say the least. He went to some of the matra that worked under him to look into his current advisors. The power of the throne had all be transferred to him. He can finally start weeding out the corruption for the betterment of the people. He was also planning on meeting some diplomats from the forest to start working on peace with them. He felt a bit at peace knowing their God will be at the meeting.
He pinched the bridge of his nose for a second before walking to his room. He heard a confrontation going on in the hallway approaching his room. He sighed before making his way to the voices. "I am not trying to poison the king. Now move out of my way." Cyno started walking faster to confirm if the person talking was indeed his loyal attendant. When he turned the corner his suspicion was true. The older male didn't notice him. She had grabbed on to him very harshly. "Please let go you're going to make me drop the king's food and you're starting to hurt my wrist."
"King Cyno! Thank goodness you're here. This servant here put something in your food. It was a powdery substance that he mixed in at the end it looked nothing like seasonings. I'm positive he's trying to poison you." Cyno looked at the girl. She was the daughter of the advisor that spoke earlier. He looked between the two. "Considering he's the only one allowed to touch my food I highly doubt it. Also go to a guard next time don't be a fool. Your father probably told you to get on my good side however assaulting my most trusted attendant isn't the way to do it." Cyno's tone was definitely a bit irritated.
"Also dealing with an attempted assassination by yourself is foolish and a way to get yourself killed. Next time talk to a guard. Come on (Name)." Cyno stated watching her quickly let go of the other and back up. She looked like a fish out of water watching the two walk away as though one of them had just slapped her.
The two made it to Cyno's room and (Name) set down the tray on the table in the room. He grabbed the older Male's hand and inspected his wrist. "Good she didn't seem to have left a bruise or a mark. Now (Name) care to tell me what extra ingredient you put into my food?" He said. He absolutely surprised the other. Though cyno knows he puts seasonings in as he cooks to infuse the flavors. I've watched you enough times to know." Cyno said staring deeply into the other's eyes scanning for any hint of a lie.
(Name) sighed. He gave a small smile knowing he couldn't lie. "You said you were feeling under the weather so I contacted your doctor penpal from the forest. I've also noticed your nightmares have returned. So I had made what he recommended after consulting some of the palaces doctors. You're stubborn when it comes to your health my king so I was planning on sneaking it into your food. I made sure nothing would do you harm." He answered. He had a look of surprise when Cyno stepped closer invading his personal space a bit
"I see. Would you mind getting me the book I was reading earlier? I left it in my study. Its the same one I asked you for earlier. I want to sit down for a bit and enjoy the food you prepared." Cyno responded stepping away. He walked towards the couch. "Of course my king." He said once the words left his mouth the young king once again felt the butterflies. His cheeks dusted pink as the other left.
(Name) walked into the study and picked up the book. After he grabbed it he noticed a bookmark that looked familiar. He picked it up and inspected it. After picking it up he came to the realization that it was his bookmark. He always wondered what happened to it but then remembered that night in the library. It seemed Cyno had kept it after he placed it in his book.
He made his way back to his king's room. He knocked before getting permission to enter. "It seems I have to mark you as a thief my king." He said walking over and handing cyno and the book making. He made sure to put emphasis on the word mark. He saw the king's eyes lighten a bit. "That joke was bad. All these years and you have no sense of humor. You left it in my book after taking it away from me. Consider it compensation." Cyno responded.
He felt his heart racing when he heard (Name) give a small giggle. He looked over and saw the other with a smile. He felt now or never was the time to admit his feelings. "I should put you under arrest for stealing." He stated making the older male confused. "After all one's heart can be considered their greatest treasure." He said with a blank expression. They'd have a lot to navigate but the bookmark was his greatest treasure as it came from the one he loved. They'd have to work around stuff and he was planning on just adopting a child to raise as his heir. He wanted to be with (Name) and end the discussions him getting married. As to him there was only one person who could own his heart. His most valuable treasure belongs to (Name) alone.

His Soulmate
|Hello everyone that come across this. This will be a soulmate au. I am a huge sucker for the concept. If the pronouns don't fit your own as always feel free to change then to match your own. The reader isn't the traveler in this. The wander will be referred to as Scara just so you are aware. Please enjoy and have a lovely day or night.
Scenario: All his life knowing someone was destined to him by the heavens. It feels more like a taunt to him. Why is there a mark on his arm connecting him on someone he doesn't know? Would this person truly be fated to be his? Were constant questions running through his head.
Cyno, Tighnari, and Wanderer(Separately) x A Gender Neutral Reader
Warnings: major spoilers for the Archon quest 3.3 and character quests. Mild angst that ends in fluff. This is also fairly long. |
Cyno:
Cyno had always waited for his soulmate mark to appear. He wanted to know if he could be fated with another. A lot of people are afraid of him or hate him. He has many enemies and few allies. When it finally appeared on his inner wrist he was surprised. People would constantly telling him no one could love him. It was primarily those who were arrested by him. He used to let it get to him when he was still very young. The only time it bothered him when he was general Mahamantra was when someone claimed his soulmate must've died before he met them.
If he ever let it get to him he'd trace his finger over the little jackal mark on his wrist. He did it when he was alone. He always wondered who was destined to him by the gods. He quickly shook his head now wasn't the time to be distracted. With the return of their God and his position there was still a lot of work to do. He made his way to Gandharva Ville to check on those he cares about there. He was just going to make it a quick trip but Tighnari had heard his footsteps.
"Well if you're going to visit after dumping a bunch of people on me you might as well at least stay for dinner. Plus that way I can give you an in depth report on the scholars, the traveler, and collei. You can also meet my new assistant. They have been helping me out because Collei and you would freak out if I do too much before I heal myself." Tighnari stated behind him. He put his hands on his hips.
At that point it was hard for cyno to refuse. He had a lot to do but it had been awhile. He'd be able to see how Collei's condition is as well as Tighnari's. He followed Tighnari to his hut. He saw someone rush over to them looking upset. "Master Tighnari you shouldn't be moving around so much. It's also time reapply your medicine." They said before they noticed a guest with him. Tighnari noticed something about his junior and assistant had caught the general's eyes. "My apologies for being rude I didn't realize you had a guest." They quickly muttered.
Cyno was surprised to see his soulmark on the person. They seemed to be a year younger than him. He recognized them as a recent Amurta graduate. He had seen them before after him and Tighnari were often seen together. He never saw their wrist due to the Amurta robes. He quickly looked up and caught their eyes. "General Mahamantra is my soul mark interesting? Or do you recognize it?" They asked seeming excited.
"You should introduce yourself first (Name) before asking a question to Cyno. Just because you know who he is doesn't mean he knows you." Tighnari scolded. Their cheeks became a bit red. "I'm sorry master Tighnari. General Mahamantra I'm (Name) (Last Name). I am Master Tighnari's assistant. I was his Junior when we were both studying at the akademiya." They greeted him with a smile. He found it interesting how they didn't seem frightened by his gaze. "Just call me Cyno. Surely if Tighnari puts enough trust in you you're fine in my books. To answer question it's strange to see depictions of black jackal outside of the desert." Cyno simply stated.
He'd decided to keep quiet about his soulmark. They seemed nice from what he has deduced so far. He wondered why this person was fated with him. He crossed his arms. "Go take care of Tighnari's medicine. I'm going to go check on Collei." He said turning to leave. He had caught them staring at him with interest. He found them strange. Most scholars see him and look terrified or take off running. He thought back to some of the cruel things those he brought to justice has said.
Cyno found Collei and asked her how she has been. He made small talk with her before suggesting a game of Genius Invocation TCG. He wanted to ease the tension she seemed to have. They played a round until Tighnari and (Name) came out. "Collei can you help me make dinner? (Name) you can you keep Cyno company?" Tighnari asked. Collei had quickly stood up agreeing. Cyno dislikes how his presence affected her. She's already been through enough. As the other two walked away he noticed how Tighnari's tail flicked in amusement. He was definitely up to something. It wasn't anything bad but he seemed as amused as he was when threatening people to lock him up.
He glanced up at them and they gave him another smile. His expression didn't change at all but they walked over. "Could you tell me more about jackals? I've tried to look them up but haven't gotten much information. I was hoping it'd lead me to finding my soulmate." They asked excited. They eyes drew him in. He made an assessment of their appearance. They were attractive in his books.
Cyno raised an eyebrow at them changing his expression finally. "You're unlike every scholar I've ever met." He said surprised how relaxed they seemed. They gave him a smile. "You shouldn't judge people if they haven't done anything bad. Plus Master Tighnari speaks highly of you. He said that most scholars' research don't really gain your attention. I trust him quite a lot. He was the nicest senior I could've asked for. I also believe everyone deserves some kindness." They answered. For some reason their smile made his heart stutter. It was rather nice. He was also relieved that his soulmate wasn't dead.
Cyno nodded listening to their words. He was sure the universe made a mistake. They were kind and shined brightly. He'd just cause them trouble. After all he was general Mahamantra and he years of fighting and condemning the guilty. They seemed sweet and innocent. From how kind they were being to him all because Tighnari. He wondered if they had a motive of some sort. He started to explain what he knew about jackals to them. He also slipped in a joke. His eyes widened ever so slightly in surprise when they started laughing. Then he looked confused. "I didn't even have to explain it." He muttered.
They tilted their head when he said that. "What do you mean explain it? It was funny." (Name) said with a smile. Tighnari and Collei came over. "(Name) you don't need to laugh his jokes aren't funny." He said with a frown. Collei looked confused. Cyno looked at Tighnari crossing his arms. He hears everything after all. "I happen to disagree. I find my jokes to be hilarious." He stated. He was about to tell some of his best jokes but was stopped. "If you tell them now I'm telling you to leave. The food will get cold." Tighnari said with a sigh.
"I'd love to hear them later." (Name) stated. Which gave Tighnari a horrified look. Cyno wondered if their soulmate marks were just meant to be platonic. He wanted to hear their laugh again it was nice compared to the false ones he'd received from the matra. He could get used to listening to it forever if given the chance. He shook his head. He was overthinking things now. It has to be due to the fact of what he's been told over and over. How he must be unlovable. Words don't typically bother him. However when it came to his soulmate they did a lot more than he'd like to admit. The four finished dinner and Cyno had been caught up on what he wished to know. He was glad everyone was doing well.
Tighnari had dragged him away before he was able to tell anymore jokes. "Cyno what's bothering you? I can tell you're conflicted with one glance." He stated. "Perhaps it has to do with your mark matching their's?" Cyno looked away giving Tighnari his answer. The two were close so they have seen the other's marks before. In Tighnari's case he happened to see it while patching up an injury. Before Cyno just claimed he didn't have a mark feeling it was for the best it be kept a secret. All of the other Matra thought he didn't have a soulmate minus his late partner Taj who had seen it.
Tighnari gave a sigh rubbing his temples. "I don't know what your deal is they seem excited to meet you. Even when I had just met them they wanted to meet their soulmate. They are very kind and caring as well. You should just tell them. No need to beat around the bush. When we first became friends you always held your mark whenever there was something troubling you. Not that anyone but a select few knew about it." He explained.
Cyno knew he was right. "I don't wish to cause them trouble. I've made a lot of enemies and very few friends. Plus I have no idea if they might gain another motive after finding out I'm their soulmate. There's no way I'll be able to give them any attention they may crave for awhile. I have a lot of work from finding new people the sage positions, working to establish an education system in the desert, and my usual duties." He said. He didn't wish to bother them. He felt he wasn't worth the effort.
Tighnari crossed his arms. "It's not my place to tell them though I do think it's a bit cruel for you to just decide for them it won't work. When things calm down you should tell them. They will be staying as a forest watcher so you'll know where to find them." He said. "You deserve love as much as anyone else." He walked away leaving Cyno there to think. He will decide once he gets to know them better.
After all Tighnari was right. He decided to just leave for a bit in order to clear his and get things in sumeru sorted out. A few months pass since his last visit. When he returns to Gandharva Ville he was greeted by (Name) they gave him the same smile they had when the two first met. He wasn't planning on staying long. He was going to do his usual visit to see collei and leave. He had gotten a small cut on his arm from some Rouge scholars he just dealt with. "Hello Cyno. The other forest watchers are out on patrol. Is there anything I can help you with?" They greeted with a wave. Their eyes fell onto the cut and they had gone silent for a second.
They quickly grabbed his hand resulting in his heart speeding up. They lead him to the medical tent. "Can you remove your arm brace? I wish to take care of that cut before it gets infected." They said looking at his with worried eyes. He was extremely hesitant because there was a chance of his mark showing. He wondered why he felt so strange around them. He was about to say he was fine and it was only a minor cut but they already removed his brace.
Silence fell on the two. It felt suffocating for Cyno. He saw their eyes switch between a wide range of emotions. He prepared himself to be lashed out at but it never came instead he felt them trace the mark causing him to shiver. He tried pulling his arm away so he could swiftly leave. "Oh right the cut." They quickly said after staring at the mark. They quickly pulled his arm back towards them before dressing his wound.
They held his hand and gave him a soft smile. His heart was racing though his face didn't show it. "I never thought my soulmate could be someone as cool as the general Mahamantra. Sorry for staring. It's just the mark looks so beautiful on you. I'm sure you had your reasons for not telling me. Though fate has a way I suppose. That's what my parents told me when I was young." They said.
Cyno was good at dealing with a bunch of different situations. His feelings and voicing them was out of the question. His mind was racing as they held his hand. Looking at his with eyes filled with so much emotions. While he sat there stunned for a moment. He snapped out of it when he heard a familiar voice. "Oh so they finally found out cause general Mahamantra got hurt." Tighnari teased at the entrance. Cyno blushed ever so slightly and looked away.
"Welcome back Master Tighnari. Is everything ok? Did you get hurt on patrol?" (Name) asked with a smile. "No I just heard you talking to someone and got curious. I'll leave you both alone to talk." He responded with a sly smile. Cyno sent a small glare his way as he walked off. He looked back at (Name) and saw them blushing. "Are you alright?" He asked worried.
They quickly nodded. "Yup I'm perfectly fine." Their words were fastly spoken. Cyno's eyes shifted a bit to a look of concern. He could tell they were lying. "How about telling the truth?" He said staring into their eyes. "Master Tighnari may have heard me rambling to Collei about how handsome you were after you left." They said quickly covering their face.
Cyno seemed surprised with his face turning slightly more red. He rubbed the back of his neck before putting his arm brace back on. His heart was pounding so hard he was sure Tighnari could hear it perfectly. "Thank you for taking care of the cut." He said. He'd have to bring honeyed dates and stuff for them too now. The fact they didn't reject him or resent him was strange. To top it off they had called him handsome to Collei.
"Would you perhaps like to stay for dinner again?" They asked hopeful. Cyno decided then and there they were going to be bad for his heart. They likes his jokes and was one of the most stunning people he's ever seen. The gods definitely didn't make a mistake. Intertwining his fate with someone who is as kind and caring as (Name). He'll need to report this to his God. She'll be upset if he keeps her out of the loop.
The biggest thing from this all was they seemed to love him unconditionally. He thought he wasn't loveable but here his soulmate was proving him wrong.
Tighnari:
Tighnari got upset at the mark on his arm. He wasn't the most fond of the idea of his fate not being his own. So thus he chose to ignore it. His kind mate for life after all. He wanted to choose who he was bound to love for the rest of his life. He simply ignored his mark. It would solve that problem. Of course being as popular as he was in the akademiya provided several people asking to see his soulmate mark.
He knew it was a fenec fox but he didn't show it to anyone. He didn't look at it either. He knows the gods can be stubborn but so can he. Tighnari was well aware of several people hoping they were his soulmate. He hated that as much as everyone asking for pictures with him. He wasn't apart of an exhibit. He was walking around sumeru city to try and find a quiet place to study. His ears were starting to hurt from all of the chatter in the city.
He decided to go slightly outside of the city to get give his ears a break and to be able to study in peace. He found a quiet spot and a root sticking out the ground that was perfect for him to sit on. He still had that person following him. He's gotten used to their presence and the person never harmed him. He went on high alert however when he heard another person's foot steps. He looked around with a wary look. His ears sticking straight up.
The person walked over and seemed surprised to see someone else. Tighnari recognized them from some of his courses. (Name) was their name. They were just below him with their research. The two didn't interact much cause unlike others they didn't seek him out. "Oh I'm sorry Tighnari. I didn't know anyone else would be here. My apologies for interrupting you." They said softly. He looked surprised. The two have maybe shared one or two words max. They seemed rather polite
Tighnari noted their voice was quieter when speaking to him. He was a bit surprised by it if he was being honest. "Why are you apologizing? I don't own this space. From the looks of it to me you found this spot first." He said starting to get up. He got a good hour of studying and his ears stopped hurting. "Oh please don't get up if you're still studying. I can find somewhere else." They quickly said with a smile. He looked surprised because people would typically ask to study together. He gave a laugh thinking about it. Which made (Name) look at him with their admittedly pretty eyes.
"Sorry for laughing typically people ask to study with me whenever I am seen alone. It's refreshing to not have that happen. There's plenty of room for you to study here too." Tighnari said sitting back down. They seemed surprised but didn't refuse. Admittedly he didn't mind someone else he knew with the person that had been following him. (Name) just nodded and quietly sat on the ground by the root. Tighnari looked surprised but didn't say anything. The two studied in silence.
Tighnari rather liked it. As the silence was comfortable. Neither felt like they had to talk but could if they wanted. When they were both done they decided to walk to Lambad's and get some food together. The field of their research seemed to be the same. It was nice to get along so well with someone for him. The two became good friends after that day. They were even there when Tighnari's stalker had revealed themself. He watch them stand in front of him when general Mahamantra had revealed himself.
Tighnari was sure they were going to faint cause they had challenged the general Mahamantra to protect their friend. He found it cute how ready they were to protect him. He of course became friends with the general Mahamantra as well. He was under investigation due to his popularity among other scholars. He was glad when he was proven not to be a threat. The three ended up with a good relationship.
Cyno swore the two were always together since they met and studied together. Tighnari hated he was right because he was falling in love with them. Then he realized he had no clue about their stance on soulmates. He was so screwed he had to just go and ignore it for so many years that he forgot about how others think about the marks. He felt so stupid for the first time of his life. They had just graduated and become forest watchers together. He needed to ask them about their thoughts on soulmates that would solve his problems.
Tighnari was about to go look for them then chickened out. He went to go find Cyno instead. He got a letter recently stated Cyno was going to come visit soon anyways. When he saw Cyno he was surprised to have been brought a young girl named Collei. (Name) was right there with him when Cyno arrived at Gandharva Ville with her. They tilted their head before giving her a smile and leaning down to her height. They introduced themself to her with a gentle and soft tone. While he found out why Cyno had brought there.
Tighnari gave a sigh there was no helping it now. He was one of few that could help with the young girl's disease. "Hey cyno before you go may I talk to you in private?" He asked. Cyno tilted his head slightly before agreeing. "Collei do you mind staying with (Name) for a bit while we talk?" Cyno asked. Collei looked at him hesitantly. "Collei how about we go make you something to eat? I'm sure you've had a long journey." They said with a comforting smile. Tighnari noticed their voice was a lot softer than it's usual. They tend to change the volume and tone depending who they were talking to.
He was so screwed. He walked off a bit with Cyno. "Is everything ok?" He asked getting straight to the point. Tighnari shook his head burying his face in his hands. "I'm in love with my other best friend help me." He said. Him and Cyno have talked about soulmates before while it was nice for him knowing someone our there was destined for him. He knew Tighnari's stance as well.
"Well have you talked to them about soulmates?" Cyno asked. Tighnari shook his head. "Then get their views on it then. Test the waters to see if they like you. It's possible both your soulmates are platonic. Giving up just because you acknowledge your feelings. It's not like you to just give up." Cyno stated. Tighnari nodded and they walked back.
Everytime Tighnari was close to asking them he chickened out. Then one day when they were eating together they asked him something strange. "Hey Tighnari do you have a soulmate? I'm curious cause I've never seen your mark and we've known each other for years." They asked. Their pretty eyes staring into his. Making his heart race. He was down bad for them. Collei and the other forest watchers have told him.
His tail typically sways slightly when talking with them. For the first time in a long time it stayed still. He wondered why (Name) asked that. "I do but I don't want the gods to decide who I should love. Why do you have one?" He answered. Tighnari quickly grabbed his tail to keep it from wagging at the thought of him finally getting his answer he waited for years for. They looked a bit sad. "Can I see your mark? I just want to see before I answer." They asked. He felt mix of emotions. On one hand it could mean they liked him and wanted to make sure. On the other it could mean they also had one and wanted to see if their's match. Which meant they did care about soulmates.
"So you care about soulmates and if your mark matches their's?" Tighnari asked his ears flattened against his head. He was about to stand up and excuse himself but they grabbed his hand before he could. "Not really I just care if it matches your's. Cause I like you a lot more than a friend way. I found the concept to be interesting but also impossible. I believe you should fall in love with someone for who they are and not because a mark destined you to be together. I mean you're perfect in my books but I value our friendship so much more than my feelings." They stated quickly. They didn't like the way his ears dropped as well as his tail. " I can show you mind first or we don't have to show each other at all. I've wanted to date you for awhile but what matters right now is how you feel."
Tighnari just went through a rollercoaster of emotions. He knew them for years. He decided to do something a bit rash in the moment. He kissed them. The surprised look when he pulled away made his ears perk up and his tail wag uncontrollably. "Well let's show our soulmate marks at the same time. Cause I'd rather not have the mark if you don't have the same one." He stated trying to distract from his tail.
The two rolled up their sleeves and saw the same fennec marks on each other. They smiled softly and shared another kiss. Before (Name) traced their hand over his lightning scars. "I really wish you didnt get struck." They said quietly. Until they heard someone clear their throat. "Glad you both finally got together but I need some help with the traveler and Paimon." Cyno said carrying the two who were knocked out.
Wander:
Scara had thought many things about the mortal concept of soulmates due to his previous incarnation. With all of his memories back he was thinking about the topics. Before the events during the furnace events he had thought it was beautiful. He couldn't believe he was naive enough to ask Niwa if he would have a soulmate one day. Then he found the thought as another pointless thing meant for mortals. It's a tragic thought being bound to another who will die and left all alone after they die. The moment he got a mark confused him to no ends. He was nothing but a discarded puppet.
The mark felt a mockery. How dare it show up? He doesn't have a soul nor a heart. Why does it give him a small amount of hope? It was of a doll. Will he have to suffer losing another. He didn't want to meet the person the gods supposed deemed his fated match. Relationships are transactional and he had no use for the human emotion of love. It was pointless he thought.
The mark would be ignore as the gods must've mad a mistake. He's a puppet without a soul. Years past since he got that mark and he was sure the person had died before he'd have any chance of making a mistake. Attachment were useless to him. Scara refused to be hurt again by the concept mortals inevitable fate. It had been awhile at least 100 years since the mark appeared and the concept became a useless mortal thing. He was only reminded with his other incarnations memories.
He was in sumeru wandering around. After all Buer kept him around for a reason and he wished to find out why. There is no reason for him to ponder mortal ideals and ambitions. Even if the gods didn't make a mistake his soulmate must be a human. Death for them would be inevitable. The gods sure were cruel. They'd cause harm and suffering to anything that walks apparently. His soulmate might as well live without him. There's nothing he could receive from them that would be worth his wild.
After all the thought of getting attached to another only for them to leave him left him with unpleasant thoughts. He remembers his past and didn't wish to repeat events. He has learned from past events. He didn't need others so long as he was useful to Buer and she was useful to him. As the wander walked he ran into something or a someone. He glared at the person. "Watch where you are going. You could hurt someone." The person stated standing up and dusting themself off.
They gave him a raised eye brow. "You going to just gawk or are you going to at least apologize?" They asked crossing their arms looking at him. Little did scara know that was the first encounter of many he'd have with them. They were different than most humans. In ways their kindness reminded him of Niwa. Their sass however reminded him of Yae. It was infuriating for him. In the end he had started seeking out their presence. He enjoyed their company. It he ended up spouting an insult they would come back with something witty and clever.
Scara would never admit it to their face but their eyes shined so much. He felt enchanted by them. If he seemed upset they'd offer a hug. The warmth of their touch felt as electrifying as when he wielded the power of electro. It was foreign yet he was addicted to the touch. He loved holding their hand. He remembered the story his friend told him. He quickly shook his head. He was a heartless puppet that was discarded by his creator.
At first it was fine but then scara felt they had gotten too close. He started to pull away once they started getting close enough for physical contact. When he'd usually seek them out he had to avoid them. They consumed his thoughts and it scared him to think about losing them. (Name) started pulling away because of his actions. He became desperate for their attention. The next time he sought them out he grabbed their hand. "Is our relationship a game to you?" They asked looking at him with their pretty eyes.
The words scara wished to say were on the tip of his tongue but his pride was preventing him. "I enjoyed being around you and kept trying to learn more about you then when I think we are getting closer you avoid me. That hurts a lot and I am not putting up with it. Make up what you want and don't treat me this way if you want me to be friends with you." They stated seeming upset. Scara's grip tightened ever so slightly not wanting them to pull away. "Want me to apologize? Fine I will but don't leave." The desire to keep them in his life won over his pride. His voice sounded broken at the end. Which had them looking at him waiting for him to continue.
While his hand was on their wrist he noticed some lines. They had a soulmate it made him upset thinking about it. He wasn't sure why the concept was pointless. He didn't have a heart nor a soul. Yet the idea of them being with someone that isn't him burned. "I was caught up in my own head. I can't loose you so please don't go." Scara muttered under his breath. He heard them sigh. "This was your one warning do it again and I'm leaving. Our friendship will be over." They stated.
Scara's eyes lit up and he covered his face with his hat. His face felt warm for some reason it annoyed him a bit to think about. He started wondering if he was malfunctioning in someway or another. All this for a stupid human. He would've scoffed at himself in the past. Perhaps it was alright ti indulge himself this once. "Is that a soulmate mark on your art or a tattoo?" He asked the question was burning something in him and he hated it.
"Oh it's a soulmate mark. Though the person is probably dead." They answered seeming surprised. They lifted their sleeve up and showed it to him. Scara's eyes went wide. His mind filled with questions. They should not have a mark matching his. That was a hundred years ago and this person barely looked like a young adult. He needed to get to the bottom of things. Perhaps they had been keeping secrets from him. Not that he could say much has he had kept his own like him being a puppet.
"What do you mean the person is probably dead?" He questioned them. His eyes focused intensely on their own. He always adored their eye color. If he was being honest to himself they were bad for his existence. Making him experience things like love and longing like mortals do.
These were feelings he long forgotten about. Bringing back the reasons his mother abandoned him for. He wanted to hate them but couldn't bring himself to it. He noticed them look around as if making sure no one was around. They leaned close to his ear. "I might not be a mortal." They whispered. Before they pulled their arm out of his grasp. They bid him farewell before walking off.
Scara was left standing there to ponder. What they meant. Not being mortal could've meant a lot of things. If only they knew what they did to him. The words they said to him made it feel like things were crashing down around him. So many truths he had learned were just shattered. He rushed to see buer and ask her about (Name). He had to confirm things before they met again. He didn't wish to have hopes crushed again.
If what they said was true it meant even he a puppet made by a God can have a soul. They made him feel like he has a purposed beyond just wandering around. He thought he gained so much with his vision but now he is finding put he could love. He was fated for someone else and most of all they were like mortals. He wouldn't be alone any longer. They were created by someone named gold.
Scara rushed to their house. When they opened the door he looked at them. "We need to talk." He said. They let him in and sat on their couch by him. "Your soulmate isn't dead. Before you ask I know because I'm your soulmate. I found the mortal concept was dumb but not with you. " scara stated rendering his beloved silent. Their eyes wide. "I'm not human either. I'd love for you to become my beloved?" He asked holding their hand. The two shared a short but sweet kiss. Perhaps scara can accept sweet things if they are like this.

His childhood friend
|Hello everyone who sees this. I'm finally back kinda my writings this is not the work in progress I mentioned before that one is still a wip. I will still be slow but that's no surprise to those who follow me. This will be a childhood friends au. The reader isn't the traveler. Anyways feel free to change the pronouns to fit your own. Please enjoy and have a wonderful day or night.
Scenario: He was typically alone in his youth very few he'd actually call friends. Though you were always there beside him. If anyone dared to say anything bad about him with you around you'd always come to defend him. He didnt care what was said about him but knowing you were there was endearing to him. As you both grew up he developed a bit of a crush on you. How could he not become enamored by you after all you were always there when he needed someone.
Alhaitham x A Male Reader
Warnings: Mentions of bullying, alcohol and being drunk in Alhaitham's, minor angst ending with comfort, some big and small spoilers for archon quests as well as character stories, and long|
Alhaitham:
It's not a surprise to many people to know the scribe wasn't liked by many people. He knew this as well and chose willingly to ignore the comments said behind his back. His senior Kaveh only seemed to add to them but he knew Kaveh wasnt a bad person. While he wasn't liked by many of his peers it didn't bother him much.
He didn't care about their opinions as they didn't matter much to him. Though he'd be lying if he said no one's opinions mattered to him. His long time friend's opinions mattered. More than he'd ever be willingly to admit out loud. They grew up together after all not many could blame his thoughts even if they did seem irrational. It seemed he wasn't the only person that had his eyes on this person. (Name) were objectively attractive and super kind.
He remembers fondly when they had met as he traversed home. The two met because (Name)'s parents were good friends with his grandmother. His grandmother was asked to watch the other for his parents who went on an expedition to the desert. The other wasn't considered a genius by the Akademiya standards unlike himself.
Though their differences in intelligence didn't seem to deter his dear (Name). In fact it seemed he wanted to be Alhaitham's friend even more due to that fact. He wanted to be there to support him or talk if needed. He knew the pressure put on those considered geniuses by the Akademiya. He would constantly ask what Alhaitham was reading and read it too. It'd take him more time to read the book but he was always excited to hear what scribe had thought.
He had a knack for caring for others. (Name) was gentle and caring. Whenever someone got injured hed tend to them best to his ablitlies. Alhaitham remembers back to his akademiya days where (eye colored) male would tend to Kaveh when his senior would get injured.
There were also others who'd intentionally fall in front of him to get his care. He was wildly popular kind of like Tighnari. The abount of people who would do things to get (Name)'s attention. The scribe sometimes wished he was clumsy to be treated by his best friend like others. Whenever he was sick the other would dote on him and he did enjoy it.
Whenever he was sick Alhaitham could feel his gentle hands check his temperatures. He both hated and loved being sick. On one hand he'd receive all of (Name)'s attention but on the other he'd feel awful. It wasn't like he was sick often. He took very good care of himself.
During his time in the akademiya the other could tell when he wasn't interested in interacting with others. (Name) would take any attention off of the scribe and put it on himself. That way Alhaitham could read in peace. It was nice to know someone cared about when he didn't wish to socialize.
The memories soon became a bit bitter for the scribe. His dear friend had been away in another nation for what felt like a long time. (Name) was an amurta scholar that left a year ago to learn about plans in Mondstadt. He only knew the other left when a letter arrived at his desk. During the time he was unable to leave while dealing with the grand sage situation.
Once it was resolved he still had to deal with being the acting grand sage. Which meant he had to deal with the hive mind situation. Not once did he get another letter. His roommate had made some comments about him being more irritated than normal. He brushed off what Kaveh had said of course. Though the architect was the only person who knew of his best friend. His words did have some merits to them.
Alhaitham was typically supportive of the other's academic endeavors however he left without a word in person this time. It hurt him quite a bit but none could tell. Things had finally calmed down for him and as irrational as it was he was super tempted to take a leave of absence and make the pointless travel to Mondstadt. He'd rather do nothing at all if he takes a leave of absence.
It was driving him mad not being able to see him for long. Alhaitham was used to seeing him at least once a day every day. Now it's been a year. The only thing he's gotten from the other was a gift that arrived on his birthday. Thinking on everything made his mood sour a bit.
The dendro user never thought someone could effect him to the point others notice a shift in his attitude. Which he was wrong about both Cyno and Tighnari had told him he seemed longing for something or rather someone. He rolled his eyes remembering the phrases they used. He turned his music up not wanting to hear anything around him.
Alhaitham's thoughts had become too disorganized for his preference. He brought out the book he'd be reading. He still paid attention to his surroundings effortlessly avoiding bumping into anyone or anything. He started to sort through his thoughts. Then something Kaveh had once mentioned became the loudest. "You know if you had just confessed your love he may have never left." Repeating itself in his mind.
(Name) certainly didn't expect to run into Kaveh when he returned to Sumeru. The young male couldn't say he was angry to run into the blond. His eyes quickly looked over the other. "You seem to be same as ever Kaveh. Why are you mopping around this time?" He asked with a smile. There were several comments about him being handsome and shining by those around them. He ignored everyone else and focused on the blond.
Kaveh's crimson eyes widened and he quickly rubbed them as if the person in front of him was an illusion. "You're finally back! Maybe now Alhaitham will finally get off my back a bit. You know since you left he's colder than ever. Not to mention the way you left him without a proper farewell had made his fuse so short. You really couldve parted in a better way. I heard he'd reject several thesis essays for minor errors the week you left." He quickly scolded forgetting about his previous stupor and worries.
The amurta scholar frowned and stepped closer. He pinched the others cheek slightly for talking poorly about his best friend. He always hated others speaking badly of Alhaitham even if the scribe could care less. "You need to stop being so hard on him. I swear your both like fire and ice sometimes. Yet both of you haven't convinced me you actually hate the other. You can't convince you both dont care. After all you both know too much about the others behaviors and moods. However since this past year has clearly been so hard on you how about I treat you to a meal at lambads? Then after I can walk you home and pay him a visit? I got him when i was leaving Mondstadt." He said patting his bag
Kaveh huffed at them a bit. "I keep telling you he's the worst but you never listen. You think that someone who has as much attention as Tighnari you'd find someone else to spend your time with. You know there are several people who requested me to give you their love letters. They all seemed to disappear before I could send them to you." He said rubbing his cheek. The two started walking to the tavern. Their conversations were pleasant and catching up on the past year. Several more passersby comments were made about the amurta scholar.
(Name) was used to hearing them and simply ignored them all. They've followed him since he was a child. They only bothered him when people would comment about Alhaitham. He remembered hearing several people making comments about him and (Name) got in a lot of arguments defending him constantly.
People would say that Alhaitham didnt care about him and that He didn't care and would continue doing it until his final breath. It's not his fault that people couldn't see the good traits of the tall scribe. He would argue with anyone who claimed that. They didn't know him and would just make assumptions about it.
During their outing at the tavern ended with Kaveh becoming intoxicated from the amount of drinks he had. Some wondered if they should contact Alhaitham to come collect him. (Name) reassured them he'd take the architect home amd there was no need to bother anyone else. He dragged Kaveh to the residence he lived in with the srcibe. "Kaveh please tell me you have your key." He said worried Alhaitham may have once again taken it by mistake.
Kaveh in his intoxicated state checked for his keys and realized he had them for once. He also reminded the other that he can't tell anyone of his living arrangements. He handed the amurta scholar his key not trusting his own coordination. (Name) was definitely surprised that the blond had remembered his keys. He unlocked the door and helped the older male inside. His eyes met with duel covered ones.
To most the eyes would seem uncaring as usual but there was definitely shock in them. He gave a smile to the scribe. "So you finally decide to come back and choose to dump a drunk Kaveh on me." The sliver haired male stated. The scribe had a bitterness in his tone. Which earned a laugh from the amurta scholar. "I plan on staying for a bit to catch up with you unless I'm no longer welcome here. If that's the case then I'll put kaveh in his room and leave." (Name) teased. He knew Alhaitham was upset with him but there was no hate in his tone.
Alhaitham admittedly got a little jealous watching the other carry Kaveh. The lighting in the house made him look perfect. The blond's arm around his neck and his arm around the other's waist. "Do as you wish. I know trying to convince you otherwise is pointless. After all you always do what you want. Just like all of those pointless fights you got into on my behalf. There is always the example of you leaving out of the blue despite promises we made." The silver haired male said looking up at the other holding his drunk roommate. There was definitely bitterness in his tone.
"Those fights were not pointless. They dared to slander you." He said. (Name) frowned he knew what the other had been talking about. When they were in their teen years he promised Alhaitham he'd always be by his side.
Alhaitham had graduated and their schedules grew hectic. They saw each other less and less especially while (Name) was working on getting through his studies. Alhaitham had made a comment about how maybe it'd be better if they stopped hanging out for a bit just like others had mentioned. Which seemed to upset the other who vowed that no matter what he'd stay by Alhaitham's side.
Even if it meant doing his assignments in the archive or next to him reading. He refused to give up on their friendship which admittedly warmed the scribes heart. There were a few occasions where the amurta student had fallen asleep when they were reading together due to pulling an all nighter to spend some more time with Alhaitham. (Name) promised he'd always be there for the scribe nothing would stop him.
He gave a sigh remembering the promise before taking Kaveh to his room so they could talk in private without Kaveh sulking over clients he's been dealing with. His guilt for his actions came up as they clearly effected his friend. He shook it off a bit then came back to the living room and noticed his long time friend had already marked his place in his book and closed it.
The silver haired male had his arms crossed seeing the other return. The look in his eyes was hard to read but if (Name) had to make a guess it would be anger and hurt. The room was silent and the mood was suffocating. The lights in the room suddenly became super interesting. Guilt building even more.
"Do you hate me for breaking our promise and leaving Sumeru?" He asked remaining standing. If the other said yes to his question he'd probably rush out knowing he messed up everything. He didn't want to sit anywhere near the other because he was understandably upset with him. "Without saying a proper farewell." The silver haired male added avoiding the question intentionally.
His duel colored eyes watching the other intensely as if waiting for something to happen. There was no sign of him going to respond to the other's question. Those multicolored eyes showing several emotions. Making guilt grow more. (Name) feared that his actions were mistakes.
"I couldn't say by to your face as I would've lost all will to go to Mondstadt. I thought of telling you in person but everytime I felt sick trying to think of the words to say. I needed to do it. I can't blame you if you now hate me or are upset with me. It's super hard for me to say no to you all it would take would be one word from you and my resolve would crumble in your hands. I know that doesn't excuse my actions and you deserve to have been........" as the amurta scholar started rambling he looked away from the other not able to keep eye contact anymore. His tone quiet and sad.
He skidishly made his way closer to the nearest wall. He leaned against it. He knew that he had no right feeling saddened bringing this up. If (Name) was being honest he may have avoided Alhaitham for a bit longer had he not ran into Kaveh. He looked at the entrance wondering if Alhaitham was going to be critical of his reasonings. He completely lost all the confidence he had when he brought Kaveh home.
Alhaitham stood up and walked over to the other. His body was reacting instinctually. He let it too. He felt as though his dear friend would run off the moment he said much. So just as his long time friend was about to continue his ramblings he caged the other between himself and the wall with arms to both sides of his head.
"Stop rambling and get to your point. What was so important exactly that you left for a year? Not only that but instead of telling me in person you choose to just leave a letter on my desk." He said pressing his body against the other's. His eyes met (eye colored) eyes. He was trying to get a read on the other's thoughts but the other was avoiding his stare. He placed one of his hands on the amurta scholars chin and forced him to look at him.
(Name) had no choice but to look into the duel colored eyed man. His heart was pounding in his chest he was worried at their proximity the scribe would feel it. "I wanted to look into something. It didn't have to be Mondstadt persay. Any other nation was fine. Mondstadt is just the one that was approved first so I went there. I was confused on a lot and needed to clear my head. I needed time to think things out. I sorted things out which is why I have returned." He answered still trying to look away to no avail. The scribe's hand keeping his face in place.
"You failed to take my feelings into account with all this. I would've been happy to aid you with what confused you. After all problems have multiple solutions. You never had a problem with me looking over things before or helping you talk through a problem before. Did you actually listen to what others said?" Alhaitham's voice started becoming quiet. His heart was heavy. His hand holding the other's chin fell to his side. He may needed to step away.
"Was leaving really necessary? It hurt that I meant so little that you couldn't tell me farewell in person. I found out after you already left that you were gone. Others had known about you leaving. You told Kaveh in person yet all I got was a letter only. Typically I take promises with a grain of salt. I thought your's meant something as youre not like everyone else." Alhaitham pressed looking at the other. He noticed their face had become red. He figured they must've drank a few drinks with Kaveh. The alchohol must've finally reacted in the amurta scholar's system.
Alhaitham's other arm dropped realizing this fact. He felt heart broken that (Name) couldn't have this conversation sober. His mind was racing with confusion and sadness. Maybe he should stop this conversation cause it seemed to hurt him more than the other leaving him.
He didn't wish to but pulled away. Here he was thinking irrationally again. Bothered about what others have said about their relationship. He was about to walk off but felt a hand around his wrist as if the other knew he was going walk off and not see him for awhile. His normally stoic expression changed for a moment. It revealed his frustration and anger about the situation at hand. "Let go of my wrist (Name). I dont want to talk anymore." He said. There wasnt enough will in him to pull his arm away forcefully.
"You were the one that was confusing me. Alhaitham it was never that you meant so little to me. You mean too much to me. If I saw you I wouldn't have been able to sorted things out and would've gave up on the entire thing. I've always been by your side and I wish to continue that. Which made it hard for me to figure out how or when my feelings towards you shifted from romantic. If it was a problem you could've solved I would've ran to you." (Name) admitted he held on to the other's wrist a bit tigher. As if letting go would cause the silver haired male to disappear from his sight. He was aware of his grip to not hurt the scribe's hand.
The guilt hit (Name) full force. His eyes started watering at the realization of what he did. However he refused to let go. He knew he should and everything he did was cruel and unfair to his dear akademiya genius.
The amurta scholar was super red and looking away trying to hide it along with his eyes. The room had become a suffocating silence again. The scribe looking at him with wide eyes. "How much did you end up drinking with Kaveh? It this some kind of joke you planned. After all you sound illogical. Leaving me to sort that out. What kind of answer did you come to? That you don't need to be by my side anymore? You get attention from everyone around no matter where you go. Why would I matter?" He said running his free hand through his hair.
Alhaitham was surprised his response made the other look at him finally. He saw the tears forming and got upset at himself. He shouldn't have lashed out like that. "I'm perfectly sober Alhaitham. I made sure I would be. I planned on bringing Kaveh home after I ran into him because it'd force me to come talk with you instead of being a coward and running away. After all confessing that I'm in love with you may make you hate me. Being away from you after years of seeing you all the time sucked." (Name) said.
He got a determined look before placing Alhaitham's hand he held hostage above his heart so the other could feel his heart racing. "Please answer my question. Did leaving make you hate me?" He pleaded refusing to feel sorry for himself as he was the one that did this and hurt his best friend. "I messed up and hurt you. If you do please tell me if I can make it up to you. Even if you don't return my feelings I don't want to lose you."
Alhaitham looked at him with wide eyes. He felt the racing heart beat his movements and speech were too clear for him to be drunk. "I do hate you for leaving me because I fell in love with you so many years ago. You make me think irrationally at times. However I can forgive you is you never do that to me again." He said before placing his free hand on the other's face. He gently wiped the tears away.
The amurta scholar tried pushing his hand away. "No I was the one who messed up and hurt you don't comfort me." He whined avoiding eye contact once again. "Then agree to be mine and never leave my side again and we can move past this. I need verbal confirmation." Alhaitham said pressing his forehead against the other's.
"I will always be yours. I'm sorry for everything this past year. I had got you something as well when I was in Mondstadt." (Name) stated. He opened his bag and brought out a neatly wrapped box. And a bottle of dandelion wine. Alhaitham took the items from his hands. He placed them on the table then leaned close kissing the other. "Stay the night." He said pulling away.
"It's so incredibly hard to say no to you." (Name) said pulling the scrib into a hug. The rest of the night went by as a blur. Alhaitham woke up the next day thinking it was a dream but felt something warm in his arms. He smiled faintly seeing his beloved (Name) asleep in his arms. He pulled them closer to his arms. There will be consequences if he tried another stunt he pulled a year ago.
