4 minutes practically sets my Bad Ending alarm system on fire.
As much as I want to believe in parallel worlds and time travel, I think it's really all in Great's head.
Great is someone emotional, compassionate. Not someone who could stand to see someone die or get hurt in front of him. Not someone who can deal with the abyss of the family business.
His "time jumps" are not only triggered by deaths, but by situations that one wishes had gone differently (see, argument with Thyme)
While he is coding, his subconscious may be trying to show him the ideal world he could have had.
But the fact is, there are no "time jumps", no real change in reality. It's just a dream and wishful thinking.
Dome's death makes this very clear to me: Great intervened and saved his life. In the fictional, improved world, Dome survived, was in hospital and got better, but as soon as he met reality, namely Tongkla, he disappeared.
Because he was just part of a hope to change things.
I think they could be heading for a finale where it becomes clear that all the changes Great made are ineffective. That in the end they were wishful thinking but could never affect reality.
It just feels like the story was destined to be a tragedy from the start.
That even all the hopeful "what if?" decisions can't improve anything, because Great has already lived this life.
He can't change the future, because the future already happened.

I haven’t had motivation to draw 😔
But it literally being 3:29am and me finally finished my murder drones oc that took over a week, I learned how to “art” for the 17th time! ^^
(She constantly has to deal with reboots, also her right wing is broken, along with her tail, im just gonna put the original idea for her under this)
Also, yes, her original name was Zee, but I kept getting it confused with V, so I changed it

Sigh I swear the bar is so low with writing sometimes.
I’ve just been remembering how much it bothers me when there’s no lasting consequences or acknowledgement for things. When everything resets like nothing ever happened at the start of the next episode, or even the next scene sometimes. How cool and rare it was that Wally’s arm was in a cast for a whole 5 episodes of Young Justice. How relieved/excited I was when Mulder actually still had bandages on his fingers the episode after he broke them because FINALLY something carried over! Or when Hook was leaning on someone for support in the background after the fight scene in Pan. How impressed I was to see Katniss still crying hysterically for Rue a few scenes after her death. How surprised I was to actually see a hint of the effect of Echo’s extremely traumatic experience when he panicked in the medbay. How my heart soared when he insisted on rescuing Gregor because omg he’s acting in a way that makes sense for his character! Clinging to every small scrap we get to see of clones showing real emotion when so often they seemingly never bat an eye at their losses and never mention their fallen brothers again.
I love these shows I swear, but it just gets so frustrating! Like I’ll literally be so nervous no one will be affected realistically, or react like a human, or behave in-character and then I get so excited on the rare occasions they do. And then I realize wow the bar is so low, shouldn't that just be, you know, writing 101?
Like I remember some episode of some show (the Seeker? Or something idk) where a character was captured and tortured and not ten minutes after being rescued his friend was like “hmm you sure are quiet today” like YEAH I SURE HOPE HE IS?!

One of my shin soukoku reunion theories (delusions) is Fukuchi telling Akutagawa to attack Atsushi, and he does. He jumps on him, and Atsushi isn't putting up a fight, and Akutagawa's going to bite his neck, and then...! He stops, fangs just inches away from Atsushi's neck, and asks, "Why didn't you fight back?" And Atsushi smiles and responds, "I trust you."
This scenario lives in my head rent free
HOW TO GIVE ME AN HEART ATTACK VIA ASK A GUIDE BY OP
No seriously, your mind, this is amazing and the best concept ever and the perfect scenario and I'm fully ditching canon in favour of this. The Atsushi growth it expresses I'm on the floor screaming!!!! The oh so needed character development, Atsushi truly starting to trust Akutagawa the same way has Akutagawa trusted him!!! Consolidating Atsushi's act of faith of chapter 87 instead of erasing his development! Atsushi's growth in finally letting go of the prejudices he holds against Akutagawa! Them being the perfect team Dazai always knew they would have become. I'm sobbing. Op I trust you to handle the characters more than author themselves
