also slight spoilers for dugganpool's comic run but jumping off my previous post we do not talk enough about wade's brand of loyalty. like what do you mean he cared so much about the people he once was friends with even though they didn't give a shit about him anymore that he lied and refused to disclose their hideout to hydra even though he was working with them. what do you mean he trusted so much in captain america that he did fucking anything steve asked of him without doubting his intentions. What Do You Mean he would go to the ends of the earth alone to fight for his family even though (especially because) it meant being away from them. what do you mean. what do you mean. WHAT DO YOU MEAN!!!!!!

and i say jumping off my previous post even thought it seemingly has nothing to do with this bc it was just about me liking all the people wade likes but lowkey that is The Point. because yes wade is inherently trusting and inherently loyal but that part of him is also fed by the fact that people simply do not stay. they either hate him right off the bat or they hang around and leave eventually. and so when people actually like him he will literally do anything for them. do you see. yeah it's easy to say wade likes everyone (he does) but he also has a moral compass and he is not stupid. there are those he likes at face value and those he Likes. and if he Likes you that means you have done something right by him. and one thing about him is that when he reaches that point of liking someone to the level of devotion there is no getting that back no matter what you do. you can leave him after or betray him or treat him like shit and you will still mean the fucking world to him!!!!!! shiklah left him without a word for someone else and decades later he still carried her shrunken casket right next to his heart!! he saved the world for vanessa even though he knew she might not take him back regardless!!!! he carries the hurt of people's betrayals around with him FOREVER!! FUCK!!!!!!!
