we had this one person in our discord who told us there's a pokemon fake card contest on 4chan. two from our discord actually even posted a card for it and salty 4channers immediately hated on them for being redditors (we don't even have a subreddit smh). Not that I quite understand why people from our discord would even want to participate, the line "You don't have to credit the artist, your card would just look more "real" with it" coupled with the threads' starter/rule posts containing cards stolen from our server members feels to me reason enough to ignore this thing.

said person who originally informed us about the contest also was apparently very salty that the cards they made for a set they had been planning and posting cards for for a while wasn't gonna be counted for the event (since the goal was to create as many cards as possible in a given time frame and with their set cards it was unclear if they actually met that condition or not). I say "apparently" because they deleted their messages. from the responses that remain you can tell though that they felt personally targeted (even tho one staff member said they felt iffy about it, another said that it'd be okay. so basically they'd even got what they wanted if they didn't declare dropping out later).

yesterday they posted a wip card they were working on and were asking for feedback. later when the next event was announced, they declared they wouldn't participate in it bc the community is headed by an arse because of said argument (someone else also got quite a few cards disqualified bc their cards were incomplete but the edit for fixing this came 1 minute too late, so they cited that too. but that person still signed up for the new event and later wrote they had no hard feelings about it.) They left the server and on the forum they set their profile to private and deleted all of their other posts (on discord from what I can see they only deleted their posts in the finished cards channel, on other channels their messages are still visible).

so, today someone else in the discord chat wrote that they wanted to participate in the 4chan contest and wanted to learn a bit more about card faking first, but the contest is over now and voting has begun.

out of curiosity I searched for the contest and lo and behold, the starter post with the contest description has a finished version of that card wip from yesterday

tl;dr: 4chan dude came into our server to promote his card contest, had one (1) argument with a staff member, felt personally attacked and then left.

Not particularly, raising chickens is kind of a retirement hobby but it’s nothing weird

They don’t have time for hobbies really, work never stops and sometimes they just dissociate or sleep

Forgetting and moving on kind of, feels bad for not feeling really anything for their dead squadmates and seeing Anita again made them realize that oh fuck shit I have a family

He’s not gullible or too naive but he does like to believe the best of everyone, even people doing real bad things, having a gentle heart can be a hindrance in his line of work

11. Are they on a strict budget or are they impulse buyers?

The village handles itself with mainly trade and everyone looks after themselves, he gets what he needs and trades eggs or chicks for it, nothing too impulsive

They don’t use too much money on themselves, just food and utilities, Wendigo keeps them housed. Most of the money they get goes to the clinic.

He’s very sensible, no super strict budget but no spending either. As long as there’s a roof over his head and food on the table he’s okay - after retiring him and Marie go into horse business and they had a good nest egg to get that going

12. Would they do something morally wrong to save someone they care about?

Would avoid it to the end but if absolutely necessary in order to save a loved one he would, he lost one and is not losing another

Kinda similar, has seen too many good people die, if they need to saw off a limb to keep it off a loved one they will

He’s depressed and has PTSD from being widowed, physically he’s in good condition. A bit scarred, but healthy.

Missing one eye and has a chronic infection in the other making their vision quite blurry, about half deaf, beginnings of pulmonary fibrosis, persistent throat bug, bad sense of taste and smell thanks to the burning air and ash inhaled, PTSD, dissociating like half the time, memory issues... kind of a husk of what they used to be

Fit as a fiddle.

14. What is their worst habit?

Laying in bed denying the world for the entire day

Working too hard, please man you’re really sick you need to rest

Being too nice and spoiling his stepson who grew up to be a douche

15. Did they ever experience a major personalty shift, if so, what triggered it?

He’s always been more soft-spoken and gentler than his friends but getting his husband killed turned him from just quiet to really sad as well as quiet

They kinda forgot themselves in the war, deliberately dropped the first name too, doesn’t really have much of a personality anymore nor life outside of the clinic either. They’re just leftovers, really. Hardly an identity of their own.

Ewan has always been impeccably nice and polite, as an adult he can also take command but in the end he’s always been a good, proper fella.

20. Would you like your OCs to meet your friends’ OCs and do you think they’d get along?

I’m not sure they would too well. They uphold the law and your dudes do the opposite. Some kind of respect and understanding could be established (like between the assassins and antiassassins) but in general, avoid. Y’all better respect women. Also not fans of the thottery, excuse you their relationship is a closed triad and that’s how it’ll stay. If anything, Scott could get a sparring partner from someone, or a mortal enemy from Marcus
