It just hit me that Neil has been writing for a while now, so this means there are parts of the plot of S3 that already exist. Like there are all these new things becoming CANON and we have no idea what they are but they're written down somewhere and now I can't stop thinking about that o_o

Point of clarification: Aziraphale did know that Gabriel tried to kill him via hellfire because he isn't surprised when Crowley mentions it early on when arguing to not help Gabriel

He probably DOESN'T know how much of an absolute dick Gabriel was about it

Regarding Good Omens canon, do we actually know the order of Crowley's fall and the Great War?

My finally-useful religious upbringing tells me that on the one hand, the Great War happened before mortal time and was actually the trigger for Satan's legion of angels to be cast out and fall, when they lost. But on the other hand, I know many interpretations have the trigger for the war basically being God's creation of man and satan being a whiney bitch about it. The latter pretty much contradicting the idea that the war could happen before mortal time.

I know we have an indication that the war happened before Crowley's fall because he doesn't remember Furfur but that's not definitive and who's to say Hell can't also take your memories?

Anyway, if any of you have a good grasp of tv/book canon, would be useful to know what's established and what has wiggle room. Definitely not for fic writing purposes.

Not to be my usual bubble-bursting self, but we saw Crowley jumpstart a single nebula, not the Big Bang (the Big Bang didn't happen in Good Omens canon afaik). When telling him about Earth, Aziraphale says "when they roll out that section" gesturing somewhere else in the primordial ether. And we've seen Aziraphale say let there be light just to help Anathema, so that's also not indicative of anything either. Sorry, y'all.
