For some reason I've been thinking about late 60's cat!Mick. At that point I'm pretty sure he was living in a shed outside of his parents house but thats not nessicarily important rn. Anywho I'm imagining Mick and one of his brothers fighting, their clawing and hissing and attempting to bite each other. Micks mom (Tina) comes out, spray bottle in hand, and starts spraying them, yelling at them to break it up. Mick turns to his mom, and since he's still pissed he hisses at her by accident, and then it hits him, he just hissed at his mom. His ears almost immediately fold back in shame, and he's looking up at him mom almost pouting. Maybe he hugs her or starts apologizing...idk that's all my brains come up with.

i honestly like the idea of mick and his brothers having short fuses because of the cat genes so even a slight disagreement turns into a full brawl. the signs would be there though. maybe micks pupils start to contract in rage and he just starts hissing and that’s what starts the fight. they think the fight is just gonna be a little scrap to get their pent up feelings out and then move on, but one of their siblings (older, younger doesn’t matter) sees them going at it and snitches on them. cue momma deal rushing over with her spray bottle to break it up.

like he’s already a bit scuffed up from the fight, tail still puffed up and back arched. so when he feels something wet hit him, he’s automatically turning around and hissing at whoever’s spraying him. unfortunately it happens to be his mom��� and he’s all airplane eared and hissing at her. of course he immediately stops and stares at her wide eyed and remorseful. like you said, his ears are immediately folding in shame, tail de-puffing slowly. he starts apologizing profusely while his mom reminds them of what happens when they let their anger get the best of them. for the rest of the day, he just follows his mom around and meows pathetically. he’s quite literally latching onto her and cuddling close whenever she manages to sit down at the end of the day. of course, she forgives him (she did the moment he started apologizing). she just tries to remind him to be careful and control his impulses. the last thing she needs is to see him get hurt because he picked a fight with the wrong person.

anonnnnn this is so cute my heartttttt!!!! cat!mick hissing at him mom and immediately feeling remorseful about it… im sooooo emotional ughhh!! maybe this incident influences mick to move out of his parents shed cause he doesn’t want any more incidents like this one to happen again.
