My karma analysis and by analysis I mean saying what I see with pictures to help (and some theories.)

Here mizi says

"stop pretending to be righteous. Neither you nor I deserve to be saved" Mizi probably see's this as her survivor guilt and blaming luka for hyuna's death

Then there is a scene of the arguement seen in the teaser, I am not going to add a picture for this as I believe that not much is needed to say (unless somebody says otherwise lmao) One interesting thing though is sua stops mizi from kissing her.

Mizi takes the laptop from issac which has the missile launch controls on here, she clicks execute. Now I believe that it was supposed to be timed and mizi took the timer off to kill not only the segyien but herself and the rebellion. she holds the laptop close and they run to get it off of her as mizi just sits holding. Ready to die.

It then cuts to this which my first thought when watching it for the first time, and now for that matter is its relation to the true face comic, More specifically this "page"

"A bunch of idiots circling you at all times"

Everybody wants to see mizi happy, which is why the people in karma Immediately go up to her. They want her happy and that is it.

The episode then cuts to IvanTill HyunaLuka with hyunwoo and Mizisua but those are quite big so I probably will make analysis' for each of those!

"Hyuna I have something to confess. She was secretly rehearsing her death every night and I knew but pretended not to. Maybe I just wasn't as desperate for her. I know my love was different from yours. But it was love, too."

She thinks because she didn't step in and instead chose to pretend that her love for sua is invalid, Which isn't the case but mizi is presumably having a breakdown like saw in wiege (and this to, but wiege is older)

Sua rehearsed her death not only because that was something she was ready to do to keep her alive but also because her "mother" would most likely be disappointed if sues death wasn't grand.

"If you would have saw the look on her face too, you wouldn't be able to judge her"

More my god my universe stuff. Saying that if anybody would have saw Sua In mizi's eyes then they would fall for her the same way that she did.

The left screenshot is from karma, we see many things on mizi AND on sua, with the latter having a screen of sorts on her collarbone. My first thought went to robot sua from the artwork on the left but I am most likely wrong

The rocket is falling which will cause destruction across the stage. they then show all the characters EXCEPT luka for some reason or another, Perhaps because luka is the only one of them to not have a "provider" as he was grew in a lab (lab baby lukaa)

And then it has the best scene in all of alien stage that we have been waiting for since round one:

MIZISUA KISS, TAKE THAT MIZITILL SHIPPERS. THIS IS HER ONE LOVE AND YOU WILL NEVER SEE TILL LIKE THIS.

I'm gonna combine all of these into one because they are all related. Mizi is beaten up, Either by the rebellion trying to get the laptop back or luka in self defence. She holds onto till and a ghost of sua rests on her girlfriend trying to comfort her despite the kinda big situation.

In a zoomed in shot Till's earpiece glows red, He is alive.

She reaches and calls out for issac. she needs to save him, She thinks she has killed so many people and she can't let till be one of those. She grabs onto his shirt and begs him to save till.

It then flashes back to the scene where sua is watching and rehearsing her death. Mizi runs into her room and holds onto her, grappling her and never letting go. Keeping her god in arms reach.

Issac: "For humans... and for these beasts too innocence was a luxury they couldn't afford. In this endless suffering, to love and be loved. To hold onto hope for a day that may never come. Is that survival instincts, or selfishness. At the center of it all was a woman. A woman now called a witch, who was always searching for love. Can we really blame her for that? Where did this original sin begin? And in a trial with no clear answer, can these lives ever overcome it?"

I don't have much to say about this speech except that It is obviously about mizi. It cuts to mizi when it says "a woman now called a witch". Mizi is this so called witch for wanting a basic function of love? she wants to love and she wants to crush and as issac says can we really blame her?

Actually using the picture above it shows that luka is back as an idol and that the attack on the stage that happened seven years earlier by mizi was known as a tragedy. The korean on the middle image translates roughly to ALNST disaster seventh aniversary... where is the culprit. The segyien know that mizi is the culprit for this and that she is gone, with the rebellion or on her own we do not know however I hope it is the former and she is in a place where she can actually get better from the trauma she has induced time and time again

It cuts to a shot of a museum we see a headline for in the previous image. A museum of everything from that season of alien stage, from the collars to the microphones and even the dresses.

In this shot the middle shows two of tills guitars and lukas violin used in The final round. on the sides we see the main event so to speak: Dna mixes of the cast. On the left we see a Mix of mizi and ivan and on the right we see a mix of luka hyuna and sua as well as till mixed with somebody I don't know.

Till who we assume is now working for the rebellion has broken into the museum to save these children from there life in captivity, the only life they knew and the life he at one point knew. Till knows how these children must feel and doesn't want them to feel that way anymore, He wants them to be free and live a life that they can call theirs.

SUMMER BLOCK BUSTER/CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MOM

GOOD ASS INTRODUCTION!!!!!!!

i did find block buster to be a lot weaker than cloudy but U need to have a calm before a storm if u catch my drift. also i think this is the episode where the animation is at its weakest. it ramps up sooo fucking good in cloudy. but even then i thoroughly enjoyed it. it was so fun seeing everybody again My bebbies have returned to me...........

That one back and forth where candace steps in after and goes what if you built.. all of them. was so insanely weirdly paced and not funny to me the womp was giving johnny test whipcrack but lucky for me both bread bowl hot tub and the rest of the show get funnier as it goes on LOL

OH AND the scene in cloudy where candace is chasing down momcloud and trying to get through to her has such beautiful lighting and is so SWEEET THEY LOVE THEIR MOM SO MUCH. Also everybody teaming up to save her AND i got yuri pellets (wipes tear from eye) its so damn peak..

LOOK AT THIS MAN ITS SO FUCKING COOL ID EXPECT THIS FROM ONE OF THE MOVIES OR SOMETHING. Linda cloud holds that power over people.. This was genuinely like REALLY cool and exciting im really glad they went with a double episode high stakes adventure for the premiere because like. ive been hungry for some phineas and ferb 22 minute episode drama... its been too long.

ALSO the art in general just had some really cute moments too izzy looks so cute when shes serious. and candace hugging irving. vv first i loled then i serioused. i took a lot of screencaps so im gonna add them here as i go

I genuinely do not have much to say about these episodes for some reason despite how much i loved them. I love that Buford found a Thingy and he Loves it. buford hungry feed him onions and discarded blue couches. Everybody got their own moment here it ruled

The songs in both. summer is starting right now changed me on a molecular level when it dropped it was stuck in my head ALLLLLL DAY EVERY DAY.

I was in work making delisandwiches and in my head technically the first day of summers tomorrow but today is the last day of school. schooooooooooool....

The song of tyhe Summer is insanely cooked and flop i dont even remember how it goes but i guess you could say its meant to be generic so like. no thoughts here. MY RATINGS:

SUBMARINE SANDWICH SUBMARINE/LICENSE TO BUST

I GOT A LICENSE TO BUST FULL THROTTLE FULL THRUST GOT ,Y PEDAL TO THE METAL GONNA EAT MY DUST. Ok back to the first one

I was really really excited for submarine sandwich submarine for 1 entire day when they dropped the screenshot of isabella and buford standing next to eachother because i foolishly believed they would have the plot centered around them beefing which i live for if you know me at all. BUT!! Idk it was just kinda an episode.

It really felt like an s4 plot in the sense of a really hard reach for a big idea. Im telling you my bermuda triangle idea from my beach art wouldve been better But like this was the next best thing. it even had wacky sandcastles. Umm the jessimpsons predicted submarine sandwich submarine. The fish was ugly as hell

I can really tell which episodes i liked the most based on how many screenshots or clips i took and this ones an outlier because i found everything baljeet was doing in this episode to be mega cute.

look at him go............ hungry for a cheese and pummelled by olive...

LICENSE TO BUST was a lot of fun too im so proud of my sweet little candace for getting her drivers licensed when faced with the adversary of a balding man. the SONG made the episode for me she ate that shit up thats for later though

LAWRENCE NOT THINKING SHES GONNA PASS WAS SO FUNNY WHATS HIS PROBLEM.................. HAVE FAITH IN YOUR BEAUTIFUL BABY GIRL OK.. also the gecko gear was so cute i want it so bad... but i think id get stuck to myself and wither up like a sad little freak.

and ferb has literally perished.

I LOWKEY DID NOT EXPECT HER TO PASS I CANT EVEN LIE. The twist that mr. driving guy is also a candacetype is funny but does this mean she passed her test via bias. what does this mean for the future of danvilles road safety? We'll never know cause she goes right back to riding her bike in the episodes after this. (read like cinemasins please)

oh and also while im here. im usually an A-plot only andy so ill probably only talk about doof and perrys plot if its PARTICULARLY funny or engaging to me (no arguments against this this is my protest for every b plot guy that ignores a plots existence. we have to balance it out or we're all gonna die ok?) and this one was.

Hes literally so real ITS LEGAL ITS ENTRAPMENT. KILL YOU PERRY THE PLATYPUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE LIGHTS ARE GREEN !!! heinz is a good name for a boy or a girl. DOOF WAS ACTUALLY REALLY REALLY FUNNY IN THESE EPISODES i was worried considering how bad he got near the end with like owca files doof and mml doof but MAN I WAS WRONG. SO WRONG. HES FUNNY AGAIN!!!!! BUT ILL GET TO THOSE WHEN WE GET TO MY STANDOUTS LOL. MY RATINGS:

Submarine Sandwich Submarine: 7/10. Over-animated isabella and buford scene will feed me for the rest of my life, baljeet attacked by various foods. Song mid though it was like a worse version of the sea shanty hng song

License to Bust: 9/10 IT WAS REALLY GOOD AND HAD A GREAT SONG.. The callback to her parralel parking fiasco and the Shenanigans was sooo much fun. Now that im here doesnt the intro of license to bust also sound like fred vs fred. whos better at paintball whos better at pool. whos better at driving her car safely near a school. idk just workshopping it.

final assesment - were these episodes MADE for me?: license to bust maybe not but subsandsub was really fun and 24fps buford animation makes me feel seen. 1 out of 2 score.

DRY ANOTHER DAY/DECONSTRUCTING DOOF

UNFORTUNATELY. neither of these clicked with me very much........... DESPITE THIS. DECONSTRUCTING DOOF MAY HAVE ONE OF MY TOP 3 NEW SONGS. GOOD AS FUCK but dry another day is first so shhhhhhhhhhh

this episode we see a character made because they want to keep writing veronica hill from hng but theyre in different parts of danville so they got this new weird guy in. and also a really hot day episode where theyre all sitting under the tree im litrally ghostwriting this show

microorganisms. they need some wawer. baljeet get out of the sun. and the zebra is back. and he drinks boba.. Now i feel like hes part of the mortal realm hes real. and candace reacts with JOY when she speaks to him i thought she BEEFS WITH THIS ZEBRA. Something must have happened between them over the 9 months they mustve reached some kind of peace agreement.

i also really love this karmic cycle buford and baljeet have going on in this season where as soon as one of them gets a moment to gloat over the others misfortune they also immediately eat shit. It makes me laugh every time i was literally hoping so much their dynamic this season would be them breaking chairs over eachothers heads and i think my dream came true.. also what was with the ferbjeet crumbs in this one. (Pic of the riddler) what is he cooking.

SO CUTE... The song in this one didnt really stick out to me that much i couldnt remember it at all. this ones less of a s4 flop song and more of a HNG flop song which is a different ballpark entirely..

NOT MUCH TO SAY. IT WAS A FINE LITTLE JAUNT I HAD FUN WITH IT AND THATS WHAT MATTERS. Its definitely not a skip-on-rewatch episode but its not lifechanging either.

Deconstructing doof is one of the 3 only episodes that i felt some semblance of negativity over. It wasnt bad by any means the therapist going crazy over discovering the truth was a lot of fun and i did have a good time with the episode but like. idk. the leadup was great i just didnt really like the ending it soured it in my brain

the bits where hes investigating and piecing things together is really fun and i love when hes interviewing all the kids and pnfs family. and isabellas like Hes a Genius :-). buford pulls the Im not talking to any cops move. and baljeet performs the candace reddit psychoanalysis.

what makes me think this episode didnt really resonate with me is that. i usually take screenshots. i took ONE. In this ENTIRE EPISODE. i took ONE MEAGRE SCREENSHOT AND ITS THIS

that aside though the song may be in my top 3 s5 songs. i LOVE doo wop songs and omfg this one was so fun. another candace and doof duet.. WAITER WAITER ILL TAKE SECONDS.. THIRDS.. FOURTHS. WHEN HE GOES I THINK I HAVE A THEORYYYYYYY. he ate . and seeing norm and nessa hanging out with doof is so cute im so happy norm is like. Around.

i hope he gets a bigger part eventually but i take what i can get thats my special guy. THE ENTIRE ROLEPLAY PART WAS SO FUNNY. WHYD HE GIVE NORM PAPER JUST FOR HIM TO NOT SAY OR DO ANYTHING. EXIT STAGE LEFT

and the flying disco blimp sequence SO CUTE i rlly thought that was just gonna be its own episode. the song was GREAT and their little dancemoves were so cute i cry.....

DECONSTRUCTING DOOF: 8/10 despite my hangups i can tell this is gonna be considered a legendary episode and i love the song so i cant really complain. Its a great concept and i think they did it well theres just something rotten in my heart

TROPEY MCTROPEFACE/BIBLIO BLAST!

Remember when we thought this was gonna be a ferb centric episode. and it instead turned out to be a zoetrope centric episode. maybe theyre more similar than we thought.. just something to make you think haha....

ANYWAY. MAN THAT EPISODE WAS FUNNY. THERES SO MUCH FUCKING NONSENSE I DONT EVEN KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN... MICHAEL BUBBLE...... HES HERE.

Im not used to michael buble singing anything thats not a christmas song tbh but he kind of ate this This is one of the ones thats been stuck in my head since i watched it. Episodes like this that center on some random object and what it gets up to are some of my FAVOURITES and this ones no exception its so fucking funny.

something i, as local pnf tumblr buford guy would like to point out, is that biffany got a new voice and a new design. Im kinda sad she doesnt sound like she smokes 30 packs a day anymore because that was such a vibe but THIS IS SO MUCH BETTER. I WAS LAUGHING SO FUCKING HARD

Im so obsessed. i am also pretty happy that there is still no sign of anyone from bufords other side of the family so they didnt forget the lore tidbit that he comes from a broken home. The family get together from that one other pnf episode where all his family look like normal skinny background incidentals is so dead to me now. the drama.. the heartbreak.. michael bubble.. im so glad that tropey got to be with his beautiful ferris wheel wife and have triplets and the buford is a fat little hamster allegations are confirmed true. this was kinda the point in the season where i eralised hey isnt he like in this season a LOT. did they do it for me?

honest i dont even know what to say. its so serene its so beautiful. tropey has lived such a full and vast life. hes been through so much. im glad he finally gets to relax. At peace with the world......finally. Sorry to phinabella fans for this one though im keeping you in my thoughts

Again this is apparently the season of buford so we got him shitting on metamorphosis because edgar allen poe is his oshi or whatever which made me laugh a lot. ISABELLA DOING A BRITISH ACCENT WAS SO CUTE ALSO When she and buf banter it gives me life. yes it happens one other time this season its really great guys. things are looking up for me. ALSO DOOF WAS SO SO FUNNY IN THIS ONE. HEINZ HAS NO CLOROPHYLLLLLL UGHHHH THATS SO EMBARASSING FOR HIM. SO EMBARASSING.

The doof plants are really cute i like them id have one in my house but i guess id have to muzzle it but that feels inhumane. so i guess i have to let them live in the wild.. free.. like a bird.. if a bird was a plant.....

The song for this episode also has hng disease in that the vocal mixing is really strange. i had the same problem with strawberry festival im not sure why it happens it just isnt all that nice to listen to. the VISUALS were so cute tho theyre so cute... my little friends! MY RANKING:

A CHIP TO THE VET/MORE THAN JUST AN INTERN

this damn episode. Its so bad.

I cant even lie. I did not enjoy it. but it wasnt quite the worst episode so i guess it has that going for it.

The stakes of perry getting a chip were completely dumb and not good. i thought theyd realise the potential of this but perry gets out of getting a chip thru being a platypus and not cartoon hijinks sio basically im gonna die. i was left feeling desolate and alone after this flop and then carl shows up like an angel and brings me to a new beautiful world. thats what these 2 paired up means

the song was pretty decent i do love sophia james singing voice and her work on HNG were always the best songs so it obviously translates over. The littel dance bits with the animals are so cute phineas is literally so cockatiel coded its adorable. and i do love to see a fireside girl or two. believe it or not i genuinely took no pictures of these episodes on my first watch; chip because it sucked and i just wanted it to be over and more than just an intern because it was so damn good i didnt even think of it.

highlight of this episode was probably buford flirting with jeremy. this means he has a crush on both candace and jeremy. whats his play. what does he think hes doing.

let him keep it its cute. and isabella confirmed baldy. IM trying to avoid talking about the goat scream joke because it makes me want to throttle somebody just know it fucking sucks and i hate it. anyway The song guys :). i do really like im just gonna excema this room. i might say that one irl some day its real good. guys im just so apathetic to this episode. its not real...

MORE THAN JUST AN INTERN however is VERY MUCH REAL. ive really really wanted a carl episode for a long time cause hes one crazy son of a bitch. and it makes em wanna attack monogram. but i know some people genuinely hate monogram but i like how shitty he is because its funny LOL.. sorry carl......

i made a really bad joke to one of my friends when they were saying that doof always smelled like fish and i mean im not gonna disclose that here becuase this is a family friendly review but the connontations of this sentence tells you everything. and carl is canonically microchipped.. in case he gets lost... so sweet

THE RETURN OF THE CARL THE INTERN SONG WAS REALLY GREAT I WAS HAPPY WHEN I HERD IT. I do love a good callback and this one wasnt forced or nothing thats just his theme song. but NEW

i have an engineering degree..

IT WAS SO MUCH FUN TO SEE CARL GET SOME RECOGNITION FOR HIS INSANE FUCKED UP WORK ETHIC AND IT FELT SO GOOOOOD TO WATCH HIM BLOW UP AT MONOGRAM AND FOR HIM TO ACTUALLY LISTEN FOR ONCE. WOW.. THINGS ARE A CHANGING

the ending was genuinely really sweet and carl getting to be some sort of weird part of the Monogram family like he wanted to is really nice to see.. carl win.. your strange fixation on approval from your boss has become Something New. MY RANKINGS:

THE AURORA PERRY-ALIS/LORD OF THE FIRESIDES

made me scared. i have an irrational fear of when characters get shrunk down really small in cartoons and get eaten. i dont actually know if monty ate them but i saw enough and got scared and skipped like half the episode. Idk the context of the booger napkin and i never will journey to the center of candace finally has a 2nd episode to join it in my 'scared' tier in my pnf episode tier list.

OK ASIDE FROM THAT. I really liked it. seeing montnessa again and getting a reason for why they kinda fizzled out was great and i really hope they do more with their relationship. The scene with the aurora was BEAUTIFUL AND I LOVED THE LIGHTING and i quite liked the song it was niceys i just checked its sophia james again i shouldve known. ITS SO NICE

i could make them butchfemme. all hope is not lost. i can imagine anything.. and the sweet lil family moments with the flynn fletchers was awesome lawrence joining the conga line and getting rlly into it made me giggle. love you Bro

cause i missed half this episode due to getting scared we are just gonna go to lord of the firesides. IT HAD SO MUCH GOING FOR IT. AND THEN IT JUST FLOPPED RIGHT AT THE END

Gretchen declaring anarchy was so funny she was being such a little shithead. i like to think that shes just Like that sometimes even without a plot convenient inator because obviously girls would never fight like that on their own accord . ALSO ISABELLA SHOVING PNF OUT AND BEING LIKE YOU CANT SEE US LIKE THIS AHAHAHAHA

i LOOOOOOVED THE SONG IT WAS SUCH A SURPRISE and i love it when GIRLS kill eahcother but like i was genuinely really disappointed by this one. i thought it was gonna be something but it like was not. much.

THE CANDACE SUIT/AGENT T FOR TEEN

Well. we are finally here. im sure it is genuinely no surprise to anyone that the candace suit was my favourite episode of the entire batch and even made it to my top 5 pnf episodes ever. there was just so much good buford.

Why the FUCK did he show up in his garage in a purple velvet bathrobe smoking a pipe. whered he get that. they put bubbles in it but i wouldnt have even batted an eye if he was just like acutally smoking atp. IT WAS SO FUNNY. WHYS HE A CRIME BOSS

ladies. to what do i owe this pleasure. what the hell man i need to draw this fit. ALSO BALJEET BEING IN ON IT AND BEING PROUD OF THE FACT THAT THERES A FUCKING BALJEET HOMUNCULI TEA PARTY ROOM WHERE SOME OF THEM ARE SUSPENDED IN THE AIR BY CHAINS AND HANDCUFFS. ITS FUCKED UP WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO THEM. i love it. They couldnt have done better.

Ok jokes aside i LIKED the character of the haberdasher but the most impressive and interesting part of that episode to me was the damn robot spider he was in at the start.

i love that hes steampunky and i love his earnest enthusiasm. hes a fun guy. this black beret really slays . Mothman doof was awesome also im really sad the mothman song was seemingly scrapped becuase i loved it But like YAY AWESOME BUG MAN. The song that REPLACED THE moth man song..hoo boy. i have a hat for that was almost a good song but the pacing was just kind of off for me it felt like it was moving too fast and then would randomly slow down and then just kick off again and i was left afraid and alone.

Some predictions before The Gaslight District pilot goes live (I’m SO excited for it btw it looks gorgeous). Me and @star-owl9 noticed that the outline around Breadhead’s well, head, looked a bit off in the mugshot image. At first I thought it was a stylisation choice but then I saw that no one else had that so I came up with another idea. What if it’s a cover to make sure it doesn’t get devoured by the crows? I looked at all of the screenshots there are of him so far and they do NOT have that outline. There’s also visible scarring, something he does NOT have on the other stills of him (I checked to see if it was a picture crease but it’s not). So it’s likely that this mugshot is shown near the end of the episode.

And another thought I’ve had since I’ve seen the “Mel is the human that hatched from the previous egg” theories. What if Breadhead was the biological child and Mel was the one adopted into the family? It’s said that Ken ended up making Breadhead sentient on accident so maybe it was through blood that he was brought to life? It’s also not been specified who’s the older sibling out of the two since some stuff “needed to be kept secret before the pilot comes out”. That’s a weird thing to want to keep under wraps right? Age confirmations aren’t information that’s normally hidden for spoiler reasons (Gooseworx confirmed Pomni’s age MONTHS before the Digital Circus pilot dropped). But if Mel IS the previously hatched human (which would again make total sense considering she has the most human features out of anyone else in the main cast with little to no body horror features compared to Ken and Mud) then it’s likely that she’s the older sibling and Breadhead’s the younger one.

I thought I was overthinking this at first but I’m not. In the ARG website Glitch made prior to the pilot trailer dropping they specified that Mud was the oldest between him and Ken with little to no fanfare. THEN WHY THE HELL ARE THEY KEEPING THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MEL AND BREADHEAD UNDER WRAPS??? IM NOT LOSING IT PEOPLE IM TELLING YOU THERE’S A REASON THERE’S ALWAYS A REASON-

buckle up because this is gonna be a long response.

cake is one of, if not my favorite bfdi character, and he has been for a very long time. i saw a lot of myself in him and eventually started looking deeper into the details of his personality, his actions and his general character, and i realized, loser did not leave a positive impact on him in any way whatsoever.

let me explain.

at the start of bfb, everyone loves loser. cake included, obviously. cake ends up 'lucky' enough to be in a team with him, a team where everything everyone did always revolved around loser. loser was the 'driving force' behind his team, just to receive all the praise and love from his adoring fans. this, however, is as far as he would go in terms of forming bonds with his team.

at least, that was the case with everyone except for cake.

we know from an episode in bfb B that he wanted to keep that praise from his fans, and to have them never question his judgement or plans.

to keep his fans' trust and devotion towards him, he'd need to constantly present as likeable and friendly, and an easy way to do that is by forming a slightly deeper yet still extremely superficial relationship with one of his adoring fans, in this case, cake. that's when the nudging started. the nudging loser always did to cake whenever it was cake at stake. and of course cake was at first ecstatic to be noticed by his idol ! however, i believe cake was uncomfortable in regards to the joke being made.

you see, when leafy rejoins and gifts needle the 3d cake, you can see cake distraught at the sight of needle eating it, making it safe to assume cake heavily dislikes the visual or idea of cake being eaten, even if it's not sentient like he is. look at this screenshot from the sceen where he sees needle eat the cake

that is not the face of someone who's comfortable with jokes about his object being eaten

but he could never reveal that he was uncomfortable with a form of affection THE loser was giving him. not only would he look bad in front of his idol, but his team was so loser-centric that the slightest criticism would make them violent [for example, in bfb 1 when pin points out they should do the challenge instead of gushing about loser she THROWN INTO THE AIR BY FIREY]. so of course, he played along

and so, this continued on for the next few cake at stakes in bfb A. four or x would mention the safe contestants would get cake, loser nudged cake, cake blushed and gasped. and cake started to lean into the "loser's favorite" bit [take, for example, bfb 6 where he leans into loser after hearing bell bash into the basket they were hiding in], because he was trying to make sure even he believed that the shallow affection loser gave him held some sort of significance, and that pushing his own comfort away for the sake of looking good in front of loser [who was not only his idol, but an important figure amidst all the contestants] and his team was the right call.

but then came bfb 7, and loser was both hated and eliminated. so many people started revolting against him, surely cake can finally let that sealed-up frustration out right ? and so he shouts, "he's gone for a reason". what is he met with?

hostility.

cake, in an attempt to show his true feelings about loser, was immediately pushed down and reproached for it. so he continued to hold it in and when met with hostility, one is hostile in return, and so he starts expressing his frustration in some other ways. take bfb 13 for example, he starts arguing very loudly with eggy about who's "more spiritually connected to loser", which is a very abrupt and confusing shift from his usual polite, gentle self.

WHICH. THAT ARGUMENT BRINGS ME TO ANOTHER POINT. since he was "loser's designated favorite", someone claiming they were closer to loser probably felt so Wrong to him. HE was the one who kept getting nudged. HE was the one loser always addressed. HE was loser's favorite, even if he didn't particularly want that role. he kept up the act of "loser's favorite" long after his elimination, because what else was he supposed to do. that's all he was.

so, during the time between loser's elimination and the beginning of tpot, cake was more aggressive and rude, because it was his only method of releasing the frustration he was feeling. it was mainly towards loser and the general situation, but one could argue part of that frustration could've been towards himself.

anyways, we skip forwards to tpot. cake, despite his anger, still cares about his friendships, which is why in tpot 1, he's disheartened at the sight of having to choose between clock or eggy, two of his friends, and then being completely deserted by eggy.

however, he eventually joins just not, and you can see throughout his time in tpot prior to his elimination, he is visibly much happier than when he was part of the losers. i invite you to look up the "bfb but only when cake is on screen" and "tpot but only when cake is on screen" videos, and you WILL notice the increase in positive cake reactions and dialogues in tpot.

for my final argument, i present his elimination speech. i present to you the full transcript of his final words as a contestant in tpot 8:

he SPECIFICALLY mentions how he was so happy to not be playing for loser, but for himself. he was finally having fun, with a team that he loved and was loved by. if he truly enjoyed loser's presence and attention, if he truly enjoyed being his "favorite", he wouldn't have mentioned this at all.

so yeah. cake doesn't like loser, loser doesn't care about cake. if you dont agree with any of this and STILL think losercake is a good ship then please just block me. don't try to convince me to like losercake because i am not budging from my stance. as i stated before, i see a lot of myself in cake, and maybe this is all self-indulgent and projection and whatever, but it's how i see his character. and it makes me really sad that people call him bland or only see him as "loser's favorite" because he's so much more than that. i could go more in depth about his general character, but i was merely asked to explain why i dislike losercake. so here you go ! this is my reasoning. do with this what you will.

tldr; cake did not like being loser's 'favorite' and merely played along with loser's attention to not look bad in front of his idol and his fellow contestants. he was one of the contestants that talked bad about loser after his elimination in bfb 7, and pointed out how he was happy to play away from him in tpot 8. the fight cake had with eggy in bfb 13 about who was "more spiritually connected to loser" was his way of releasing his frustration, as he was reproached for speaking ill of loser back in bfb 7. he is not bland or one-dimensional, you just probably didnt pay enough attention to detail.

gen 2 starts this coming week!! so here are the last of my gen 1 screenshots that never made it to the blog with some added lore. i posted one of these a while back when percy was still a baby so im due for another lmao. enjoy!!

so because of my specific cocktail of npc generation mods, josie's coworkers were all just Basic Premades, like im pretty sure josie's coworker loadout was like... eloise, eric lewis, juniper grove (more on her in a bit), nina caliente, and of course 👹eliza pancakes👹 who was literally josie's nemesis for some reason. these two HATED each other and by the end of the generation they were throwing hands every day at work lmfao

some percy content!!! love him sm. also a better view of the shared office space that he and josie used for work + school. it was cute but a routing nightmare bc it was inside the shipping container on top of the trailer and they had to like. use a ladder to get up there

so because i Do Too Much, i ended up almost fully decorating both christopher And charlotte's teenage bedrooms, even though charlotte's would never show up and christopher's would only show up once or twice. they're both a little sparse in some parts but cute. this also reminds me that i need to furnish some kind of living situation for charlotte bc i forgot i left her at their parents' house at the start of gen 2 ggggggggggggggggg

something that really set the tone for the last bit of gen 1 was actually josie's very good friend and coworker juniper passing away. she was actually josie's first friend at the start of the generation, and was her only other friend outside of eloise and erwin (who she drifted from after percy was born). i wish i could've worked her passing into the posts but i was crunching time to finish up and move on :/

as a chestnut ridge premade i like to think josie knew her since she was young and she was one of her only connections back home or something like that, if i had to go back and rework the generation with what i know now i probably would've done that.

but yeah. the grief absolutely contributed to josie's moodiness at the end. :(

i'm a very gameplay driven person, where the natural gameplay informs what story gets told on here if that makes sense? i wasn't sure what my goal was with christopher and percy's online friendship while i played, but when percy was going through his particularly difficult depressive episode, he got a phone invite from christopher that inspired me to drive the story in the direction where they would meet irl!

also pictured: christopher getting a crush on percy the Second they met irl LMFAO. he's been simping since day 1.

it took percy a little longer to officially get the crush trigger. i feel like that aligns w their characters pretty well though

ah yes josie's Going Off The Rails arc. i always knew i was gonna do something with the plane bunker but it took me a while to decide what it was gonna be.

when she started her midlife crisis, one of the first goals was to stash money in a safe, which gave me the idea to utilize the bunker for a money stash. and then i realized that someone as paranoid (and honestly traumatized) as josie would probably have some secrets to hide, and so that's how the story that closed out gen 1 cooked itself up. the bunker was actually quite cool lmao, it was like a secret office and skilling zone for josie in addition to housing the alien portal and Mother Plant memorabilia.

if i was more dedicated/confident in storytelling i probably would've like. planned it a bit better LOL

anyway in sillier news. when i got the notification that marie would be passing away soon i ended up spending an entire afternoon taking pictures of her with josie and percy so i'd have them for posterity's sake. here's my Organization Process LMFAO

speaking of marie and also the generation finale. percy actually first started his evening exploring the bunker by lighting a candle for her which was very sweet. what was less sweet was Ghost Marie running in and interrupting my Story Telling Process. LMFAO

Sysmed Horribly Misunderstanding My Little Pony!

This is gonna be fun!

Let's see how this sysmed thinks the ponies would respond to endogenic systems!

And... right out of the gate, they've instantly torpedoed their own argument. It's almost impressive how quickly they managed that.

For anyone who hasn't watched My Little Pony, Pinkie Pie has an ability she calls the Pinkie Sense, where she will start twitching in ways that can predict the imminent future in some way, such as warning her about things falling or when there's a crocodile in the bathtub.

The first episode this appears in is Feeling Pinkie Keen which revolves around Twilight not believing in Pinkie's Pinkie Sense because it seems too farfetched. It challenges Twilight's understanding of how the world works so she rejects it outright!

One could draw parallels between Twilight's initial actions in this episode and system medicalism.

By the end of the episode, Twilight learns to accept that there are some things in the world that can be true even if she can't necessarily explain them.

Mentioning Pinkie Pie's Pinkie Sense only serves to highlight how Pinkie being anti-endo would make zero sense for her character.

I genuinely question your understanding of anything in the show if you think Fluttershy is going to take a "this group of people existing isn't nice" stance.

Like, this is the girl who befriended the embodiment of chaos.

But... you think she'd be so hateful as to say this about a group of people just because they're plural for reasons other than trauma? Really?

Why would Applejack reach this conclusion?

I mean, for starters, in-universe, the first episode has them fighting Nightmare Moon who is an alternate personality of Luna. Luna/Nightmare Moon could definitely be seen as a non-traumagenic system.

Or at least close enough that I can't imagine Applejack would have reason to doubt other non-traumagenic systems.

Even if you stripped that experience away from her though, Applejack would not be the type to doubt someone's personal experiences for no reason.

Additionally, we see in the Pinkie Sense episode that Applejack is one of the strongest believers in the Pinkie Sense, not needing to understand it to trust that it works.

Meanwhile, what do you think Applejack would think of sysmeds?

Because the entire sysmed philosophy is based on dishonesty. They will claim again and again that you need trauma to be plural. They will say it's scientifically impossible to be plural without trauma. That plurality can only be caused by disorders. But they have absolutely no sources for this claim, and THEY KNOW IT.

At best, they will try to overwhelm you with sources that don't back up their points at all. Usually, random articles saying DID is usually caused by trauma (not even saying "always") but won't address non-disordered plurality at all.

And most sysmeds respond to being corrected on facts not by acknowledging those corrections and accepting that they were wrong, but by BLOCKING the people who correct them. See the OP as an example, who falsely claimed "plural" was popularized on Tumblr, was corrected by a user, and subsequently blocked for it.

Applejack isn't just honest, but she's also pretty good at sniffing out dishonesty in others.

Do you honestly think Applejack would look at sysmed arguments and decide they were honestly representing their facts?

I don't have much to say about these beyond pointing out the overall theme of these screenshots which is that the OP isn't actually writing how the Mane Six would respond to endogenic systems, but is writing their own opinions on endogenic systems in the voices of the characters.

These characters, on the whole, are pretty accepting ponies.

Keep in mind, it took all of a few seconds in the Equestria Girls movie to convince the human versions of the characters that Twilight was actually from a magical pony dimension. To be fair, the talking dog helped. But overall, the ponies are all very open-minded and accepting of new idea.

This is pretty consistently shown throughout the series.

But by the end of the episode, Twilight learns her lesson and becomes more open-minded.

Even if we were dealing with Twilight before that episode though, Twilight has something anti-endos don't. Which is a brain.

First, if Twilight had access to studies on endogenic plurality and read the opinions on academic on the subject, like those in this document...

I think she would have no problem accepting endogenic plurality. I have no doubt that Twilight would read through every single academic paper in the doc, then track down all the sources for those papers and read them too.

But even if not for those studies, Twilight still wouldn't just disbelieve in endogenic systems the way sysmeds do.

See, even when Twilight was skeptical about something, when she was certain that Pinkie Pie was wrong, she didn't stop there. She wanted to prove that she was right. She conducted experiments. She observed her target closely.

A sysmed would just say that you're wrong, and try to shame you for your beliefs so that you would conform. But Twilight needed evidence.

She needed to prove to herself that it wasn't true.

If Twilight Sparkle wanted to prove that endogenic systems didn't exist, what do you think she would actually do?

Do you think she would be content to say this for certain without testing it?

Here's my take on it:

I think that Twilight would respond by trying to make a headmate herself. Provide her with a good tulpamancy guide, and I think she would experiment with herself, trying to make a tulpa just to prove it wouldn't work.

But remember that even that scenario... it assumes a world where Twilight hadn't encountered Nightmare Moon and Princess Luna, and wouldn't relate them to endogenic systems. It assumes a world where Twilight would have some sort of pre-existing bias against the possibility of non-traumagenic systems and have a false belief that all systems are caused by trauma. And it assumes a world where she also didn't have access to the research into non-traumagenic that would show her that this is something many reputable doctors have supported.

Remember, sysmeds have been provided links to academic papers affirming endogenic plurality's existence time and time again. They deny these studies and cling to willful ignorance out of sheer, irrational hatred.

Not one of the Mane Six would support the hate inherent in system medicalism. I frankly can't think of any characters in the show who would.

!!! CRK Episode 9 + 10 Spoilers!!!

So I usually don't rant about characters from media I enjoy because one: it's not really my thing. And two: I'm a bit too dumb to make some epic interpretation of a character in the same way many others can do that.

But I really wanna talk about Eternal Sugar Cookie because, next to Mystic Flour Cookie, she's probably one of my favorite Beasts. And that's because she genuinely impressed me as a villain, whose character is actually so much more complex than what she shows on the surface.

Eternal Sugar Cookie poises herself as this divine being who can bring happiness to all with just the snap of her finger. Her garden is an actual utopia where pain and suffering don't exist. She's kind to everyone in her garden, and even grants their wishes sometimes. Her ultimate goal is the happiness of all Cookies. This why I don't believe her intentions were fully malicious (at least, not when she first created the garden). However, they did end up becoming entirely selfish.

To put it bluntly, Eternal Sugar Cookie is a cult leader. She believes that she's the only person who can truly make everyone happy. This resulted in her garden becoming a cultish environment where people were required to depend on her for happiness and safety. If they ever fell out of line, or tried to leave, she'd punish/sabotage them in subtle ways so that they'd come crawling back to her. And in Sugarfly Cookie's case, she coated her wings with syrup to prevent her from flying away. She's actually a pretty good manipulator all things considered.

Now, onto her relationship with Hollyberry Cookie: this is also one of the reasons I was just impressed by Chapters 9 and 10 in general. So far, all the other Beast cookies either felt hatred or indifference to their other halves, with their main goal being to take back their soul jams. But Eternal Sugar Cookie is different in the sense that she actually really likes Hollyberry Cookie to a scarily obsessive degree. She doesn't just want Hollyberry's soul jam (she might not even want it at all), she wants Hollyberry, and she'll do anything she can to keep her. She even has a full mental breakdown when Hollyberry straight up tells her she's leaving.

This is where her true colors start to show, and this is also where I'm going to be posting more screenshots because I feel like they're needed.

Yeah, she's really not happy about Hollyberry leaving.

But even after Eternal Sugar is defeated, she pleads for Hollyberry Cookie to stay with her.

It's here that we start to see her confidence crumble (no pun intended), as she's forced to face the fact that what she's been doing might be wrong. But she can't actually accept that, and so she needs and begs Hollyberry to stay with her to that she can reassure herself that she's doing the right thing.

Yeah, not much to say on this one. It's just another example of her being self-centered and kinda arrogant.

Here's another detail about her that I found interesting:

She is completely delusional.

That was already kinda obvious at first, but hoo boy, the ending of Chapter 10 didn't even try to suggest otherwise.

After Eternal Sugar Cookie tries to sabotage Hollyberry one last time (by trying to drown everyone in jam), Hollyberry protects her. And instead of Eternal Sugar taking that as Hollyberry just being caring, she instead believes that Hollyberry changed her mind about leaving her. But after Hollyberry rejects that for the last time, she doesn't get mad. In fact, she becomes even more obsessed with Hollyberry.

Eternal Sugar gushes about Hollyberry to Pavlova about how kind Hollyberry is and how her heart is too soft for the cold reality of the outside world (girl be fr). And decides to decorate her garden so that she can impress Hollyberry. Because obviously she's gonna come back to her /s.

This is also where I realized that Eternal Sugar Cookie doesn't actually think of Hollyberry as an actual person. She's just another person that Eternal Sugar can make happy, and that one day, she'll realize how much she needs her. The only real difference is that Eternal Sugar idolizes Hollyberry because she's her other half.

I know that Eternal Sugar Cookie is supposed to represent the Light of Sloth. But she is clearly so much more than that. In the short and sillier way, she's like if an obsessive girlfriend started a cult. In the longer and more serious way, she's a manipulative, possessive, self-important person who believes that she can do no wrong. She obsesses over her other half and believes that one day, Hollyberry will come back to her and rely on her for true happiness. That also kinda ties into her self-importance and delusions. Also, her element being poison makes sense since she poisons minds lmao.

TLDR: I really like Eternal Sugar Cookie. S-tier villain in my book.

Was there a reason as to why you made krattastrophe?

Well im glad you asked....because i already told why i made it but im gonna tell the whole story..

In late 2022, i had this AU where chris turns into a villain (very original...) and...actually this is my first ever AU! And so i had this whole story that...i thought would be cool.

And then, i wrote my first wild kratts AU fanfiction and would post it on insta, i thought it'll be cool and epic...but from my lack of not knowing how to write or type a story, it just sounds really fucking corny

Here is a little screenshot of one of the fanfic, and...you can see the...unprofessionalism... also something to add, this part is the first part of the story, but it doesnt show it the comic.. but the explaination for this weird...typing, is because its not really meant to be taken seriously..

Okok...this is were the comic starts, so basically months later, i had this idea of turning my AU into a comic, and asked if anyones into the idea in my insta story, most said yes so i drew the first comic pages which you can see in the first part of episode 1. I drew this for fun though, but then..it turned into my passion project.

Until mid 2023, my passion project of making the comic feels just like a project, as people asked for more it felt like i had to do it, feeling like work than something i enjoy... and so i lost my passion and "cancelled" my comic, stopping at episode 2 where the scene of martin waking up from unconsciousness starts...

BUUTTTT....then...in early 2024, i reread my "cancelled" comic, and i suddenly had this feeling to continue the comic again, even though i cancelled it. But then i realized that i just needed a big break from making the comic from the constant demands, making my project feel like work than something im passionate about..and so i created more panels to continue the martin scene, uncancelling the comic once more.. and here i am! Still creating the comic for fun!!!!

The fanfiction and the comics story is VASTLY different, though similiar but...different, i talked about this before but ill talk abt again CUZ I CAN...anyway in the fanfiction, there was a scene where khriz and chris hides away in an apartment after faking chris's death, however, in the comic...they never went to an apartment, but stays in zachs building. In the fanfiction, there was a scene where....chris killed a random man? Because he was a bully when he was a kid, because khriz taunted him to kill him, taking revenge...and then chris accidently eating him? ....its so edgy and full of shock value for no reason, my ass shouldnt have even wrote a single word in that story, but in the comic...it will not happen, obviously...its corny as hell LMAO

With a title like "Best of Luck," this sounds exactly like an Anti-Fairy episode. I'm intrigued.

I love how Cosmo and Wanda's house can be wherever it needs to be, including inside Hazel's desk.

I wish we would've had that lore in the OG series, because it makes a lot of sense (and makes the concept of riding around with your godkids and sitting in elementary school all day less boring). I think I'm yoinking this for 'fics.

I like how they still have old-fashioned desks in the future. I've never had these desks.

Peri and Dev are together again... Peri's trying his best <3 I like how Dev is a grump. That feels right.

I enjoy the detail of Dev pushing his shades back on his nose after throwing his head back and then snapping it forward. They didn't even fall down or reveal his eyes, but it was the correct move for him to do.

Anyway, Peri is trying SO hard to explain the rules... He looked like he was about to cry and then he snapped; let's see where this is going.

I cannot believe this man lasted 4.5 months on the job. Every time he showed up, he was upset.

Neither of them is okay.

And he's got tears down his cheeks... Freakin' GEEZ, Dev! You snapped him like a twig.

I'm glad he's having a hard time adjusting to being a nice person. lol. It really underscores why he's so mean at the start of the series.

The fact that he had no issue taking off his shades after befriending Hazel in "A New Dev-elopment" (even willing to go to school with them off and talk nicely to his teacher that Monday, regardless of the fact that this was his first time in the series doing that and people might've talked about it) gives me the inkling that he probably HAS tried being nice in the past, and he doesn't MIND being nice... until he's hurting, and then his self-defense mechanism is to shut down and wall everyone out.

He WANTS to be "a happy kid." He just keeps getting bit every time he places his trust in someone. Including Hazel (in his POV) since he couldn't move past his "Wait a minute... Did you WISH for us to be friends??" meltdown in spite of the good times that came from that wish.

He tried so hard to see the good in his dad in "Lost and Founder's Day." Even when his dad snapped at him for asking if he could help and told him to go "Eat a lizard."

Even when his dad blatantly used electricity to shock people's brains and Dev very clearly had issues with it. He tried SO HARD to turn it around to "Oh, so you can help kids!!"

He even tried to see the good in Vicky [before she entered the house] when Hazel tried cheering him up with the thought of, "Well yeah, maybe you didn't want a princess cosplayer at your birthday, but she might be a really COOL party princess!"

He just keeps trying and has such high hopes and patience despite getting nipped every time he speaks up and reaches out. That's why he stayed un-miserable for so long before tipping over and getting Peri assigned to him. Tell him how high to jump and he'll do his best without even asking "How high?"

So he took that leap with Hazel. And the floor went out from under him.

I read once that if your natural response is to close off when you're struggling and/or just handle everything yourself even if it's a lot, it indicates your past experiences of reaching out yielded no help, so it's hard to see the point in asking others for help in the future.

I don't have the place I read this on hand and I didn't dive for the sources back then, so take it with a grain of salt, but it's all I've been thinking about while watching Dev in this show.

btw, I had to rewatch part of "Lost and Founder's Day" to grab that screenshot, and it's hilarious to me that even when he's talking to his own son, Dale still introduces himself as "Dale Dimmadome, owner of Dimmadome Global." He's just like his dad.

Okay, I looked it up to see if that was true and first of all, yes it is, and second, he's also credited as Peri's VA, so I love that! I hadn't bothered to check who Peri's VA was, but that literally makes so much sense; their parents have always shared, so of COURSE they'd share too. That's so smart...

Hm... Can't say I'm the biggest fan of Foop's name changing to Irep and I'm not sure I like his design, but maybe it'll grow on me.

That said, the name change is a really clever way to get Irep to explain the lore of how he's the opposite of Peri without being info-dumpy.

I'm glad he kept his facial hair. And he's got big boy fangs! I miss his F-shaped hair curls, though, or maybe I need a better angle.

Hey, he has a dark jacket like the lab coat I gave him in my high school design. I wasn't far off!

No freckles, but in OG canon, they only really showed up when he flushed, so no surprise. I don't expect to see them, but it would be funny if he did flush and they were still there.

Also, I really like the ultraviolet glow of his crown. That makes so much sense.

Insert joke about how Anti-Fairies used to be invisible to the naked eye until Season 5

... He is actually REALLY cute. He looks a lot like his old self.

Are other Anti-Fairies also going to have square heads? I don't mind Foop having a square one if all his species does, but I'll be a bit surprised if he's the only creature with a cube head.

I think it's funny that they took away Peri's eyelashes when he grew up, but left Irep with one. That feels incredibly right.

I love his unique scruffy eyebrows. That's cute.

Irep, who previously had such a traumatizing experience as a godparent that he spent that episode screaming and crying, his magic souring in a range of colors all the way down to green in one of the only appearances of green magic in the series, and literally almost gave up on life before he gained the courage to lash out at Vicky despite knowing full-well his magic would immediately backlash and torture him for it: "I am once again ready to take responsibility for a mean human."

This only exacerbates my analysis of Peri not being ready for godkids and that's flippin' hilarious.

I wonder if he's still claustrophobic, because that was, like... his big thing after escaping Abracatraz. I doubt it will come up (and he's much older now), but since he's an antagonist, I assume he has a weakness, and that would be an interesting one to bring back.

FINALLY! I don't think we ever got to see umbrellas open indoors as a form of bad luck in the OG series. It's one of those tiny questions always floating in the back of my mind, sdklfj.

I like how Dev still went to class. He has rule-breaking magic at his fingertips and this is where he's spending his time.

I did not expect Q to be the one to stand up for Phum, but I wasn't really surprised after the last ep. Previously, he'd be the first one to go up in arms, but he's starting to understand maybe everything isn't that straightforward, and despite his friends meddling in his own relationship, he wants to leave Peem alone.

Conclusion: he's a very good friend.

Helluva Boss Full Moon Episode Analysis 🌕 ✨

My very long and detailed personal analysis of the scene we were all waiting for below the cut. Spoilers, obviously, so don’t click if you don’t wanna see that. Also, this is just my own opinion, it’s cool if you don’t agree.

Also, I took all these screenshots on my phone because it’s all I have, so I apologize for the constant presence of the “hey you wanna change apps now or something” bar at the bottom of the screen.

tl;dr: Both Stolas and Blitzø are at fault here, and that’s the point of the episode.

So, I’m gonna start right after Stolas requests his book back and informs Blitzø that he needs it permanently.

Blitzø argues that he needs the book for his job. And that’s true, Moxxie already spelled that out earlier in the episode. But we have seen Blitzø trying to persuade Stolas before, and this is not how he does it. Whenever he persuades Stolas for something that is based in purely selfish reasons, he leans on his sexuality and on Stolas’ desire, not on straight up begging. All day, he has been plagued by Loona’s words that Stolas has been getting bored of him, and the fact that the first thing Stolas does is request his grimoire back is proof that she was right.

But Blitzø, being Blitzø, can’t just say that he’s scared Stolas has gotten bored of him, so he goes back to the thing Stolas already knows: he needs the book for his job.

Stolas, of course, was anticipating this. That’s why he has the Asmodean crystal prepared and within reach to give to Blitzø in exchange, probably to assuage his fears about the future of his company. He genuinely cares about Blitzø’s passions, and because of that, he is genuinely invested in his work and wants to do whatever he can to help him. Additionally, not only will the crystal end the transactional nature of their relationship, it will free Blitzø—and his employees—of the burden of being held accountable for law breaking.

Blitzø, on the other hand, wasn’t expecting anything like this. He has known from day one that if Stolas ever takes his book back, that’s the end of I.M.P. For Stolas to then turn around and tell him that he got a crystal for him (and advocated to Asmodeus on Blitzø’s behalf, no less) is something he probably never imagined would happen, much less anticipated.

For Stolas, a member of demonic royalty and of a privileged class of demon, this isn’t that big of a gesture. It’s big, of course—Stolas isn’t stupid, he knows how difficult it is for a non-Lust demon to acquire one of these crystals and is aware that his connections are the reason he was able to do this at all—but to him, it’s something of a no-brainer.

Stolas could not imagine a reality where he denied Blitzø anything, at least not right now. So, in his desire to end the transaction, it’s only natural to him that he would find another way for Blitzø to do his job, one where he doesn’t have to rely on anyone but himself. And in a rational situation, Stolas would be entirely right.

But this isn’t a rational situation. Blitzø doesn’t hear that he’s not beholden to anyone anymore, what he hears is that his excuse to see Stolas and pretend that it isn’t emotional has been taken away from him. That’s why he says they can just keep doing things the old way: he’s so emotionally constipated that if he loses the book, he either has to confront his feelings for Stolas or never see him again. And it might not matter anyway, because if Blitzø believes that Stolas only wants sex and has grown bored of him, this is simply a very expensive way to say “I don’t need you anymore”.

I think Stolas placing the stone on Blitzø’s bracer is a very important detail for the way things go in both of their minds, and it is very different:

For Stolas, he has proven to Blitzø that he is serious in his offer, and that this crystal belongs to him. He knows Blitzø is suspicious and untrusting, and by fastening it to him in a way that means Stolas himself cannot take it back, it shows Blitzø that Stolas truly means what he’s saying. It’s a display of selfless sincerity, and of trust, because if Blitzø took off that moment, there would be nothing Stolas could really do about it.

However, for Blitzø, Stolas has just taken away his autonomy and made the decision for him. Before he even had a chance to parse his thoughts on what’s happening, Stolas places the crystal on him, even though the only answer he has given is a fairly explicit “but I don’t want this”.

When Stolas tells Blitzø that he doesn’t have to stay, but that Stolas wants him to, he is showing an emotionally vulnerable side of himself that he only ever lets Octavia see. He is bearing his soul to Blitzø, because he wants to make it perfectly clear what he wants. And it’s so very important to emphasize that Stolas is very clear and direct in what he wants, because he doesn’t want to accidentally give Blitzø the wrong impression. He’s put a lot of thought into this, primarily because he’s been obsessing over what he was going to say ever since he went to ask Asmodeus for the crystal in the first place.

However, it’s also important to remember that Stolas is the one who prepared himself for this conversation. Of course he has a beautiful speech prepared and has reasoned out his arguments and knows exactly what he plans to do.

Blitzø is not prepared for this, however. Blitzø, who has convinced himself that a prince could never actually want an imp (especially one like him), who has spent all day telling himself that he isn’t feeling emotional over this and running all over town to acquire as much as possible because he’s afraid Stolas is getting bored, is completely blindsided by the sudden deluge of real emotion that’s pouring out of Stolas. Blitzø is already exceedingly bad with words, and because of his self-hate, he leans on the idea that it’s a kinky roleplay because that’s so much easier for him to believe.

Stolas, of course, has no reason to know any of this. To his eye, he just presented his heart to Blitzø on a platter, and Blitzø immediately turned flippant and dismissive, an obvious rejection of what he just metaphorically gutted himself over. To him, Blitzø has just affirmed that he doesn’t take this seriously, isn’t anywhere near as invested in it as Stolas is himself, and doesn’t actually want him.

To Stolas, this is the end of the conversation. He ended the transaction, he asked Blitzø for a real relationship, and Blitzø said no. With nothing else to discuss, Stolas leaves the room, probably assuming Blitzø will leave the way he came in. I would imagine that, after living with Stella for so long, the best way to deal with an awkward situation has always been to remove himself from that situation entirely. For him, this is a kindness, because otherwise the room is about to get very uncomfortable.

To Blitzø, this is a dismissal that Stolas would give to a servant or someone else he deems as lesser. He even asks if Stolas was serious in a disbelieving manner, because the idea of everything Stolas said being genuine is too alien for him. When he runs after Stolas, he clearly still doesn’t even know what he’s going to say, because things are moving too fast for him to process.

Stolas is, in my opinion, completely justified in his feelings. He’s hurt, because he’s cared so much for Blitzø for so long, and he tells him as much because Stolas is still trying to be fully upfront and honest. He believes he received Blitzø’s answer, as well as confirmation that everything has always been about sex.

I think it’s this, in particular, that sets Blitzø off. The transactional relationship was Stolas’s idea. Stolas spent every moment they were together, especially early S1, doing nothing but hitting on Blitzø. He even tells Stolas, in his mind, that he knows he only wants sex after the disaster at Ozzie’s, which was also the last time they talked in person. Blitzø is hearing his own words being used against him, realizing how much it hurts, and lashing out because anger is how he responds to strong emotion. (This is a bad thing, by the way. I’m not condoning it, just making an observation.)

Because he’s lashing out, Blitzø proceeds to verbally dump on Stolas, but he says something very important: he tells Stolas he needs a minute to think.

Blitzø was, again, blindsided by this conversation. He was then put on the spot and made to give an answer immediately, and when he wasn’t able to provide an in-depth, soul-searching, thoroughly considered answer off the cuff, he lost any opportunity to even attempt to recover the situation. And in my opinion, this is the most unfair thing Stolas does this entire scene. He seems to have completely forgotten that Blitzø isn’t prepared, and expects him to be as ready for this as he is himself.

When Blitzø tears into Stolas about his station, and about how the rich treat people like him, it’s clearly something he’s been wanting to say for quite some time. But he’s emotional, he’s not thinking straight, and he says things far harsher than he means to (which I’ll expound on in a moment). One of Blitzø’s flaws is saying things without thinking them through, and it definitely fucks him over right here.

Blitzø has no way of knowing that what he just said to Stolas is almost identical to what Striker said when he kidnapped and almost killed Stolas. But it is: both of them directly state that Stolas uses people beneath him because he can. Just like Blitzø didn’t hear Stolas’s sincerity, Stolas isn’t hearing Blitzø’s turmoil. Instead, he hears that the man he loves has the same opinion of him as someone who tried to kill him multiple times. That has to be a heartbreaking feeling, especially since Stolas seems to have been actively working to not be like his fellow royals, and it hurts him that Blitzø doesn’t see that.

Blitzø doesn’t just feel bad when he sees Stolas crying. When he hears Stolas’s words, he realizes what it was that he just said and that he didn’t mean it. He even tries to apologize; when he reaches out, he’s halfway through “I’m sorry” once he realizes he’s been teleported outside. And Blitzø never apologizes, not so directly, which means he knows that he hurt Stolas and he knows that Stolas didn’t deserve it.

I also think so much of his frustration stems from the fact that he wasn’t given an opportunity to explain himself. It was explaining that started healing his relationship with Fizzarolli, after all, and not having the same chance here was clearly fucking him up.

Here’s my takeaway from this episode: this argument needed to happen if their relationship was going to evolve in a healthy way. Both of them had put too much baggage into what they currently had, and the only way to fix that was to dump it out on the proverbial table the way they did. And, because they needed to dump their baggage, it makes sense that it ended with both of them wounded.

Both of them need time to work things out, be alone with their thoughts, and try to get over their own bullshit.

Blitzø needs to learn how to let himself open up to emotion, even just a little bit, and how to express himself without sarcasm, anger, or tears.

Stolas needs to learn how to actually listen to others (which we know is a problem from the time he took Via to Loo Loo Land after being told point blank she didn’t want to go).

Both of them did things wrong. And both of them did things right: Stolas was so honest and straightforward, and Blitzø immediately realized a place he had fucked up and tried to fix it immediately. And I think this argument needed to be both of their fault, ultimately, because something on this scale would be almost impossible to come back from otherwise.

Painful, but necessary. And it’ll just mean their making up will be that much more satisfying.

Let me get into your second question before I get into my thoughts on what the season finale will contain. Let's talk about these interviews, because good gracious lord, I have a lot to say. I tried to skip a lot of the interviews, because I don't want to be associated with dead!Bobby, but eventually someone from my discord crew send me a fragment of that podcast interview Aisha and Oliver did earlier today. When I first heard that interview, I felt absolutely disgusted: how can they brush off Bobby's death so easily, and Peter having left the show? Why in the frickle frackle are they brushing it off as a "Okay, that's done, NEXT PLEASE!" situation? When I had some conversations with some people about it, I realized that the world of acting friggin sucks. If you're a mean ass bitch, you can kiss your job goodbye. While you read through the lines of all these interviews, you can read how upset most cast members are about this decision, but they are not allowed to say anything about it. They literally are at the hands of satan Tim, and my heart friggin breaks for them. SECONDLY, every moron and every GA member who goes through the interviews can see that these answers are in 90% of the cases not genuine. Or, someone shoved a mountain of media training through their mouth to train them in what to say about this subject, or someone gave them a shitload of script cards. Anyway, the questions are always the same: potential Buddie, how Bobby's death rocked the show, but never about the outlash of the fandom (you are not gonna tell my ass they did not notice that as a cast) or about how badly they are going to miss Peter. It is always "yeah we'll see where it goes". The sometimes vague responses from the upfronts also show me that they are definitely hiding something. Next to that, when you put all the interviews together, you can see that no one's story matches when it comes to finding out about the MCD. That is sus as hell. From this entire cast, the only person who has rights to know earlier about this stuff is Angela, and you're telling me that the core cast all found out at different moments? Bull shit. I see that a lot of people in the fandom have already lost hope, but I stay true to an old wisdom: be absolutely sure about what they've shown you and don't judge until you've seen it all. Peter was on for this entire season, you're not gonna tell me they could not have done an open casket scene if they had really wanted to. They never showed us a dead body, and there must be a particular reason for that. Don't even get me started about all the social media sneakyness... Oliver admitting that he deletes posts from insta as "we will be screenshotting it anyway"? My dude, you're almost insulting your fans. Brings me to your first question: what I expect to see in the season finale. I expect a bunch of cliché's first and foremost: Athena being forced to work with Chim and the two having to talk it out, a bunch of Buddie shizzle in the house (they have been putting Oliver and Ryan together in a shitload of press things for a reason, they want to hype up the Buddie fam), Maddie will probably give birth and I will not be surprised at all when that kid gets named after Bobby. Now, when it comes to our maestro in resurrection: I am still very much convinced that we are alive!maxxing. The past two episodes, Tim has been shoving down our throats that the man is very VERY dead and not coming back. He will need something to drag us all to season 9. Best way to do that, is give us a bread crum: Bobby being unconscious in a lab, his name being mentioned; it could be anything. That will hit even harder when no one has any hope left of him being alive. They already lost a million viewers this past episode. I would like to say that Tim cannot be that stupid, but you know, it is always a matter of "be carefull what you wish for"...
