Question to my black gamers/writers, what hairstyle do you envision your self-insert or your MC wearing when going on these long-ass journeys and quests with their hair? What protective styles are y’all using? What type? Locs? Braids? Crochet? Cornrows? Mini-twists?? How do you story-wise work in the maintenance? Are they wearing a scarf/headwrap? How’s they get said headscarf? Do they wear their world’s equivalent to a bonnet? How are doing their wash-days; where do they do it? What products are they using and where do I get them?

I'm honestly usually kind of lukewarm on clothes shopping for all the predictable reasons but I'm really at a point where I can't avoid it because a lot of my favorite clothes from when I was in college are visibly disintegrating every time they go through the wash

And like ever since I crash landed back here I've been leaning increasingly heavily on t shirts and shorts/jeans for daily shit while all the nice gendery stuff breaks down and it feels like I'm stuck boymoding half the time

But now that I actually have a reason to leave the house regularly it feels like I do actually have a good reason to start trying to amend that

-> grief & longing & being othered & having to find a place of belonging in spite of everything in order to live instead of survive. I think that's some motif shit. it's what I carry over across continuities, at least

3. is your character an indoor or outdoor person?

-> outdoor person. he is a big fan of nature & can't fit into most interior spaces anyway

7. what is the thing your oc likes the most about themselves?

-> he taught himself to play music by adjusting his vents & blowing air/steam/smoke through them. sounds a lil like pipe organ music

I was trying to be more sustainable and also save a bit of money by dyeing a dress I wore once in a wedding last year and then having it altered by a friend's mom to wear for graduation... I burned it in the dyeing process... graduation is Saturday...I have to find a dress between now and Saturday. Help.

Can I just say thank you to everyone who has been good about tagging their Help Wanted 2 spoilers? I'm not being as diligent with it as I was for Security Breach in general, but it is one that I want to try to experience as much as I can when I can actually play it (word is there will be a Non-VR version soon-ish? And since I can't play VR for medical reasons, I have to wait).
