( Life-of-kalos ??? @ Goliaopede ) ??? Stared at the creature in front of him. Not sure what to make of it, part of him felt kinship. "You are quite a grotesque sight. Allowing such a plague to take yourself over. Do you remember life before this *thing* enslaved your brain?" He gestures to Goliaopede. "I believe it goes without saying that any relationships you might have had before this corruption, have long been abandoned. I mean, who could look upon you and not weap knowing what you've become?" Perhaps this distain in his words we're truly meant for the one before him but that didn't stop his judgment.

Goliaopede: In fact, it seems you mortals seem to carry on their names even now. Generations of universes have passed since Galvinra and our children; Galar, Kalos, and Unova ceased to be. I did not abandon him, as he would never have abandoned me. It would be wise of you to not claim I ever did.

Goliaopede: Life before my infection was only good when Galvinra was a part of it, he was...unnaturally kind for a Giratina, I had never seen one of his colorations before meeting him. In father's eyes, he was defective for his lack of aggression. Perhaps he was, but I could never find reason to lay a claw on him. He is the only reason I do not see shiny Pokémon as members of the tainted population to be culled. Be grateful for that gift he gave you with his existence.

Vesta looks up at the behemoth that was Goliaopede, while others might have looked on in fear the hybrid had no such feelings within her at this time. Instead she felt a slight anger and distain which she tried to hold back as she spoke.

For someone who speaks of corruption, you seemed to be gripped by it yourself. I wonder...how if you had always kept such awful before.

It seems Goliaopede did not understand the question. He has elected not to say anything though his confusion is quite apparent.

“Goliapede, please pardon my intrusion…” She fought to keep her voice from failing. “I have heard tales from that you seek out and kill those who are different than the normal types of pokemon…variants if you will, if such a story is true then-Why is it that you do so?!” She yelled up towards the hulking beast. “What reason do you have to destroy the uniqueness others hold?!”

Goliaopede: You see child, it is my duty to purge the void of all malignant malfunctions in the grand design of the great cosmos. Those "unique variations" aren't supposed to exist-

Goliaopede: Much like my own. Therefore they must be culled, like the invasive pests they are~ and only once they are all eliminated may I be cured of my own affliction. I don't expect a fragmented half of a dragon to understand. The great design is far beyond your realm of responsibility or comprehension, young truth. Lord Calama, forgive this anon if this ends up opening some old wounds. But what exactly is this Goliapede that you & your protege have talked about? How did it come into existence?

Calama: "Goliapede's father was obsessed with perfection and he drove his own son to madness with his expectations long before the Necrosma infection wracked his body...the fragmentation caused by his now hybrid status has made him unpredictable, unreasonable, and truly despicable." Calama: "It kills everything and erases every universe it finds that doesn't meet the standards his father had set. Me being born gold banded...an unnatural color for my race when we should be red or blue in our hues...has marked my realm for death. As long as I live to challenge him, as long as I prove to him that while I may look wrong I am as capable as any other Giratina...he cannot enter our universe and collapse it by killing my father." Calama: "So long as he is obsessed with slaughtering us he won't target any other worlds until I am out of the way. So prey for my long life and that I remain healthy."

The titan laid uncomfortably spread across an entire mountain range of debris floating in the abyss. The massive gash that ran down his flank hissing as the dead skin burned away as it had spent months absorbing the energy around it to close itself inch by painful inch.

That ugly freak had gotten lucky again and this wound was taking longer to heal due to his attack having filled the gash with burns slowing its ability to absorb and heal. Oh how it burned. Each twitch his body made filling his nerves with fiery pain. And each flash of main making his mind scream from the fragmented memories of his own failures of the past. He can already hear his father's venom filled scorn.

That's when he felt something. The shockwaves of a cataclysmic explosive collapse from somewhere deep in the void. Ah an Arceus had died and it's world gone with it. Thats when his eyes twitched to look at his hand and he noticed the rune carved into it flew a sickening green and faded away. A sneer spread across his face as he seemed to forget his pain and stood up with a malicious glee

"Calama is dead~" he purred with glee before snarling he hadn't been the one to do it. Another failure in his part he scowled turning his gaze in that direction and sneered again. The freak of nature had always stopped Goliaopedes expansion past his territory and now nothing stopped him from continuing his mission. Now he had the entire void open to him. Ow he was free to follow the path his father gave him.

Kill off the unslightly and purify the multiverse of anything less than perfect.

"I expected better of you Goliath!" The arceus scoffed as he glared down at his son from his throne. "We now have an infestation of those parasites heckling my Solgaleo and Lunala and disgracing the features our mew have worked so hard to perfect! All because you didn't pay heed to the northwest segment of the void for...what was your stupid reasoning again?"

When Goliath opened his mouth to answer the darkened look that graced his father's face silenced him,

"that's right, you didn't think you had to watch it because there are no other universes in that direction yet. Now look at the mess you made because you were lazy. There are 100 universes that exist and for every one that dies three more are born and yet somehow you make us the laughing stock of them all!" The arceus barked.

"One's daughter fragment has managed to kill everything that so much as smells their border and yet you have the audacity to think you are worthy of your role? A pathetic example of a void wyrm if I've ever seen one! Get out of my sight before you make me do something I might regret."

Goliath kept his head low to hide his misty eyes and slinked away from his father's throne room. It wasn't fair. He was just coming into his abilities, Fragment was a full grown adult, he was just a child, yet he was expected to be as good as her. It was his first day...

Okay so we know what is so bad about this goliapede. But we still don't know what a goliapede is. Is it a relative of giratina or something?

As stated in the previous ask, Goliapede is a Giratina infected by a Necrosma. Much like how in the sun and moon games it can infect and fuse with Solgaleo and Lunaala.

But because Giratina is not its natural prey and doesn't produce light (which is what Necrosma consumes) the infection mutated Goliapede's mind and body so it's stuck in a bit of a hybrid state though at birth it was a normal Giratina.

Edit: just realized you asked what a goliapede is. Goliapede is his name not his species if thats where your confusion was!
