I only have you
Kazutora Hanemiya x Chifuyu Matsuno
Angst/Fluff
Cw: Mentions of Death (Suicide and Shooting), blood, cigarettes/smoking.
Tumblr media
Chifuyu was passing through a TV shop when he saw the news. Two men were found dead, close to an abandoned building, where they’ve fallen. One of them jumped the building, while the other tried to save him. This one was shot, three times, likely before falling. The bodies had been identified quite rapidly.
The leader of a mafia gang, Bonten, Majirou Sano.
And a citizen. Takemichi Hanagaki.
The groceries were dropped in the cold cement of the floor. The shock was so strong that Chifuyu felt his blood pressure dropping harshly. His hands got cold, his breathing got faster. Everything was in slow motion, the video from a witness playing on the screen. It can’t be happening.
Kazutora was right behind him, hand in his mouth, just as surprised as the other. Chifuyu quickly reached Kazutora, grabbing his clothing with enough strength to rip it. “Keys! Now!” He exclaimed. He didn’t wait for the older man to act. Turned around in his feet and rushed through the car, leaving Kazutora struggling to get the keys from his pocket. Once in the car, Chifuyu drove with all the velocity he could. Trespassing red lights, avoiding people in the street by just a hair, turning around so suddenly that the wheels made noise and left a mark in the pavement.
They got to the place where Takemichi's body was found fast enough to see with their own eyes.
Mikey, short hair and paler features, holding the body of Takemichi, shot and broken, both laying in a pool of blood. A painful whimper left Chifuyu’s throat as the harsh truth was confirmed. Takemichi, his best friend, his confident.
His partner.
Was dead.
“TAKEMICHIII!!!” He screamed, incredulous. “NO!!” The police tried to hold him, keeping him from invading the crime scene. “No!!! Leave me!! Let me see him!! Let me see him!! Takemichi!!” His voice trembled as tears cascaded his face as he struggled to escape the policemen’s grip.
Kazutora stayed unmoved, close enough to see the bodies and even closer to the tantrum Chifuyu was making, but his senses were completely shut down. His vision tunneled to his deceased friends, lying cold, unmoving. Death was inevitable, but a voice in the back of his mind screamed, louder than whatever noise came, ringing in Kazutora’s ear, deafening, telling him, “It’s my fault.”
‘It’s my fault, it’s my fault, it’s my fault.’ His mind spiraled. ’I’ve led him to this. I’ve caused his demise. I should’ve been with him.’
“Takemichi!! D-don’t leave me!!” Chifuyu screamed, full lungs, “D-don’t die!! No…”
The last thing he saw, before they could finally push him away, was his friends being covered. They couldn’t say goodbye.
*
Days after the incident, it was a cold day. The pet shop has been closed since Takemichi’s funeral. Chifuyu Isn't coming out as much as he used to. It’s been some of those days, where neither of them speak much. It’s so deafeningly quiet in the apartment. The pressure’s strong. Smell of cigarettes came from Chifuyu’s room, which Kazutora entered without asking.
“Chifuyu… “ He called, worried. “It’s the third box just this week. “
The younger one inhaled the smoke one more time before putting out the cigarette. His head hurt. He felt his throat sore, due to the intense screaming. Arms crossed and inclined in the window’s frames. No answers.
Kazutora tried to call him again, just to be cut dryly.
“You caused it, didn’t you?”
Kazutora's eyes widened, it wasn’t mentioned, but he knew what this was about. “...What...?” He murmured.
“ You’ve been too close with Takemichi these days! I should have suspected something!” Chifuyu blurted, not being able to scream, his voice rasp. “You two were looking for Mikey!!”
“Look, I didn’t think it would end up like that!” Kazutora lied, trying to explain himself. He knew that might’ve happen. “I warned him to stop!”
“But still gave him all the clues he wanted!!” Chifuyu stared down at him with anger in his eyes. “You led him to certain death, Kazutora!”
"He's a grown ass man, Chifuyu! I warned him, but I’m not his mother!! I can’t control him!!”
“You knew it was dangerous!!” They both screamed now, arguing. “And you let him go like that!! Neither of you should've gone after Mikey!!”
“Oh for fuck sake! He would’ve found out about Mikey sooner or later! You know it!! Mikey’s our friend!!” Kazutora pointed vaguely, referring to their deceased friend. “At least I tried to be a good friend and help him!! I warned him! I showed the evidence!! All you did was lie!!”
“At least he was alive!!” Chifuyu pushed Kazutora’s shoulder, holding back to not punch something right away. “And nobody was involved in the mafia again!!”
Kazutora pushed him back, earring jingling from the movement. “Why are you so pissed about me being involved anyway?!”
“Because I don’t want to lose you too!!” Chifuyu screamed. They both got silent after it. The heat from the anger just left space for the cold melancholy from before. Tears Chifuyu held back the entire conversation were now streaming down his cheeks, quietly. Suddenly, Kazutora felt bad for making him cry.
The older man reached the other’s face, cleaning his tears with his thumb. “Oh, Chifuyu…” he held him in his arms, stroking his hair and rocking him slowly. The other man hugged his waist, effortlessly, laying his head on the taller’s shoulder.
“I’ve lost so many important people to me…” Chifuyu’s voice was weak now, tired and soft. “My dad, Baji, Takemichi… I don’t want you to die too…”
Kazutora held him tighter, making Chifuyu also tighten his own grip. “I won’t die. I know how to take care of myself.”
Chifuyu backend to look at the other. His eyes were red again. It’s been all week. “Promise me.”
Kazutora tried to smile. He owed Chifuyu his own life. He loved Chifuyu just as much as he loved Baji before. Anything Chifuyu wants, Kazutora would gladly do. He took Chifuyu’s hand and landed it above his chest, to his beating heart.
“I promise.”
Chifuyu held Kazutora again, collapsing in the bed with him, intertwined together. Stroking Chifuyu’s tears away, Kazutora kissed his face, slowly, lightly, multiple pecks in his salty, teared cheeks and eyes. Chifuyu slipped his cold hands under Kazutora’s black shirt, searching for warmth, making him shiver and bend from the touch.
After landing one last peck in Chifuyu’s lips, Kazutora confessed, once again, to Chifuyu.
“I’ll never leave, y’know. I love you.”
“I love you too.”

"Of course I'm freaking out! You're my friend!" noah @ brooke :)
she lets out a sigh, shutting her locker before focusing on him. “so what?” the blonde asks, leaning against the wall. truth be said, brooke knew he was going to freak out. they had hooked up during the break after a few too many mojitos. but it was not like they had feelings for each other or anything. it was just sex and brooke could deal with casual sex -- it was her go to move. right? “i know you only had sex with zoe before, noah, but this is totally not a big deal”, she adds, placing her hand on his chest instinctively before awkwardly giving it a pat. “it happened once, it is not going to happen again and we don’t ever have to talk about it after this conversation. does that sound good to you? will you stop freaking out and let me go to class now?”

Random Tokyo Revengers Headcanons
Pt. 1/?
Kokonoi has money, but is also very economic. He won't spent it unless he's a 100% sure it's worth it. That's why he's also bad at gambling. He already have the money, why waste it in something you're not sure it can repay you?
Even though Chifuyu possibly met Hinata and Naoto through Takemichi, they become friends really quickly, and close ones as well. It's not uncommon to see Chifuyu with at least one of the Tachibanas as if they knew each other since forever.
Baji's dyslexic. I mean, it just makes sense if you think about it.
Kakucho's white eye is blind/almost blind.
Draken and Akkun actually go along really well. And since Draken's the one that does Mikey's hair, he sometime get tips from Akkun from time to time.
Koko uses lenses. So does Bonten Rindou.
That's what I have for today! Hope you like it~<3

The Pain of Healing and Loving
Chapter 3: As Clouds Rain
Kazutora Hanemiya x Chifuyu Matsuno
Cw: Mention of alcohol;
Tumblr media
After that day, they grew closer.
That's what Kazutora wanted to believe, anyway. The feeling of being ghosts to each other was replaced, gradually, for some kind of comfort. They were not close enough to be even called friends, but the mere acknowledging of each other made the environment improve. They saw each other more. Talked to each other. They work together. Kazutora, who usually stayed in the living room, all the time, felt more free to walk around the other rooms, as he pleased.
In work, talking with costumers was, still, troublesome for him, so he stayed most of the time in the backrooms, calming the animals, or cleaning. And everything that Matsuno asked him to do, he did, trying the best he could.
It was Friday, end of the afternoon, and Matsuno was closing the shop for the day. Kazutora was sweeping the floor, since earlier a big, furry dog came for a trim. Sweeping was one of the things he liked to do the most. It always feels nice to see the dirt get piled up and the repetitive movement took all the focus in Kazutora's mind. Only him and the broom and the floor and the song he hummed, that got stuck to his head earlier as he listened to the radio. No bad thoughts, no pitying himself.
So concentrated he was that didn't noticed Matsuno approaching, touching his back. The shock made Kazutora swift around, using the broom as a bat, one that Chifuyu almost couldn't dodge, flinching when Kazutora made a sudden movement of coming closer, letting the broom fall with a loud thud.
"Shit! I'm sorry!" Kazutora held his hands up, trying to reach for the other, but hesitating profusely. "I-I didn't saw you come in!"
Matsuno shook his hands, slightly. Trying to calm Kazutora. "It's alright! I should be the one apologizing." He kneeled down, to get the broom from the floor, breathing deeply to calm himself as well. "It's not your fault."
Kazutora held the broom handle tightly when it was given to him. Matsuno should really stop doing those things, Kazutora felt a burden enough already.
"I just came to say that we're closed for today."
Kazutora nodded. "I'll finish here."
"Alright. I'm going out for a bit, then. Wanna buy something."
They didn't look at each other, awkwardly staring to the floor. They were closer, but still really distant.
As close as a cloud and the earth.
"Alright. I'll handle the rest."
"…Thanks."
Tumblr media
Kazutora was in the bath when Chifuyu came back from the mall, holding plastic bags with cans and a pack of peyoung soba.
…He used to share it with Baji. It was his idea as well. That was more or less how their friendship started.
Chifuyu bought the soba to share with Kazutora as well. Baji used to part it with Chifuyu, most of the time, and he felt like this was something special for them. But after some thinking, knowing how much Baji cared for Kazutora, there was no saying if he didn't do it with him as well.
If they did, it wouldn't be special to Chifuyu, maybe he thought too much. It would be special for Kazutora as well.
But the bitterness that grew with that track of thought, Chifuyu decided to avoid. Instead, he decided that maybe they could bond about that.
It maybe could be special for them two now.
Chifuyu looked at the bag and the box of soba in there. Only one box, lonely in the bag.
Thinking back now, this idea was stupid. Chifuyu just assumed things and not even bought a decent meal for both of them. Why would Kazutora accept only half a meal? He wasn't some sort of servant that only got the leftovers from his majesty. Chifuyu didn't want him to be so.
He should just go back to the mall and buy another box, before Kazutora came out of the bathroom.
"Matsuno-san?" Too late. The man in question was already at the living room, a towel wrapped around his neck, which he used the tip to dry his hair. "What is that?"
Chifuyu smiled, guilty. "Dinner. There's only one thought… I, um, kinda forgot to buy two…" he lied. But if Kazutora noticed, he didn't say anything.
"It's alright." Hanemiya turned back to the bathroom, to leave the towel there, coming back seconds later. "You can eat it."
"Hm, actually…" Matsuno called, leaving the bags on the table in the living room, and taking the peyoung soba from it carefully. "We can split it.. if you want."
"Split?" Kazutora wondered, considering the offer. "You don't mind?"
"Not at all." Because in the end, he got what he wanted. "You can start eating, I'm just gonna get some chopsticks for me."
As he looked for a pair of chopsticks in the drawer, a soft sound of gas coming out of a opening can came from the living room, along with the noise of the envelope of the soba being taken out, delicately.
This made Chifuyu wonder, once again this week. How is this the same Kazutora he met, years before?
Kazutora wasn't this thoughtful, or delicate, or this helpful. He was all over the place, doing what he wanted, beating others as he pleased. Sadistic and egocentric.
He's was nothing like that.
"This is really good!" Was what Kazutora announced, before Chifuyu came back, running from his thoughts.
"It is, isn't it?" Chifuyu sat beside him, taking a can of beer for himself and opening it. "It's my favorite one."
"I don't remember that brand, either." Kazutora pointed to the cover, vaguely.
"Yeah, it's kind of unknown."
Kazutora ate a bit more before giving the food to Chifuyu, standing in silence, awkwardly, staring at the other eat. His hands, too free in his opinion, grabbed his can of beer and drank, distracting himself for a bit.
The silence made both of them nervous. And, surprisingly, Kazutora spoke first.
"Matsuno-San–"
"You can call me Chifuyu, Kazutora-kun." He interrupted.
"Right, sorry. Chifuyu-san, I… well…"
The man turned to the other, all his attention on him, hands resting in the table, as he held the chopsticks and the box. Kazutora felt even more embarrassed now.
"… Thank you. Greatly." He finally said— mumbled— without looking Chifuyu in the eyes. —He would melt from embarrassment.
"For what?" Chifuyu, on the other hand, felt really confused.
He made a vague gesture with his hand, resting his weight in the table before him. "Everything. I wasn't able to thank you properly." This felt as embarrassing as confessing to Kazutora, but he just kept talking. He can drink himself to oblivion after that. "Nobody… ever shared their things with me. You're sharing everything you have."
Chifuyu passed the soba to the other again. "Nobody?" Kazutora bowed his head as he filled his mouth.
"Not that I recall." He spoke, mouth full.
"Not even Baji?"
Oh.
Kazutora forced himself to swallow, his appetite now gone.
But Matsuno still wanted a answer. He could sense it, even without looking.
"He's the exception." The soba was pulled once again, but Chifuyu didn't take it. Instead, he just glared.
"We used to split it." Kazutora glanced over his shoulder, curious. "Peyoung soba. It was, kinda like our thing." His words were sweet, and so was his tone, but it made Kazutora ache nevertheless. Chifuyu covered his face with a hand, ashamed about what he did. "I originally thought that we could share it as well. You and me, I mean." He corrected.
Kazutora wasn't understanding what Chifuyu was trying to say, but listened attentively, avoiding thinking bad thoughts again. Focusing, only, in Chifuyu.
"I expected that it could be special for us too."
Silence installed once again. Crushing, loud, and hard to break. And even with all his mean, Chifuyu could barely whisper.
"…And you?"
Kazutora stared at him, big wide eyes, unsure. He… what?
And like the other could read his mind, clarified. "Don't you have any special memory with him?"
Memories? Why would he ever be deserving of them after crushing the things Chifuyu had? Why would Kazutora's memory matter if he ended the sweet memories of another's? Memories that could have been his daily life if Kazutora didn't have messed up so badly?
But still. Kazutora clinged egoistically to his memory with Baji just as much Chifuyu did. It's everything he have.
And maybe, in the end, the two of them weren't so different.
"When we were together…" Kazutora voice was just as soft as Chifuyu's whisper. He couldn't dare to speak louder. "… and he got hungry… he decided to just. Set fire to some random's cars."
Chifuyu's eyes widened. "He did what?!" His surprise made Kazutora scoff, entertained.
"You tamed him, Matsuno. He was a menace."
"I could never. If anything, he made me worse."
"You? I don't believe it."
"I swear! There was one time…"
Their voices got louder as they talked about the boy. Happy memories, that made both feel so nostalgic. As they focused on the joyful happenings, ignoring the melancholy that usually came with them, the soba and the night ended, as the cloud rained in the land, connecting them.

The Pain of Healing and Loving
Chapter 2: Cat’s Empathy
Kazutora Hanemiya x Chifuyu Matsuno
Cw: None! :))
Tumblr media
Just because you're living with someone, doesn't mean you're automatically close.
Kazutora had been in Chifuyu's house for some days now. He doesn't have anything to complain, though. He sleeps in a futon in the room, and is eating well. He tried going for a walk once in a while, and even started drawing. But he avoided Chifuyu like he was a ghost. The kind of ghost you don't know how to get rid off, and just accepts it around, but also don't really want to live with it. Or it was the opposite. Kazutora was the ghost Chifuyu was avoiding. And it led to Kazutora avoiding Chifuyu as well. There was some times that were impossible to not talk to each other. And Chifuyu was trying his best to be polite and nice. He asked the other if he needed anything, and made sure to say good morning or good night in case they saw each other during the day, but besides that, Chifuyu kept his distance. He's the owner of a small pet shop now. The place is right below his apartment, and he could spend the entire day there. There's not a lot of movement yet, but it was cozy enough to make him stay there as long as he needed to. And he needed a lot.
Sometimes, when there's no animal for him to take care, and all he can do is lay around and maybe reorganize the selling items, he wondered if taking Kazutora in was really a good choice. Objectively speaking, the man never did anything bad to Chifuyu. Kazutora was quiet. And helpful. Maybe because he didn't want to bother. But Chifuyu couldn't help but remember the day Baji died everytime he looked at him. Anger and sadness and mourning took place to any kind of feeling. The pain that came with remembering that Baji chose to die for Kazutora instead of living for him. Still, he took Kazutora in for Baji. He was willing to heal, and tried to forgive. But why was it so hard to do?  Helping Kazutora was supposed to make him feel better, not worse. 'Maybe I just need some time' Chifuyu thought to himself. 'Maybe with time I get used to it.' A sigh got out of his mouth. He laid his head in the balcony and closed his eyes. Everything is too quiet. He could just close the shop, call it a day and go to Takemichi's house for the rest of the day. Maybe sensing Chifuyu's stress, Peke J appeared beside him, meowing for food, his big eyes staring his owner intensely. "You're hungry?" Chifuyu asked the cat, knowing it wouldn't answer. "No wonder, I guess." He took the cat in his arms petting his head while walking to the back of the shop, towards the stairs to his house. "I'll put some food for you, okay?" Letting go of the big cat, Chifuyu entered his house, breathing deeply before entering. Kazutora was in the living room, as usual. Chifuyu gave him his old cellphone and he seemed to be looking at something not important enough to get all his attention. Nevertheless, he paused it to look at the other, kind of surprised. "Just putting food for Peke J. Don't mind me." Kazutora nodded, going back to the piece of paper in front of him and his cellphone. After filling the bowl for his cat, which ate like it was starving, he returned to the living room, staring at Kazutora from the kitchen door. 'I just need to know him better.' He thought. "What are you doing?" Surprising the man, Chifuyu approached, sitting next to him, making sure to leave some space between the two."You drew those?" "Yeah. I thought maybe I could sell them if people like it." Kazutora played with the pencil in his hand, not sure what to say, but answering to every question like he was obliged to. "They look good." Kazutora replied with a scoff. "I knew you would say that." He mumbled, trying to explain himself right after Chifuyu looked at him with a frown marking his face. "It's just. I know people think I draw good. But I can't see anything exceptional in them." "How? Those are amazing." Chifuyu took a drawing, sliding the tips of his fingers through the pencil lines. They were similar to Mitsuya's ones, very curvy and with busty shapes. What made Kazutora's drawings unique were the way he detailed them. Maybe an art you'd see in a elaborate graffiti. "They're... fine. That's it." Kazutora pressed the tip of the pencil in his finger. "I don't think I would sell something that I really liked." Those were indeed good drawings, and somebody would definitely pay for them, but Chifuyu had a feeling it would be difficult even so. It's sounds like easy money, just that. Without looking at the other man, he asked "Speaking of it. Do you know I work in the pet shop downstairs, right?" The other confirmed, with a slight movement of his head. Chifuyu continued "Do you want to work with me?" Kazutora looked puzzled. Wasn't he already a big nuisance by living there, no rent or anything. He closed his eyes, shaking his head. "I can't. I don't want to bother." "You won't." Chifuyu insisted. "You need the money, right? And I could use some help." They stayed in silence while Hanemiya pondered, his eyes avoiding Chifuyu's, pissing him off a little. What was he so afraid of? As a last resource, he insisted once more. "You owe me that one. Kazutora-kun." A sigh escaped through the man's lips, defeated, and nervous. "Okay." He left his pencil above his drawings, and tried to make eye contact with Matsuno, only to look away as soon as he saw how intensely those blue eyes stared back at him. "So, um... when do I begin?" Like it was synchronized, Chifuyu's cellphone ringed in his pocket, startling both men. "Just a second." He excused himself, getting up and walking towards the balcony. "Yeah, we're open... Uh-huh. You can come, I'm waiting... Only that?... Okay. Later." He walked back to the living room, and stood beside Kazutora and his drawings. Chifuyu looked so big from this angle, so intimidating, he grew since the first time they met. And Kazutora felt so small. "You asked when you begin, yeah? What about right now?" Kazutora felt like he swallowed a rock. His body felt heavier, as he was in the water and the weight didn't allow him to come back. If Matsuno noticed his distress, he didn't comment on that. But it didn't matter how much he wanted to run away now, all he could do was nod. "Yeah... sure." Chifuyu gave him the polite smile again. The kind of smile you give strangers in the streets. He was getting tired of pretending. He was the first one to go back downstairs as well. Kazutora stayed for a while, preparing himself. He felt his heart bumping in his ears as he went to the bathroom and looked at the mirror. How he's supposed to act? He touched his own neck, fingers tracing the dark lines of his tattoo. His hair was way too short to hide, so he tried his best to cover the most of it with the collar of the button shirt he was using. With everything in place— clothes, hair, face, smell— Kazutora left, hoping he didn't left Matsuno waiting for long. He dashed through the stairs and stopped right before the door to the shop, taking a deep breath before turning the doorknob, as quietly as he could. Gentle ambience music echoed around the place. The walls were painted in shades of dark blue and there were shelves with pet food, dog toys and cat beds among other things. Chifuyu was right behind a balcony, his back to where Kazutora was, putting on a light blue apron. Kazutora noticed how his hands pulled the fabric closer and laced it around his waist, precise in tying it without looking, as he did it dozen of times before. Kazutora only noticed himself staring when Matsuno's hands got directed to something in the balcony. "Ahem." He cleared his throat, embarrassed, getting the attention of the other man. "Oh. You're ready?" Chifuyu asked. The other nodded, just like a butler, "I'll tell you what to do as we go. But first..." Chifuyu held something that was in the balcony, offering to the other as the thing unfolded in his hands. Another apron, a yellow one, with a print of a heart with a cute cat inside and "XJ" written right above it. Kazutora stared. And stared. It took seconds until he spoke. "Do I really need to use it?" Chifuyu's annoyed expression made it clear that using it was the right choice to make. "I got this one specifically for you!" He complained. They didn't got the time to discuss. Right after that, the bell in the door ringed.  The client arrived. Chifuyu gave the apron to his colleague and went straight ahead to the door, welcome the lady that just arrived. His shop wasn't very famous, but it got some loyal costumers, like her. She brings her big cat, Ron-Ron, every week, a big grey cat with a lot of fur. Kazutora waited until Chifuyu brought the cat inside, already in his apron, and followed the man as he went through a different door from the the one they use to go upstairs.
This new room was less decorated than the outside, and much more simple as well. A door to a bathroom in one side, and in another, an area with a bathtub, a table, pet hygiene products and other things that made Kazutora deduce that was the place used to clean the animals.
The cat box was left on the table, and Chifuyu opened it calmly, speaking softly with the cat, who seemed uninterested in leaving it. "C'mon, you come always here. There's no reason to be afraid of..." he called, moving his fingers to get the cat's attention. Kazutora just watched, from afar. "Well... I'm going to get something to lure him." Moving away from the room, Chifuyu left Kazutora alone with Ron-Ron. He wanted to follow, but concluded that the idea of leaving the cat there alone might not be a good idea. Looking inside the cage, it was possible to see Ron-Ron against the wall, ears down and fur drizzled, clearly scared. He definitely didn't want to be there. Kazutora sighed. He's afraid. Just that. And with that in mind, Kazutora got closer, making sure to not startle the cat even more.
"Pspsps, kitty." He called, unsuccessful. "I know how you feel, bud..." his words were whispers now. "Things aren't easy, and they're somewhat stressful as well... but you need to understand that even if most people might betray you, there are ones that are really willing to help." It's been some time since Kazutora spoke so much sentences at once. He was trying to get the cat out, but started rant while at it. "And I bet Matsuno's is one of those people. He helped me, you know? At least, I like to believe he did. When... I left prison... I had nothing. And he took me in. He got me a place to stay... and food... and new clothes." The cat seemed to get calmer as Kazutora spoke. "I don't know why he did this... and deep down, I'm still afraid but..." he gulped. It was hard saying it out loud, but being alone made it easier. "I'm happy he did it anyway."
He only noticed that the cat left the cage when he felt the scratchy tongue lick his face, cleaning a tear that decided to fall down his cheek. He then tried to pet Ron-Ron, who willingly rubbed his head in Kazutora's palm. "You're heavy, huh..." He noticed, as he picked up the pet, just right before Matsuno came back with cat treats in his hands. "Oh." He exclaimed. "You did it. How?" The other shook his shoulders. "I guess... I got to him..." Matsuno took the cat from the other man's arms, wrapping it in his his like it was a baby.
"You took long to come back." Kazutora's comment made Chifuyu look nervous for a second, before giving him a polite smile again.
"I had to go upstairs." He lied. Kazutora felt it, he was sure. But didn't poke it. Matsuno must have his reasons.

The Pain of Healing and Loving
Chapter 1: "Welcome home", from a stranger
Kazutora Hanemiya x Chifuyu Matsuno
Cw: Implicit mention of suicide; Canon character death (mentioned);
Tumblr media
Hanemiya Kazutora was charged for attempting murder, with a sentence of ten years incarcerated. The victim was Baji Keisuke, his best friend. He died so that Kazutora could live, and after ten long and arduous years, he could truly do that. The day was the same as always, but the last of this never ending circle. During morning, he ate breakfast, waited for his turn in the shower, took a quick shower using only the plain shared soap, which helped in nothing with the smell, and went back to his cell. At any given moment, someone would call him and he would finally be free. Except... Kazutora wasn't feeling optimistic about being out. At the beginning, he had plans. It would make everyone happy and everybody's lives easier. If it worked, there was no need to plan further ahead. It would all be at peace. But everytime some thought of sorts crossed his mind, the deep voice of Draken echoed through his brain, asking, ordering, even, to Kazutora to live. "Don't die." Kazutora cried like a baby that day. How could he not? It was because of what Draken said that Kazutora didn't have plans anymore. So, going out of prison turned into a thought with a bittersweet taste. The feeling of not knowing what to do once he was free were swallowing him slowly. Waiting around was also not doing good. Kazutora organized and reorganized his belongings at least thrice. He didn't have much, though. You can never have much in prison. Some notebooks, letters and photos. He read the letters once more. They were mostly from his friends, if he could still call them that. Letters wishing "happy birthday" or "merry Christmas" and other celebrations were the most common. Some from Draken, some from Mitsuya. Even Pah-chin wrote him once or twice. He also got a letter from Takemichi, even not knowing the guy that well. None of them were from Mikey. The most peculiar addresser though, was a guy called Matsuno Chifuyu. Kazutora didn't knew much about him except from Baji's accounts on him and the event of the Valhalla versus Toman, when Baji beat the shit out of him and some days later, died in his arms. They were also the most common. At least once a month. The first ones were really trivial, almost felt like reading a newspapers. After some time, some questions and memories from Baji. Remembering the good times he spent with him always brought good feelings, only for those be smashed by the nauseating reminder that Baji was dead now and almost completely because of him. The letters were also mostly kind letters, wishing him good and to be well. Deep down, Kazutora knew Matsuno was forcing himself to do it. He remembers the heartbroken scream that the boy let out, holding the body of his friend in his. It was certainly traumatizing. Shaking his head to forget the memories, he skimmed the words in the last letter once again. "On a side note: You'll be out soon, aren't you? That's good. I hope to see you soon, Kazutora-kun." A noise surprised the man, taking away the focus in the neat handwriting. "Hanemiya Kazutora. It's your day." A guard called, opening the cell and gesticulating. Kazutora gulped, unsure. Not like he could just stay there. He held his things tightly and walked towards the guard. Of course, there were some bureaucracies. Papers to sign, people to talk, clothes to change. His things, from before being incarcerated, were given back, and he never thought he would be happy to see such a trivial thing like his earring. Unfortunately, it's almost certain that the piercing hole was closed at this point. Sadly, the happiness from the earring faded as quickly as it came, making place for the anxiety that grew as he walked toward the gates. Kazutora's breathing and his steps were almost synchronized, harsh, expectant. He squinted his eyes to the clarity from outside and felt the sun burn his face. The gate was right in front of him. "There's someone waiting for you."  Kazutora turned his face to the guard only slightly, trying not to let him see how anxious he really was. "Probably not." "It wasn't a question." Kazutora stopped for a second, surprised. There was someone waiting for him? Who? He considered the options as the gate got closer and closer, his mind rushing through them. Not his parents. Not Mikey. Maybe Draken or Mitsuya? No, Kazutora doesn't believe they forgave him entirely. He's sure Takemichi was too scared of him to come. The answer soon was revealed, waiting in a black hatchback car, the driver's window down, an arm swinging outside. Black short hair and a pair of greenish blue eyes. "Long time no see, Kazutora-kun." He did not recognized the voice entirely, a bit tougher now, but recognized the face, even if it was more shaped. No longer a boy, but not really different from before. Matsuno Chifuyu. "Need a ride?" Kazutora tightened his grasp around his things, bitting his lips. This couldn't be real. From all the people, the person waiting for him was the one he caused the more trouble to. Chifuyu gave him a smile, trying to light the mood. "C'mon. Hop up." The trip was in almost complete silence. Kazutora held strongly into the chair sides, tense, and avoided to look at Matsuno as much as possible. He could feel that the man was doing the same as well. Only after some time, he felt comfortable enough to let go of the chair and crossed his arms. Not once Kazutora took his vision out of the view of the window. Even though the tension was crushing inside the car, he failed in let the changes around go unnoticed. New markets took the place of old ones. Plates changed their designs, colors changed to brighter ones, prices got higher. Too much information flooded Kazutora's head, making him close his eyes at some point, leaning against the window, hoping that he would be able to take a nap. He did not take a nap, but the time passed way faster. Only when they arrived is that he remembered he didn't asked where they were going. He just got inside the car like it was his only option, instead of asking questions or just walking away. But he didn't want to bother Matsuno. He was being so nice already, Kazutora felt like any question he asked would make him seem ungrateful. Still, he had no idea where they were. "Hope you don't mind sleeping in a futon." Matsuno announced, when they arrived a staircase. Kazutora, who was analyzing the building, blinked to him, staring at his back, confused. "I guess it's better than whatever I had in prison." His voice came huskier than he wanted to. He didn’t talked much those years, so it’s understandable why that happened. Chifuyu let out a shy laugh. "I suppose so." After two flights of stairs, Matsuno took his keys out of his pocket and opened the first door at the corridor, but didn't enter right away, waiting for the other. The place was quite simple, but had enough. Beige walls and a nice wood floor, cold even under Kazutora's socks. The room had a TV, a shack, a center table, one of those for when it's cold, and blue sofas. In one of them, a big, sloppy, black cat rested comfortably. Everything felt so... casual. The type of casual Kazutora wasn't very familiar with, the one he only really had in dreams. The one he felt in the house of another. "The kitchen is that way." Chifuyu pointed, introducing the place. "And there's a bathroom in the end of the corridor. There's only one room here, though, I apologize." Kazutora was still processing things, slowly. Everything felt too much to him. The car was too much. The house was too much. Matsuno, specially, was too much. How could he not mind Kazutora? After all he did? Kazutora felt almost angry at the other for that. "I'll get the futon." Chifuyu excused himself to his room, only to be called back by Hanemiya. "Can I really stay?" Even himself could believe asked. Gratefully, Matsuno just smiled, comforting. At least, that looked like he was trying to look that way. "As long as you need to." Chifuyu left, leaving Kazutora alone in the room, thinking to himself. Maybe it won't be so bad.

Calming Peck
Miya Osamu x Suna Rintarou
Cw: None!
Tumblr media
After the long game, Inarizaki team got in the bus to go back home. It was pretty late, and everybody was really tired, making the vehicle a nice place to take a nap. Almost everyone were asleep, except for Suna Rintaro and Osamu Miya. They were sitting next to each other, both with red eyes from crying earlier this day. Even so, Suna couldn't help but get stuck in the glimpse in Osamu's eyes. Such a melancholic glimmer, giving the feeling of vulnerability. Osamu sniffle once again. Suna felt his heart tighten a bit. Even if he found joy in other people misery, this time, he couldn't feel happiness at all. Maybe he should do something. Maybe he has the guts to do so. Maybe, reaching Osamu's face, obliging the Miya to look at him was the right choice. "'Samu." The fact that he didn't though this trough made things a bit awkward, but he already made a move, so better finish it. Suna should have said that everything's will be alright, or that he shouldn't worry about it, but with the panic increasing in his chest, he just leaned in and then. Suna kissed Osamu. A light kiss on his lips. It was just for a mere second, but even when separated, he got the tingling in his lips. Osamu's eyes were widened, shocked, and made Suna question if what he did was the right choice the second tears felt down on his face. He tried to apologize. "Fuck, 'Samu, I'm so-" Osamu hugged him tight, like he would never let go. Suna's not a touchy person, but the warmth made him soft, hugging back Osamu, not with the same strength, but the same passion. "Thank you."

Hi!
I’m not a extraordinary writer, but I have lots of ideas and I’m tired of keeping them only for me, so I’m going to post them here.
Know that I’m just writing for fun, and English is not my first language, so there might be some sentences a bit off.
I’ll tag my writing as “#goldwrites”.
Masterlist
Hope you enjoy it.
