Tonight will be the actual last stand of the Blue Krakens. Two Christmases ago I purchased the Blue Kraken shirts for our entire group since that was the name of our adventuring/merchant group. My youngest child drew that picture of my character, Zelpha the Sun Elf Wizard turned Goddess. And I'm rocking my Sailor Mars socks for some extra fire power this evening. I'm sad, but it's been a good three year run.

Soooooooo... Chaipunk.

This is a good ship name, a great one even! Super short, catchy, rolls off the tongue, so why don't some people like it?

The problem with chaipunk is the 'chai', Pavitr's shipping prefix (or whatever they're called ykwim). Some fans of ATSV are kinda iffed at the fact that Pavitr mentioned chai barely twice, and it became his whole Thing.

I see why people did this, but in reality Pavitr talked about chai for less than 20 seconds in the whole 8 minutes we saw him. That, I don't think, warrants chai being his ship-word.

What should it be?

Gold.

Gold represents Pavitr more as a Person than chai does. Gold is what we think of when we think of 'flawless' or 'perfect'. What is Pavitr most compared to being? Flawless and perfect. Gold. The Golden Boy.

Gold is not only symbolic, it fits well with the ship names we already have, in place of chai, since it's still only one syllable.

Goldpunk, Goldflower, Goldsong (pretty sure song is Gayatri), Goldghost (whatever floats your boat). It's so much more symbolic, descriptive, and representative of Pavitr than chai.

I doubt this'll get much attention, but if you do see this, and somehow read it all, keep it in mind, please!

And just for future reference, I don't mean any offense by this, I don't speak for everyone, and I just want to bring some attention to this topic the only way I know how.

Make all the black parts of the clothing white, have bubbles coming out of the pipe, and the ears a bit more elf-like and this is what I have long envisioned my elven wizard (now sun goddess), Zelpha Goldflower, looking like. Every Friday that we get to play D&D from here on it could very well be the last stand of the Blue Krakens. And the ultimate end of me playing this character. Nearly a three year run. Hopefully, it is a good death or retirement into full goddesshood.
