A golden memory

A tree has fallen in the back of my house. Now that I look at the space where it once stood, I wonder, "How did it look before, when the tree was still there?"

It was a mighty golden wattle that my dad planted, when I was little, and he used to travel around the state. On one of those trips, he came home with a little golden wattle.

Now I'll miss its golden flowers during the winter, the view of its green leaves from my desk, and I'll miss my dad every time I see that empty space where that tall, mighty golden wattle once stood.

Tea got married to Gouche Panoroma (made by @pixelatedparticles​), moved to Gooseberry Brook (Glimmerbrook) (finding it has a magical vibe perfect for writing and painting) and they are expecting a little one.

Carver and Marigold are YA's who still love at home, they don't really mind it though as neither of them has a desire to permanently settle down with someone (Marigold is unflirty, Carver is a Villainous Valentine, he'd rather break up a marriage)
