ik ur in ur reo phase BUT HEAR ME OUT EARTH ONLY YOU CAN DO THIS
rin ACCIDENTALLY publicizing ur relationship bec mf got jealous as hell when ur face appeared in the kiss cam IN HIS GAME??????? WITH A RANDOM GUY AND WAS HE FUMING??? YOU AND I KNOW HE WAS THROWIN HANDS
thats all
I'M HEARING YOU OUT. warning for unrealistic scenario, i wrote this in like 20 minutes so it's unedited :p apologies for any mistakes.
imagine being rin's secret partner, the one he keeps behind closed doors because he values you too much to let the invasive eyes of the internet see. he values your relationship too much to let it get tarnished by social media, so he hides any affiliation with you like his life depends on it, only to come home and shower you with the adoration and affection he wishes he could show to the rest of the world.
in the spotlight, he is itoshi rin, japan's prized striker, their golden player, but when he's out of the spotlight, he is your lover. the man who drapes himself over you when things get too rough and he needs a breather. he is yours to cherish, where you have to change your phone wallpaper every other week because there's so many good photos of you two. he is yours to love, he is yours to go to when you feel too lonely, he is yours.
but also imagine, itoshi rin's jealousy and possessiveness no longer being able to rest at bay. it'd been accumulating for the past few weeks, this desire to show you off and boast that it's him who gets to know you like no other.
then the cup overfills, his jealousy tearing him by the seams that he loosely stitched together to withhold this carnal beast resting within him.
all because of a damn kiss cam.
you had been sitting in the vip section of the stadium- where special members are granted tickets, and even though you tell rin that it's fine for you to just sit in the general area, he refuses and tells you that he's bought you the ticket anyway. leaving you with no room for arguments. well. not that there was any to begin with.
anyways, you'd just so happen to sit next to someone who bought vip tickets with no affiliation with any blue lock members. you think he's just a die hard fan, so when he asks you if you like them, you lie and say that you won these tickets at a raffle.
the guy wasn't the most favourable person ever, in fact, you found yourself awkwardly responding to what he was saying, sometimes giving him short and succinct replies because of how... weird... he was. not to be disrespectful but you did not like his vibes. you just hope these 90 minutes can be over quickly.
yeah well, how funny is it that the kiss cam lands on you and the insufferable guy beside you?
you're mortified when you see it on the screen but the person beside you doesn't warrant the same reaction. immediately, he turns to face you, anticipation heavy on his features. in fact, he looks rather... excited...
"no, no, i have a boyfriend, i-" you begin abruptly as he leans in and you have no choice but to helplessly lean back, evading his lips and delaying it as much as you can. you even try rejecting him by frantically waving your hands, panicked and unsure of what to do.
until you hear him.
"back. the. fuck. off!" comes a shout from the pitch; the voice very familiar to your ears that you can't help but instantly relax from hearing it.
your seat was relatively close to the field which meant that those around you could hear the distinct voice of itoshi rin ripping through the air, fury evident and baring its fangs as he all but punches the barrier with each word.
however, everyone in the stadium could see itoshi rin as all cameras pan to him, witnessing his wrath as he shouts from the top of his voice. everyone around you is silent and you don't know whether you want to shrivel up into the ground or run to him and embrace him as tightly as you can. to find sanctuary in his warmth, away from the pushy guy who can't wrap his head around the idea that no means no.
itoshi rin decides for you, effortlessly jumping over the (considerably high???) barrier and making a beeline for you, skipping some stairs. thank goodness for a side seat because he comes to a stop before you, adrenaline still coursing through his veins as he looks at you with heated passion, huffing and puffing.
"rin?" you whisper. he doesn't hear it, looking up at the various stadium screens to see if the kiss cams were still on you. smirking in satisfaction when he realises they are, rin all but pulls you up from your seat and kisses you with so much intensity and fervour that you feel lightheaded. very much so.
the stadium is cheering but you can't focus on it, not when rin's holding you to him so closely, practically trying to meld you to him. not even trying to push him away is enough to snap him out of whatever primal instinct has taken over him, so you grab his face and jerk away from him, not wanting to get too carried away.
before you can utter a word, rin looks behind you, and the coldness in his expression says everything you need to know.
he doesn’t care about dignity at this point. he just needed the world to know that you were his.
"you're dead if you try that again, you lukewarm fuckface," he then turns to you. you shiver from the intensity of his gaze. "i'll kill him next time," he promises before hugging you close to him once again, practically glaring at the cameras. "i'll kill anyone who tries to get to close."

Running into You
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Synopsis: You're just an ordinary person, but your life is about to take an extraordinary turn. Your friend Somi, a die-hard Blackpink fan, drags you to their concert. You stumble upon a quiet backstage area and bump into none other than Rosé, the main vocalist.
Word Count:6.9K (long one)
Tumblr media
The afternoon sun filtered through the curtains of your living room, casting a soft, golden glow over the space. You were curled up on the couch with a book, trying to lose yourself in its pages, but your attention kept drifting. The words blurred together, the story losing its grip on you as your thoughts wandered.
Lately, everything seemed to have fallen into a predictable pattern, one that you couldn't quite break free from. Work, home, the occasional hangout with Somi, and then back to the routine. It wasn't that you were unhappy—just... stuck. There was a restlessness growing inside you, a need for something different, something that would shake up the monotony of your life.
"Why do you look like you're about to fall asleep?" Somi's voice cut through your reverie, pulling you back to the present. She was sitting cross-legged on the floor in front of the coffee table, her laptop open with several tabs displaying concert dates, fan forums, and YouTube videos.
You glanced up, startled by her sudden question. "I'm not about to fall asleep," you replied, closing the book with a sigh. "I'm just... not into this book, I guess."
Somi's eyes sparkled with that mischievous look she often had when she was up to something. "Maybe you need to do something more exciting tonight," she suggested, her voice light but full of energy.
You raised an eyebrow, curious but cautious. "Like what?"
"Like coming to a concert with me," she said, her grin widening as she leaned forward, clearly excited about whatever she had planned. "There's this band I've been dying to see live, and I've got an extra ticket. You should totally come with me!"
You frowned slightly, hesitating. "A concert? I don't know, Somi. You know I'm not really into crowds, and I don't even know who this band is."
Somi rolled her eyes, clearly having anticipated your reluctance. "Come on, it's Blackpink! Even if you're not familiar with them, I promise you'll have a good time. Their shows are legendary, and the energy is just insane. Plus, it's been forever since we did something fun together outside of this apartment."
"Blackpink?" you repeated, the name vaguely familiar, though you couldn't place it. You might have seen it online somewhere, but you couldn't recall ever listening to their music. "I don't know..."
Somi wasn't one to give up easily. She moved closer, her tone becoming more persuasive. "Please? It'll be a blast! And who knows, maybe you'll even meet someone interesting." She winked, the playful grin on her face impossible to resist.
You chuckled, leaning back against the couch as you played along. "Oh yeah? You think I'm going to find the love of my life at a concert?"
"Hey, it could happen!" Somi teased, nudging you with her foot. "I mean, you're single, ready to mingle, and you've been in a bit of a rut lately. What better place to shake things up?"
You rolled your eyes, but the smile tugging at your lips betrayed your amusement. "Right, because that's exactly how these things work."
Somi's grin only grew wider. "You never know! Besides, I've got a good feeling about this one. Who knows, maybe you'll even catch one of the members' eyes. There's this one, Rosé—I think you'd really like her."
"Rosé?" you repeated, trying to remember if you'd ever heard that name before. "Is she famous or something?"
Somi nodded eagerly. "Yup! She's the main vocalist, and she's absolutely gorgeous. I've always thought you two would be a perfect match."
You laughed, shaking your head in disbelief. "Now you're really dreaming. What would someone like her see in someone like me?"
"Don't sell yourself short," Somi said, her tone becoming more sincere. "You're smart, kind, and beautiful. Anyone would be lucky to be with you."
You smiled softly at her words, feeling a warmth spread through your chest. Somi always knew how to lift your spirits. "Thanks, Somi. But still, it's not exactly realistic, is it?"
"Maybe not," Somi admitted with a shrug. "But hey, at least come for the music and the experience. If nothing else, you'll get to see what all the hype is about."
You considered her words carefully. The prospect of something new, something different, was tempting. Maybe a night out was exactly what you needed to break the monotony.
"Alright," you finally said, giving in with a smile. "I'll go with you."
Somi's face lit up with excitement. "Yes! You won't regret it, I promise."
— — — —
The days leading up to the concert seemed to fly by, with Somi's enthusiasm never wavering. She tried to introduce you to Blackpink's music, playing their songs while you both worked around the apartment or during your commute together, but the details mostly flew over your head. The melodies were catchy, but with your busy schedule, you never really took the time to learn the names or faces behind the voices.
Each evening, after work or on lazy weekends, Somi would excitedly share a new song or music video, pointing out her favorite moments, but you only half-listened. It wasn't that you weren't interested; it was more that the music felt like background noise to everything else happening in your life. There was always something else to focus on—work deadlines, family obligations, and the usual demands of daily life.
But as the concert date approached, you couldn't help but notice a growing sense of anticipation within yourself. Maybe it was Somi's infectious excitement, or perhaps it was just the idea of doing something out of the ordinary, but you found yourself looking forward to the night more than you had initially expected.
The night of the concert arrived faster than you expected. As you and Somi got ready in your apartment, the excitement in the air was palpable. Somi was practically bouncing off the walls as she applied the finishing touches to her makeup.
"You look amazing," you said as you watched her in the mirror, genuinely impressed by her ability to transform her look for the occasion. Somi had gone all out, wearing a stylish outfit that perfectly captured the concert vibe—bold, chic, and a little edgy.
"Thanks! So do you," she replied, turning to give you a once-over. "See? I knew you'd get into the spirit of things."
You glanced at your reflection, feeling a bit more confident in your outfit. Somi had helped you pick out something that made you feel good—something that was still very much you but with a bit of flair. For the first time in a while, you actually felt excited about going out.
As you slipped into your jacket, you caught a glimpse of yourself in the mirror. There was something different about you tonight—a spark that you hadn't seen in a long time. It wasn't just the outfit or the makeup; it was the idea of stepping out of your comfort zone, of embracing something new.
"Okay, let's go before I change my mind," you joked, grabbing your jacket as you headed for the door.
Somi laughed, linking her arm with yours as you left the apartment. "No backing out now! We've got a concert to catch, and who knows? Maybe you'll even run into Rosé.”
You rolled your eyes playfully. "Yeah, because that's totally going to happen."
The journey to the concert venue was filled with a mix of excitement and nerves. Somi kept the conversation light, chatting about her favorite songs and how incredible the band was live. You listened with a smile, feeling more at ease with each passing minute, even if you couldn't quite keep track of all the band details she was throwing at you.
As you got closer to the venue, you could feel the energy around you intensifying. The streets were crowded with fans dressed in various shades of pink, holding signs and light sticks, all buzzing with anticipation. The atmosphere was infectious, and despite your earlier reservations, you could feel your own excitement starting to build.
"This is crazy," you muttered as you and Somi made your way through the throngs of people.
"Isn't it great?" Somi replied, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "This is what it's all about—the atmosphere, the anticipation, the music. It's going to be amazing."
The crowd outside the venue was massive, with fans buzzing with anticipation as they waited to get inside. The energy was contagious, and for the first time, you felt a genuine thrill of excitement.
As you approached the entrance, you could feel your nerves creeping in again. The noise, the crowd, the unfamiliarity of it all—it was a lot to take in. Somi must have sensed your apprehension because she gave your hand a reassuring squeeze.
"Hey, if it gets too much, just let me know, okay?" she said, her tone gentle. "We can take breaks, step outside if you need to. I want you to have a good time, not feel overwhelmed."
You nodded, grateful for her understanding. "Thanks, Somi. I appreciate it."
Once inside the venue, the atmosphere was electric. The stage was set up with massive screens and lights, and the anticipation in the air was almost tangible. You and Somi found a spot with a decent view, and as you settled in, you started to feel a bit more comfortable. But as the minutes ticked by, the noise and the crush of the crowd began to get to you.
The venue was buzzing with life, the energy palpable as fans eagerly awaited the start of the show. You glanced around, taking in the sight of people decked out in merchandise—T-shirts, hats, light sticks—all proudly displaying their love for Blackpink. It was a world you didn't fully understand yet, but there was something exhilarating about being a part of it.
Somi was in her element, chatting excitedly with a group of fans nearby who were just as hyped as she was. You tried to focus on the conversation, but the noise and the sheer volume of people were starting to feel overwhelming. The venue, which had felt so thrilling moments before, was now beginning to press in on you, the weight of the crowd a little too much.
You took a deep breath, trying to ground yourself. "I'm going to step outside for a bit, just to clear my head before the show starts," you told Somi, hoping she wouldn't mind.
She looked at you with concern but quickly nodded, understanding. "Sure thing," she said, giving you a thumbs up. "Just don't take too long! You don't want to miss a second of this."
You smiled, appreciating her concern, and started to make your way through the crowd. It took longer than you anticipated, weaving through the throngs of people all eagerly chatting and finding their spots. But eventually, you reached the exit and stepped outside, into the cool night air.
The contrast was immediate and stark. The noise of the venue was replaced by the quiet hum of the city at night, the air cool against your skin. You took a deep breath, savoring the stillness, the way the world seemed to slow down out here. It was a much-needed reprieve from the overwhelming energy inside.
You walked for a bit, letting the tension in your shoulders ease as you moved further away from the noise and the crowd. The streets around the venue were quieter, less chaotic than you expected. You turned a corner and found yourself in a small, dimly lit alleyway. It wasn't particularly scenic, but it was peaceful, and right now, that was exactly what you needed.
Leaning against the wall, you closed your eyes for a moment, letting the quiet wash over you. The city sounds were distant, muted—cars in the distance, the faint murmur of voices, the occasional breeze rustling the leaves of a nearby tree. It was a soothing backdrop, one that allowed your mind to slow down and process everything.
You hadn't realized how much you needed this, this moment of solitude. The excitement of the evening, while exhilarating, had also been draining. But here, in the stillness of the night, you could finally breathe, let go of the nerves that had been building up.
Your thoughts began to wander, unbidden, back to Somi's words earlier. About Rosé. You couldn't help but smile to yourself. It was a sweet thought—Somi's belief that you and a global superstar could somehow be a perfect match. It was unrealistic, sure, but it was nice to have someone believe in you like that, even if it was just in jest.
The idea of meeting someone like Rosé felt like a distant dream, something far removed from the life you knew. But in the quiet of the alley, with nothing but your thoughts for company, it didn't seem so far-fetched. You let yourself imagine it for a moment—what it would be like to meet someone who could see you, really see you, beyond the surface. Someone who could connect with you in a way that felt real and meaningful.
You shook your head, laughing softly to yourself. "Get a grip," you muttered under your breath, pushing off the wall. This was silly, getting lost in such thoughts. It was just a concert, just a night out. Nothing more, nothing less.
But as you began to make your way back toward the venue, something caught your eye. The door to a side entrance was slightly ajar, light spilling out into the alleyway. Curious, you hesitated, wondering if you should take a peek inside. It was probably just a maintenance entrance or something equally mundane, but the idea of stepping into a quieter part of the venue was appealing.
With a quick glance around, you gently pushed the door open and slipped inside. The hallway was dimly lit, the sound of the concert preparations muffled in the distance. It was a stark contrast to the chaos outside, a pocket of calm in the midst of the storm.
You wandered down the hallway, the cool air inside a welcome change from the warmth of the crowd. There was something almost surreal about the quiet here, like you'd stepped into a different world entirely. It was a world where the noise and chaos of the concert didn't exist, where you could just be, without any expectations or pressures.
As you rounded a corner, lost in thought, you collided with someone. The impact was gentle but unexpected, and you both stumbled slightly, caught off guard.
"Oh, I'm so sorry!" you exclaimed, your hands coming up instinctively to steady the other person. "I wasn't paying attention, and—"
"It's okay," a soft voice interrupted, gentle and reassuring. "Really, no harm done."
You looked up, and your breath caught in your throat. The woman standing in front of you was stunning. She had long, blonde hair that cascaded over her shoulders, and her eyes sparkled with a warmth that immediately put you at ease. There was something ethereal about her, something that made the world around her seem to blur at the edges.
"Are you sure?" you asked, still flustered as you took a step back to give her some space. "I wasn't paying attention, and I—"
"I'm sure," she said, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "I've been in your shoes before—lost in thought and bumping into random people. It happens."
You let out a small, relieved laugh. "Well, I'm still sorry. I don't usually run into people like that."
"It's no big deal," she replied, her tone soft and kind. "Like I said, it happens. You're not hurt, right?"
You shook your head, still a little stunned. "No, I'm fine. Just... a little embarrassed."
"Don't be," she said, her smile widening a fraction. "It's actually kind of nice, having a normal interaction for once."
You blinked, caught off guard by her words. "Nice?"
"Yeah," she said, her voice taking on a thoughtful tone. "It's not often I get to just... be, you know? Without all the noise and expectations."
You nodded slowly, trying to process what she was saying. There was something about her, something in the way she spoke, that made you feel like you were in on a secret, like she was sharing something with you that she didn't often share with others.
"So, are you here for the concert?" you asked, hoping to steer the conversation into safer territory.
She nodded, her smile returning. "Yeah, I'm here for the concert."
"Me too," you said, relaxing a little now that the conversation had found its footing. "Well, sort of. My friend dragged me along. She's a huge fan of this band, but I don't really know much about them."
She chuckled softly, the sound warm and comforting. "That's actually kind of nice. You get to experience it all for the first time, without any preconceived notions.”
"Yeah, I guess so," you agreed, though you still felt a little out of place. "It's just a little intimidating, you know? Everyone else seems to know so much about them, and I'm just here trying to figure it all out."
"That's the beauty of it," she said, her tone light but sincere. "You get to see everything with fresh eyes. It's a rare thing, and it makes the experience all the more special."
You found yourself smiling at her words, feeling a warmth spread through your chest. There was something about her that made you want to keep talking, to keep this conversation going, but you weren't sure what to say next. The silence between you was comfortable, though, filled with a sense of understanding that didn't require words.
"So, what do you think so far?" she asked after a moment, her eyes curious.
"About what?" you replied, a little caught off guard.
"About the whole experience," she clarified, her smile softening. "The concert, the music... everything."
You took a moment to think about it, trying to put your feelings into words. "It's... overwhelming," you admitted. "But in a good way, I think. I didn't expect to feel so much... energy."
She nodded, her expression thoughtful. "It can be a lot to take in, especially if you're not used to it. But that's what makes it so powerful, I think. It's this shared experience, this connection between everyone in the room, all feeling the same thing."
You looked at her, really looked at her, and for a moment, it felt like the world had narrowed down to just the two of you. There was something in her eyes, something deep and genuine, that made your heart skip a beat. You wanted to ask her more, to keep this connection going, but the words didn't come.
Finally, she broke the silence, her voice gentle. "I should probably get back. The show's going to start soon."
You nodded, though you felt a strange reluctance to let this moment end. "Yeah, I should too."
She smiled at you, a smile that seemed to hold a thousand unspoken words, and for a moment, you thought about asking her to stay, to talk a little longer. But before you could find the courage, she turned to leave.
"Maybe I'll see you around?" you found yourself saying, the words slipping out before you could stop them.
She paused, turning back to look at you, her eyes soft. "Maybe," she said, her voice holding a promise that made your heart flutter.
And then she was gone, disappearing down the hallway and leaving you standing there, wondering what had just happened. You felt like you'd just experienced something rare, something precious, but you weren't sure what to do with it.
You stood there for a moment longer, trying to collect your thoughts before heading back to the concert. As you made your way through the crowd to find Somi, your mind kept replaying the encounter, the way her eyes had seemed to see right through you, the way her smile had made you feel like you were the only person in the world.
When you finally found Somi, she was practically vibrating with excitement, her eyes wide as she talked to a group of fans. "There you are! You almost missed it!"
You forced a smile, trying to push the encounter out of your mind, at least for now. "Sorry, I got a little lost."
Somi waved it off, too excited to care. "No worries! Come on, the show's about to start!"
You followed her into the crowd, but your thoughts kept drifting back to the woman in the hallway. There was something about her that you couldn't shake, something that made you feel like you'd just missed out on something important.
As the lights dimmed and the crowd erupted into cheers, you tried to focus on the stage, on the music, on the experience that Somi had been so eager to share with you. But your mind kept drifting back to the woman in the hallway, to the way she had looked at you, like she had seen something in you that even you hadn't noticed.
And then the music started, and the stage lights came up, and you found yourself staring at the group on stage. The woman from the hallway was standing in the center, microphone in hand, her voice soaring over the crowd. Your breath caught in your throat as you realized who she was.
She was Rosé.
And she had been singing just for you.
— — — — —
You stood frozen, your eyes glued to the stage as Rosé sang. The realization of who she was—and who you had just been speaking to—sent a shockwave through you. Her voice was even more powerful in person, filling the entire venue with a warmth and intensity that made your heart race.
Next to you, Somi was cheering loudly, completely caught up in the performance. But you were still processing everything, your mind racing as you watched Rosé move effortlessly across the stage. She was captivating, her presence commanding every bit of attention from the audience, yet all you could think about was the conversation you'd had just minutes ago.
You hadn't recognized her. How could you have not recognized her?
The thought was both embarrassing and oddly exhilarating. You'd spoken to Rosé, not as a fan, not as someone who knew everything about her, but as yourself. And she had spoken to you, not as a celebrity, but as a person. The memory of her eyes meeting yours, the warmth in her voice—it all felt so surreal now.
As the performance continued, you found yourself unable to tear your gaze away from her. Every note she sang, every movement she made, seemed to resonate with you on a deeper level. It was like she was speaking directly to you through the music, and for a moment, the crowded venue and the thousands of fans faded away, leaving just the two of you.
But then the song ended, and the crowd erupted into applause, snapping you out of your reverie. You glanced at Somi, who was practically glowing with excitement, completely oblivious to the inner turmoil you were experiencing.
"This is amazing!" Somi shouted over the noise, grabbing your arm. "Aren't they incredible?"
"Yeah," you replied, your voice a little shaky. "They really are."
Somi didn't seem to notice your unease, too caught up in the next song as it started. But you couldn't shake the feeling that something had shifted. Rosé was right there, on that stage, singing her heart out—and yet, all you could think about was the brief, fleeting connection you'd shared with her backstage.
As the concert went on, you tried to focus on the music, on the energy of the crowd, but your thoughts kept drifting back to her. You kept replaying your conversation in your head, analyzing every word, every look, trying to make sense of what had happened.
Had she recognized you? Did she know that you didn't realize who she was? Was that why she had seemed so intrigued by you?
The questions swirled in your mind, making it hard to focus on anything else. Even as the concert reached its peak, with the crowd singing along and the lights flashing in time with the music, you felt a strange sense of detachment, like you were watching everything from a distance.
It wasn't until the final song that you finally managed to pull yourself back into the moment. The music slowed, and the stage lights dimmed, casting the group in a soft, golden glow. Rosé stepped forward, her voice filling the venue with a hauntingly beautiful melody that sent chills down your spine.
You watched her, completely mesmerized. There was something raw and vulnerable in the way she sang, something that seemed to echo the conversation you'd had earlier. It was like she was laying herself bare for the world to see, and yet, somehow, it felt like she was singing just for you.
As the song came to an end, Rosé's eyes swept over the crowd, and for a brief, heart-stopping moment, they met yours. You held your breath, wondering if she recognized you, if she remembered the conversation you'd had. But then her gaze moved on, and the moment was over, leaving you with a strange mix of emotions that you couldn't quite untangle.
The concert ended with a final burst of energy, the crowd erupting into applause as the group took their bows. You clapped along with everyone else, but your mind was still elsewhere, lost in the whirlwind of thoughts and feelings that Rosé had stirred up.
As the lights came up and the crowd began to disperse, Somi turned to you, her face flushed with excitement. "That was incredible! I'm so glad you came with me!"
"Yeah, it was amazing," you agreed, though your voice lacked the enthusiasm that Somi's held.
She didn't seem to notice, still buzzing with the afterglow of the concert. "We should totally do this again sometime! I can't believe how good they were live!"
You nodded, forcing a smile. "Definitely."
But as you made your way out of the venue, your thoughts kept drifting back to Rosé. The concert was over, but the memory of your encounter with her lingered, leaving you with a sense of unfinished business, like there was something more to be said, something more to be done.
You couldn't shake the feeling that you'd missed an opportunity, that there was something important that had been left unsaid. And as you and Somi walked through the crowd, your mind raced with possibilities, wondering if you'd ever get the chance to speak to her again.
— — — — —
The ride home was a blur of neon lights and distant chatter. Somi was still gushing about the concert, replaying her favorite moments and showing you clips she'd captured on her phone. You tried to engage, to share in her excitement, but your mind was elsewhere, still stuck in that dimly lit hallway where you'd spoken to Rosé.
By the time you arrived back at your apartment, Somi had finally started to wind down. She flopped onto the couch with a satisfied sigh, scrolling through her phone for more Blackpink content.
"That was seriously one of the best nights ever," she said, glancing up at you with a grin. "Thanks for coming with me."
"I'm glad I did," you replied, and you meant it. Despite the overwhelming emotions, there was something about the night that felt... significant.
Somi yawned, clearly exhausted from all the excitement. "I think I'm going to crash," she said, standing up and stretching. "But we should totally talk about this tomorrow. I want to hear all your thoughts about the concert."
You nodded, watching as she headed to her room, leaving you alone with your thoughts. The apartment was quiet now, the only sound the faint hum of traffic outside. You sank onto the couch, finally allowing yourself to process everything that had happened.
Your mind kept drifting back to Rosé, to the way she had looked at you, the way her voice had sounded in that quiet hallway. There was something about the encounter that you couldn't shake, something that felt unfinished.
Without really thinking, you pulled out your phone and opened up a search engine, typing in "Rosé Blackpink" out of curiosity. As the search results popped up, you were greeted with countless images of her—performing on stage, attending events, posing for photoshoots. She looked just as stunning in the photos as she had in person, but there was something different about the woman you'd met.
In the photos, she was polished, poised, the image of a global superstar. But the Rosé you had spoken to in the hallway had been different—more relaxed,
more real. There had been a vulnerability in her eyes, a warmth in her smile, that you hadn't expected.
You found yourself scrolling through the images, searching for that same warmth, that same realness, but it wasn't there. In the photos, she was Rosé, the idol, the star, but in the hallway, she had just been... herself.
As you continued to scroll, you came across a video of the concert you had just attended. Curious, you clicked on it, watching as the camera panned over the crowd before zooming in on the stage. The energy of the concert was palpable, even through the screen, but your focus was solely on Rosé.
The video captured the final song, the one where Rosé had looked out into the crowd, her voice filled with emotion. You watched as she sang, her eyes sweeping over the audience, and for a moment, you could almost convince yourself that she was looking at you.
But as the video continued, you noticed something that made your heart skip a beat. Just before the song ended, Rosé glanced off to the side of the stage, her expression shifting subtly. It was a brief moment, barely noticeable, but it felt significant.
You replayed the video, watching that moment over and over, trying to decipher the meaning behind it. Was she looking for someone? Was she thinking about your conversation? Or was it just a trick of the camera, a coincidence that meant nothing?
The questions swirled in your mind, making it impossible to focus on anything else. You tried to push them away, telling yourself that it was just a chance encounter, that it didn't mean anything, but the doubts lingered.
Finally, you set your phone down, running a hand through your hair with a frustrated sigh. You needed to stop overthinking this. It had been a moment, a brief, fleeting moment, and nothing more.
But as you lay in bed that night, staring up at the ceiling, you couldn't help but wonder. What if it had been more? What if there was something deeper, something that you hadn't fully grasped?
The questions haunted you as you drifted off to sleep, leaving you with a strange sense of anticipation, like you were standing on the edge of something important, something life-changing, but you didn't know what it was.
— — — —
The next morning, you woke up feeling restless, the events of the previous night still fresh in your mind. Somi was already up, humming to herself as she made breakfast, but you couldn't bring yourself to join her. Instead, you grabbed your phone and headed out to the small balcony attached to your apartment, hoping the fresh air would help clear your head.
As you stood outside, your thoughts drifted back to the concert, to Rosé, and to the way she had looked at you. There was something about that moment, about the way she had spoken to you, that you couldn't shake. It felt like there was more to it, something left unsaid, something unfinished.
You stared out at the city, trying to piece together the puzzle of the night before. Why had Rosé taken the time to talk to you? Why had she seemed so different from the image you had of her—a global superstar with thousands of fans at her feet? The encounter felt significant, but you couldn't put your finger on why.
Somi's voice pulled you from your thoughts. "Hey, you okay out there?" she called from the kitchen.
"Yeah," you replied, though your voice lacked conviction. "Just thinking."
Somi appeared in the doorway, leaning against the frame as she looked at you with concern. "You've been quiet since last night. Did something happen?"
You hesitated, not sure how to explain what you were feeling. "It's nothing, really. Just... processing, I guess."
She gave you a knowing smile. "The concert was pretty intense, huh? I saw the way you were watching the stage. It's like you were in a trance."
You nodded, your thoughts drifting back to Rosé's performance, the way her voice had wrapped around you, pulling you into a world where only the two of you existed. "Yeah... something like that."
Somi grinned, pushing off the doorframe. "I knew you'd come around! I'll make a Blinks fan out of you yet."
You forced a laugh, trying to match her enthusiasm, but the unease lingered. There was something more to last night, something you couldn't quite grasp. And it was gnawing at you, refusing to let go.
After breakfast, you decided to take a walk to clear your head. You needed to get out, to think, to figure out what was bothering you so much. Somi offered to come with you, but you declined, telling her you needed some time alone.
The streets were quieter than usual, the weekend morning lulling the city into a slow start. You wandered aimlessly, your feet carrying you without direction, your mind replaying every detail of the night before. The way Rosé had looked at you, the way she had smiled—there was something there, something that made you feel seen in a way you hadn't expected.
As you turned a corner, your thoughts still tangled, you nearly bumped into someone coming from the opposite direction. You looked up, an apology ready on your lips, but the words died in your throat when you saw who it was.
It was Rosé.
She was standing right in front of you, dressed casually in jeans and a simple jacket, a baseball cap pulled low over her eyes. For a moment, neither of you moved, both caught off guard by the sudden encounter.
"Hi," she said, her voice soft, almost hesitant.
"Hi," you echoed, your heart pounding in your chest. You couldn't believe it—what were the chances?
Rosé looked around, as if checking to see if anyone was watching, then back at you, a small smile tugging at her lips. "I didn't expect to see you again so soon."
"Me neither," you replied, your mind racing to catch up with the situation. "Are you... are you following me?"
Her eyes widened in surprise, then she laughed, a sound so genuine and warm that it made your heart flutter. "No, not at all. I'm just... I don't know. I guess it's fate or something."
"Fate?" you repeated, the word hanging between you like a question that neither of you could answer.
She nodded, her smile fading into something more serious. "Yeah, maybe. Or maybe I just... I don't know, wanted to see you again."
Your breath caught in your throat. There was something in her eyes, something that made you feel like this moment was teetering on the edge of something bigger, something you couldn't quite grasp.
Before you could respond, she glanced around again, her expression shifting. "Listen, I know this might sound strange, but... would you mind walking with me for a bit? I'd like to talk, if that's okay."
You hesitated, still trying to wrap your mind around the fact that Rosé was standing in front of you, asking to spend more time together. "Sure," you finally managed to say, your voice barely above a whisper.
She smiled, a genuine smile that seemed to reach her eyes, and motioned for you to follow her. The two of you started walking, side by side, the city moving around you as if in a different world. Neither of you spoke at first, the silence between you comfortable, but charged with anticipation.
As you walked, Rosé glanced over at you, her expression contemplative. "You know, I don't get to do this often," she said quietly.
"Do what?" you asked, curious.
"Just... be myself," she replied, her voice tinged with a hint of vulnerability. "Away from the cameras, the expectations. It's nice to have a conversation without all the noise."
You nodded, feeling a deep sense of connection to her words. "I can imagine. It must be exhausting, always being in the spotlight."
"It is," she admitted, her eyes distant for a moment. "But last night... talking to you, it felt different. Like I could just be me."
There was a softness in her tone, something that made your heart ache with a strange mix of emotions. You wanted to say something, to tell her that you felt the same, but the words were stuck in your throat.
The two of you continued walking until you found yourselves in front of a small, cozy café tucked away in a quiet corner of the city. It was the kind of place that looked like it was straight out of a postcard, with ivy creeping up the walls and a charming little sign that swung gently in the breeze.
Rosé hesitated at the entrance, then turned to you with a smile. "Do you want to grab a coffee? My treat.”
"Sure," you replied, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness.
The café was warm and inviting, with the scent of freshly brewed coffee filling the air. Rosé led you to a table in the corner, away from the few other patrons, and the two of you sat down, the atmosphere between you comfortable, but still tinged with something unspoken.
As you both sipped your drinks, the conversation began to flow more easily. Rosé was surprisingly down-to-earth, sharing stories about her life, her travels, and the little things that made her happy. You found yourself opening up as well, sharing stories from your own life, laughing at shared experiences, and finding common ground in unexpected places.
The connection between you grew stronger with each passing moment, and for a while, it felt like the outside world didn't exist—just the two of you, talking and laughing over coffee.
But then, just as you were beginning to relax completely, Rosé's phone buzzed on the table. She glanced at it, her expression shifting slightly, but then she smiled at you and put the phone face down on the table, clearly not wanting to interrupt your time together.
"You're popular," you teased lightly, trying to keep the mood light.
Rosé chuckled, her eyes twinkling. "It's probably just work stuff. I try not to let it interfere when I'm enjoying myself."
"Well, I'm glad you're enjoying yourself," you said, feeling a warmth spread through you.
She looked at you, her gaze softening. "I really am. This is... nice. Just being able to sit and talk like this."
There was a moment of comfortable silence between you, and then Rosé's phone buzzed again. This time, she let out a small sigh and reached for it.
"Sorry, let me just check this quickly," she said, her tone apologetic.
"Of course," you replied, trying to ignore the slight pang of disappointment.
Rosé glanced at the screen, her eyes widening slightly as she read the message. A small smile tugged at her lips, and then she looked up at you, her expression somewhere between amused and mischievous.
"Everything okay?" you asked, curious about what had caused her reaction.
She nodded, biting her lip as if holding back a laugh. "Yeah, it's just... do you trust me?"
The question caught you off guard, but there was something in her tone, in the playful glint in her eyes, that made you smile. "I think so... why?"
She leaned in slightly, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. "Because I just had a crazy idea, and I think it could be a lot of fun."
You raised an eyebrow, intrigued but wary. "What kind of crazy idea?"
Rosé grinned, her excitement almost contagious. "How do you feel about a little adventure? Something spontaneous?”
Your heart skipped a beat at the suggestion, the idea of doing something completely
out of the ordinary both thrilling and nerve-wracking. "What did you have in mind?"
She looked around the café, as if making sure no one was listening, then leaned in closer. "Well, I just got a text from one of the girls in my group. They're doing something kind of wild today, and they dared me to bring someone along. Someone... unexpected."
Your eyes widened in surprise. "You mean... you want me to come with you?"
"Yeah," she said, her smile widening. "If you're up for it. It's nothing dangerous, I promise. Just a little spontaneous fun."
You hesitated for a moment, your mind racing with possibilities. This was definitely not what you had expected when you woke up this morning, but the idea of spending more time with Rosé, of being part of whatever adventure she had in mind, was too tempting to resist.
"Okay," you said, feeling a rush of excitement. "I'm in."
Rosé's eyes lit up with excitement. "Great! Let's go before we change our minds."
As the two of you quickly finished your drinks and prepared to leave the café, your heart raced with anticipation. Whatever was about to happen, it was sure to be something you would never forget.

(Link to previous part)
“The body of a local boardwalk security guard was found washed up on the beach early this morning,” the reported on the radio said. “Severely mauled and drained of all blood, this is the seventh case like this in the area. Police are cautioning-”
Steve reached forward and flipped the channel of his car’s radio to a different station, causing “Every Breath You Take” to melodiously cut the newscaster’s report short. While it was upsetting that a man had been found dead, he didn’t need his mood brought down by events that didn’t affect him. Maybe that was callous of him, but he felt that he needed his wits about him as he was driving down this California backroad to meet his parents at their summer beach house.
Usually, his parents forced him to remain at their home in Indiana whenever they were away on a business trip, but this time they decided that Steve should come along. He was getting old enough that he’d soon be entering the company since he had recently graduate from college, so they felt he needed to learn what that entailed. Not that Steve actually was going to try to learn anything, it was just that he’d never been allowed to go on vacation before and wanted to soak up a bit of sun before he was forced to return to his dull life in the Midwest.
Though Steve didn’t think they’d notice that he was goofing off, since his parents were a bit flaky and self-centered. Like he had thought that he’d be taking the plane with them when they’d invited him along, except the day before they were meant to leave, his parents told him that they hadn’t got a ticket for him and thought it would be better if he drove to the summer house instead. Steve hadn’t started working yet, leaving him with no choice in the matter and forced him to have to obey their whims.
Steve did enjoy the drive to California, but ultimately, he was left feeling lonely. He’d been left alone with his thoughts whenever he didn’t have the radio playing to drown them out, reminding him that he didn’t have anyone. All of his friends sucked because they were more like business associates due to them being picked out by his father, and his extended family were like his parents, busy with their own lives to care about anyone else. Everyone was too caught up in themselves to give a shit about him, and Steve would be lying if he said that it didn’t hurt.
A few more minutes of self-pity passed before the beach house was in sight. It stood there in all it’s square glory, looking more like a cement parking structure than a beach house. Since the property was private, there wasn’t any other house in sight, leaving the home as a dull silhouette against a background of the vibrant blue ocean and golden sand. The long driveway was empty and so was the expansive garage when Steve parked his car in it.
Getting out of the car, Steve got his duffel bag out of the trunk and slung it over his shoulder before he walked into the unlocked house. He took in the vast living room with its white, marble tiled floor and the expansive, mauve sectional arranged around a large fireplace with a grand piano pushed into the far corner. Steve used to play when he was younger, making him almost wonder if they had put it there for him, but he knew it was more likely for show and that he would be chastised if he even so much as thought of tapping a single one of the ivory keys. There was also a bar situated in the back of the room, and strangely, his mother was slumped over it, day-drunk after enjoying a full bottle of chardonnay.
Steve walked further into the beach house until he reached the long, glass staircase and noticed a notepad with writing on it sitting next to the phone. He picked up the notepad, eyes scanning the words telling him that his parents wouldn’t be joining him as they’d decided to stay at the hotel where the business meeting was being held for convenience. It wasn’t even written by his parents as Steve recognized the writing of their shared assistant from every late birthday and Christmas card he’d received over the years.
Casual acceptance overcame Steve as he wished he could be angry or disappointed, but this was so typical of them that he was barely surprised. In fact, he felt a little foolish for not expecting to find this note from the start. His parents had always viewed him as more of a doll that they could use how they wanted than a living, breathing person, then once they were done with him, they’d discard him without a second thought.
The loneliness that he had previously been felling came back tenfold, and Steve felt that the house was too suffocating, despite its large size. He could go out to the beach to escape the feeling as his swim trunks were in the duffel bag he was carrying, but there wasn’t anyone there given that this was private property. What he wanted was noise along with the physical presence of others milling around him to fill the void temporarily inside him.
Steve’s mind went back to the news report that mentioned the boardwalk. There was no mention of the murder taking place on the boardwalk itself, only that a security guard that worked there had been killed, so he bet that it’d still be crowded with fellow tourist like himself. Also, the guy was probably eaten by a shark or something, which couldn’t walk on dry land, meaning that he’d be completely safe as long as he didn’t get in the water.
With is decision made, Steve put down his duffel bag near the base of the stairs then headed back out the door to his car. He was actually a little excited as he’d never been on an ocean boardwalk and thought it would be a fun experience. Even if it wasn’t, at least he could say that he tried it before he eventually went back to boring Indiana.

Just thinking about Wonka and about that hokey AI wonka experience thing, I bet you totally could make a Willy Wonka themed amusement park. You could have candy vendors all over the place, areas themed like scenes from the different movies, a funhouse that shrinks and grows, a boat ride like the boat in the movies with water dyed brown (and maybe a chocolate scent in the air like they do with other scents at disney so it doesn't give the vibe of gross water)
and maybe some kind of special ticketed thing where once or twice a day, THE Mr. Willy Wonka himself lets you into the big factory and you're in the chocolate room, and everything is actually edible just like the movie. Everything's made by chocolatiers like Amaury Guichon, the grass is mint, the dirt is oreo and pudding, even the cobbles are made out of like solid bricks of chocolate or something, and you get like 45 minutes to just go hog wild and eat whatever you want. Then they lead you out of there and you get some kind of special trinket like a golden ticket or w/e and employees get to work cleaning the room and preparing it for the next event/next day.
And the cast members that walk around could be dressed like oompa loompas, there could be all kinds of rides themed like different rooms and things from the movies, ooh and in the gift shop they could sell all the roald dahl books including Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, as well as Wonka brand candy, obviously
like if you had the budget of Disneyland, you could make Wonkaland a thing and it'd be SO cool

yohe's recap fri-sun. behind $wall so here u go:
HALIFAX, Nova Scotia — It’s a pleasant, autumn afternoon in downtown Halifax. A bartender is shaking his head in the city’s bar district, telling tales of Nova Scotia’s favorite son while NFL games beam on background televisions.
The topic is predictably Sidney Crosby.
“He’s here all the time in the summer with Nate (MacKinnon),” the bartender said. “People never leave him alone. Sits here and signs autographs all night. He’s almost too nice for his own good, you know? But he’s just such a good guy. He just sits here and signs and signs, and just talks with everyone, and poses for pictures. People love it. You have to understand how proud of him we are.”
That much is quite clear.
Preseason games don’t typically receive much in the way of hoopla. Even Erik Karlsson’s exhibition season debut was met with thousands of empty seats at PPG Paints Arena on Thursday.
But this is different. Much, much different. The Pittsburgh Penguins are playing the Ottawa Senators on Monday in downtown Halifax at Scotiabank Centre and it’s a preseason game, only you wouldn’t know it by the buzz in this beautiful, seaside city.
As of Sunday, there were around 300 tickets available on StubHub. The majority of these are selling for more than $1,000. The average price for a ticket on StubHub is around $1,100, and the most famous Taylor in the building will be Crosby’s sister.
“It’s all pretty crazy,” said Ryan Graves, another Nova Scotia native.
Crosby and the Penguins arrived in Halifax late on Friday afternoon. They had a “team bonding” day on Saturday, which included a scavenger hunt and Crosby acting as a personal tour guide for his teammates, most of whom had never been to Halifax.
“I was definitely feeling the pressure,” Crosby said with a smile. “Wanted to make sure guys enjoyed it. It’s a great place. I’m really proud of my home and what it has to offer.”
Rest assured, the feeling from his hometown is mutual.
All across Canada, Crosby is understandably a national hero. He’s one of the greatest players of all time, an incomparable gentleman, scorer of the golden goal and captain of the greatest generation of Canadian hockey.
In Pittsburgh, Crosby is a civic icon. In a city that reveres its sports legends more than most, Crosby’s face will rest on the Mount Rushmore of Western Pennsylvania greats alongside the likes of Mario Lemieux and Roberto Clemente, singular artists whose character somehow exceeded their athletic exploits.
And yet, in Halifax, the affection Crosby receives is even more noteworthy if slightly understated, as is the custom of this province’s people. Like Crosby himself, the people here are polite and kind. Crosby always smiles when Nova Scotia is mentioned. Unfailingly.
When his name is mentioned around the proud people of Halifax, they smile in turn.
“Hard not to,” Graves said.
The Penguins practiced on Sunday morning only minutes from Crosby’s boyhood home at Cole Harbour Place. The small building was filled with hundreds of fans, who overflowed the venue for hours. Hundreds of others stood outside, patiently waiting for a glimpse of Crosby.
Graves grew up in Nova Scotia, albeit three hours away. He is the best-suited member of the Penguins to explain what Crosby’s appearance in the Maritimes means, and what his presence over the years has done for hockey in this region.
Some players from Nova Scotia reached the NHL before Crosby, but his arrival — and subsequent domination of the league — changed everything, according to his new teammate.
“You can just see from the reaction of the people,” Graves said. “You can tell what it means to this area, what he’s done. He’s the first one from out east that really had an impact on everybody. Sid was the first one to pave the way. The impact he’s had on Mac (MacKinnon), myself, (Ottawas Drake) Batherson … you know, you always think things are possible. But when you have someone that’s actually done that, it becomes more real. You understand the pathway that they took. It gives you someone to root for. Everyone loves him. Everyone. He’s an idol to a lot of people. Eight, 10-year-old kids love him. People my parents’ age love him. He’s had an impact on so many people. It’s really cool that the Penguins brought us here to do this.”
Some athletes like to cultivate the image of giving back to the community when, in reality, their contributions are far smaller than the accompanying hype. Crosby is quite the opposite. He’s well known to visit Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh on a regular basis, for instance, but is insistent that the media not chronicle these visits. It’s simply his way.
It was fitting, then, that Crosby’s day on Sunday was particularly full, even if he couldn’t hide from the media on this occasion.
After the Penguins practiced, Crosby returned to the ice. He participated in a hockey clinic for dozens of young Nova Scotian players, and he wasn’t alone. His good friend, Evgeni Malkin, joined him for the clinic. So did Graves. And so did the entire Penguins coaching staff, including Mike Sullivan.
“We all play because we love it,” Crosby said. “Obviously we have dreams of being in the NHL. Sometimes that works out, sometimes it doesn’t. Hopefully it gives them the belief that, just because you’re from a small town, you can make it.”
While Crosby, Malkin, Graves and the coaching staff were on the ice, the rest of the Penguins players were signing autographs and participating in Q&As with children and other members of the Nova Scotian community. Crosby also invited and spoke with families who lost their houses during the horrific wildfires that impacted so much of Canada earlier this year.
“This whole thing has been great,” Jeff Carter said. “Everybody knows what Sid means to the community here. And I think everyone understands how many things he does for people off the ice. It’s been a special weekend for him. He’s very proud of where he grew up. That’s obvious. I think it’s been special for him, yes, but it’s also been a really great experience for all of us.”
Graves said the hockey community in Nova Scotia is an underappreciated one and that he hopes events like this underscore how passionate this province is for hockey.
“It’s all just so cool to see,” he said. “People here love this sport. They’re crazy for it. You see when the world juniors are here, everything is sold out. The Czech and Slovakian game even sold out. People love it. It’s crazy. People love the players who are from around here, too. People around here are blue-collar, hard-nosed people. It makes it fun for them to root for a person like Sidney. When I was a kid, the Islanders came here once for a week of training camp. I thought it was the coolest thing ever.”
And with all due respect to the Islanders, they aren’t Crosby.
“I can’t even imagine what it would be like to have a practice with the Penguins in my hometown rink, the place I grew up in,” Marcus Pettersson said. “Man, would that be awesome. But with Sid, everything is different. And it’s all because of the kind of human being he is.”
The crowd buzzed throughout Penguins practice on Sunday, with the massive contingent of children chanting Crosby’s name throughout.
“So, you see how he’s worshipped here,” Pettersson said. “You see it right away. And honestly, it’s because of the things he does in the community even more than the hockey player that he is. People know he’s a great person, but they don’t even understand all of it, all of the things he does when people aren’t looking, the way he treats people. People are smart, though. They know. He wouldn’t be worshipped the way he is if he weren’t a great person. He sets that standard and that precedent every day. We’ve just been walking around town, and you start to see that people are proud to be from here because Sidney Crosby is from here. I think that tells you a lot.”
As the years have rolled on, Crosby’s bond with his head coach has notably grown stronger. It was only fitting that Sullivan played a big role in the big weekend.
“It’s a great tribute to the legacy Sid has built,” Sullivan said.
Crosby and the Penguins once played a preseason game in Halifax, back in September of 2006. Given that it’s been 17 years since the Penguins have been here, it’s a pretty fair bet that this could be the final time that Crosby skates before his hometown fans.
“It’s been nice,” he said. “I never thought I’d have an opportunity to do this. I had a lot of morning practices in this rink. I had dreams of playing in the NHL. I didn’t think I’d ever be here with our team, doing something like this. You just try to take it all in and enjoy it.”
Crosby is perhaps the most hyped prospect in hockey history. Even before he was drafted, scouts and others who knew him raved about his personality and his character. This, they insisted, was a boy who was different than the rest.
“He’s just the best,” Pettersson said.
Crosby’s last NHL-related event in his hometown was in 2016 when a parade with the Stanley Cup was held in his honor.
Troy Crosby shook his head when pondering the last time the hockey world descended upon Nova Scotia to witness his son.
“Halifax has changed a lot since then,” Crosby’s father noted.
The boy, who became a man, who became a hockey god, has never really changed at all.
His homeland is all the better for it.
“This is a weekend people are going to remember for a really long time,” Graves said. “To the people here, it’s everything.”

so here’s some of the book, it’s kinda long
Have you ever been so afraid of everything in your life? Well, I have. Hi, My name is Emerald but my friends call me em, well seem like my friends. Frankly, I don’t even know if they are real. A few years back I was on a cruise with my mother and father and my two older sisters, but then the boat hit something. it wasn’t on the map at all and it was like really big so they didn’t have time to get away from it so it hit the cruise ship hard and then it started sinking. I was on the main deck, so I fell off first with my mother and father. My two older sisters were in the rooms. I don’t think they made it, but I was thrown into the water, and I don’t know how to swim, heck, I don’t even know anything about the oceans because I have lived in a suburban town since I was born. The only reason we were on the cruise ship was because we got free tickets from a winning lottery ticket. The last thing I heard before I blacked out was my mother and father, screaming for me, I then saw a pinkish-purpleish light coming from behind me, and then I felt arms wrapped around me, then I blacked out. As I opened my eyes, I was greeted by a beautiful sight. The sun was beginning to set over the vast ocean, casting a warm, golden glow across the water and the sky. I could smell the saltiness of the sea in the air, and the gentle breeze that ruffled my hair was cool and refreshing. As I looked around, I noticed that I was no longer on the deck of the cruise ship. Instead, I was in a small, cozy cabin, with windows facing the ocean and a view of the deck of the ship off in the distance. I sat up and saw a note on the bedside table. It read, "Dear Em, Welcome to the SS Phoenix. We are so glad to have you aboard. Please make yourself at home, and feel free to explore the ship and everything it has to offer. If you have any questions or need anything, just let us know and we'll be happy to assist you. Enjoy your stay!" A sense of curiosity and wonder-filled me as I read the note. Who were "we"? And what was this ship all about? I decided to explore the cabin, and to my surprise, I found it to be full of hidden treasures. There were bookshelves filled with books on all sorts of topics, from fiction to non-fiction, from philosophy to science. There was a small kitchenette, fully stocked with all kinds of food and drink. And there was even a small living area with a couch, a television, and a stack of DVDs and Blu-rays to choose from. I spent the rest of the evening exploring the cabin and reading various books, and before I knew it, it was late into the night. I laid down on my comfortable mattress and closed my eyes, feeling a sense of peace and contentment wash over me. As I drifted off to sleep, I couldn't help but wonder what the morning would bring. Would I continue to uncover the mysteries of this ship and its crew? Or would I be led on an adventure of a lifetime, discovering new things about myself and the world around me? Only time would tell, but I knew one thing for sure: I was ready for whatever was to come. When I woke up the ship had docked, on an island, I didn’t know what the island was called but I got up, got dressed and went outside, to my shock monsters and beasts were walking around like humans, one of them even stopped to talk to me, I learned her name was Fiona, and she was a first-class member, and when I asked her where we were, she said that we were docked at the wakenas islands, a big vacation island with everything, like waterparks, carnivals, luxury hotels, shops, etc. After talking to Fiona and learning about the Wakenas Islands, I felt a mix of excitement and trepidation. It was a surreal experience to be on an island filled with both humans and extraordinary creatures coexisting. As we walked through the bustling streets, I marveled at the vibrant diversity of the island.

Heart of Dixie (Martin Davidson, 1989)
Firstly: would anyone in the Sydney area like a ticket to see Typhoon Club tonight at 5:50pm at Golden Age? Ticket as screenshot here! More compelling and convincing people might say otherwise but i think it's the greatest movie ever made. But i'm too sick to go, so i'll be spending my time in bed going through the Phoebe Cates oeuvre, watching such great gems as...
Heart of Dixie! You know, it takes a certain gall to make a civil rights movie on integration coming to an Alabaman university without a single black protagonist and what black characters there are (a mammie housekeeper, other servants, an unnamed man beaten by police, a student escorted by the National Guard) being given overall less than 10 minutes screen time. I mean i'd love it if one were made today because it seems so impossible, but also impossible in 1989. Hadn't Eyes on the Prize come out a couple of years earlier?
The Civil Rights movement as viewed from inside a sorority house. All danger, violence and consequence very outside those walls and outside the minds of young women concerned with receiving pins from fraternity members. It's as valid a perspective as any, just an odd one to be put for public consumption. Consequence feels kept out of this movie as well. I mean it could be a Gone with the Wind for the 60s, but really is just a soft, goofy nostalgia piece. Phoebe Cates has a too small role playing a hip, bohemian girl bound for New York. She drinks from a "Colored Only" fountain on her way out of town.

Running a gym can be a rewarding venture, but there are times when it feels like the fitness gods are testing your resilience. Whether it’s a drop in memberships, unexpected challenges, or an overall slump in revenue, staying afloat in the fitness industry can be tough. Fear not! I’m here to share five effective strategies that can breathe new life into your gym’s sales performance, even when the tide seems against you.
1. Reevaluate Your Pricing Structure
When revenue starts to dip, the knee-jerk reaction is often to cut prices or offer steep discounts. However, a hasty reduction in rates can devalue your services and lead to further financial strain. Instead, reevaluate your pricing structure strategically. Consider creating tiered membership options that cater to a broader range of budgets, while preserving the perceived value of your gym.
Introduce value-added services like personalized training sessions, nutritional guidance, or exclusive access to classes for premium members. A well-structured pricing model can attract new clients without compromising your gym’s integrity.
2. Diversify Your Services
One of the keys to a resilient gym business is diversification. Don’t rely solely on membership fees; explore additional revenue streams. Offer group fitness classes, personal training sessions, or wellness programs. Consider partnering with local businesses for joint promotions or hosting fitness events to attract new clients.
During downtimes or in unforeseen crises, these diversified income sources can help offset losses from membership cancellations or reduced attendance.
3. Ramp Up Marketing Efforts
When sales are struggling, it’s not the time to cut back on marketing; it’s the time to get creative. Invest in a robust online presence with a user-friendly website and active social media accounts. Use content marketing to educate your audience about the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and the value of your gym.
Leverage email marketing campaigns to engage with your existing members and entice them with exclusive offers. Harness the power of data analytics to identify the most effective marketing channels and target demographics.
4. Focus on Member Retention
Customer retention is a golden ticket in the fitness industry. Retaining existing members is often more cost-effective than acquiring new ones. Create an engaging and inclusive gym culture where members feel valued and part of a community.
Implement loyalty programs, rewards systems, and referral incentives to motivate members to stay committed and recruit new clients for you. Regularly solicit feedback and make necessary improvements based on member suggestions.
5. Streamline Operations and Cut Costs
In challenging times, scrutinize your operational expenses. Identify areas where you can trim unnecessary costs without compromising service quality. Analyze your energy consumption, staff schedules, and equipment maintenance. Consider renegotiating contracts with suppliers for better deals.
Furthermore, invest in software solutions that can help you streamline processes, manage member data efficiently, and automate tasks. These tools can reduce administrative burdens and improve overall productivity.
Navigating tough times in the gym business requires creativity, resilience, and a well-thought-out strategy. Don’t lose hope when sales aren’t going your way; instead, reevaluate your pricing, diversify your services, revamp your marketing, prioritize retention, and streamline operations. By implementing these five strategies, you’ll be better equipped to not only weather the storm but also position your gym for long-term success in the ever-evolving fitness industry. Remember, challenges are opportunities in disguise; embrace them, adapt, and emerge stronger than ever.
Conclusion
In the quest to rejuvenate your gym’s sales performance, remember that you don’t have to navigate this journey alone. Tumblr media
Introduction
Hyderabad has emerged as one of the most vibrant and rapidly growing real estate markets in India. The city's skyline is constantly evolving, and investors and buyers are always on the lookout for promising opportunities. In this landscape, the Heera Group's Prime Property in Shaikpet, Hyderabad, has recently caught the attention of many. This property, now up for sale following a Supreme Court order, boasts an estimated value of over ₹750 crores and covers a total area of 33,060.15 Square Yards.
In this article, we'll delve into the details of this excellent deal, exploring its advantages, the opportunity it presents, and how it can benefit both IBG members of the Heera Group and other potential investors and buyers.
youtube
Overview of the Property
The property in question is a sprawling expanse of 33,060.15 square yards located in Shaikpet, Hyderabad. Shaikpet is an emerging locality that has quickly become one of the most sought-after areas in the city. This sale offers a unique opportunity for interested parties to become part of this lively neighborhood, either as residents or investors looking for good returns. The property's size and location make it suitable for various developments, from residential complexes to commercial spaces.
youtube
The Supreme Court's Involvement
One of the most significant aspects of this property sale is the involvement of the Supreme Court of India. This participation lends an unprecedented level of credibility and safety to the transaction. The court has allowed the Heera Group to sell the property, ensuring that the sale process will be conducted effectively and legally.
Moreover, Dr. Nowhera Shaik, the representative of the Heera Group, has been granted permission to use the land for addressing several lawsuits. This development further solidifies the legitimacy of the sale and provides assurance to potential buyers about the clean title of the property.
youtube
Fair Market Value: An Attractive Proposition
The fair market value of this property exceeds ₹750 crores, making it an incredibly attractive investment opportunity. This valuation reflects not only the immediate tangible benefits arising from the property's strategic location but also the potential for future appreciation.
Owning a piece of land in Shaikpet, Hyderabad, is akin to holding a winning lottery ticket in a city that's rapidly progressing and growing. The property's value is likely to increase significantly over time, offering substantial returns to investors.
A Prime Location
Shaikpet's location is one of its biggest selling points. The area is well-connected to several vital sectors of Hyderabad, making it ideal for families, businesses, and investors alike. Some of the key advantages of its location include:
Proximity to major transport networks
Easy access to reputed schools and educational institutions
Nearby healthcare facilities
Shopping malls and entertainment centers within reach
Ample recreational grounds and parks
As Hyderabad continues to grow, properties in such prime areas are expected to see substantial appreciation in value.
Advantages for IBG Members and Common People
One of the most exciting aspects of this property sale is the opportunity it presents for IBG members and the general public. The Heera Group is offering special pricing and discounts, making it possible for a wider range of people to own premium real estate in this prized location.
Dr. Nowhera Shaik's vision is to make property ownership in such a coveted area accessible to more people. This approach not only benefits potential buyers but also contributes to the overall development and diversity of the neighborhood.
Why Invest in Tolichowki?
Tolichowki, a part of Shaikpet, offers several compelling reasons for investment:
Cultural Significance: Tolichowki is not just a residential area; it's a place steeped in culture, tradition, and history. Residents can enjoy a unique blend of medieval charm and modern comforts.

This dual nature of the property makes it appealing to a wide range of buyers and investors.

This high level of accessibility enhances the area's prospects, making it attractive for both residential and commercial purposes.
Some key connectivity features include:
Proximity to major highways

Some upcoming developments in the area include:
Expansion of the metro network
Planned IT parks and commercial complexes
Proposed educational institutions and healthcare facilities
These developments are likely to further boost the property values in the area, making it an excellent long-term investment.
How to Grab This Opportunity
For those interested in purchasing a stake in this prime property, it's crucial to act swiftly. Given the attractive pricing and the legitimacy backed by the Supreme Court, interest is expected to be high. Here are some steps to consider:
Research: Understand the local market trends and property values in Shaikpet. Knowledge is power when making an investment.
Engage with Professionals: Consult with real estate agents or legal experts familiar with the local market. They can provide valuable insights and guidance throughout the purchasing process.

Unlocking the Million Dollar Skill Set
Smart generalists are like the Swiss Army knives of the business world, ready to tackle any challenge with a twist or a turn!
Why it matters: In a rapidly changing business landscape, where technology evolves faster than trends on TikTok, having employees who know how to learn and adapt is invaluable.
These adaptable team players not only solve problems but can also identify opportunities that others might miss—ultimately driving growth for small businesses.
The big picture: Consider smart generalists as the knowledge ninjas of your organization.
They're not bound by a single domain; instead, they harvest insights from various disciplines, creating innovative solutions that can propel your business forward. They're visionaries who see potential where others see a dead end.
Overheard at the water cooler: "You know that guy in our office who can fix the printer and then whip up a marketing strategy?
I thought he was just a show-off, but it turns out he's a smart generalist. Is that the secret sauce to success?”
Myth vs. fact: Many believe that deep expertise in one area is the golden ticket to success.
But here's the kicker: while specialists are invaluable, smart generalists often outperform them by being able to integrate multiple perspectives and adapt swiftly to new situations, proving that versatility trumps singularity in the modern workplace.
The bottom line: Embracing the skill of learning and encouraging a culture of skill stacking can elevate your business from good to extraordinary.
So, if you've got a team member who’s a quick study, nurture that talent—they might just have the ability to transform the way your business operates!

Concert Review - LAMP / Mitski in Cleveland, Ohio
I'm rarely one to shy away from a trip specifically for a concert. I have driven long distances both solo and with friends for shows states away, particularly for artists who tend to sell tickets at alarming rates - Mitski is no exception. I'm lucky enough to have seen her 3 other times, once in New York City with Lucy Dacus opening, and twice in Colorado: one with her opening for Death Cab for Cutie and the other with Michelle opening for her. I love her performances, I trust that her openers will be incredible, and above all else I have enjoyed seeing how her shows have grown, even since the major success of Be The Cowboy. As soon as I saw there would be a tour for her latest release, The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We, I knew I needed to grab a ticket. With how quickly these tickets sell, I knew I would have to opt for a different city. So voila - Cleveland, Ohio it is.
Despite the horror stories I've heard throughout my life about Cleveland, I found it to be a very pleasant (and eerily quiet) city. We stayed in a hotel downtown and spent free time roaming around Playhouse Square and taking an emotional journey through the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (a must-visit for music fans). The water was beautiful and the area was overall very walkable.
The show was at Jacob's Pavilion, a lovely amphitheater on the water with a picturesque view of the bridge and various downtown buildings. The weather was clear with a slight breeze. My only complaint about the venue? The seats were a little uncomfortable. Don't let that discourage you from attending shows here, the complaint could easily have been resolved by bringing in something to sit on, which is allowed. Our seats were in section 4, row J which meant we'd be further to the left side of the stage, near the edge of the seating. Despite this, the view was still pretty good and the sound was of decent quality.
The opener was Lamp, a Japanese indie band formed in 2000. Their smooth, danceable, melt-in-your-mouth, city pop-esque tunes fit perfectly as golden hour lighting engulfed the water scenery behind the stage. I watched cars pull up across the river to listen to the show in the comfort of their hatchbacks. Others walked into the grassy area and listened on picnic blankets. Lamp, playing with 7 members, featured solos from a wide array of instruments: flute, trumpet, bongos - the band received well-deserved stomps from the crowd, the rumble reverberating mixed with whoops and hollers.
The anticipation for Mitski grew so much that when stagehands turned the flood lights off after setting up, the crowd had mistaken the sudden darkness as Mitski's entrance. Hundreds of phones sat with thumbs ready to hit "record," but her pre-show music (which was the same song on repeat) continued. A curtain was lowered onto a small circular platform center-stage, and a warm light was illuminated onto it, causing its appearance to resemble a gentle fire. The music cut and the crowd yelled, stomping their feet even louder and cheering.
Mitski emerged with a full band and played for about 2 hours. She molded many of her well-known songs into new renditions, bending their genres into something entirely new. Instead of the usual train-like churning beat behind Happy, she added qualities akin to Send Me On My Way. Slide guitar was added to Fireworks, and the tempo was slowed to a saunter. Mitski seemed significantly more comfortable on stage; more relaxed and playful - sporting a roomy button down with slacks, she got laughs from the crowd as she mimicked a dog during I Bet On Losing Dogs. She even did a fitting single-person line dance to Lonesome Love - overall, this performance was a joy to watch.
The use of lighting was immaculate during this show as Mitski made the lights fulfill different roles - they projected her shadow onto the curtain and side of the stage, it grew and shrunk with the swells of each song. The lights were also her dance partner during an emotional rendition of Heaven. Delicate strings of what appeared to be mirror shards hung above Mitski's circular platform, reflecting a brilliant bright red lighting onto the tent above the crowd. Mitski truly made the stage her playground through the duration of the set and it made for an entirely new concert experience, wildly different from shows I've had the opportunity to see in the past. Her movement in all that she did on stage was completely intentional and well-rehearsed, which captured the attention of the viewer and added more detail and context to her already thought-provoking lyrics. A simple pose drove the crowd to stomp and cheer even when music wasn't playing. After an entertaining set the crowd demanded one more song, and the band reemerged to finish the night with Nobody and Washing Machine Heart.
