How do Miu and Gonta start dating?

y’know what i think that lil fic im making now might answer part of this but i’ll write about stuff leading up to it

miu’s always talking about her inventions, testing them out on people, and even if some of them are... uh. questionable for actual usefulness (goin’ commando gun) gonta’s still impressed and really intrigued by them. he asks her about them, she’s more than willing to explain and happy someone appreciates that golden brain of hers!

other times she teased gonta and tried to rile him up for fun and pointless arguments. at first it was distressing, but he started not taking it so personally when he realized she wasn’t that serious about it. but sometimes she pushed the “insult bugs” button and he flipped out, making miu panic and cower, and that made gonta apologize profusely. no matter how many times this happened though, it didn’t stop gonta from talking to her.

one day as a show of appreciation she makes him a bug vacuum (which by the way is REAL) and he gets so happy because this is such a thoughtful gift! and she made it herself?! that’s so cool!! this is probably the most excited any of miu’s classmates have ever been for one of her inventions, but then again, it’s one of the only inventions she’s made for someone else in mind without them asking for it.

she starts showing interest in gonta’s talent too because fuck, man, what even with bugs, maybe they’ll inspire some new inventions, and he’s super excited to talk to her about em!! though he has to learn to dial it back after being a bit too enthusiastic with some wolf spiders... karmic payback for those times she pestered him for shits n giggles. they keep going back and forth talking about each other’s talents, even if they don’t fully understand them. 

eventually they just end up talking about themselves and their other interests and start hanging around one another just for the company, no big reason behind it, so at the very least, that’s how their fondness for one another builds up...
