Rolan's fingers very nearly itched with the desire to start getting his hands on them, and he curled them slightly to curb the impulse. There would be time enough to read and learn in the coming months.

"You're free to use it whenever I'm in the tower. I only ask that you not touch anything on my desk or to refrain from exploring when I'm away." He grinned at Rolan. "No restricted section like at Blackstaff. There's nothing too dangerous in here and I trust you'll use your judgment."

Rolan nodded. "Of course, Master Dekarios."

Gale's steps stuttered for only a brief moment. "Ah, yes, well..." He cleared his throat. "I suppose 'Master Dekarios' is fine in public, and around Tara of course, but in private 'Gale' is fine.

"As you wish...Gale." It felt a bit unnatural to call his master and mentor, the wizard who would teach him all he needed to know, simply by his given name, but if that's what the man wanted then Rolan would do it.

After another momentary pause from Gale, he continued on, pushing open the double doors that led to the balcony. He stopped, Rolan coming up just beside him, and sighed happily. "Take it all in, Rolan. With time, talent, and effort, one day you'll have a tower of your own to call home. This is just the beginning for you, I'm sure of it."

The beginning, indeed. Rolan looked out over the water, reiterating the promise he'd made to himself when he'd received Gale of Waterdeep's reply to accept him as his apprentice: he would do this and someday become the greatest wizard on the Sword Coast.

So... I did a thing.

After ready almost every Spapel fic that there is on AO3 (❤️) I can't help but think about how Spock and Christine's child would look like.

This is not adjusted at all - just the two faces thrown together and boom! I kinda like it ... but also it looks nothing like them, haha 😂 Will do some more adjustments around this, once I find time.

What do you think, what her/his name would be? And am I the only one who is fascinated by this idea??? 🥰

some people think in ho didn’t notice gi hun until he won. i agree that maybe he wasn’t Interested in gi hun in a big way until he won (cause everyone dies and he himself said he didn’t think gi hun would win) but im sure he noticed him and watched him for a lot of it cause he became friends with oh il nam and of course in ho had to watch oh il nam very closely for the duration of the games to ensure his safety. i’m sure he noticed and realized it was odd that in this game where everyone is mainly only looking out for themselves, that gi hun befriended this old dying man and cared about him to such an extent even though it put his life at major risk. and that he extended that same care to everyone else when there were barely any players left. i’m sure he was intrigued by how much he cared about others and then of course that feeling must’ve amplified ten fold when he won because not only did he care so much about everyone but he was able to win despite that? in a game designed to bring out the worst in everyone? and if that wasn’t enough, then he wants to come back so he can save everyone from the horrible fate of the games?? after he won all the prize money???? of course in ho is obsessed with him there was no way around it. it was bound to happen, there was absolutely nothing anyone could do to stop it. it was written in the stars.

this is going to be my first november 5th back in the spn fandom and i gotta say. it's rough out here. i feel like ive seen at least a dozen variations of posts going no no trust me bro theyre going to kiss on screen one day and THEN we'll show them. jensen ackles just has to release the tapes. scrolling down the destiel tag rn is like speedrunning the entire 15 seasons the gifmakers are working overtime like theyre marvel cgi effects artists. half the people on my dash want 500 more seasons of supernatural and the other half still won't even talk about the spinoff. cw making that post on their instagram was like letting a fox loose in the henhouse, i fear we will not survive this coming week
