Gogotales is honestly a hit or miss because they are an extremely affordable makeup brand and in that price range you either get hidden gems or flops. These Gogotales Blush Creams were a good pick and only $6. They are a creamy velvety texture and last nearly all day. I work ten hour shifts and there is still some pigment left on my cheeks when I get home.
I got the two lightest shades G01 and G02. They appear less warm toned/orangey and slightly deeper than the swatches advertised, but my skintone is a light medium warm tone, so that will affect how it appears. The shade G01 gives a subtle natural blush look while the shade G02 is much more pigmented and I only need a small amount. I don't prefer a heavy blush look but the shade G02 can easily be built up to achieve a strong blush look. I would recommend these blushes and these two particular shades if you have a similar skintone as me.

the makeup i got is soooo cute omg <3 it’s so sparkly and the eyeliners and liquid glitters all have such fine tips that are a delight to work with !! the glosses are less high-shine than i typically go for and they’re less pink than i expected but they feel very soft on the lips. one of the glosses turned out to not be a gloss tho fghdhsk it’s matte </3 it feels nicer than any matte lipstick i’ve tried tho (at least for the amount of time i had it on) so i’ll most likely just try topping it with a gloss
#the glosses were def a risk on my part bc no gloss will ever be the essence extreme shine volume lipgloss (beloved)#but i do like to try different glosses on occasion and i def like these hold live ones#btw the brands i got stuff from are judydoll, flortte, hold live, gogo tales, meiking, hyntoor, and colorkey#<- for my fellow makeup enthusiasts

magic witch school franchises to support instead of h*rry p*tter
so with the hbo h*rry p*tter reboot being announced, here's some magic school/witch shows to give your attention to instead of giving the queen terf your time and money
little witch academia
atsuko "akko" kagari attended a show by the witch shiny chariot when she was a child and being enamoured with her magic, decides she wants to be a witch herself. she enrolls at the magic school, luna nova. things are hard for her at first being the only student from a non magic lineage while everyone else are witches. and she does badly at school. however she grows throughout the show, both in her magic and in character.
the first half is mostly lighthearted and focuses on akko and her friends' shenanigans. the second half introduces an antagonist and is where the story starts picking up. there are some really emotional beats it hits. but of course akko triumphs through it all and picks herself back up - with some help from her friends of course.
mahoutsukai precure
the thirteenth entry in the ongoing precure franchise. it follows a young girl named mirai asahina who spots a girl flying on a broom. on following the broom, she meets riko, a witch who's from the magic world and has come to her world (called the non magic world) in search of the linkle stone emerald. but when they're attacked by a minion of the big bad, they're able to transform into legendary witches known as precure.
this is more of a magical girl show and it doesn't completely focus on the magic school..there's also episodes that take place in the non magic world. but if there's one thing that's worth watching the show for, its the tight friendship between the main charcaters. they really feel like a found family. also the ending is one of the most emotional endings in the entire franchise.
this show is part of the ongoing magical girl franchise, precure. however you don't need to have watched the previous seasons to understand this season as all the precure seasons (excluding futari wa precure max heart and yes precure 5 gogo which ars sequels to previous seasons) are standalone stories
also a sequel for mahoutsukai is coming out in 2024 which will focus on the main characters as adults
witch hat atelier
coco has loved magic ever since the day a mysterious witch at a festival sold her a picture book about its wonders. however, witches are born with magic, not taught, so coco is forced to give up that dream. one day, she sees a witch named qifrey work his magic by drawing glyphs. coco decides to try it out and discovers she can do magic by just drawing glyphs. however, when she accidentally turns her mother into stone. so qifrey takes her up as his apprentice so that she could learn magic, and hopefully reverse the spell on her mother.
coco is swept up into a world of magic snd everything she knows before is called into question. she also meets three other witches, tetia, richeh, and agott, who are also qifrey's apprentices.
one thing i adore about this series is its art. it is beautiful and gives off the magical fairy tale feel. all the characters are also really fleshed out. richeh's arc especially stuck with me as someone who has major beef with the education system in my country. it also addresses topics like ableism and systemic violence. there's also poc rep and lgbt rep (both canon and implied slow burn)
i will say if you're planning to go into this manga, trigger warning for chapter 49 because it discusses sexual assault (in a respectful way of course). if you're triggered by it you can skip that chapter and you won't really miss out on the plot.
also an anime adaptation has been announced and is currently in production.
ojamajo doremi
this is technically not a magic school franchise but it is a witch franchise so i'm gonna go ahead and recommend it anyways.
doremi harukaze, the self proclaimed "unluckiest pretty girl in the world", dreams of becoming a witch. one day, she stumbles across a mysterious shop run by a strange old woman. taking a cue from what she's read in her stories, doremi recognizes the old woman as a witch. this turns her into a witch frog, as witches who are recognized by humans become witch frogs. with this doremi has to become a witch apprentice and learn magic in order to reverse the spell. she's later joined by some of her friends.
this is a kids show but its very fun to watch. it addresses some heavy topics in a way that's understandable for kids while still mantaining its lighthearted atmosphere. it also gets really emotional at times, especially towards the end of each season.
i will say that episode 12 of ojamajo doremi naisho has a character die of cancer (its never outright called cancer but its heavily implied). so if that stuff upsets you, you can skip that episode and you won't really miss anything in the grand scheme of things.
so these are some of my favourites. feel free to add more.

Another Update on the GMMTV Kissing Multiverse
Hello everyone! Back again with another update on the GMMTV Kissing Multiverse.
The first version is here, second version here.
EDIT: New update is here, the tag for future updates is here.
Rules
Must have visible lip to lip contact
Must be shown on screen in a GMMTV tv series (no kisses from ads, promotional content, etc.)
Breakdown by Show
I have analyzed 61 shows so far:
(full list in alt text)
Breakdown By Actor
I have analyzed 112 actors so far:
(full lists in alt text)
Results and Discussion
Most Kissing Pairs Per Show
The shows with the most different kissing pairs are:
Warp Effect (15 different pairs)
Friendzone (11 different pairs)
U-Prince (9 different pairs)
The Player and The Jungle (7 different pairs each)
Only Friends (5 different pairs)
Not Me and 3 Will Be Free have 4 each, then Mama Gogo, Moonlight Chicken, P.S. I Hate You, Theory of Love, and Three Gentlebros have 3 different kissing pairs each.
The Power of Jojo
As discovered in the first iteration, Jojo has an outsized impact on the number of kissing pairs.
He directed roughly 13% of all the shows analyzed but his shows contain about 33% of kisses present in the data set. Jojo also directed 4 of the top 6 shows with the most different kissing pairs (and 6 of the top 13).
The median number of "different kissing pairs per show" of a Jojo show is 6.0, compared to a median of only 1.8 "different kissing pairs per show" in non-Jojo shows.
(note: I am just looking at kissing pair iterations here not at unique kissing pairs, e.g., Phuwin/Pond are a pair in two shows (once in a Jojo show and once in a non-Jojo show), so they are counted twice.)
Most Kissing Partners
There has been a shift in the rankings... Welcome Joss to the top!
Top ranked are Joss with 10 different kissing partners, then Lee and Namtan with 9 different kissing partners each, then Ohm and Nanon with 7 each.
Next are Gigie and Singto with 6 kissing partners each, then Bright, Film, First, Fluke Pusit, Jan, Krist, Mild, New, and Off with 5 each. Finally, Drake, Fah, Neo, Plustor, Tay, and Win have 4 each.
The average number of kissing partners per actor is 2.3.
Most Kissing Partners in One Show
We have four people tied for "Most Kissing Partners in One Show," and they are from only two different shows. A round of applause for Plustor (4 different kissing partners in Friendzone) and for Fluke Pusit, Gigie, and New (each with 4 different kissing partners in Warp Effect)!
Honorable mentions to: Joss (3 in The Player AND 3 in 3 Will Be Free), Namtan (3 in The Player), Neo (3 in Only Friends), and Singto (3 in Friendzone).
Please note all of these shows are Jojo shows.
The Kiss Web
Behold... the Kiss Web:
I made this to better visualize the intertwined who-kisses-who situation going on. It's, uh... a lot.
I also made some fun visual breakdowns to help sort through the mess of the Web:
First image below highlights "kissing triangles" and "squares" (shout out to the 3 Will Be Free trio of Joss, Mild, and Tay; the Friendzone trio of Nat, Plustor, and Singto; and the Warp Effect triangle of Fluke Pusit, Gigie, and New and square of Fah, Gigie, Joong, and New, all of which were established over the course of one show each - yes these are all Jojo shows).
The second image highlights the reach of the top 5 kissers.
The third image shows the incredible kissing webs of Warp Effect (in red) and Friendzone (in blue), the two shows with the most kissing pairs.
Unique vs. Repeat Kissing Pairs
The vast majority of kissing pairs only occur once, in one show. There are 136 "unique" kissing pairs in the data set, with 128 (94%) only appearing once, in one show, and 8 (6%) pairs appearing at least twice.
The 8 pairs that appear in more than one show are:
Book/Force (in A Boss and A Babe, Enchante, and Only Friends)
Bright/Win (in 2gether and Still 2gether)
Dunk/Joong (in Hidden Agenda and Star In My Mind)
Earth/Mix (in A Tale of Thousand Stars, Cupid's Last Wish, and Moonlight Chicken)
Film/Gun (in Not Me and Three Gentlebros)
First/Khaotung (in The Eclipse and Only Friends)
Gun/Off (in Not Me and Theory of Love)
Louis/Neo (in The Eclipse and Fish Upon The Sky)
All these pairs, with the exception of Film/Gun, are BL branded pairs, which says something about the variety of the het GMMTV show world and about the structure of the BL system.
All in all, 99% of mixed gender pairs only appear once, in one show, compared to 88% of same gender pairs.
Same Gender vs. Mixed Gender Kissing Pairs
A change in the data! With all the new kisses we've gotten in, the balance has shifted. Of the 136 "unique" (non-repeated) kissing pairs, 59% are mixed gender pairs and 41% are same gender pairs.
Last time we were at 59% same gender kisses and 41% mixed gender kisses, but our sample includes more het shows now which explains the shift.
I dug into this a little further by looking at how many shows featured both same and mixed gender kissing pairs, and which shows featured only one or the other.
43% of the shows had only same gender kissing pairs, 39% of the shows had only mixed gender kissing pairs, and only 18% of shows featured both. All in all, a fairly even split.
I was curious so I did the math - about 34% of the 112 actors I looked at have only ever kissed someone of the same gender. Of that 34%, roughly 32% have kissed more than one person of the same gender (representing about 11% of the full sample).
And now, some burning questions...
Which of the GMMTV boys has kissed the most guys?
We have a five-way tie for first place: congrats to First, Fluke Pusit, Neo, Plustor, and Singto, with 4 men kissed each!
First kissed Gawin (Not Me), Khaotung (The Eclipse and Only Friends), Mix (Moonlight Chicken), and Ohm (The Shipper)
Fluke Pusit kissed Jay Jatuporn (Warp Effect), New (Warp Effect), Ohm Thipakorn (A Boss and A Babe), and Thor (Warp Effect)
Neo kissed Drake (Only Friends), Force (Only Friends), Louis (Fish Upon The Sky and The Eclipse), and Mark Pakin (Only Friends)
Plustor kissed AJ (Friendzone), Arm (Friendzone), Nat (Friendzone), and Singto (Friendzone) [he was very busy in Friendzone]
Singto kissed Krist (SOTUS), Nat (Friendzone), Ohm (HCTM), and Plustor (Friendzone)
Second place is a five-way tie between Earth, Gawin, Khaotung, Krist, and Ohm who have kissed 3 men each!
There are also 13 men who have kissed two men each: Chimon, Dunk, Force, Gun, Mek, Mix, Nat, New, Papang, Pawin, Phuwin, Pod, and Tay.
*Note: while First and Fluke Pusit appear together in The Shipper, and it gets verrrry close, they do not actually kiss.
Where does Only Friends stand so far?
Only Friends itself is at 5 kissing pairs so far, which is higher than average but only 5th place overall among shows. I believe it can claw its way up easily though (it only needs two more kissing pairs to catch 4th places The Jungle and The Player)!
First has had 5 kissing partners so far which means he's only 2 away from reaching the top 5 Kissers (Joss has 10 kissing partners, Lee and Namtan have 9 each, Nanon and Ohm have 7 each). Neo is at 4 kissing partners, so also within reach of the top if he puts some effort in. Khaotung is at 3 partners, so within reach of the upper echelon but maybe more of a stretch. Force and Mark Pakin are at a respectable 2 partners each so far but Book has only had one kissing partner so he is going to need to kiss a lot to make up some ground. Lookjun is at 2 so she has room to move too.
In terms of gay kisses, First and Neo are already at the top of the leader board with 4 men kissed each, while Khaotung sits in respectable second place with 3 men kissed. All three have a strong chance of moving up the standings (Neo is averaging 1 new kissing partner a week so let's see if that continues). Force has kissed two men so he is not far off either. Mark Pakin and Book have only kissed one man each and thus they are far down the leader board for GMMTV men who have kissed men, but I remain optimistic.

An Update on "Liars & Leeches"
It’s been a while since we released the finale of our show’s first season. Since then, “Liars & Leeches” has been listened to tens of thousands of times in more than 80 countries, and we couldn't be more grateful for the support we’ve received since its initial release.Â
Initially, our plan was to begin pre-production and script writing of our second season in the fall of 2023 and release it this year. However, the past year has been a very long one, full of ups, downs, and some big changes in the lives of our cast and crew. Now that the dust has begun to settle, we’ve been digging deep into the pre-production stage of season two, with the writing of the plot nearly complete and work creating the scripts about to begin. We’re very excited to return with new episodes, and we have big plans for this upcoming season, including expanding our season length, as well as the size of our cast.
To help us with our ambitious goals for the second season, we are launching an Indie GoGo campaign. The pre-launch page for the campaign is currently live, and you can sign up there to receive updates when the full campaign launches. There are a host of rewards available for this campaign, including early access to season two episodes, a Q&A form where you can submit questions to both our season one and season two cast and crew, scripts annotated by our creator, scriptwriter, and sound designer, and an original “Liars & Leeches” short story written by our script writer KJ Scott. For more information on the campaign, you can visit the Indie GoGo link above, follow both our blog and and @hemcreekprod, or sign up for the Hemlock Creek Productions newsletter at www.hemlockcreekprod.com/newsletter. Â
Thank you again listeners for all of your support, it truly means a lot, and we can’t wait to return with season two in 2025.

Nittaewo of Sri Lanka
Sri Lankan folklore mentions the Nittaewo, a mysterious and intriguing concept. People believe that these fabled beings once resided in the deep forests of Sri Lanka, particularly in the eastern region. There are a few different ways to describe the Nittaewo, but in general, they are described as being humanoid creatures that are quite little and stand between three and four feet tall. They stand in stark contrast to their Bigfoot counterpart in North America which is huge. Reports stated that they had hair covering their bodies and used their strong claws to climb trees and hunt small creatures. Legends from the area assert that the Nittaewo were a primitive people that lacked the ability to communicate verbally or make use of tools. They lived in caverns and traveled in groups, conversing with one another through body language and noises. They were notorious for their aggressive attitude, and the indigenous Vedda people, who lived in the same woodlands, feared them not only because of their small stature but also because of their hostile nature. The connection between the Nittaewo and the Veddas was filled with tension, which resulted in stories of skirmishes and ultimately led to the demise of the Nittaewo.
One of the most well-known stories about the Nittaewo is that they met their end. According to legend, the Veddas decided to eradicate the Nittaewo after becoming fed up with their belligerent behavior and regular attacks. The Veddas imprisoned the Nittaewo in a cave, effectively sealing their fate with logs. It is believed that the Nittawo people became extinct over the course of time, leaving behind only myths and oral tales. Some people believe that the Nittaewo are nothing more than myths, while others wonder about the possible origins of these creatures. Numerous hypotheses suggest that the Nittaewo could have been a hominid species, potentially linked to Homo floresiensis, the Indonesian Hobbit people. It is believed that a small population of early humans, known as the Nittaewo, resided in Sri Lanka until relatively recently. This theory proposes that they continued to exist until relatively recently. However, there is currently no definitive archeological evidence to support this theory. This is the same narrative sometimes used to explain the Ebu Gogo in Indonesia.
Residents and researchers are still fascinated by the Nittaewo. In an effort to discover the reality that lies behind the mythology, numerous expeditions and investigations have been carried out, but, as of yet, no proof that can be considered conclusive has been discovered. It is a tribute to the rich tapestry of Sri Lankan mythology that the story of the Nittaewo continues to be an intriguing blend of myth and mystery. In contemporary times, the story of the Nittaewo serves as a cultural narrative that emphasizes the relationships that take place between people and the natural world. It reflects themes of survival, strife, and the unknown, and resonates with greater human experiences. In Sri Lanka's cultural heritage, the Nittaewo continue to be a fascinating feature, regardless of whether they are actual or imagined entities.

Is there a character/actor you have really enjoyed analyzing body language for? What about a performance makes it interesting to analyze?
Oooo what a great question!Â
I don’t think I have like a particular actor whose body language I look forward to analyzing. In general, I think I’m just constantly subconsciously analyzing everything.Â
When I turn on the more intentional analysis brain, it is actually often for performances I don’t enjoy, and that is to help me figure out what about the performance is putting me off. Like I said in my response to @waitmyturtles yesterday, microexpressions can be kind of hard for me to see, but they are absolutely one of the most vital aspects of informing character for me. So if I see an actor who is playing a flat character, I will actually start paying more attention to them, or rewatching the show/movie and specifically concentrating on their face, backing up scenes, etc. in order to see if they are actually delivering a packed performance or if they just can’t act.Â
I said this in my last post too, but examples of people whose performances I didn’t really love: Copter in La Pluie and Saint in Step by Step because both of those boys are very stiff. They don’t have obvious internal monologues. It works in Copter’s favor with Lomfon, it does not work in Saint’s favor for Jab.Â
Examples of people whose performances I didn’t initially love, but came around to after spending some time actually analyzing their faces: Luca Marinelli in The Old Guard who is a truly masterful microexpressive actor, but the first time I saw him play Nicky I thought he was just flat, upon second, third, eleventh viewing of that film his performance grows stronger and stronger for me.
Earth Pirapat in A Tale of a Thousand Stars, I actually have yet to go back to watch the original show, but being more familiar with Earth after seeing Cupid’s Last Wish, Moonlight Chicken, and Mama Gogo, I was much more able to read Phupa’s face and pick up on things in his performance I would have otherwise missed.Â
There are, of course, the chameleons, like First Kanaphan, Khaotung Thanawat, and Gun Atthaphan, who are just fun to see slip in to vastly different characters. Neo is showing his acting chops in Only Friends right now in so strong a way he is truly blowing my fucking mind, because to be honest, I have not really enjoyed the other characters of his.Â
If you read my response to Turtle’s ask last night, you will see a pretty extensive list of people actors whose performances are truly wonderful to watch.Â
All of this said, if I am not actively focusing on what is making me not like a performance, I will rewind and watch scenes on a loop like four or five times before moving on if they are particularly emotionally complex. So sex scenes and fight scenes are some of my favorite things to watch because there are so many emotions flying that have to turn on a dime, and the choreography that it takes to make those romantic or explosive scenes feel believable and powerful. The way Uchino in What Did you Eat Yesterday? handles Kenji’s body after he hears Shiro express his fears that Kenji is dying, because Kenji was being cagey about his balding, is truly masterful! The way Hagiwara Riku is able to just flip back and forth between adorable cutesy boyfriend, and truly murderous violence in Utsukushii Kare: Eternal, the way Pee Peerawich handled the fight in Episode 10 of La Pluie.Â
I don’t know, all in all, I can’t act, so it is fun watching people who are good at their job, absolutely demolish playing a completely different person.
#only friends the series#la pluie#step by step#moonlight chicken#the old guard#utsukushii kare#what did you eat yesterday?#not me the series#gun atthaphan#first kanaphan#khaotung thanawat#earth pirapat#luca marinelli#hagiwara riku#uchino
