Cast List Update!

Thank you to everyone who sent me info, especially to the folks on the Discord server. You all are doing the heavy lifting!

As always, the mistakes are mine. Please let me know if you notice any!

I'm not on this Tumblr account as often these days, but I'll try to check in every so often. I miss you all and this Tumblr community! Update Finally!!

Hello Everyone!! (or...maybe I'm shouting into the void of SNM Tumblr??)

I've updated the cast list as of January 2023. Please let me know if there are any errors. Thank you to everyone who has sent info and helped to double check it!

I decided to transition to one big master list instead of the current and former sections. There are SO many wonderful people who are dropping for a short time from years gone by, and it was just impossible to keep track of who was in and who wasn't. (Hence the LONG hiatus.)

I hope the list is still a helpful resource. Enjoy your shows!! SNM is just as wonderful as ever!

I am excited to see some familiar faces added to the cast list (Sam Meredith and David Lee Parker have even been added to the cast gallery on the official site). Do you think they will be more additions as time goes on?

I hope so!! I've been playing the "who from years ago will show up in the cast tonight?" game!

My favorite so far was looking up in the Speakeasy Bar to see Ida Saki walk in as Sexy Witch. SO FUN!!!!!

Who will show up next?? Show up at SNM to find out! 😀

Update: January 16, 2022

Hello Everyone!!  I just wanted to let you know that @atoddswithmorning and I plan to continue the cast list project when the show reopens. Please give us a bit of time to figure out who has returned and which roles they are playing. (There will be some fun surprises for long-time fans!) We will update as we learn roles and performers, so for the first week or two it will be a bit chaotic, I'm sure.  As always, please remember that this is a fan project and not official. We only know as much information as we see with our own eyes or other fans tell us. If you notice an error on the cast list, please let us know!  All my best, and I hope to see you in the Hotel! Is Emily Oldak back in SNM? And if so, is she regularly playing roles other than Sexy Witch?

She has returned! I don’t know how regularly she will be in the hotel, but she is playing more roles than Sexy Witch.

Hi! I know this is potentially more work, especially with the cast cycle closing soon, but I was wondering if when updates are made to the cast list, if they could be in bold or in a color to be easier to identify?

This is a request that is made periodically, but it just isn’t possible. The cast list is difficult to keep up with and trying to keep track of who is bolded, who isn’t, when that should change, etc. is just more than is feasible. It seems like it should be a relatively easy task, but it really isn’t. I’m sorry!

I don't think the person who asked you who played Agnes expected you to know EVERY performer's role EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. They asked you politely with a bit of what they remember. You were not rude in how you responded, but it was so excessive.

I get asked these questions almost every. single. day. Every so often, I respond to one with enough emphasis that it is hopefully clear that I can’t help. I don’t have access to the information on the cast every night. I’m trying to save people the frustration of asking me and getting nothing back, which is usually what happens to their question. 

This lack of clarity on the cast is a problem. It’s just not one that I can solve. And it’s usually not one I can help with. Which is unfortunate. I wish I could, but I can’t.

Do you know the actress who played agnes 21th nov 2019. Thursday night? She has a light blonde hair and pale skin.

Please understand that I can’t tell you who played any particular character on any particular night. I have no idea! The only way I can answer that question is if you mention a physical characteristic that only one person who plays that character has. Which is more difficult than it seems.

The blonde-lady-who-plays-Agnes does not narrow it down. Nor does medium-hieght-brown-hair-plays-Malcolm. Or really-intense-Boy-Witch. Yeah...no clue, could be several people.

This is something you can take up with Immersive. It’s their choice not to create a one-sheet program for every night. Or to post an accurate cast list board with characters listed. They could do it. They just chose not to do the work and communication that would make it possible.

You can also post on your tumblr asking if anyone was at the show on the night in question. Perhaps someone was there and and can tell you who the performer was. I wish I had the money to go to the show as often as I want to. I don’t. These days, I go maybe twice a month, so that person probably isn’t me.

I wish I could help you, but I can’t. I’m sorry.

Just a FYI - I was talking to one of the front desk clerks and he mentioned the new cast member name plates have not come in yet So for those checking the cast board after the show, it may not be 100% complete.

Thank you as always for the hard work you put in maintaining this cast list! It is so helpful and always a joy to see a new role being added for veterans and new performers alike (my wish list to follow this cycle includes Jason Cianciulli as Boy Witch, Andy Talen as Fulton and Anna Schnaitter Fortune Teller!).

Why don’t you post cast lists on here? I know you keep a very good record of the current Sleep No More residents and which roles they play but I’ve been seeing a lot of requests for cast lists and nobody seems to be posting them despite going to performances regularly. They are just helpful for people who can’t go all the time

You are absolutely right, they are helpful. Perhaps people will decide they want to post them more this fall.  But it’s helpful to remember that we are not owed anyone else’s labor. And posting a cast list is actual work. I know some people who have stopped posting them because they found themselves spending too much time in the show worrying over if they were correct and if they had seen everyone. It was interfering with their enjoyment of the show. So they stopped.  I respect that. 

There are also some people who were getting really nasty messages from anons demanding cast lists and swearing at them if they didn’t post often. Obviously, they decided it wasn’t worth the abuse. So–if you want cast lists from people…be kind in your requests and understanding if they don’t provide them. Again, we aren’t owed anything. And acting like entitled jerks is the fastest way to guarantee we won’t get them anymore.

The McKittrick website has added new residents

Yes. The cast list will be updated over the next few weeks as we learn more information and have a chance to enter the new roles and performers.

I noticed they finally fixed the cast gallery on the website (though Quinn Dixon and Aliza Russell's names are still misspelled) but noticed one major change - Phil Atkins's photo has now been removed! I know the gallery is not the most accurate (Andrea Shimota's photo is still there even though she left the show) but still, I haven't seen Phil in the show in a long time - as far as I know he is the last original cast member. It would be the end of an era if he indeed left the show.

Emily Oldak’s photo is up under Emily Terndrup’s name, so that is another innacuracy. (I would be very glad to see either of them back in the show).

It would indeed be the end of an era of Phil has left the cast. Here’s to our longest running Duncan!
