Sly needs more credit for how completely and immediately down bad he was for Michael.
I don’t believe in love at first sight but Sly was by all means enjoying some mysterious cowboy eye-candy in episode 73.

Top Gun Maverick AU in which Jake knows sign language and Ice miraculous lives (let's say his wife dies instead)
Jake "Hangman" Seresin doesn't make it known to others he knows sign language and why should he? It doesn't impact his job as an aviator and it's not like he's around people who need it.
Well that was before he met thee Tom "Iceman" Kazansky.
////
Jake knew how to sign before he was even able to walk. Having a parent and siblings who are deaf will do that. He was born to a Father who was deaf and a Mother who was in the Navy. Growing up meant he had to know sign language with a mother who was hardly ever around even when she was back home on the ranch they had in Texas he needed it so he could communicate with his dad.
The only time he ever properly saw his mother was when she was on her paternity leaves for the twins (Michael and Johnathan) who were born deaf and the youngest (Lily) who could hear. After that they barely ever saw her as she was "Too busy trying to move her career along" (and isn't it funny that in the future the son she ignored managed to get a higher ranking than she would ever get).
So he had to step up. He was 5 years older than the twins and 11 years older than his baby sister and he knew his dad was struggling. So he helped teach his siblings sign language, he made sure that Lily didn't turn into one of those little brats he saw at school who thought they were special just because they fit within the norm of human society. And if he sat down with his dad when he was 18 and told him he was going to enlist so they wouldn't have to worry about money (since his mother never seemed to help out with her salary). His dad broke down crying telling him he hopes his son would return (That's when Jake finally settled in his heart, that woman was not his mother). So when he joined he made sure that every leave was spent with his family and he could never regret it even if his leave synced up with her's.
/////
Fast forward a few years and it's after the suicide mission that his sign language comes into use.
What's even funnier is that this story goes down in the history of how one Jake Seresin gets promoted at the same time as getting two Naval legends to finally realise their feelings for each other.
////
It was after the mission and everything was left in the past between Jake and Bradley. (Yes he can call his boyfriend by his real name NATASHA. No calling him by his Call Sign is not foreplay BOB). So he's surprised but not surprised when the squad gets a permanent home at Top Gun as a specialist unit with the help of Admiral Kazansky and phtff Admiral Mitchell (Thats a funny story within itself but that's a story of another time).
So to celebrate they all get smashed at the hard deck and if he's sat cuddled up to Bradley in a booth as Ice and Mav talk with Ice using a text to chat on his phone he can't help but notice every time Ice signs 'i love you' to a complete and utter oblivious and confused Mav. He can't help but sigh as he feels Bradley trying not to bust out laughing as Jake had done the same thing until Bradley came up one day and shoved flowers into his chest and signed it back his face red.
So he grabs Bradley's hand and stands up at the end of the table. Looks Mav right in the eye and goes "He's signing he loves you dumbass" and drags off a wheezing Bradley behind him leaving Mav stuttering and Ice blushing. He barely remembers the rest of that night.
So he's presently surprised that after a week he gets a call saying he's getting promoted to Captain due to his great service to the country. He can't help but sign in exaggeration as Bradley bursts out laughing when they find out Mav was the one who promoted him.
And if he proceeds to go up the ladder with his husband by his side and realise that when he reached Admiral he reached a rank his mother could never reach by ignoring his family. Who knew hiding his sign language would get him this far.
(if anyone would write this I would honestly love to read it)

Trick or treat
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Charles Leclerc x female!reader
Summary - You love trick or treating, but your boyfriend has never done it so you set out a mission to change that.
Warning - none I don’t think so
The 23 Halloween Season
-
I had grown up trick or treating, always have done it ever since I could remember. Dressing up in different costumes every year before going to every house collecting different types of sweets.
So when I found out about how Charles had never gone trick or treating, I set out to make the paddock ready for a halloween night. Managing to get every team to join in, admittedly Redbull was hard but with the help of Max I managed.
-
It was Saturday, luckily Charles had a good qualify result with front row. So when we got back to our hotel room, where I had two matching Barbie and Ken costumes waiting for us, I could kind of see the confusion on his face. "Surprise! We're going trick or treating!" Jumping up and down with excitement, I could see Charles looking happy with the idea but still confused.
"What around the hotel?" He asked as I calmed down.
"No silly, we're going trick or treating in the paddock!" As soon as the word ‘paddock’ Charles’ face got even more confused.
“Ok, you still look very confused”
“Very is an understatement!” Charles chuckled slightly.
-
Making our way through the paddock entrance, we were both blown away with how the staff had decorated each team hospitality individually and equally.
Looking down at our costumes, we look amazing. “We look so good!” I say clapping my hands with excitement which Charles just smiles at.
“Oh shit Barbie and Ken! The couple have arrived!” The voice of Lando Norris shouted from just outside the McLaren hospitality. We walked over to him hand in hand.
“Hey mate!” Charles greeted Lando, who was wearing a Batman costume. “Ah Batman, I love this!” I nodding along, showing my agreement to Charles’ comment.
“Of course! I’m actually so excited for this!” Lando excited told us, jumping up and down in his spot.
“Always loved trick or treating but Charlie has never done it so first time for him” I explained Charles’ lack of halloween experience to the Brit. Charles carefully snaking his arm around my waist. “Let’s get to it!”
Moving from Lando, me and Charles started to make our ways to the different hospitalities. Slowly collecting a variation of sweets, bumping into multiple friends from each team.
-
We bumped into George and Alex who were dressed up as Michael Myers and Ghostface.
"Hey guys, Lily's busy so I'm stuck with this twat!" Alex rolls his eyes whilst side eyeing the Brit to his side. George gives his friend a nudge before giving me a side hug.
"I must say Y/n you really pulled this whole thing of quite well, thank you" I hear him whisper in my ear, sending me a cheeky grin which goes unnoticed by Charles who's in conversation with Alex.
After some time, we all finish up our conversation and Charles drags us towards the next hospitality.
-
Whilst we were just leaving the Alphine hospitality, who gave out small individual bags of candy corn, we ran into Daniel dressed as a cowboy and Max dressed as Harry Potter.
"Yee haw cowboy!" Charles greets Daniel by tipping his own Ken style cowboy hat. "Have you guys been to the McLaren hospitality yet?"
Max shakes his head curiously. "No? Wait what are they giving out?"
After visiting each hospitality area, Charles found us a small spot to sit and count what sweets we got. In the end, we had a large range of options with some apple bags to snickers.
“You know I can see why you love trick or treating so much, it’s fun” Charles comments after looking through his small bag, a genuine smile taking place on his face.
“Yay I’ve finally converted you to love my favourite Halloween activity!” I did a small celebratory dance in my seat, as to which Charles did a small laugh at.
“Who’s idea was this? We should thank them…” He throws away a small comment unknowingly, opening a snickers bar.
A small almost cheeky smile made itself known on my face. Hesitating I say “Um well it was actually my idea…” Turning his head from the snicker, we lock eyes.
“You know, why I am even surprised?” Charles laughs at the fact that he was so oblivious.
“I had to! I needed to show you the best of Halloween!” Reaching an arm around my shoulder, Charles pulls me into his side with my head distinctively going to rest on him.
He pulls his head down, kissing my temple gently. “I love you so much Cheri…”

(An Attempt at) A Maul Masterlist
hello folks! after seeing multiple requests in the tag for recs for Maul content or help finding Maul stories, I decided to make a list trying to do both for everything I've found because it took me a lot of searching to figure out what's actually out there for this man. and the answer is a lot, actually. So, hoping this saves others the time and the struggle, here's all the Maul stuff i've found along with what I would rec and why:
Stuff specifically about Maul
Books:
Episode 1 Adventures 3: The Fury of Darth Maul by Ryder Windham | junior novella
As far as I'm aware, this is the first published work for Maul. It's a junior novel about Maul carrying out a mission for Sidious, and it can be accompanied by a game book for a choose-your-own adventure. The novel itself though, is one of my favorite Maul stories because it defines his characterization for me.
The Wrath of Darth Maul also by Ryder Windham | junior novel
Maul's og origin in Legends. I think it's a must-read. This book was published alongside Maul's revival in TCW and seeks to reconcile his Legends background with that character by gathering his previous lore into one cohesive story. It notably includes and expands upon the events of the following three items:
Star Wars Episode 1 Journal: Darth Maul by either Judy Blundell or Jude Watson | novella A story that offers some of Maul's narration on his upbringing and his training with Sidious. "Darth Maul: Restraint" by James Luceno | short story Published in the second edition of Shadow Hunter (listed below), this story details Maul's time at Orsis Academy, the relationships he's forming, and his run-in with Mother Talzin. Great for showing his inner-conflict and devotion to Sidious. "Darth Maul: Endgame" also by James Luceno | short story This one is published in the paperback 2012 edition of TPM novel by Terry Brooks. It's an introspective piece that takes place after Qui-Gon, Anakin, and Obi-Wan escape Maul's attack on Tatooine.
Darth Maul: Saboteur also ALSO by James Luceno | short story
Originally published as an ebook, this story was also published in Shadow Hunter. It follows Maul on one of his first missions as a true apprentice of Sidious and shows his characterization when he's just outside that restrictive control. I really like this one for the Drama and the Subtle Characterization tm
Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter by Michael Reaves | novel
One of the two blessed full novels for Maul. In it Maul is on a mission to hunt down a target and has a very early encounter with the Jedi. This one is great for characterization and narration; I have it fully marked up with highlights, sticky notes, and bookmarks.
Maul: Lockdown by Joe Schreiber | novel
The second blessed full novel. So. Much. Fun. Maul goes to jail! Takes part in cage fights! Chases birds! Reveals the depths of his anxiety and need for attachment! Mystery and gore! 10/10.
"An Unwilling Apprentice" by George Mann | short story, found in the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge edition of Myths and Fables
Maul's canon origin. Personally, I Do Not See It.
Stories of Jedi and Sith - "The Ghosts of Maul" by Michael Moreci | short story in the listed anthology
I highly recommend listening to the audio book for this one if you can. Sam Witwer narrates it and it's fantastic. Love hearing Maul wail in despair. (and also love a man being haunted by his past.)
The next two are unique because they're re-tellings of TCW episodes. I like seeing how different writers interpret those events so I like them, but I don't know if that counts as something folks would want to read for Maul.
The Clone Wars: Stories of Light and Dark - "Dark Vengeance" by Rebecca Roanhorse | short story in the listed anthology This one recounts TCW "Brothers" and "Revenge." I don't remember much specifically from it, but I do remember it being told as if to a small child, and I thought that was neat. The Clone Wars: Darth Maul: Shadow Conspiracy by Jason Fry | junior novel Covers "Revival," "Eminence," "Shades of Reason," and "The Lawless." The author writes like they're obsessed with Maul's voice, and frankly, I don't blame them.
Comics:
Darth Maul (2000) by Ron Marz | comic series, 4 issues
Maul goes on yet another mission for Sidious (unsurprisingly, this is the basic plot of most of his Legends materials). Violence ensues. Maul is certified Cool.
The following two comics can both be found in the Star Wars Legends Epic Collection: Rise of the Sith Volume 1 and Star Wars Legends: Rise of the Sith Omnibus
Star Wars Tales 10 - "Nameless" by Christian Read | single comic, found in the listed issue, Star Wars Tales Volume 3, or the above 2 collections Maul is sent to kill a Jedi master. To do so and improve his prowess in combat, Maul constructs his infamous double-bladed lightsaber. Star Wars Tales 24 - "Marked" by Rob Williams | single comic, found in the listed issue, Star Wars Tales Volume 6, or the above 2 collections A comic about obedience and fear; Maul grapples with the thought that Sidious might take another apprentice.
The Clone Wars: The Sith Hunters by Henry Gilroy and Stephen Melching | graphic novella
It's very funny to me that this is considered Legends even though it features TCW Maul and Savage. This one takes place after TCW episode "Revenge" and I'm gonna be honest-- I don't remember a lot from this, but I do remember that it shows Maul's earliest days on Lotho Minor so that's sick luv u spidermaul 4 5ever.
Darth Maul -- Death Sentence by Tom Taylor | comic series, 4 issues; also found in Star Wars Legends Epic Collection: The Clone Wars Volume 2
Maul leads a revolution while trying to rescue his brother. The story takes place between The Sith Hunters and TCW season 5 "Revival," filling in some of what Maul and Savage were doing in that time.
Darth Maul (2017) by Cullen Bunn | comic series, 5 issues
Luke Ross and Nolan Woodard just get it okay. I love the way Maul looks in this series. In my head, this comic is the canon alternative to Shadow Hunter, where Maul confronts a Jedi early on, but the differences between his characterization in these two stores is the basis of my understanding of the difference between Legends Maul and canon Maul.
Age of Republic - Darth Maul by Jody Houser | single issue comic, found independently or in the collection Star Wars: Age of Republic - Villains
Maul goes on an (Sith ashes) acid trip while on a visit to Malachor with Sidious.
Darth Maul -- Son of Dathomir by Jeremy Barlow | comic series, 4 issues
This series is especially interesting to me because it's adapted from TCW season 6 scripts that weren't produced. It follows Maul as he's rescued by Death Watch after the conclusion of his arc in season 5, and shows his alliance with Talzin as they confront Sidious. I think it's great for fleshing out that relationship and that side of canon Maul's character.
Star Wars Adventures (2020) 3 - "Tales of Villainy: The Hostage" by Shane McCarthy and Michael Moreci | single comic, found in the listed issue or in Star Wars Adventures: The Light and the Dark
Maul allows himself to be captured in an attempt to bring another crime syndicate into the Shadow Collective. Is this one monumental? No. Am I unreasonably fond of it? Hell yeah. If you've seen that panel of Maul and Savage drinking at a diner, it's from this comic. Also has Maul in chains for those of yall that are into that.
Star Wars Adventures: Return to Vader's Castle 1 - "The Horned Devil" by Cavan Scott | single comic found in the listed issue or in the collections Star Wars Adventures: Return to Vader's Castle and Star Wars Adventures: Beware Vader's Castle
A "sPoOKy" story about Maul on Lotho Minor. Once again, luv u spidermaul 4 5ever. The cover art is fuckin sick.
Star Wars Visionaries - "Old Wounds" by Aaron McBride | single comic found in the listed graphic novel, in Star Wars Omnibus: Wild Space Volume 2, Star Wars Legends Epic Collection: The Empire Volume 4, and Star Wars Legends: The Empire Omnibus Volume 2
In this comic, Maul tracks Obi-Wan to Tatooine for revenge. Sounds familiar, but this was published in 2005, before Maul's revival in TCW. His design in that show, though, was based off of this comic, and his episodes in Rebels show a similar influence. I like this one because I think it's fun to see how his narrative was evolving as different writers took on the story, and to see the path from where he began in Legends up to his end.
Stuff Maul is in: (not specifically about him, but he makes an appearance)
Books:
Darth Plagueis by James Luceno | novel
Our man JL is back with more Maul... just not as the focus. If you're going to read one thing from this "Stuff Maul is in" list, let it be this one. Granted, it's a loooooooooong book, but it's really great for fleshing out the Plagueis and Sidious and Maul dynamic. Maul does have some sections of his own narration, but the best bit of this novel is seeing how Plagueis and Sidious see him. It also has some of his original Legends origin!
Queen's Peril by E.K. Johnston | novel
This book is about Padme! Who I love dearly, so I enjoyed reading it. Maul has a few sections of narration in it that show his canon headspace.
Comics:
The first set of these is a mental collection I like to call "Legends writers just Try Shit" and it's a bunch of different ways Maul was brought back before TCW.
Star Wars Tales 9 - "Resurrection" by Ron Marz | single comic found in the listed issue, in Star Wars Tales Volume 3, or in Star Wars Legends Epic Collection: The Empire Volume 8 The Maul in this one has been resurrected by a dark side cult to be the true apprentice to Sidious. The story is mostly about Vader, but his duel with Maul is cool. Star Wars Tales 17 - "Phantom Menaces" by Joe Casey | single comic found in the listed issue, in Star Wars Tales Volume 5, or in Star Wars Legends Epic Collection: The New Republic Volume 5 While on a diplomatic mission, Luke Skywalker is attacked by a hologram of Maul and goes off to investigate. This is the one I use to bless my friends with the cursed knowledge of Maul's brain in a tank. Star Wars: Jedi Quest 1 by Ryder Windham | first comic in a series, also found in Star Wars Omnibus: Menace Revealed and Star Wars Legends Epic Collection: The Menace Revealed Volume 3 Truth be told, I have not read this one because I can't find it for free. In it, Maul is a training hologram? I think? For Anakin? idk. There's also a novel series by the same name and I got annoyed looking for what isn't really Maul anyway.
Star Wars: Republic (1998) 40 - "The Devaronian Version, Part 1" by John Ostrander | comic in a long ass series, but the one you want is found in the listed issue, Star Wars Omnibus: Quinlan Vos: Jedi in Darkness, or Star Wars Legends Epic Collection: The Menace Revealed Volume 3
I don't know what this is about even though I have read it; Maul is in it for like 3 panels; he gets called "nasty boy" and makes someone wet themselves in fright. Obviously core reading for the Maul experience.
Jedi Council: Acts of War by Randy Stradley | comic series, four issues by the listed name, or in Star Wars Omnibus: Rise of the Sith and Star Wars Legends Epic Collection: Rise of the Sith, Volume 1
Once again, I do not know what this is about because I have a very difficult time reading comics when Maul is not there. And in this series he's there for < 15 panels. But he looks pretty when he is there.
Obi-Wan -- A Jedi's Purpose 2 - "A Shadow Falls on the Padawan" by Christopher Cantwell | issue of a comic series
This comic includes a brief scene showing Obi-Wan remembering his and Maul's final battle on Tatooine and commenting on Maul's mental state. Makes me super emo.
And finally, encyclopedia-type stuff!: (not necessarily stories, but has neat info-- especially because they show what was considered canon at the time of their publication)
Darth Maul: Sith Apprentice by Jo Casey and Catherine Saunders | children's reader
Yes, you read that right. But this kid's book has fun information about Maul based on TPM. I especially like the image call-out for his "heavy action boots." It brings me joy.
Star Wars: The Phantom Menace: The Expanded Visual Dictionary by David West Reynolds and Jason Fry | what it says on the tin
The adult version of the above book. Shows the inside of Maul's lightsaber, which I love. Also still points out the heavy action boots. Clearly, they are a key component of the character.
And that's everything! There are some re-tellings of like, TPM, in novel or comic form but I was never super interested in those so I haven't read them.
If you know of something else please let me know! (Both so I can add it and so I can read it). Similarly, if you see any mistakes on the list, please tell me. It took me like 7 hours to type it up and check and cross-reference everything and some mistakes probably crept in there. If you're like me and you've gotten through (most of) this list, but still want More Maul, please check out my fic rec! There's a bunch of banger Maul fics there. Tagging @maul-my-heart. Hope you have fun in your reading!

Everyone talks about how shitty it was that Michael and Adam were cut short in s15 and how they wanted to see them go on cute dates and move in together and like. Sure. But I wish they'd been expanded in a different way. Imagine Adam being around for Michael's "betrayal" of Sam and Dean. Or maybe the angels welcome Michael out of the Cage and presenting him with the throne and Michael just...not knowing what to do. Or maybe God commands Michael to kill Jack and Michael needs to seriously grapple with potentially making the same mistake twice. And maybe all this is happening while Gabriel or Raphael is alive which adds extra archangel family drama to the pot.
All these hypotheticals just to say that I would've loved to see Michael be a part of a genuine conflict in s15 especially with Adam. They had each other for 1000+ years but now things have changed, and in the grand scheme of the Universe, what is 1000 years anyway? Maybe this was God's plan all along. Okay, so maybe all humans aren't all literally maggots, but is the fucking archangel Michael going to throw away everything he lived for for the angels' Plan B Adam Milligan?
So imagine Michael actually going back to and listening to God or Heaven and Adam being so offended not on the Winchesters' behalf, but just on principle after everything God's done. Adam gives him an ultimatum and tells him he needs to wise up or get out of his body, and Michael goes...you know what? No. I'm an archangel and you're my vessel. Why would you get a say here? So maybe Michael takes Adam for a ride, stuffs him to the back of his consciousness and gets on with his business like the Cage never happened.
Eventually Michael does leave Adam, either by halfway coming to his senses or getting kicked out by force and obviously that experience would be very traumatic for Adam who would just...not know what to do with himself after being betrayed and violated by his only friend for 1000+ years.
But whatever, right? Michael is an archangel. His Father is back. He doesn't need Adam or a vessel. (Except he sososososososo fucking does.)
So imagine Adam tagging along with tfw for some mission that goes wrong. Everyone is surrounded. It's game over. But then whatever demons or angels or whatever are about to kill them get smote like it's nothing. The ground trembles. The windows break. Absolutely blinding white light spills in. Everyone has to shield their eyes and there's this ear-grating noise that only Adam seems able to be able understand. Everyone is writhing on the ground, clutching their ears and Adam is just standing there casually like he's having a depressing and slightly tedious conversation. It goes back and forth between the most ghastly noises anyone has ever heard and Adam saying something like, "I don't know if I can trust you anymore" and this goes on for some time. We never actually hear what Michael says, but it seems to have a major effect on Adam who eventually does decide to forgive him and let him back in.
I also like the idea of Michael taking his throne back with Adam?? Like I know we're not necessarily rooting for Heaven on this show but yesss king make John's secret third son your Heavenly consort 💞💞 I do like the domestic potential Midam has but it doesn't just have to be domestic you know???

A funny little story full of funny little coincidences and sweet serendipity, but I know people on this site love that
This is a funny story of how I got into the Good Omens fandom. And it is so weird that sometimes I even amaze myself when I tell someone. But I love to tell this one....... so....................................
Late 2021 I watched Wilde and I absolutely loved it. And the best thing out of the movie was that I discovered Michael Sheen. I remember at the time being struck by two things: a) how this actor who had a side character and a small role was so magnificently out-acting great actors like Jude Law (just my personal opinion plz don't come at me for that) and all because of these beautiful micro-expression which I find myself criticizing many big actors like Brad Pitt even for that they lack good subtle micro expression and its as if their faces are dead, nothing is going on there. But Michael is always acting even when the camera is not focused on him he is in character. And (b) his fine beauty. I mean as a lesbian and more than that a portrait artist, I was mesmerized by the artistic beauty in the most non-sexual way.
And I found myself spiraling down the MS hole. And I watched literally everything he has ever done. Except one thing.
Good Omens.
That was because I love Neil Gaiman as a writer. His books have saved me during some very dark times in my love and his work is absolutely sacred to me. To be honest I didn't enjoy his other adaptations. They sucked the juiciness out of the books and kinda confirmed my earlier conviction that no filmed adaption of a book will ever do justce to the written word.
And it's so weird that I had seen all the other adaptations but I hadn't ever heard of GO adaptation.
And then one day I was like yk what just f^ck it. I'll just watch it and strike this one of my list (I'm a cinephile on a mission to watch almost everything ever made in the world).
So I'm watching it and I'm like oh look MS looks so ethereal. Born to play an angel. Look at those floofy wings.
BUT something was bugging me. Usually in most MS movies/shows he keeps out-shining, out-acting his co-stars. Just out there being the best making everyone else look flimsy. But here there was one person who is NOT looking flimsy with MS. Infact he keeps complementing him so perfectly it looks like a graceful waltz.
'Yeah so the demon guy is a great actor I guess'
But that's not why my mind is bugging me. There was something else some weird deja vu kind of familiarity.
I try to ignore it.
Two days later my sister is scrolling through her Pinterest and she goes "What's a Doctor Who?"
And I was like "It's an old childhood show I used to watch, you wouldn't know (she has never seen Doctor Who btw).... why're you asking?"
And she holds up her phone and she's like "Idk it says he's a Doctor Who?" (btw I love the way she says 'a Doctor Who')
And my mind went whoooooooosh!
It's such a strange feeling when stuff you'd forgotten, stuff that was once really special to you, but seems to be lost, and yet is only nestling in some corner of you chaotic mind waiting for the day it'll one day come into the light again, that's tuff comes whooshing back.
I grew up loving DW. Especially Ten. Well I was a tad bit pissed when Nine regenerated into DT and I was like noooooooo who's this skinny f^cker.... I don't want it. But I just fell in love with Ten. To my little lonely-kid-in-school-weirdo-nerd-wallflower self Ten was a best friend who made me feel that it's okay to be different to be geeky and childlike without being embarrassed. Ten was a secret best frined.
And when he regenerated I stopped watching the show. And I forgot about it because I was so busy adulting I lost track of everything I had cherished as a kid.
Now almost 15 years later I found out that my new favorite character (along with Aziraphale cz they're equally special to me) was played by the same person who played my childhood favorite character. And that he's also the best actor I have ever seen so I spiraled down DT hole and I am obsessed (not ashamed to say this). And guess what I found.... almost every show or movie I had watched as kid, he was there.... Ducktales, Harry Potter, Loud House, Einstein and Eddington, Mary Queen of Scots...... its endless.
And the 60th Anniversary special, well it's the most specialist thing to me. I feel like a child again.
GO and DW. Best things that ever happened to me
So thanking Neil Gaiman and Russel T. Davies and MS and DT for making my childhood better....... constantly, because it's never over..... the child lives in me constantly...... she's alive again. Thank you for keeping that child alive and helping her through the darkest nights .

Destiel Fic Recs
It's that time of year where nobody knows what day it is or how they got there, so why not hide from your family/boss to read Destiel fics. And friends, this last list of 2022 may be the best so far.
The Leap by FriendofCarlotta @friendofcarlotta (Explicit, 82k words)
I don't know how to explain the way 91W lit up my brain like one of those old electricity balls at Spencer's but I thought I would never have that experience again until this fic came along. It's a very different, much softer story, but this fic has the 91W vibes that make you want to crunch on your own bones (vintage gay sadness is the tag we live in here). Its so deeply rooted in a sense of place and time. Dean and Cas are so clearly and immediately bonded and kept apart by circumstance. The longing y'all. The way they can't help but fall in love at the risk of their lives and freedom. It's gorgeous.
The fic is set in post WWII occupied Berlin in a divided Germany just before the wall goes up. Cas is a closeted police officer in East Berlin, trying his best to survive under a brutal dictatorship in an environment in which reporting your neighbors is not just encouraged, but expected. Dean is an American-born mechanic residing in West Berlin. For both of them, falling in love with a man could mean arrest, prosecution, and worse.
But they can't help the instant attraction between them. Neither of them is ready to walk away from the hope of a future together, as impossible of a dream as that is.
Beyond the 91W vibes, the thing about this fic is that the canon parallels are just so beautiful. Cas is expected to comply with a rigid hierarchy and to obey absolutely. Dean is trying his best to find optimism for those around him, and he has an irresistible early seasons charm and brashness that makes you fall instantly in love with him. And while there is period homophobia and oppression in this fic, FriendofCarlotta also pulls so much queer joy into the story. A slice of gorgeous community built against all odds and euphoria at finding love and family and shelter in the most hostile of places.
This story made me ugly cry (a true feat) and it's one of those stories you finish and consider turning back to Chapter 1 and reading it all over again. Seriously. Go read it then yell at me about it.
The Law of Equivalent Exchange by awed_frog @awed-frog (Mature, 60k)
This is the fic you have to read in one sitting because you don't want to be crushed by a falling desk like in Mystery Spot and never see the ending. It is gorgeous in a way that I think may have irrevocably changed me. A testament to love and devotion that left me absolutely breathless.
Cas, Angel of Tears, is assigned to watch over the lives of two brothers, tied together and experiencing hundreds of lifetimes of sorrow and joy in preparation for some mysterious Heavenly plan. His mission is to watch over a green-eyed boy, to guide him into each next life. The human doesn't know, doesn't remember (mostly), but it's impossible to ignore the growing bond between them. Cas finds himself inexorably changed by watching the many lives he experiences.
This is a canon fic (and tbh if you don't know canon the middle is going to confuse you because it's a reimagining of canon events with this context). That means awed-frog has somehow managed to make the crunchy Destiel scenes even more heart wrenching (extra crispy?).
This fic had me crying by Chapter 2. It's just a beautiful sweeping epic. And it does have a soft and beautiful landing. I will be thinking about it for awhile.
Märchen by tiamatv (Mature, 93k)
Fairy tale princess Dean Winchester. That's the delightful headline for this really fun and inventive fic. Dean of Winchester is the eldest prince but he lacks magic, making his brother the heir. What else do you do with a spare but promise to marry him off for political reasons, in this case to Michael, an Angel from a neighboring kingdom who lent his swords to Winchester to defeat the demons.
But Dean isn't gonna be some kept pretty thing, so he shocks everyone by saying no. Michael won't marry Dean without his consent, but that term is used very loosely, as angels do. So Dean is locked in a tower full of monsters where he is cursed to remain until he consents or finds his true love.
It's a tale as old as time (yes I said that), but there are some delightfully fresh elements. From Charlie the dragon princess (marry me, Charlie) to a sentient carnivorous hedge, the quirky characters make this fic impossible to put down. There are also some delightful genre choices such as an omnipotent narrator that make this fic feel comforting yet fresh.
In the end, you will be rooting for the angel knight and his prince to slay their inner demons.
A Crash Course in Computer Safety by followthattardis @debatchery (Explicit, 29k)
I love a good fusion and as a fan of the show Chuck, this Chuck Destiel AU absolutely slaps. If you are unfamiliar with the show, it's still an absolutely fun ride. Dean is stuck working at a Best Buy rip off as essentially a member of the Geek Squad. His life is in shambles after his best friend got him expelled from Stanford and stole his girlfriend, but he's making due.
That is until a mysterious email from his ex best friend throws him into a world of intrigue. Suddenly he's got the CIA and the NSA breathing down his neck. Even worse, he has to pretend to be dating the scorching hot CIA operative as a cover.
The Destiel feels are surprisingly potent for a mash-up, and the story is paced so well you won't want to put it down. Bonus points for perfect use of Henriksen.
Buckle up and cue up Short Skirt-Long Jacket by Cake.
The Shadow in the Corner by MalMuses @malmuses (Explicit, 47k)
I don't know that there are many fic writers who excel so thoroughly at classic romance as MalMuses. Her fics bring such a fantastic mix of horny, humor and softness. This one is no exception.
A Victorian steampunk story, this one is set in an alternative timeline where magic is known and the MOL openly fight monsters. Dean aka the Red Hand is tasked with a special investigation - to solve why a monster seems to be targeting the head of the agency's little brother, Castiel.
There's a good bit if mystery and intrigue, but the the headline for me was the delightful way Dean and Cas were both very aware of this instant connection and slowly orbiting each other as gravity pulled them closer. There's a softness to their relationship and it's largely external angst that keeps them apart as long as they are, but you never doubt that they are entirely gone for one another. Yes they suffer from perpetual horniness around each other, but its also very clear they genuinely like each other in a way that melted my cold dead heart.
In the end, a fun read with an exceptionally satisfying ending.
4:08 to Tombstone by Zuzeca (Explicit, 20k)
Cas is a Seraph with a mission: to save Dean Winchester, to retrieve the Michael Sword from Hell. But Dean perceives Hell not as it is, but instead as the wild west. Thrown into a bisexual cowboy fantasy, Cas has to navigate a dangerous escape while protecting this beautiful soul from those who would destroy it.
This fic is an absolute treasure. Amazing trueform angel descriptions, some gorgeous treatment of Dean’s Hell trauma, and a poignant bond between Dean and Cas that makes it a really sweet read (though mind the tags it gets dark). Its a really fun and novel take on the escape from Hell.
All That Remains by DoctorProfessorSong (Mature, 16k)
I am going to be annoying and self-rec here but I just released a fic I am super proud of. It's bittersweet and emotional and I poured my grief and parts of my soul into it. The tags are daunting but I do think it ends in a satisfying and hopeful place.
The stabfest story examines a canon divergent world where Dean is turned into a demon by the MOC, and Cas is forced to kill him to free him. He has a plan to save Dean, but it fails and Dean makes a deal with the Shadow to escape the Empty. The same deal as Cas. What follows is a reinterpretation of canon where both of them are unable to speak the truth because they risk losing it all.
It's a story about love and loss and hope. And perhaps most importantly it's a story about faith, not as some cheap fix-all, but as something that you hold in your heart in the darkest places.
Tag list below the cut. Let me know if you want to be tagged in future lists.

How about "come back to bed." With Michael Kinsella? That man deserves some love.
thank you for the prompt amanda 🥺 i hope you enjoy 🩷
warnings: afab!reader, it’s michael there’s smut it’s disgusting it’s dirty enjoy
“Where the hell do you think you’re going?”
There’s no menace in the question—if anything, he sounds impressed.
“To go clean myself up?”
“No no no,” he tuts, sounding like a thoroughly disappointed school teacher. “You get back here.”
“Michael, I’m… sticky,” you whine. It’s the least gross way of saying that his spend is leaking down your thighs and it’s starting to get uncomfortable, but it still doesn’t land gently.
“Your legs are still working,” he points out, gesturing for emphasis at the way you’re standing straight without so much as a wobble. “That means I didn’t do my job right. Come back to bed, love.”
Your mouth goes dry at the insinuation. He’s already made you come three times—his job was extremely well done. The fact that he thinks he didn’t do well enough is a little offensive, in all honesty. No one’s ever made you feel the way he does.
But he gets like this on certain days. Needy to please you, to know that he takes good care of you. Needy to forget the day’s events and lose himself in pleasuring you.
Who are you to say no?
You let him guide you back against the pillows, the uncomfortable sticky sensation between your legs completely forgotten as his lips meet yours in a sloppy, languid kiss. He could pull you apart with only his mouth, and that’s exactly what he’s planning to do.
His lips are slow and soft as they make their way down your body—he’s not in any hurry. His only goal is to pull you apart, to work you up and over to new heights of euphoria.
You’re already sensitive when his mouth finds your heat and it makes you jolt. You can feel the way he smirks into your skin, proud of the effect he has on you.
“So sweet,” he moans before looking up at you sweetly, as if he’s not currently eating his spend out of your pussy.
You writhe with the movements of his tongue, the way he knows exactly where to lick and suck to drive you to the edge of ecstasy within a matter of seconds.
And then he slowly pushes a finger into your aching core, and it makes your legs shake. He notices immediately, of course, and the proud smirk that washes over his face tells you this is the intended effect.
“That’s my girl,” he coos, diving back in to lap at your folds again. “Close, arentcha?”
All you can do is nod and continue to buck your hips along to the rhythmic thrusts of his finger inside you, especially as he adds another one.
“That’s it,” he hums with a particular air of pride. “Take it just like that, so good for me.”
You don’t have time to warn him until it’s too late—until you’re already gushing and squirting over his fingers and onto the sheets, thoroughly soaking linen sheets that were already in need of a good wash.
He knows exactly how to read your body, and he pulls his fingers away just before it becomes too much, letting you take your time in coming down while he kisses and sucks marks on the tender flesh of your thighs.
“That’s my girl,” he whispers again once you’re mostly back in your body. “So good for me, love. Thank you.”
You don’t know why he’s thanking you when you’re the one who just came so hard your soul left your body, but you nod in response anyway.
He kisses your left cheek, then your right, then your lips. “Think you can stand, love? I’ll get fresh sheets.”
As it turns out, you can’t stand. You’re as wobbly as a newborn fawn and you end up having to sit on the floor while Michael changes the bed covers.
And like the cocky shit he is, he just grins at you before helping you up into the freshly-made bed.
“Mission accomplished, then?”
”Yeah,” you agree, still slightly breathless. “Yeah, I’d definitely say so.”

Spouses Omegaverse pack
Simon - Alpha and Pack Alpha
Kate - Alpha and second in command
Sophie - Beta
Penelope - Omega that people think is a Beta
Phillip - Alpha that people think is a Beta
Michael - Alpha with strong pheromones
Gareth - Beta
Lucy - Omega
Don't ask Simon how he became a pack alpha, he was perfectly fine just being a lone wolf and letting his bloodline die. He has no idea how he somehow gained seven (possibly more) others and somehow gained pack instincts. He did not ask for this! Now he knows why Anthony complained so much about his seven(+) hellions whose life missions are to stress him out.
Thank god for his bestie Kate who helps them keep their pack in line, at least when she's not busy growling at some lord who caused offense against their pack. He wished she stopped doing that. Even minor things she'll growl.
He and Kate both being alphas has also really helped when they're trying to wrangle their different pack memebers.
Then there's sweet reliable Sophie. The softer side to Kate's hard edge. On her own she might one of Simon's favorites. Her strong set of moral rules definitely keeps her in the top three. Her bestie on the other hand . . .
Michael deserves half a book from the stress he creates for Simon with his merry rake ways. Simon isn't even sure how they got Michael. He just randomly showed up one day after retiring from the military and never left. Despite that he is loyal to the pack and is always there for them if needed and vis versa.
Sophie being a beta isn't all that affected much with Michael's strong pheromones. Michael is grateful for that and he doesn't have to worry all that much about overwhelming Sophie should he accidentally slip on his control or forget to wear a perfume that helps dull his pheromones.
The other half of that stress book goes to Penelope. Usually a shy wallflower who loves writing, pray you never fall to her sharp tongue and observant eyes, nor ever see her bored. That's when she goes commit crimes and do shady business deals on the black market. He's seen her make a man cry with only a few words.
Penelope's best friend in the pack is Phillip. The pack jokes it's because Penelope is a wallflower and Phillip is a botanist that they get along so well. Simon does wonder if there is some truth to it though because Phillip rather be among the plants than around people. Michael calls Phillip a silent alpha. Well until you get him talking about plants.
Simon has watched Phillip fact check Penelope's stories when it comes to plants. Both claiming that that one poison scene must be accurate to what the berries do to the body. Also, Simon can make sure Penelope is okay when she goes commit crimes if Phillip is there with her. Them both being constantly mistaken for as betas instead of an alpha and omega respectively does help in this fact as well.
Then there is the babies of the pack, Gareth and Lucy. Actually now that Simon thinks about it this whole pack thing may have started when his godmother, Lady Danbury, threw her grandson Gareth at him and told him that he's Simon's responsibility now. Simon saw too much of himself in Gareth, a boy with a hunger and something to prove, he couldn't say no.
Then there's little Lucy, sweet Lucy who is always trying to make everyone happy. Simon and Kate are working on making her a little more selfish in that she'll thing for her happiness for a change.

The more that I think about it, the more I realize that Ava’s character arc as the Warrior Nun actually regressed in season two.
Ultimately, Beatrice hits the nail on the head in their fight at the very beginning: Ava does whatever she wants, jumps headfirst into danger without thinking about the consequences, leads with her heart and emotions instead of her head.
Because of the intense pressure Ava puts on herself to be the Warrior Nun, she becomes dangerously self-sacrificing. In her desperation to not let the team down, she throws herself at every threat that appears (whether she needs to or not) and the team gets smoked with her. Afraid to lose her friends, she takes on the whole weight of the mission alone. In the end, she abandons them for a solo mission that nearly gets her killed.
One of the key lessons Beatrice tried to impart to her in season one was to trust her team. The Warrior Nun is not supposed to go at it alone or exist in isolation. She is a symbol, a representative of a collective unit. If only the Warrior Nun was needed, there would be no OCS. There would be no team.
Though the Warrior Nun is supposed to be their designated leader, that doesn’t necessarily mean that she is. In season one, Ava was a complete newbie with no background knowledge, experience, or training whatsoever. Despite her special status, her role was limited to one specific thing and it was the team’s job to protect her so that she could fulfill it. Everyone had their own part to play.
But Ava chafed against this system. She didn’t like the idea of other people fighting for her and wanted to do something, even though she wasn’t properly equipped. Beatrice and the others consistently had to tell her, “No. That’s not your job. You’re going to get yourself killed. Your responsibility is this and that’s all you need to worry about.”
Somewhere along the way, Ava forgets that. She gets roped in with Michael and Reya’s plan (a horrible, stupid plan that doesn’t even work!). She blames herself for everything that goes wrong and believes it’s her sole responsibility to protect the team – that she needs to take the biggest risks and make the ultimate sacrifice.
But the biggest difference between her and the OCS? They chose this. They signed up for this. They have trained for this. They’re prepared to lay down their lives for this, they know what’s at stake. And you need them!
Two seconds after Ava and Michael defect for their own plan, Michael is killed on the spot. Ava is left outnumbered and alone with no way to call for backup.
Meanwhile, one-woman-army Beatrice is slicing through every last one of Adriel’s men to find her. That’s the girl you left behind?
Enough with all this “I’m doing this to save you”. You need her to save you!
Every time Ava was in trouble this season, my reaction was either: “Yaas! Beatrice has arrived” or: “Shoot. Beatrice! Beatrice, help her!”
Beatrice has saved her a thousand times over and when the two of them are fighting side by side – protecting each other, leaning on each other, trusting each other, working together – they’re unstoppable.
After Ava falls fifty feet from a building, she tells Beatrice that “they can’t beat us [...] Not together.”
So why did you leave her? 😭

So thinking about Will the morning of the battle of Camp Half-Blood and thinking he's going to die.
It's not just that he's part of the stealth mission to sabotage the Romans. It's that he's part of the stealth mission to sabotage the Romans AND he's head counselor of Apollo.
Two years earlier head counselor Lee died in the Battle of the Labyrinth.
One year after that head counselor Michael dies in the Battle of Manhattan.
Will is the third head counselor in three years, and he can't shake the feeling that maybe the Apollo cabin is cursed. War comes straight to Camp Half-Blood - first time since the Labyrinth, to the borders that were supposed to be impregnable - and he thinks he's definitely going to die.
He volunteers for the mission not just because he needs some fresh air after helping Mellie deliver Chuck, but because he figures if he's going to die anyway, he might as well face it head-on, get it over with quickly instead of spending the whole day in an agony of suspense.
So he goes along with Cecil and Lou Ellen, unsure if he's actually drawing strength from the bright sunshine or just thinking he is, breathing deeply, trying to remember every step, every movement, listening to his own heart beat, glad that at least he was able to see little Chuck into the world, new life before his own death, and if the way things are going are anything like the battle in Manhattan last year was quite a few other deaths as well. He turns back and stares at camp so long that Cecil has to remind him to hurry up. He wishes he'd left a message for Austin and Kayla, and hopes whichever one of them is the next head counselor has an easier adjustment than he did and has better luck than him.
And then the next morning finds him, to his own surprise, alive and well. Exhausted, run ragged from tending to the injured all day and night, maybe injured - but alive.
He's survived the battle. He's now been head counselor for longer than Michael was. If the Apollo cabin was cursed it's been broken. He almost feels like he's had a new lease on life.
Anyway. This was my random idea bouncing around in my head. (feel free to use it for whatever you want if you so desire)
Oh, and then a year later in tower of nero he starts thinking the same thing -
HELLO?????
God, when I was writing that cabin 7 fic, I didn't think about the fact that Will would be worried about his death beyond the battle of Manhattan (which is maybe silly of me considering the entire back half of that fic is about Will surviving when Lee and Michael didn't) but you are SO right. The possibility that he would follow in their footsteps and die young too would loom over him until he ages out of camp. Every big battle that happens, the question must be on his mind. Is this the one that takes me?
I don't know that Will would necessarily be convinced he was definitely going to die, but the thought that it could happen must have crossed his mind. Michael died a year after Lee, and the Battle of Gaia happened a year after that. The pattern paints an ugly picture, and it certainly doesn't bode well for him. Dead man walking.
(Also the idea he brought a life into the world the same night he thought he might die.............. I love a circle of life and death theme, it's gotta be said.)
Characters ageing past their dead siblings is something I think about a lot too. Nico is canonically older than Bianca was when she died. Will's been a counsellor longer than Michael, and depending on your headcanon for Lee, maybe him too. They're getting to live the life their siblings never got because they died so young, and that must be a tough thing to deal with. Survivor's guilt is a bitch 😔
Anyway love this anon thank you for this <3

2022 - Enterprise giant Oracle is facing a fresh privacy class action claim in the U.S.
The suit, which was filed Friday as a 66-page complaint in the Northern District of California, alleges the tech giant’s “worldwide surveillance machine” has amassed detailed dossiers on some five billion people, accusing the company and its adtech and advertising subsidiaries of violating the privacy of the majority of the people on Earth.
The suit has three class representatives: Dr Johnny Ryan, senior fellow of the Irish Council for Civil Liberties (ICCL); Michael Katz-Lacabe, director of research at The Center for Human Rights and Privacy; and Dr Jennifer Golbeck, a professor of computer science at the University of Maryland — who say they are “acting on behalf of worldwide Internet users who have been subject to Oracle’s privacy violations”.
The litigants are represented by the San Francisco-headquartered law firm, Lieff Cabraser, which they note has run significant privacy cases against Big Tech.
The key point here is there is no comprehensive federal privacy law in the U.S. — so the litigation is certainly facing a hostile environment to make a privacy case — hence the complaint references multiple federal, constitutional, tort and state laws, alleging violations of the Federal Electronic Communications Privacy Act, the Constitution of the State of California, the California Invasion of Privacy Act, as well as competition law, and the common law.
It remains to be seen whether this “patchwork” approach to a tricky legal environment will prevail — for an expert snap analysis of the complaint and some key challenges this whole thread is highly recommended. But the substance of the complaint hinges on allegations that Oracle collects vast amounts of data from unwitting Internet users, i.e. without their consent, and uses this surveillance intelligence to profile individuals, further enriching profiles via its data marketplace and threatening people’s privacy on a vast scale — including, per the allegations, by the use of proxies for sensitive data to circumvent privacy controls.
Commenting on the suit in a statement, Ryan said: “Oracle has violated the privacy of billions of people across the globe. This is a Fortune 500 company on a dangerous mission to track where every person in the world goes, and what they do. We are taking this action to stop Oracle’s surveillance machine.”
A spokesman for Oracle declined to comment on the litigation.
A couple of years ago the firm was facing class action suits, along with Salesforce, via a legal challenge to its tracking in Europe — which intended to focus on the legality of their consent to track web users, citing the region’s (contrastingly) comprehensive data protection/privacy laws.
However the European legal challenges, which were filed in the Netherlands and the U.K., have faced tough going — with a Dutch court ruling the suit inadmissible last year, because (per reports) it judged that the not-for-profit pursing the class action had failed to demonstrate it represented the alleged injured parties and so did not have legal standing. (Although earlier this year the organization behind the suit, the Privacy Collective, said it would appeal.)
The U.K. branch of the legal action, meanwhile, was stayed pending the outcome of an earlier class-action style privacy suit against Google — but last year the U.K. Supreme Court sided with the tech giant, blocking that representative action and dealing a blow to the prospects of other similar suits.
In the Lloyd v Google case, the court found that damage/loss must be suffered in order to claim compensation — and therefore that the need to prove damage/loss on an individual basis cannot be skipped — derailing the litigation’s push for a uniform “loss of control” of personal data for each member of the claimed representative class to stand in its stead.
The ruling was considered a hammer blow to opt-out class actions for privacy claims at the time — clearly throwing another spanner in the works of the Oracle-Salesforce class action’s ability to proceed in the U.K.
The challenges of litigating privacy class actions in Europe likely explain the push by digital rights experts to test similar claims in the U.S.

between all the gasping, i finally breathe (ao3) - bellawritess michael/luke T, 8k
Summary: Sick probably more accurately describes how Luke is going to feel after four in the morning at the beach in the middle of September. If it were anyone else, that would deter him. In fact, that would be his excuse. Love to go, but I'm afraid I'll catch cold.
But it's not anyone else. It's Michael. And the thing with Michael that Luke learned a long time ago is that you have to carve out moments with him and clench them in your fist or you'll find yourself fading from his life.
'cause im always tugging at your sleeve (ao3) - inanearlieround michael/luke G, 2k
Summary: Michael tries not to overthink.
domestic bliss (ao3) - sunshineash luke/ashton T, 8k
Summary: 5 times ashton irwin kicks luke hemmings out to sleep and 1 time he lets him stay
Fell In Love With a Boy at the Rock Show (ao3) - warmstableplace michael/calum, michael/ofc, luke/ashton M, 4k
Summary: Michael impulsively buys tickets to an emo festival in Las Vegas to meet up with a girl he's been talking to on Discord, but has no idea how he's gonna get there. Luckily, Calum has a car...
he was sunshine (i was midnight rain) - @sup3rbloom (haveufoundwhaturlookingfor) luke/ashton, michael/calum T, 5k

i'm better than him (just saying) - @sup3rbloom (haveufoundwhaturlookingfor) michael/luke T, 3k
Summary: Luke's boyfriend is a total loser, and all of his friends keep telling him. Especially Michael, who's been in love with Luke for as long as he can remember. Michael's always there for Luke whenever his boyfriend treats him like garbage. But after a disastrous date, everything goes downhill, and Luke realizes that maybe Michael has been right this whole time.
in pieces (ao3) - galacticsugar luke/calum T, 4k
Summary: He needs to leave. Go somewhere, change the scenery. He doesn’t want to, because he’s a goddamn mess who shouldn’t be let loose in public. If anyone saw him in this state he’d dissolve, but he can’t stomach even trying to pretend he feels normal right now either. Paste on a pleasant smile and make polite small talk? He’d rather peel his fingernails off one at a time.
laser tag (ao3) - inanearlieround michael/luke N/R, 1k
Summary: Luke takes Michael somewhere else after an interview trying to figure out how to break through to him.
making the most of the night (ao3) - galacticsugar luke/calum E, 28k
Summary: “Cal! Have you met Luke?” Ashton has one arm around a tall blonde guy wearing a sheepish smile and a barely buttoned shirt, and he wraps his other around Calum, pulling him in close. “You should talk. You’ve got a lot in common. Shit exes, for example.”
Calum looks over this Luke person he apparently has a lot in common with, and he does seem a little familiar. Maybe Calum has met him before. But that doesn’t seem right either, because he thinks he’d remember meeting someone so…bright. Noticeable. Luke doesn’t exactly blend into a crowd. Calum’s not certain, though — he could’ve met Luke while he was super drunk or super tired or super distracted by his ex-boyfriend.
“Sure, yeah,” Calum agrees, dodging the question. “Luke, would you like to spend a fun evening talking about our shit exes and feeling sad about it?”
never one for winter (ao3) - galacticsugar luke/calum M, 20k
Summary: “Hey Cal, it’s Luke. Uh, so I’m actually coming home for Christmas. Kind of a last minute thing. I’m literally on a plane, about to take off but, um — are you gonna be around tonight? I thought maybe I could stop by. Let me know, and I’ll figure it out when I land.”
As soon as the plane lands, Luke flips off airplane mode and waits, shaking from the suspense, the stress, the everything that has been his life over the past few hours.
There’s a text from Calum.
Calum: i’m around. And i’ve got tequila.
New - @daydadahlias (cornflowerblue (daydadahlias)) luke/ashton E, 10k
Summary: Luke doesn’t remember whose idea it was to chain him to the fucking ceiling but he’s decided he’s going to get their name and send them a goddamn fruit basket, because he has never seen Ashton look at him like this before, and he has that crew member to thank.
planted in my mind (ao3) - burstintocolor (anchormate) michael/luke T, 1k
Summary: Michael has had a stressful day of work. Luke wants to help.
or, boys are dumb and don't realise theyre already in love

the skies falling down (end of the world) @sup3rbloom (haveufoundwhaturlookingfor) luke/ashton, michael/calum T, 4k
Summary: Luke is severely hurt, and Ashton is desperate to find something to heal his best friend. He’s on the brink of giving up when he meets Michael and Calum, who happen to be from a community that has medical supplies.
ups and downs @sup3rbloom (haveufoundwhaturlookingfor) ot4 T, 8k
Summary: Ashton finds out he's pregnant in the middle of 5 Seconds Of Summer's North America tour. Telling his three boyfriends the news doesn't go as smoothly as he hoped it would.
what a ghostly scene @sup3rbloom (haveufoundwhaturlookingfor) michael/calum, luke/ashton T, 4k
Summary: Michael, Luke and Ashton are paranormal investigators. They hunt ghosts for a living. There’s a house Michael has wanted to investigate ever since he was a little boy. Finally, the owner gives them permission to investigate it. Unfortunately, not everything goes to plan.

I’ve made a deep analyse of Trevor’s character and how Steven Ogg portrays him.
The first thing we are introduced to when it comes to his demeanour is how feral he is, mentally and physically in appearance. The first mission he is in, we are able to see not even his most extreme behaviour. Rockstar has made a great job at presenting Trevor slowly throughout the gameplay, we get to know him more through dialogue and his impact on the story mode. We are introduced to a dirty looking drug addict who takes pleasure in killing, but we are slowly introduced to a weak man who hides under the influence of violence and drugs to fill the void of his self-hatred and misery.
Another thing I’ve noticed about him throughout the story mode, he is extremely loyal. Unlike Michael who’d refer Trevor as an ‘old friend’, we can see from Trevor’s side that he refers Michael as his ‘best friend’. I don’t know about you, but I really pity him at this stage. He’s really in favour of Michael and despite how fast and willing he is to kill people, he refrains himself by doing any physical harm to Michael, or any of his friends, no matter how much they can screw him up. Trevor is definitely undermined by Michael, almost mocked. It reminds me of high school friend groups where you have the clear leader (Michael) and the person who just follows you around and is the source of entertainment, but humiliatingly (Trevor).
This could link to how he was treated in the past. His mother was clearly abusive, mentally, towards him, and we can see the effects it has on the character more into the gameplay. Trevor is prone to gaining a strong attachment to certain people and things, and we know he has a deep fear of losing it. He even states it himself during a mission with Michael. I don’t know at the top of my head but it goes along the lines of: Michael: “What’s wrong with you?” Trevor: “Oh, some abandonment issues.” If you’d link this to the point I made before about his loyalty, he is too blinded by Michael’s lack of interest in him personally to walk away. Trevor is attached to Michael, and is obviously scared of losing him again after his ‘death’.
Although his mother was abusive, we can see his take on older women and his major interest in them. Patricia really pulled a great impression on him, like a motherly figure, that he confuses that with romantic love. Trevor craves female presence as it fills the void of having such an absent and broken mother. He is deeply offended if anyone mentions his mother, even if it’s a small detail in the subject. He is still wounded by his past and deals with it through older validation, drugs, and obvious anger issues.
If we look at how his father affected him emotionally, we can view this by how he perceives men. Any man in GTA, we can see Trevor treat them rather hideously. That could be dehumanisation, physical abuse, or mental abuse. Floyd is the best to explain this. While Floyd is rather sensitive and weak, Trevor picks on him constantly and he dominates other men to fill the void of his father who physically dominated and abused him. His unhealthy mechanisms grows in his criminality and he turns into a heavy drug user, serial killer, and thief.
Though Trevor mentioned he dropped out of school in his adolescence, he has advanced vocabulary and even stated by Wade that he is an expert in numbers. Although Trevor isn’t exactly the sharpest tool in the shed, he is intelligent enough to gather some advanced vocabulary that you couldn’t imagine an unstable man like him to think or produce such words. His heists all seem to be successful despite lack of planning and detail, and he incredibly observant. The first time he met Davey personally, he recognised him, even though Trevor never actually saw him before. His instinct told him that he met Davey before, being of course correct as Dave was the sniper who shot Brad, mistakenly, in the prologue. It’s clearly impossible for him to realise completely, but the intelligence he has to simply trust his instinct is impressive and mind blowing.
His desire and lust of sex and the need of sexual tension would suggest how unloved he was during his early life. It is common for people who had lack of motherly attention would grow in need of sexual pleasure, and would often find it in women, presumably older women. Trevor mentioned how he masturbates to relief his emotions, implying how isolated he is to be finding the need of touch every day. During moments where you can play Trevor and pick up prostitutes, when focussing on the activity, he’d end up moaning out love confessions and would sometimes go: “Oh, mother!”
I think Steven had done a fantastic job in portraying Trevor due to his detail in voice, gestures, and manic looks. Steven can produce such a strong tone of voice when yelling, making Trevor intimidating and mental. His effort in giving Trevor the signature gesture of his hands when explaining, presenting how unstable and feral he is, even when he’s talking normally. No one else could produce such a character and I’m thankful Steven created such a unique person.
In conclusion, he is literally a sad old man.

It's still hard to believe but also believable and expected that he is the holder of the first ever AMA Artist of the Century award. This man was so big, so influential, so amazing, so talented, broke so many records, won so many awards, being on par if not bigger than Malcolm X, Martin Luther King, Muhammad Ali, this man changed the entire world and how it does things in so many ways, tore apart what was left of racism and xenophobia from the inside of show business and entertainment as a whole when he was alive. The American Music Awards literally had to create a new award so huge in order for them to be able to hold a candle to him, the same goes for Guinness World Records creating a record that could very well be near impossible to break, giving him the record of the Most Successful Entertainer of All Time along with 38 other records that he currently holds. He will always live in our hearts and I will always try and continue his mission to spread love, peace, and happiness to everything in this world, and he is finally being given the respect he deserves for the disgusting Leaving Neverland false documentary has been removed completely from HBOMax and will no longer be available to view, Michael Jackson forever... we love you.

It's (belated) Six Sentence Sunday and I have stuff written!!! Mainly snippets as I'm taking a mutuals advice to have a snippets folder - it gets scenes out of my head and prevents my WIP list growing even further and this week I've been writing ones for Thunderbirds and Agent Carter. Firstly from my Thunderbirds one, this scene taking place a few months before International Rescue start business, and five months after Gordon's hydrofoil accident - and Sheridan and Tia have made an impromptu trip to the Island.
"Heya, John."
"Sheridan." His long arms hugged her in return. "Not that I'm not glad to see you, but what are you doing here?"
"You did say I could come anytime," she reminded him, "and I finally managed to get some leave so Tia and I decided to pay a visit."
"Tia's here too?" Scott asked in surprise. "I thought she didn't like flying."
"She doesn't, but...well, I know we visited the hospital sometimes but it's been a while and we've both been worried, so these are extenuating circumstances." Her eyes flicked to John. "How is he, by the way?"
"He's getting there - it's not one of his better days, but he'll be mighty glad to see you two."
Next one is from my Agent Carter snippet - I've been writing the opening scene from Michael's POV, as he goes to send the letters to Kathy in an attempt to stop his employers from doing something terrible.
None of this was supposed to happen. When he’d first agreed to join them he’d truly believed it was necessary, that it was for the greater good, that it was a dangerous set of missions but key to winning the war. One of many such plans, and Michael had gone along with it – the Nazis would stop at nothing, so neither could they, and though he’d known it would break Peggy’s heart…he’d believed there was no other way, much as he hated the fact that she’d think him dead when their last conversation had gone so poorly.
He'd been a fool. Almost as foolish as when he’d referred to the SOE as a ‘life of adventure’- as though it hadn’t been one of the most dangerous careers in the war, but for this situation he ought to have known better than to think they’d let him go after the war had ended. They’d faked his death convincingly enough – at least, made the circumstances so that even the presumption of being dead would be enough…
Which meant he’d been effectively trapped, stuck in an organisation prepared to do anything to achieve their goals…no matter how warped those goals got.
Needless to say he's really backed into a corner here.
