One Year Bible diary entry

Godvoice told me to snap my bracelet when I thought a cussword or evil thought and then to do the right number of acts of kindness to fight the evil in my brain. The problem is that I am retarded and cannot count. Godvoice told me to keep a tally sheet and that I shall be using them as long as I am in a physical body on earth. The other problem is I have 40 tally marks so far today, and the day is far from finished. Tomorrow, I shall need to do at least 40 acts of kindness. He said to send positive text messages until I run out of contacts. I am supposed to thank people for my favorite thing about them. Then the rest of the tally marks are to be spent on household chores. So far, I sent my godson a Facebook message and cleaned my parents' room. That was doable, but doing 50 or 60 acts of kindness per day is a quixotic impossibility. I'm not Mother Teresa, St. Francis, and Pollyanna mixed into one soul like the BFG creating dreams by mixing them up. I'm a nasty parcel of flesh who can't, CAN'T stop thinking offensive words. My sorry tail actually lied like an unrepentant puppet and said I donated clothing to charity all the time. I'm about as pathetic as the emperor who had none. That gratuitous, mendacious turd got a tally mark. I don't like being the good Lord's mark. Liars go to hell, but He wants to kill my lies with the kindness brigade. In other news, I have not prayed any punishments or curses on anyone without automatically taking it back and asking God to bless this imaginary enemy who changed the password to a Yahoo email account. I miss cursing people in front of the cross. It was the only time my unrighteous wrath felt good.

I played for both teams spiritually all while thinking I was loyal to Jesus. This schizo nutjob talked to voices in her head all day about how to mess with other voices in my head. Dude, if you are loyal to Jesus you don't help Satanist whackjobs mess with His people even if they are voices in your head. It said this in 2 Chronicles, This is what God says: Why do you disobey the Lord's commands and keep yourselves from prospering? You have abandoned the Lord, and now He has abandoned you.

Related verses are My God, My God, why have You abandoned Me? Jesus was loyal to His Father and to His friends and was abandoned for all of our disloyalty. Also, Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

God gave me two commands from the reading in Romans that I do not want to follow but that are not optional according to Him. I'm not allowed to curse people anymore, not even asking Jesus to do it kneeling in front of the cross. I have to ask God to bless everybody I consider an enemy according to Romans 12:14. Godvoice and I had a long conversation about Him striking King Uzziah with leprosy. He said He made the right call and that King Uzziah was in heaven with Him and also thought He made the right call. Godvoice asked me if I would ever touch the bread and the wine behind the altar during communion without permission to do so. I said that would be against the rules and disrespectful because it's the body and blood of Jesus and is very holy; I then argued that King Uzziah didn't do this; he burned incense; a 12 year old acolyte in the Episcopal Church could do that. Why would pride and a ceremonial infraction cause him to be struck with leprosy to live and die alone, cut off from his community? Godvoice said he was a head of state, and heads of state are held to higher standards of humility. He said that contrary to popular opinion, our presidents are relatively humble, acknowledge separation of church and state, and know that they are not leaders in the church.

In 2 Chronicles there was a precursor to the Good Samaritan story. Azariah, Jehizkiah, Berekiah, and Amasa confronted some soldiers about the treatment of prisoners of war. They clothed the naked ones, gave them sandals, food, and drink, and treated their wounds with olive oil. They were enemies, brothers, because they were all Jews, and neighbors.

"I think it's funny to put up pictures of my retarded family," Abigail Kipp said. "I hate going to family reunions. My family goes to reunions to get dates." Abigail Kipp is royalty in my brain. IN MY IMAGINATION, she said "-------------- you, dude," to this insult. Today's reading from 2 Chronicles confirms: Royalty and incest go together. The family tree is too difficult for this dumbass to examine. Do they have the same parent, the same grandparents? The kings all have multiple wives and concubines. I don't understand how the musician and the wise guy had so many without it being considered adultery. The only thoughts I had about this book were blasphemous, brain vomit incest. The Prayer of Jabez guy actually had some profound things to say. The main thing I think God is trying to convey through this boring book of the Bible is that I have a severe paucity of imagination, love, and intelligence. If that were not the case, I would be effectively loving God with 1 & 2 Chronicles instead of habitually not reading it and making bad incest jokes . Let's move to be a real conversation I had with my inner Godvoice while reading a very good letter.

The first verse my Strong's gives about salvation is the one in which Abraham saves his sorry nephesh by lying and saying that his wife is not his wife but his sister. Having a hot wife is apparently deadly in certain contexts (Genesis 12:12).

The second "save" verse also has absolutely nothing to do with soteriology. Abraham refuses the plunder because he had too much pride and honor to get rich from looting people, so he gave it to some no-name peasants (Genesis 14:24).

Joseph's boss entrusted everything to Joseph and only thought or gave his energy to eating. His God was his belly, and his glory was his shame. Maybe it was his fault his wife wanted to shtup the competent servant (Genesis 39:6, Philippians?). Godvoice said that all of these verses have things to say about soteriology. I am not enough of a theologian to see the connection between these verses and the salvation of our souls.

Joseph said that God sent him ahead to ensure posterity and to "preserve" the "great band of survivors." Jews rule. "Only the strong survive," according to Mrs. Morgan. Jews and Jewesses come from the best dozen. Hittites are not survivors. Jews are.

Joseph told his brothers that capturing him in a trap and selling him as a slave had excellent results and saved countless lives. I wish I could see him and hear his voice because I don't have a clue it says in previous verses dumbass. He was crying. He wept. If selling me into slavery had positive, lifesaving results, I might be twisted and laugh. The Jews of yore were better than me. They saw their sin. They saw God's goodness. Love suffers. St. Paul is talking to Jews and Gentiles in the Roman church.

What is this passage saying to me?

I need to get over myself and stop thinking about good deeds but instead think about God's forgiveness and experience the joy that comes from God forgiving me and me forgiving people.

What direction is it giving me? What do I need to change?

1 Chronicles 19:1-21:30

I don't like today's reading from 1 Chronicles. It said that Satan made King David take a census. It said in 2 Samuel that God did. Regardless of which direction the instruction came from, apparently, counting people or counting the fighting men was a major cosmic no-no; and the entire nation was cursed by an angel and a plague killing 70,000 people.

I HATED Today's reading.

I thought that either your inner voice issuing commands was you yourself, God, or Satan; and that only idiotic schizo as like me couldn't tell their voices apart. I thought God and Satan were always adversaries. But King David was told by both God and Satan to take a census and then was punished for following their bad advice. King David was "a man after God's own heart." King David thought that sending a plague was merciful. King David passed that multiple choice test with flying colors. He picked the right punishment.

But maybe he should have said, "Look Dude, You and Satan BOTH made me count the men who could fight. I'm commander and chief of the Israelite army. MAYBE don't punish the nation for me being obedient and doing my j-o-b. Furthermore, haShem, You should not collaborate with the counsel for the prosecution whom You kicked out of heaven who c as caused original sin."

Look my Godvoice told me some cool stuff about this story in 2 Samuel. I thought it was a cool story after He opened that scripture up. But I hate the fact that He and Satan apparently collaborated and that the voice telling King David to take a census was probably God, Satan, and his own self all at the same time. That is not how things are supposed to work. That is not how the nitty gritty is supposed to go down.

Jesus, You told me the truth about the 2 Samuel version. What's the truth about the version in Chronicles?

I dissed Aquinas's "immovable Mover" defense of the good Lord's existence even though I had no idea what I was talking about and I still don't.

I said, "God isn't paralyzed. He moves! Pericoresus! The Trinity has been dancing together for all eternity!"

My CJ hallucinations said that it was a metaphor. God is stable. His character is stable, unchanging, and constant; but He causes stuff to happen.

In Chronicles, King David wanted to build God a beautiful permanent home. Reading between the lines, he was embarrassed that he lived in a beautiful palace but his Lord loved in a tent. God saw it differently. He was unashamed of His gypsy lifestyle travelling in a beautiful Tabernacle with His people.

He may have been a wanderer, but His character was constant. "His faithful love endures forever." He promised King David that a descendant of his would have an everlasting kingship. Millennia later, this was realized in Jesus Who said as also a wanderer. Jesusvoice said that I do not move enough or change enough.

The immovable Mover gave King David one military victory after another. He determined the course of world events. He determines our eternal destiny.

St. Paul says that if we seek glory, honor, and immortality, then we'll get eternal life. If we do good deeds, we shall get eternal life ( Romans 2:7). I don't seek what I am supposed to. I'm supposed to seek His kingdom. I'm supposed to praise a God of frabjous beauty. I'm supposed to seek integrity and the good reputation that comes from an honorable, virtuous life. I'm supposed to persevere in doing good deeds.

Instead, I "live for myself and refuse to obey the truth" (Romans 2:8).

Deuteronomy says we have to choose light or darkness, good or evil, blessings or curses. Romans says to do good deeds and to seek glory, honor, and immortality. It seems almost grandiose or prideful to seek after these things. Sara Teasdale sought after these things by writing beautiful poetry. She rejected God. My Godvoice said she was in hell.

Everyone who does good deeds will receive glory, honor, and peace (Romans 2:10). Apparently, we seek these things by doing good deeds.

My Bubbles hallucinations said never to write about God. She said to accept failure, accept your crazy check, and do good things with it. Don't write. Give up on your dreams. Your writing has wrecked my faith.

She encouraged me to be generous and do good. She also told me to disobey God and His directional peace.

Here's the thing: I'm a bratty disobedient child, but writing is something I want to do. You don't disobey a loving parent who tells you to eat an ice cream cone.

But Jesus didn't say to eat an ice cream cone; He said to take up your cross and follow Him. What if the voice is right? What if God doesn't give us peace and instruct us to do what we want to do?

I've stolen. I've committed adultery. St. Paul says that sinful, hypocritical idiots like me should not teach others. We should teach ourselves.

But guess what? If I don't read the Bible and religious books and write about them, I am not teaching myself; I am being a bad teacher and a bad student.

I'm pretty helpless. If I don't have an accurate Godvoice tell me exactly how to do something, chances are I will jack it up. Psalm 10:17 says "Lord, You know the hopes of the helpless. Surely You will hear their cries and comfort them." He doesn't promise that our hopes will be realized. He doesn't promise that our dreams will come true. He promises something better: comfort.

I lived in a studio. The mattress was covered with uncomfortable plastic and bedbugs. There was no comfortable furniture.

Now I have a comfortable bed, and I live with comfortable couches. I have comfortable clothes and pajamas.

My hopes have not been realized, but I have physical comfort.

But that's not the the type of comfort God promises helpless people. God knows my hopes. He will give me the emotional and spiritual equivalent of sinking into a soft sofa or getting into a made bed with a quilt, a comforter, and soft sheets. His knowing our hopes and giving our souls comfort are connected. He doesn't tell us to bury our hopes like alleluias in Lent. I don't know what He wants me to do with mine.
