Have you watched the musical "Spiderman: Turn of the dark"?, what is your opinion? (I love musicals, but haven't watched this one, first I want to know if it is good).

Also I would have expected that the one who would get a theatrical musical, would be DP. I bet that if the musical exist in the universe of the boys, Wade would be a little jealous. 🤭🤭

i actually haven't seen this one - i've listened to the entire soundtrack and read synopsises, and know all the lore behind it and it's a point of obsession for me but - all the cams of it are so poor quality that it's completely unwatchable for me. i get too frustrated that i have to just stop watching.

i always ask people the question, you know, if you could time travel to any moment in time, what would it be - and when they turn that question back at me, my answer, at the ready, is that i'd go see spider-man: turn off the dark, on broadway. i'd give anything to see it, honestly. i want one of the spider-man stunt-men to fall on me, so, so bad.

i have read the script, for - you know, some version of it. there was more than one version. i read one of them. and i have to say, i really like it. i think peter's actually really, really hilarious, in his socially inept sort of way. it's very fun. also bonus points for having it canon that flash would fuck a spider, even before spider-man was a thing.

hilarious. also! pretty obvious from the soundtrack but gg is immensely queer coded and honestly it reads as though he just wants to share a condo and adopt a dog with spider-man. you're a queer in tights? IM a queer in tights. lets be queers in tights together. it's so funny how he goes about trying to be peter's bff. most hilarious interaction between a villain and hero ever 10/10

it is very telling that average genshin players cannot comprehend seeing an actual mature, qualified leader that is actually good at taking her job seriously after meeting archons who either is still childish, clowning whimsically, or straight up incompetent.

#it's kinda funny that the best God in terms of actually fulfilling their duties to the T is the mortal one #there's absolutely nothing wrong with the other archons their flaws make their characters extremely compelling #but it's kind of insane to call mavuika bland for being good at her job as if she's still not inherently flawed with the martyrdom complex #people keep pointing out to her: aren't you tired? don't you have dreams of your own? isn't your want important too?#she's such a fascinating character yknow #mavuika #that is #she cares so deeply about the humans in natlan and she has abundant love for them and actively doing things to give natlan a better future #and yet she could NOT remotely take her own advice and wisdom for herself #you kinda have to remember not all archons are here because they want to be archon #nahida did not ask to be an archon neither did ei #and don't even get me started on furina #zhongli and venti take archonhood like parenting as expected from them but they're so ancient that they're entering their silly granpa era #focalors is the first instance we see of 'new' god doing something... godly #she is forever the punkest archon for what she did but her plan still equired a great suffering nonetheless #after all when you want to save your nation by going AGAINST the system you cannot do it without sacrificing a soul or two #which leads me to why people think it's irrational to kill off capitano when what he's doing is also punk #focalors dared celestia by returning the hydro authority to the dragon they stole it from and destroyed hydro throne #forever changing the institution that is The Seven #capitano dared ronova by giving his immortality to lord of the night and by that rewriting ronova's curse on him #he changed the rules of the ley lines forever #anyway.#narratively speaking capitano is a great foil for mavuika and I'm just glad it's him we met in natlan #hyv didn't make the short animated for mavuika just for you to call her bland

Kalina is the most interesting character to me because of all she has going on…

she is Cassandra’s familiar, she is simultaneously a pet and a friend and a servant and a family to a goddexx that is simultaneously her owner and friend and creator and parent and her god and reason to be—Kalina’s relationship to Cassandra is hard to put a name or label on (since what does being a familiar even mean?) but the bottomline is that this cat loves her deity enough to put everything and everyone on the line for her…

And adding in that she is a child of divorce. So to speak. I am extremely normal and haven’t been driven mad by the detail that baby itty bitty kitty Kalina was at Cassandra’s wedding to Ankarna and is remembered to have been toddling after her as she walked down the aisle…

So.

A certain cat who we will not name, Moonshine, caused me to spill soda all over my laptop's keyboard. My keys are now not working and I've been instructed to dry out and not touch my laptop for a few days. It's possible there was damage to the motherboard as well, but I'm not sure yet. It was working for a while before I turned it off officially.

This unfortunately means we may have to skip an update on Saturday if my computer ends up too fucked to function. I'm going to do my best to answer asks in the meantime and keep y'all updated, but if worst comes to worst, I'll have to acquire a whole new computer and waste time setting that up and reacquiring all my Google docs with the books and plannings on them.

Currently, I'm stuck on my phone. Not ideal, but I will be able to communicate as needed. If fanart or tagged posts or other attempts to get my attentiom via mention get ignored, that is not on purpose. My phone is quite old and doesn't take kindly to the Tumblr app.

Anyway, apologies for the unexpected hiatus. We should only miss a week while this gets sorted out. Thank you in advance for your patience!

Every day I am haunted by the fact JJK could be amazing but it will be just idk Bleach or something

#I've seen a lot of people complaining about the fact that it's impossible to fit the ending of every unfinished arc #in the five chapters that remain for the manga to end for good #And it all just... legitimises my fear and apprehension haha #And it's a pity! It's a pity! The dynamics were so good! And yet nothing! Sukuna was so good! And yet nothing!#It was so nice how he seemed to play with the idea of transcending human categories and values but even the values of curses so to speak #Well beyond everything. Well beyond positive/creative nihilism even! He was not like Mahito #I wonder if Mahito is more a negative nihilism with a funny edge or a positive nihilism. For now it seems positive #with how he seems to have said something like 'nothing matters so we can do whatever we want and create what matters'#But Sukuna transcends all that! It could have been interesting to see how that developed in a way that wasn't just childish edginess #But no. And then there's all the idea of curses and sorcerers not being all that different #and so not really entirely possible to say one side is good and the other bad #There was the idea of the very source of powers with fear and love playing a role here in such a juicy way #And then there's the entire thing happening with Gojo as a concept and the very concepts he plays with which I could eat like an apple #but also I would let those very concepts eat at my heart as a worm inside an apple #Full of holes and rotting inside out and yet delighting at the sweetness #It could all be so good! And yet! Most of the manga is a few sketched dynamics and concepts and a very long fight with Sukuna #promising half finished arcs #WHY it could have been so good. And I don't think criticism is a matter of 'fans being spoiled! Go write your story!' or something #It's not a matter of things not going as fans would want them to be. It's a matter of not writing well #or cohesively things established by the author themselves. And I think that's a fair criticism #If we are to take manga as an art‚ which I wholeheartedly support‚#then we can subject mangas to artistic or literary or whatever you want to call it analysis. There are works that are better constructed #than others‚ and there are works that have good ideas but poor execution. And it's always a pity #In the case of JJK it's truly breaking my heart and the comments I see around about these five last chapters are not helping xD #God it could be so good. So good. And I'm not talking about in specific to me‚ which yes that too given the topics‚#but just so good in general. It could be so good. It could have been so good #And yet it's starting to look more and more like any other shonen. It truly breaks my heart haha #I talk too much #Jujutsu Kaisen #I used Bleach because I think that's one of the mangas that has been the most a let down to the friends I have who like shonen
