15. How do they speak? Is what they say usually thought of on the spot, or do they rehearse it in their mind first? (Tjong)

His verbiage tend to be... contrived, which could make what he's saying seem overly planned, but it's actually the opposite. It just so happens that his thoughts are structured like that. If he takes more time to think about what he's saying, his speech will generally become more concise.

E) Are they someone you would get along with? Would they get along with you? (Tjong)

It pains me a little to say no, but... 😓His egotism and nonexistent self-awareness would drive me crazy. Maybe I'd get on with him better after an arc or two of character development, though. There's certainly some entertainment value in being around him. I don't think he'd dislike me in particular, but he'd probably think I'm, like, an uncouth scoundrel. Granted, that was his first impression of more than one person he gets close to later.

39. How easy is it for them to ignore flaws in other people? (Meridian)

Very easy, when he wants to. There are traits they find annoying and others they truly despise, of course, but it's very rare for them to call it out. He tends to think that others' flaws are their own problems. It's not his business, unless someone decides to make it his business.

Meridian can't help but be a bit self-centered in their judgement of people - if someone displays selflessness towards them, they can brush aside behavior up to and including being on the international most wanted list.

40. How sensitive are they to their own flaws? (Meridian)

Too sensitive. They're the kind of person who is insecure to the point where it might seem, like, cringe and annoying to the people around them. Magic bullshit notwithstanding, Meridian considers himself a person of very little value.

H) What trait do you admire most? (Meridian)

I'm not exactly sure how to phrase this but like... having the ability to acquire an unimaginable amount of power and not only saying "no, I don't think it's right for anyone to have this," but actively stopping it from going to anyone else. Especially when they already know what (a fraction of) that power is and only double down on their stance as a result.

Several assumptions based on the game content, which are related to the storyline:

Menticide Mushrooms and birch trees are actually not the creation of Heket. Instead, they are something that derrive from the Great Ones. Heket was asked to suppress such presence before meeting her demise. The tattoo-like red eyes we see on her eldrich form are a kind of "fungus infection". If you could accept it as a setting, then proceed. If you need further evidence, please click on this article.

The reason why the Bishops cannot heal their wounds is that Narinder, the God of Death, killed these parts of them with his godpower. Then Chemach came in and snared these organs and turned them into relics. And instead of the Bishops telling the lamb to "go fetch my organs", the lamb actually had to do Chemach's evil biddings to get them back. This will be explained in part 2(or3).

Leshy was not blind at the first strike. With everyting being in a blurr and mess, only two of his eyes were torn from the socket. (This is linked to the number of eyes in Chemach's relic) Then his vision slowly deteriorates, because there's a kind of disease called "sympathetic ophthalmia"(SO). SO happens when one eyeball of a person is injured, and the good eye would be attacked by our immune system. Eventually, rendering the person blind. This is what happened to Leshy.

Len said Violet and him are holding up their respective Realms until their rightfull rulers (Rae and Athena) can take their place. Can the Nether hold up without Len?

sooo real like EVERY jock I met in college killed and ate his mom and basically like 90% of them were stuck in a timeloop bc they failed over and over again to achieve real love and to kill god. accidentally exploding your own house once or twice with your magic godpowers was commonplace, like it was happening ALL THE TIME in the dorms, especially during finals week. I even knew a guy who slept in an iron maiden

oop this got long by accident....

devin is an orphan who was raised in tachni's foster system!

said foster system & orphanages are all run through the light temples, which are the government. which tbh is.... not as bad as having your foster care privatized!

there are Major Issues with it that reflect the Major Issues with tachni's government in general, but those aren't Super relevant to devin's childhood.

what IS relevant to devin is that light magic makes earth magicians sick. so living in a light temple (typically built on a place where light magic pools) is..... not great.

it's not invariably fatal!! but physically it does kind of feel like. having radiation poisoning.

devin miserably skated by under the radar as a seemingly-normal kid with a touch of earth magic.... until the prior earth god, moira, killed herself. and her godpowers passed to devin.

devin promptly (and accidentally) ripped through a bunch of the light temple campus and got in Enormous trouble. and then was sent to live in the centerspire with nova, which is the Mooost concentrated place of light magic in the city. possibly on the whole planet!

she then became suicide attempts georg and had a bunch of autonomy and medical horrors happen. the main one still affecting her in the years-later canon is legal designation as an "invalid," aka a person who's been placed under legal guardianship and has literally no right to consent to anything, ever.

nova gets to be devin's keeper. [weakly] yaaay

that's about it for childhood + adolescence.

although it IS worth noting that her first priority when negotiating with nova for one (1) singular earth temple was, like. she was like okay. respectfully. i'm taking every orphaned earth magician i can find out of the city so they stop being In The Torture Pit. capiche....??

despite earth magicians being a significant minority of the magic users in tachni, this still meant snagging a couple hundred kids. all of varying ages. in the nineteenish-years-later canon, now all these kids are young adults who consider devin a folk hero.

this annoys the absolute Fuck out of devin. bc she's perfect.

Tbh i cant help but see ryuk as the viewer surrogate watching light just fumble so hard and live in such aggressive obliviousness… that boy really acting like hes outwitting L when hes got a weird godpower book that plays like having a magical Ace in poker… L still managed to almost immediately find light and suspect him WHEN LIGHT HAD MAGIC POWERS? Thats so embarrassing for light… ryuk laughing at light during the lind L tailor broadcast is iconic and i felt it in my bones
