“How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone.” (NLT)

Shakespeare has nothing on the Bible for imagery. “You do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.” (ISV) 

Nope, I have no idea what tomorrow may bring. I know that I can never reach tomorrow; it’s like that corner you go around to find someone, only to find that all there is around the corner is yet another corner to go around. Now there’s a tongue twister. All I do know is that God has already been there, in that “space outside of time” or “time outside of space” thing He does. He has been there, seen my tomorrow and He knows where it will go. All I have to do is trust Him as I go round each corner into the unknown, knowing that God has my back and He won’t let me come to harm if I rely on His judgement. Will there be sandbags waiting for me out of sight around some corners? More than likely. There is an enemy who wants very much to make my life worse, at every opportunity. Am I scared? Yes, to be honest; at times I am very scared, until God gently reminds me that HE is in charge - not the enemy. So I will keep walking around unknown corners until I get to my destination, safe in the knowledge that my Heavenly Father has been around every corner and nothing that happens is a surprise to Him. Our lives are as mist and fog, we are only here for a short time and then we disappear. We can't predict or control the future and our lives are temporary and fragile. Some people might find that depressing, but I don’t, because Earth is just my temporary home. I wake up each day, knowing that God has a plan for me and I do my best to follow His plan for that day. When the time comes, He will take me home, but until then I will do my best for Him. 

Friend, “Do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matthew 6:34 (AMP) Do your best today, God has your tomorrows sorted, if you trust Him with them. PRAYER: Oh Lord, thank You for being there for us, as we go around the corners. Thank You for loving us and being our best friend and guide. Help us to trust you, mist and fog as we are, that we are safe with You until one day You bring us Home. May we depend on You for all our plans and tomorrows. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
