There are two lunar calendars in the Jyotish Shastra… One is Purnaant and the other is Amaant…
There's a gap of 15 days between the two, although the order of the months are the same…
For instance, Deepavali's Lakshmi puja is on Purnaant Kartik Amavasya… while the same day is Amaant Ashwin Amavasya in some states…
So, the festival has a different reason in each region, and one common reason at the national level…
Like, the South, where the Lakshmi puja night of diwali is to recall the victory of Krishna over Narakaasur… In the North, it's for the return of Shri Ram to Ayodhya…
The concept of a civilisation made of many cultures dates back to the Treta Yug…
Diwali is celebrated for different days in different places… One day, three days, five days and eleven days… depending on the local history…
Yes… the different calendars, different cultures, but the same festivals, and the same civilisation…
You know, what… I think it's always an advantage when we do something that has no precedence… when there is nothing to refer…
This organisation of a nation is first envisaged in the chronicles of the satyug… each kingdom was called a country… group of countries was a region… the collective of regions was called a nation…

I follow Rishi Varāhamihira's Brihat Samhita… In that, there is no need of dividing time into months and years…
The movements of cosmic objects don't need a calendar to have months and years… Only days are enough… Just count the days from a no-moon or a new-moon… the patterns are measurable and predictable…
Like,
The diwali always happens on the same no-moon night… regardless of which month in which state…
Thus, all the differences are dissolved in the universal medium… 🙂
About the light…
Darkness is not displaced by light… darkness is eliminated by light…

We all live in the twenty first century - the Era of Acceptance( as I call it). We all have accepted that love does'nt confide religions,countries,age,boundries,economical status,languages. So why not add another word to it GENDER. The richness,beauty and depths of love can only be fully experienced in a climate of complete openess, honesty and vulnerability. Even the Hindu Mythology has themes of homosexuality don't we all worship the divine Ardhnareshwar - The combination of Lord Shiva and Godess Parvati. The holy Laxmi Narayan, The great archer Arjuna as Brihannala,Shikhandi , Vishnu as Mohini who later gave birth to Ayyappa. So you can't fight the community by saying that its against our Hindu culture. What really makes, at least to me , this fact even more grave that Homosexuality has had a place in Indian History since ancient India, as far as we know; and yet it is still isn't seen as a full Indian Community nor they are considered a part of it.
We all know that disapproving this community is'nt the right decision so why do we keep doing that? Even now we are hesistated to talk about it in a gathering or in front of family.
💚💙It is common for a man holding guns rather than a man holding hands. 💙💚
So the only queer people are the ones who don't love somebody.It is logicless to disapporve homosexuality it is like disapproving rain!
Talking about equality. Equality is more than passing laws. The struggle is really won in the hearts and minds of people where it really counts.
We all say that they have unique features, they are special in their own way, these all statements indirectly point out that they are different. But the thing is they are not, we treat them as different. Homosexuality is very much normal.
Being L,G,B or T is not a "problem" nor its a choice as such. LGBTQ individuals are merely individuals who have sexual preferences that differ from what would appear to be "normal" due to differing learned behaviours and, you know having a personal perspective and mindset that differs from everyone else's. Saying that it's objectively wrong for people to have sexual preferences that differ from the normal is objectively wrong itself !
Being L,G,B,T or Q is like being left handed some people are most people aren't and nobody really nows why. It's not right or wrong. Its the way things are.
Maybe this blog isn't that relatable to all of the people reading this but awareness about the concept and acceptence is very much necessary.
LGBTQ pride was not a need to celebrate being one of them but right to exist without persecution. So instead of wondering why don't we have a straight pride movement we should be thankful we don't need one.
So if I am even a per cent succesful show rainbows 🌈as a sign of support towards this very colorful community !

All the sacred rivers led by the holy Ganges surrounded Goddess Mahalakshmi so that she could bathe in their water Eight elephants surrounded the Goddess with golden kalashes in their trunks and performed her abhishekam. The enamoured ocean king offered the Goddess a Lotus that would never wilt. The divine architect Vishwakarma appeared within no time anointing the Goddess with gold ornaments. Even as the Devas were watching the events with rapt attention, Goddess Mahalakshmi entered the heart of Lord Sriman Narayanamurthy. The Devas chorused on witnessing the splendid event. Both Lord Narayana and Goddess Lakshmi presented themselves before the Devas in all their glory.
Ganesha is one who clears your way of all obstacles. His other name is Vighnaharta, i.e. the one who takes away all impediments, obstacles, sorrows. So, he is worshipped to ensure the success of any new venture. The intention here, is to pre-emptively remove any difficulties which might come in the path of success. Such is Ganesha's reputation of ensuring a smooth flow of all operations, that he is the first one to be worshipped during yajnas.
