love of my life — geto suguru.
When Geto Suguru walked through the door, you felt your breath catch. He looked both familiar and distant, the lines of weariness etched deeper than you remembered. For a moment, neither of you spoke, the weight of unspoken words hanging heavy in the air. He was still the man you loved and the man that broke your heart—he was everything to you and he was nothing all at once. And you wished, you wished you could decide what he was, truly.

YOU WERE EXCITED FOR YOUR CHARACTER. You couldn’t help but feel excitement flood through you as you read through the words across the pages over and over. You could not stop reading. The writing was really well done for this part of the manga, and so when you heard that this part of the story was finally going to make it into the screen, you were ecstatic.
You hummed as you tried to speak a line, one after another, in different tones and textures. Often, you would bring a pen with you and write off what you think about the scene and how you want to say it. But getting this from your manager just now, you wanted to immediately dive into it and so, you neglected the pen. You’ll make a mental note about it.
The warm aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air as you settled into the languid table, your vibrant eyes skimming over the script. The coffee machine’s sound echoed for a moment. Your drink was done. You put down the script for a moment and walked over to your coffee machine.
You pour some on the mug waiting on the corner. Rushing over to the fridge, you take the carton of milk and pour a little bit of it on your cup. You didn’t put in that much milk. You wanted to be active as you read, the milk would make you sleepy.
Script in hand and coffee secured, you make your way into the living room and carefully rested the mug on the coffee table. You plopped your body onto the couch once again and started to read once more. You were captivated by the story when it first came out in serialization.
But you never expected that it would grow big like this one day and even more so, play one of your favorite characters in the show. You were glad for the opportunity, when it first came around. The yes was immediate and one season and a movie — you were now here, for another season once again.
“Oh, so that scene with Suguru is happening, hm?” You gasp, your eyes scanning through the words. “Yo! Suguru, they’re not going to disappear, don’t hog them, oh my god.”
Your character was the only senior left in Tokyo Jujutsu High by that point and so, they guide them into the ropes of being sorcerers. In modern times, they’re very close, Satoru and your character. You were both left behind by Suguru's character.
But before that, there was Suguru and Suguru was in love with their senpai, but staved off for Satoru. But this scene, in Okinawa, was the moment Suguru couldn’t help it anymore and thought about making a move. You flipped another page.
“Oh baby, you’re gonna be so sad when he leaves.” You muttered under your breath, continuing to read. “Don’t start something you can’t continue!”
“Don’t start something I can’t continue?” You heard the voice echo through the apartment. Your head snaps to the direction of the door and you smile, seeing his purple eyes gleam against yours. “What do you have on hand, darling?”
“Script’s arrived!” You say, waving your own in the air. You pointed to the side. “Your manager left yours here too.”
Geto Suguru blinked, looking at where you were pointing out. “Wow, I didn’t think that it would get here this early.”
“Right?” You say as you look at the scripts again. “They really crunched the writing time this time. And it’s so good!”
“Well, they finally got the approval from Akutami–sensei fast this time.”
“I suppose they probably did.”
He hums as he walks over to you and sits down by you. He turns to you and places a small kiss on your lips. ”Hey, love.”
“Hey, Sugu.” You whisper back. “You’re home late.”
"Sorry I'm late. The recording ran longer than expected."
You smiled up at him, feeling the familiar warmth that always accompanied his presence. "It's okay. How did it go?"
He slid into the seat opposite me, his purple eyes sparkling with excitement. "It went great. I think you're going to love the new song. It's… special."
"You always say that, Sugu." You teased, though you knew this one would be extraordinary, just like all the others.
“Well, it's because you’re the only person I write about.” He grins at you sheepishly. “And I am in love with you.”
“Hm…that’s true.” You giggle.
“Anything interesting in the script?”
“Oh, darling, you have no idea! Let me catch you up!”
The two of you spent the next hour discussing the show, your upcoming scenes, and the plans for your future projects. He told you about the upcoming releases he has for his music, if he was planning to go touring again.
It was moments like these, away from the glitz and glamor, that you think you cherished the most. You were both natural, you were just whole — together. Here, we were just two people in love, supporting each other through the highs and lows of your demanding careers.
Once you finished the other script you were going to receive in the upcoming week for a movie you were going to star in, Suguru sighed and looked at you for a moment. He often does that, trying to memorize the wonder in your face, over and over again.
He’s often away from you because of work too. And so he takes it all in. He burns the memory of you so deeply into him that it's all he remembers for weeks and months until you both meet again.
Suguru took my hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. "You know, I was thinking about our next awards show. I have a feeling you might be giving another speech soon."
You laughed, shaking my head. "And you know I'll be paying homage to you, as always."
He grinned, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "And I'll be in the front row, cheering you on, as always."
Geto Suguru is your lover. But he’s also your co–worker on multiple projects, including Jujutsu Kaisen. The beloved charismatic actor with a voice that could melt hearts, had captured your attention from the moment you first met on set. His passion for acting was matched only by his love for music. He was such an addition to the casting list, because he’d been popular since he was a teenager and he only kept getting popular with time.
Everything about Suguru was electric. From the moment you met him, he exuded a kind of wonder that drew you in effortlessly. As your senpai in the industry, he was a bit older and infinitely wiser, but unlike others you had encountered, he didn't just guide you—he cared for you deeply, nurturing your talents and helping you grow.
He was always there with a kind word and enthusiastic encouragement, urging you to accept scripts that came your way and guiding you on how to navigate the complexities of the industry. His wisdom extended beyond acting techniques; he knew how to choose stories that would resonate with you, stories that would challenge and inspire.
"Remember, it's not just about the lines you deliver," he once said over coffee, his eyes sparkling with sincerity. "It's about the stories you choose to tell. Each role you take on is a part of your journey as an artist."
He taught you the intricacies of set dynamics, the unspoken rules of professionalism, and the importance of forging genuine connections in a competitive world. Suguru didn't just impart knowledge; he shared his passion for storytelling and his belief in your potential.
You were grateful for his presence in your life, not just as a mentor but as a friend who believed in you when doubt crept in. His kindness and enthusiasm were infectious, and every interaction with him left you feeling inspired and capable of reaching new heights.
As you reflected on your journey together, you couldn't help but smile at the thought of how far you had come under his guidance. Suguru was more than a mentor; he was a guiding light in an industry that could sometimes feel overwhelming. And for that, you were endlessly thankful.
The kindness and care Suguru showed extended far beyond the flicker of the camera lens. Alongside Satoru, the three of you often found yourselves on spontaneous trips together. When Utahime and Shoko weren't caught up in their own burgeoning careers, they joined in too. These moments outside of work allowed your bond with Suguru to deepen naturally over time.
As you explored new places together, shared meals, and exchanged stories under starlit skies, a subtle shift occurred. What began as admiration for his talent and guidance blossomed into something more profound. Suguru's laughter became the soundtrack to your happiest memories, his understanding gaze a sanctuary in moments of uncertainty.
One night, sitting by a crackling campfire under a blanket of stars, Suguru reached for your hand. The warmth of his touch spoke volumes, words unspoken yet understood between you.
"I never expected this, you know." he murmured, his voice soft with wonder.
You smiled, squeezing his hand gently. "Me neither." you confessed, feeling the weight of truth and possibility melt into one in the air.
As days turned into weeks and months, the realization grew stronger: you had fallen in love with Suguru. His kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support had woven their way into your heart, creating a tapestry of feelings that surpassed friendship and mentorship.
One evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon painting the sky in hues of gold and crimson, you found yourselves alone by a tranquil lake. The serenity of the moment mirrored the quiet certainty in your hearts.
"I love you, doll." Suguru finally whispered, his eyes holding yours with a depth that took your breath away.
Tears glistened in your eyes as you replied, "I love you too, Suguru." the words a promise of shared dreams and endless possibilities.
In that serene moment, under the canopy of stars and the gentle rustle of leaves, romance bloomed between you—born from shared adventures, mutual respect, and a love that had quietly taken root and blossomed into something beautiful.
After those tranquil moments by the lake, Suguru and you returned to your bustling lives, carrying the newfound certainty of your love like a secret little treasure—one that only you could find. And you were happy with that. You wanted to make the privacy continue and so did he. The world has no claim to your love, until you both were comfortable about sharing it to the world.
In the whirlwind of your demanding careers, where every moment seemed accounted for and every move scrutinized, you discovered a sanctuary in stolen moments together. Your love thrived in the secrecy of stolen kisses exchanged on secluded corners of film sets, where the world couldn't intrude.
Backstage at glittering award shows, amidst the clamor and flashbulbs, your fingers intertwined, a silent declaration of affection amid the spectacle. Despite the challenges that you both faced, from conflicting schedules to the relentless glare of media attention, you both carved out your own private oasis, where your connection deepened, nurtured by these precious, stolen moments.
It was during one of these stolen moments, when the whole Jujutsu Kaisen cast went on a spontaneous ski trip to the mountain, that the world caught a glimpse of our budding romance.
Paparazzi cameras flashed as we laughed and skied down powdery slopes, oblivious to the lenses capturing your every move. One kiss was all it took, and it was because you were desperate, you missed him too much and he obliged you, not caring who sees you both.
The photos splashed across tabloids and social media, sparking speculation and curiosity among fans and industry insiders alike. Your management started trying to do damage control at this time, as you both were not yet ready to say anything.
For days, the two of you navigated the newfound attention with a mix of amusement and caution, unsure of how to address the public's piqued interest in your personal lives.
But amidst the frenzy, there was a quiet certainty between us. One evening, as you and Suguru sat together in his cozy cabin retreat in the countryside. It was one of the places you loved being with him. Both of you were comfortable here, and no one was harassing you both. It was a change of pace from the city and for that you were glad. You knew your lover was in distress watching you have to be followed by cameras.
It would have been fine if it was just him, but it was hard to see you struggle with that unwanted attention. But here, at the very least, he could be reassured that no one was going to be chasing after you both to catch a scoop for the newspaper tabloids tomorrow. You were in peace, watching the stars, surrounded by flickering firelight and the hush of falling snow outside, we knew it was time.
"I think we should tell them," Suguru said softly, his gaze steady and reassuring.
You nodded, taking a deep breath. "Yeah, I think so too. It's just... it feels like the right time, doesn't it?"
Suguru's smile was tender. "It does. We've been keeping this between us for so long. It's about time we let them know."
There was a mix of relief and nervous anticipation in your chest. The decision to share your relationship with others meant opening yourselves to scrutiny, but also embracing a newfound freedom in being open about your love.
"I'm glad you feel that way," you admitted, squeezing Suguru's hand gently. "I've been thinking about how we'd do it, though. Should we just... announce it? Or maybe ease into it somehow?"
Suguru considered for a moment, his expression thoughtful. "I think a quiet announcement, something personal. Maybe a statement or a post, just letting people in a bit. Nothing flashy, just sincere."
You smiled, feeling reassured by his calm demeanor. "That sounds perfect."
Together, both of you crafted a heartfelt message to the world via Instagram. You posted pictures of you both through the years, showing the little glimpses of the two of you, from colleagues to friends, and finally to lovers. You wrote about your deep respect and admiration you had for each other, of the shared moments that had brought you closer, and the joy you found in each other’s presence.
When the announcement went live on your social media accounts, the response was overwhelming. Messages of love and support poured in from fans, friends, and colleagues alike. The world celebrated your love story, touched by the sincerity and authenticity of your words. And people were hooked about your romance. Somehow, the world saw an it couple. People gushed over everything about you.
Over the years, Geto Suguru had poured his heart into composing songs that were not just music, but reflections of your relationship. Each song was a tapestry woven with threads of joy, resilience, and quiet understanding. No one would understand each song better than you. Each lyric was a brushstroke capturing the nuances that only belonged to the two of you.
In the private moments between tours and film sets, Suguru would often retreat with his guitar, letting melodies weave themselves around the emotions that sparked everything that made him think of you.
He found inspiration in the simplest gestures—a shared smile across a crowded room, the touch of hands entwined in a moment of quiet intimacy, or the unspoken reassurance in a glance exchanged amid hectic schedules.
His songs became a soundtrack to your lives, resonating with authenticity that transcended mere performance. Through his music, Suguru painted vivid portraits of shared laughter under starlit skies, whispered promises exchanged in moments stolen away from the world, and the profound sense of belonging that anchored us amidst the whirlwind of fame and public scrutiny.
As his compositions evolved, so did your relationship, and each new song became a chapter in a long and happy road that you both dwelled on. The world watched with fascination as your on-screen chemistry seamlessly transitioned into real-life devotion, and fans marveled at the palpable love that radiated between the both of you on and off the screen.
In the spotlight of a concert hall filled with eager listeners, Suguru stood before a sea of faces, his guitar a conduit for emotions that flowed freely from heart to fingertips. With each strum and every lyric sung with unwavering passion, he not only shared your story but invited the audience into the intimate spaces where your love blossomed and flourished.
And as he dedicated a song to someone special, his eyes met yours in the front row, a silent acknowledgment of the journey they had embarked on together—a journey immortalized in melodies that would linger in the hearts of all who bore witness to this love story.
The audience hushed as Suguru walked over to the microphone and spoke into the microphone, his voice carrying a soft warmth that filled the room. You could feel your heart pounding as he tried to find you. When your eyes met, it was electric.
"Tonight, I want to dedicate a song to someone very special." His eyes met yours in the front row, where you sat, heart skipping a beat at the intensity of his gaze. “Love of my life, up on that balcony! Doll, I love you. I hope you know that all this would never exist without you.”
As the first chords of the guitar filled the air, memories flooded back—late-night conversations, stolen kisses, moments of quiet intimacy that had woven themselves into the fabric of our lives. The world had watched in awe as our on-screen chemistry translated seamlessly into real life, and our fans often remarked on the palpable love we had for each other.
Suguru's voice resonated with emotion as he sang, each word a love letter whispered to your heart. The world was singing songs to the words, the poems he wrote to you and only you. And you couldn’t feel any happier. Any more content, to be this loved. To be the only person that he truly deeply loves.
The lyrics painted a portrait of our journey, from tentative beginnings to a love that had weathered storms and emerged stronger. In that moment, surrounded by the melody and the warmth of Suguru's presence, you knew that this was more than a concert—it was a declaration, a celebration of a love that had transcended the screen and found its place in the hearts of everyone present.
As the final notes faded into the air, applause erupted, but all you could hear was the beating of your heart, synchronized with Suguru's, united in the melody of a love song that would resonate long after the last encore. The crowd clapped and cheered. You felt your eyes water with nothing but tears of joy.
He looked at you with that loving grin that was only for you.
The one that would stick with you for the rest of your life.
A month later, you both were in the clasp of your break up.
YOU DON’T KNOW HOW IT ALL FELL FAST. Work had always been demanding, but recently, it seemed to swallow up every spare moment. Your schedules became a maze of conflicting obligations, leaving little room for the moments of connection that once defined your relationship. As days turned into weeks without seeing each other, and unanswered messages piled up, the distance between you grew palpable.
One evening, after another missed opportunity to meet, you couldn't contain your concerns any longer. Sitting across from Suguru in a dimly lit corner of a bar, you voiced your worries, the words tinged with frustration and worry. "I feel like we're drifting apart. We hardly see each other anymore, and I miss you, Suguru.”
Suguru's response was unexpectedly calm, his demeanor unwavering. "We're fine, babe." he assured you, his voice steady but distant. “You know that.”
Frustration flared within you, fueled by the sting of his apparent indifference. "Fine?" you retorted, the words tinged with frustration and hurt. "How can you say that? We haven't even talked properly in weeks. I don't feel like my needs are being met, Suguru."
The bitterness of unspoken grievances bubbled to the surface, amplified by the haze of alcohol and the weight of unaddressed concerns. Pushing further, you demanded clarity. "When can we talk about this? When will you make time for us?"
Suguru's response was curt, his own patience wearing thin. "Not now, okay? I have too much on my plate."
The tension hung heavy in the air, charged with unresolved emotions and the sharp edges of unmet expectations. You leaned forward, voice tinged with desperation and a tinge of anger. "How long are we going to keep putting this off, Suguru? I need to know where we stand."
Suguru's expression tightened, a flicker of frustration crossing his features. "I said not now, alright? Can't you see I'm dealing with a lot right now?"
The words cut deeper than intended, slicing through the fragile thread of patience that held you both together. "I get that you're busy," you shot back, the bitterness in your voice betraying the hurt beneath. "But what about us? Are we just going to keep pretending everything's okay until it's too late?"
His silence spoke volumes, a testament to the growing distance between you. The crowded bar seemed to fade into the background as the weight of your words settled between you like an unbridgeable chasm. In that moment, the stark reality of your situation crystallized—you were drifting apart, caught in the undertow of careers that had once bound you together but now threatened to tear you apart.
The ache of longing mingled with frustration as you searched his eyes for a glimmer of reassurance, a sign that he still cared enough to fight for what you once had. But all you found was a weary resignation, a reflection of his own internal battles and the relentless demands of fame.
"We can't keep avoiding this," you finally whispered, the admission heavy with resignation. "I need more than just promises, Suguru. I need you."
Suguru's jaw tightened visibly, his normally composed demeanor cracking under the strain of your words. "What do you want from me, huh?" His voice, usually calm and steady, now carried a sharp edge of frustration. "I'm doing the best I can here. I have responsibilities, deadlines—"
"Responsibilities? Deadlines?" You couldn't hold back the bitterness that laced your retort. "What about us? Where do we fit into your grand plans, Suguru?"
The bar seemed to shrink around you, the noise of other patrons fading into a distant hum as your argument escalated. Anger surged through you, fueled by months of feeling sidelined and ignored. "I'm tired of waiting for you to have time for us. We used to make time, remember?"
His silence was damning, a stark confirmation of the growing divide between you. "You're being unreasonable," Suguru shot back, his voice rising slightly. "You know how important my work is."
"And what about how important we are?" The words slipped out like a dagger, cutting through the last vestiges of restraint. "I feel like I'm competing with your career for your attention, and I'm losing."
A wave of regret washed over Suguru's features, but his reply was defensive. "I can't just drop everything whenever you want me to, doll." he said, voice tinged with frustration. “It’s not that easy!”
"Then when, Suguru? When will you make time for us?" The plea in your voice was raw, exposed in the harsh light of reality. "Or are we just going to keep drifting further apart until there's nothing left?"
The accusation hung heavy in the air, a painful admission of the cracks that had formed in your once-solid foundation. In the charged silence that followed, neither of you seemed to have an answer, each grappling with the weight of unspoken truths and the daunting prospect of what lay ahead for a relationship once filled with promise, now teetering on the brink of irreparable damage.
Suguru's jaw tightened further, his gaze flickering with a mix of anger and hurt. "I don't know, okay?" His voice wavered, betraying the turmoil within. "I'm trying to balance everything, but it's not easy. Can't you see that?"
Frustration gnawed at your resolve, tears threatening to spill over as the ache of longing collided with the sting of his words. "I just need to know that we are still a priority to you." you whispered, voice cracking with emotion.
"I'm sorry. Suguru replied, his tone softer now, tinged with remorse. "I didn't mean for it to be like this. I thought... I thought we could make it work. We always have—”
The weight of his admission hung heavy in the air, a fragile bridge over the chasm that had widened between you. "So did I," you admitted, voice barely above a whisper. "But we can't keep going on like this, Suguru. Something has to change. We can’t continue like we always have and I just…”
For a moment, there was a flicker of understanding in his eyes, an acknowledgment of the pain and uncertainty. "Maybe... maybe we need some time," Suguru suggested tentatively, his voice tinged with resignation. "To figure things out. Cool down.”
The words landed heavily, their implications sinking in like stones cast into still waters.
Time—perhaps the only currency left to salvage what remained of your fractured relationship. In the dimly lit bar, amidst the ebb and flow of conversations that now seemed distant and inconsequential, you both grappled with the reality of what lay ahead. It was a crossroads of roads not taken.
Your heart sank as Suguru's words hung in the air, a stark reminder of the reality you both faced. Time—a desperate plea for a lifeline amidst the storm threatening to tear you apart. But beneath his suggestion lingered the unspoken truth, a truth you could no longer deny.
"I think... maybe we need more than just time, Suguru." you replied softly, each word heavy with the weight of impending sorrow.
Suguru's brow furrowed, confusion etched across his features as he searched your eyes for clarity. "What do you mean?"
"I mean..." Your voice caught, emotions threatening to overwhelm you. "I think we need to break up, Suguru."
The words hung between you, heavy and final. The air seemed to still, the ambient sounds of the bar fading into a distant echo as the gravity of your declaration settled over both of you. Suguru's expression shifted from confusion to disbelief, then to a desperate plea as he reached out, his hand trembling slightly.
"No." he whispered, his voice cracking with a mixture of anguish and denial. "Please, don't do this. We can work through this, I know we can."
Tears spilled freely down your cheeks as you shook your head, unable to meet his pleading gaze. "I don't think we can." you managed, voice breaking with the weight of your decision. "I can't keep feeling like I'm second to everything else in your life. I need more than what we have now."
Suguru's hand dropped to his side, his shoulders slumping in defeat. "But I love you, doll." he pleaded softly, voice thick with emotion. "I love you more than anything."
The pain in his voice mirrored your own, one that understands the gravity of this situation. But love alone couldn't bridge the gap that had grown between you, nor could it erase the wounds inflicted by neglect and unfulfilled promises. You can’t keep climbing on seesaws and expect no one will fall. Someone has to get down before someone hurts someone worse.
"I know." you whispered hoarsely, your heart breaking with every syllable. "But love isn't enough anymore."
With those final words, you turned away, unable to bear the weight of his gaze any longer. Each step felt like a farewell to a chapter of your life that had once held so much promise, now shrouded in the ache of what could have been.
“Goodbye, Suguru.” You whisper to him.
As he watched you leave, Geto Suguru remained rooted to the spot, a solitary figure amidst the bustling bar, grappling with the sudden emptiness that enveloped him. As you disappeared into the night, the echoes of your decision lingered, leaving behind a void that neither time nor distance could easily fill.
Like he was then, he was alone again.
There were no more love songs to write.
After all, he doesn’t have a muse anymore.
IT WAS A HARD THING, POST BREAK UP. After months of deliberate distance, you had meticulously carved out a life without Geto Suguru—deleting social media, blocking his number, and meticulously avoiding any reminders of the past. It wasn't about erasing him; it was about finding clarity amidst the pain.
Yet, despite the space you sought, thoughts of him lingered, an unwelcome but constant presence in your thoughts. You hadn't wanted to discard everything you had shared—your friendship, the laughter, the late-night conversation. But the ache of heartache had necessitated the separation. And that separation, it was what you can’t do away with. Pain was always necessary to living. You can’t always be happy about things all the time.
Then came the unexpected twist: the news that you and Suguru were paired for the upcoming promotions of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2. Your manager pitched an idea that made your heart sink and pulse race simultaneously—an appearance on a popular show where you both would participate in a "Truth or Drink" segment.
The proposition was daunting. The prospect of facing Suguru after all this time, under the scrutiny of cameras and questions designed to peel back layers you had painstakingly protected, left you torn. Part of you longed for closure, a chance to mend what had fractured. Another part feared reopening wounds that had barely begun to heal.
Deep down, you knew one thing: despite the pain, you still cared. You wanted to salvage what remained—a friendship built on shared dreams and mutual respect. The thought of facing him again, navigating the uncertain terrain of unspoken apologies and lingering affection, stirred a tumult of emotions.
As you mulled over the proposal, uncertainty clouded your judgment. Could this show be a bridge to reconciliation, a chance to mend fences and rediscover the camaraderie that had once defined your bond? Or would it unravel the fragile peace you had painstakingly cultivated in his absence?
With a sigh, you realized that regardless of the risks, the opportunity to reconnect, to confront the unresolved emotions that had tethered you to Suguru, was one you couldn't dismiss lightly. Whatever lay ahead, it was time to face the truth, whether through words spoken or drinks shared, in hopes of finding a way forward, together or apart.
You stared at the email on your screen, heart pounding with a mix of apprehension and curiosity. Your manager had just sent the proposal to Suguru's team, and surprisingly, he had accepted. A wave of emotions crashed over you—relief, nervousness, and a flicker of hope.
Days passed before the meeting was set in a quiet cafe near your house, chosen for its familiarity and the privacy it offered amidst the city's bustle. You after all preferred to live in a more down low neighborhood than most celebrities. You arrived early, hands trembling slightly as you waited, nerves building with each passing minute.
Finally, Suguru broke the silence, his voice tentative yet determined. "Hey, doll." he murmured, sliding into the seat opposite you.
"Hi.” you replied softly, managing a small smile that didn't quite reach your eyes. Your nickname makes you feel weird all the sudden, after not hearing it for so long. “It’s nice to see you.”
He nodded back at you. The silence stretched between you, pregnant with unspoken apologies and lingering questions. Finally, Suguru cleared his throat, gaze searching yours with a mix of regret and longing. "I... I didn't expect us to meet like this, truly." he admitted, voice tinged with sincerity.
"Neither did I." you confessed, fingers tracing patterns on the tabletop. "But here we are."
Suguru nodded, a flicker of uncertainty crossing his features. "About that Youtube show... I didn't think you'd agree to it."
You exhaled slowly, the weight of your decision settling over you. "I... I think it could be good for us." you admitted, meeting his gaze with a mixture of vulnerability and determination. "To talk. To clear the air. There’s….a lot of misinformation.”
"I want that too," Suguru said quietly, his gaze meeting yours with a glimmer of hope tempered by caution. "To clear your name from all those nasty rumors, once and for all."
You couldn't help but feel a mix of surprise and gratitude at his words. The weight of the accusations that had circulated, tarnishing your reputation and testing your resilience, had been a burden you bore alone. To hear that one day, Suguru made the decision to take legal action against those responsible stirred a wave of emotions within you.
"I didn't think you'd sue those people." you admitted, your voice soft with both relief and lingering disbelief. The thought of confronting the falsehoods head-on had initially seemed daunting, even isolating, but knowing Suguru stood by you brought a renewed sense of strength.
Suguru reached across the table, his hand finding yours in a gesture that spoke volumes. "I couldn't stand by and watch you suffer, doll." he murmured, his gaze intense yet reassuring. "You deserve to be heard, to set the record straight."
His words resonated deep within you, a validation of your struggle and a beacon of support in the face of adversity. For the first time in months, you allowed yourself to believe that perhaps, together, you could navigate the storm that had threatened to tear you apart.
"I've missed... talking to you." He admitted to you.
The admission hung between you, a fragile bridge over the chasm of hurt and regret that had kept you apart. For a moment, you both sat in companionable silence, the warmth of shared memories mingling with the uncertainty of what lay ahead.
"I've missed it too." you finally admitted, voice barely above a whisper. “More than you know.”
Silence engulfed you both for a moment, the weight of unspoken words and unresolved emotions lingering between you like a palpable presence. Suguru's question hung in the air, a tentative bridge over the divide that had grown between you.
"How have you been?" he asked softly, his voice carrying a mix of curiosity and genuine concern.
You took a deep breath, the question unraveling a floodgate of thoughts and feelings you had guarded so carefully. "It's been... challenging." you admitted finally, your gaze drifting to the tabletop as you searched for the right words. "Lonely, at times. But I've been trying to focus on moving forward."
Suguru nodded slowly, his expression reflecting a blend of understanding and regret. "I'm sorry, doll." he murmured, his voice tinged with remorse. "For everything."
The sincerity in his words touched a chord within you, a reminder of the bond you had once shared and the wounds that had driven you apart. "I know, Suguru." you replied softly, meeting his gaze with tenderness. "I've missed talking to you."
A flicker of relief crossed Suguru's features, his shoulders relaxing marginally. "I've missed it too." he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. "It’s hard….not being able to talk to you.”
The admission hung between you, a fragile thread connecting past regrets to uncertain futures. In that moment, the bustling cafe seemed to fade away, leaving only the echo of shared memories and the tentative hope of reconciliation.
"I don't know where we go from here, after we do the show." you confessed, your voice tinged with uncertainty.
Suguru reached across the table once more, his hand finding yours with a gentle squeeze. "Maybe we start with honesty," he suggested quietly, his gaze unwavering. "And take it one step at a time."
You didn’t know what else to say to him.
But you think that you both long for the same things in life.
You wanted to stay in each other’s lives for as long as possible.
SO CAME THAT DAY. When you arrived in the studio, you didn’t know what you were going to do. But the more you think about him being there, being with you to hold your hand to talk you through it, the more you think that you might get somewhere.
You and Suguru sat across from each other, the sounds of music floating softly in the background. The line up of alcoholic beverages on the table along with shot glasses and a cup of soda for a chaser. The tension in the air was palpable, each of you unsure of what this conversation might reveal.
Emotions churned beneath the surface, like a storm gathering strength, and the truths that might come out held the potential to either break or shatter what remained between you. Suguru and you wanted to be honest, to address things properly, but also to keep some boundaries intact. But then again, how could you, when it came to him? He was the love of your life. And you knew you were his.
As you sat down, you smiled at him, a gesture that felt both familiar and foreign. He smiled back, as tenderly as he could, just as he always had. For a moment, you were transported back to a time when things were simpler, when the man sitting across from you was the one you fell in love with. His eyes held the same warmth, the same quiet intensity that had once captivated you.
"You know….I really don’t know what’s going to come out of this conversation between us." Suguru said, his voice trembling slightly. But he smiles, as though trying to comfort you too. “This is a new sort of conversation to have in front of the camera.”
You glanced at him, your own hands shaking. You laugh shakily. "Don’t worry. I feel that too. I don’t think that this is gonna be any easy for us. I'm afraid it's going to be like..." You railed off, unable to finish the thought. “You know what, let that thought disappear.”
"Do you want to go... Yeah," he chuckled nervously. “Let it disappear with a drink.”
“Pour it down, Sugu!”
You watched Suguru take a deep breath, his hands steady as he poured the clear liquid into the small shot glasses lined up between you. The familiar scent of vodka filled the air, a sharp contrast to the subdued atmosphere that had settled over the table.
"You really went with vodka first?" you quipped lightly, a hint of amusement coloring your tone despite the nerves that fluttered in your stomach.
Suguru chuckled softly, the sound familiar and comforting. "It's the closest to grab!" he replied with a half-smile, his eyes meeting yours briefly before returning his attention to the task at hand.
A moment later, you both raised the glasses to your lips, the cool liquid burning slightly as it slid down your throat. The familiar warmth spread through you, a mixture of nerves and determination mingling in the shared ritual. As you set the empty glasses back on the table, a sense of tenderness settled between you. Liquid courage settled tremendously well.
"Here goes nothing, Sugu." you murmured, meeting Suguru's gaze with a mixture of apprehension and resolve.
"Nothing we can't handle, doll." he replied softly, his voice carrying a reassurance that eased the lingering doubts.
You shake your head at him, as he smiles as you introduce yourself. "And I play his situationship in Jujutsu Kaisen." you said, breaking the ice. He laughs.
"And I'm Geto Suguru." he replied, smiling faintly. “I also play their situationship in Jujutsu Kaisen.”
"We used to date each other.” you continued, looking at him.
"Is dating the right word?" he asked, a hint of uncertainty in his voice.
"Yeah, I think it could be the right one." you nodded. "I mean, people who date also live together!"
"For many happy years, I may add." he added, and you both laughed at the shared memory. “Those were the days.”
"I guess that's how we know each other. Then, we broke up a few months ago." You said, the laughter fading into a more somber mood.
“That really killed the mood so fast in the studio!” Suguru laughs. “We are so sorry about that.”
“I feel like I need a penalty shot for that.” You laughed with him.
“Should I pour some whiskey for that?”
“Yeah, why not?” You say as you watched him pour the whiskey
"Okay," Suguru said, raising his glass. "Cheers."
“Cheers.” You clink your glass with his and you start drinking.
It was your turn to pick up a flashcard, your fingers trembling slightly as you lifted it from the pile. Across the table, Suguru had already started sipping his chaser, a nervous habit that betrayed the gravity of the game you were about to play.
"Am I a better lover than who you're currently with?" you asked, your voice steady despite the sudden seriousness that settled over the conversation.
Suguru paused mid-sip, his expression shifting from casual to contemplative. "I'm not currently going out with anyone, that's for sure." he admitted quietly, setting down his glass. His gaze met yours, earnest and vulnerable. "And because of that, yes. You are a better lover. Probably always will be my best lover."
The honesty in his words took you aback, a mix of validation and melancholy washing over you. To hear Suguru acknowledge the depth of your connection, even amidst the uncertainties that had driven you apart, stirred a tumult of emotions within.
"I..." You faltered, unsure how to respond to such candid admission. The weight of his words hung between you, echoing the intensity that had defined your relationship. “That was not the answer I was expecting from you. I thought you were already dating.”
“I doubt that I could get over you very quickly.” Suguru sighs.
"Do you think they feel the same way?" a female staff voice interjected.
“Do you?” Suguru turned to look at you.
“Yeah.” You responded to him a moment later. “I’m also not seeing anyone, so…. I doubt that I could think anything of it.”
“If you were dating someone, would you feel like that too?” The staff once more interjected with a question.
You hummed. “I think…..probably. Suguru and I dated for a long time. And I was loved in ways that people can never even fathom. Only he has been able to do that.”
Suguru looked at you for a moment, as though he saw the universe in your eyes. He felt the heat pierce his cheek. “I think I need to get a drink on that.”
“Go for it.” You say, blushing just as equally bad. “I’ll drink with you.”
You both drink together, your eyes lowering at the intensity of his gaze. “You stare at me too much.”
"Can’t help it,” Suguru whispered, his voice a soft admission of vulnerability and lingering affection.
His eyes met yours briefly, a flicker of warmth passing between you before he glanced down at the flashcards scattered between you on the table. Each card held a potential truth, a shard of their past waiting to be explored.
“I guess it’s my turn,” he murmured, his fingers lingering over the cards as he chose one with a thoughtful deliberation.
As Suguru flipped over the card, you held your breath, uncertain of what awaited. The air in the cafe seemed charged with anticipation, the ambient sounds fading into a distant hum as he prepared to reveal the next piece of their shared story.
With a steadying breath, Suguru read aloud, his voice steady yet tinged with emotion. “Do you regret how things ended between us?”
“I do.” You responded to him, confidently. “I feel like I was an adult and I should have been able to be an adult in that situation with you. But instead, I acted like a child when I should have settled down too.”
“No, but I feel like I hold the most at fault for that.” Suguru says as he leaned forward, straightening his posture. “There was really no reason for me, even if I was stressed and exhausted, for me to have reacted to you that way.”
“You were exhausted that time too.” You smiled at him softly. “I don’t think I could hold it against you.”
“Just like I don’t hold it against you that you were exhausted waiting for me and trying for me to figure things out.” Suguru replied back. “You don’t deserve that and I’m glad you stood your ground and put yourself first when you needed to.”
“I was waiting for something like that from you.” You retorted back to him, your smile turning emotional. “I’m glad that you gave it to me.”
“I’m sorry it took me so long to say it.” His face softens, the hurt in his eyes palpable.
You shook your head. “It’s alright, we’re alright.”
“It’s your turn.”
"Did you ever cheat on me, and if you did, what was the reason?” You read the card, looking at him. “Did you ever do it?”
"I've had some pretty solid opportunities, doll." he admitted to you. “But I never thought about it.”
"Is that a no?" You pressed.
"It’s a no.” He tells you, and you could see it in his eyes, he was honest. “I had you, doll. I don’t think I needed to have anyone else.”
You laughed. “Yeah, I guess you’re telling the truth.”
“How about you? Did you ever cheat on me?" Suguru asked, turning the question back on you.
"No. The fuck?" You replied, offended. He laughs. “I would never.”
“I really don’t think we had the energy to do something like that.”
You nodded, looking at the camera. “Our managers are behind the camera. When we tell you that our schedules were so packed….there wasn’t even room to pee!”
“I say that every time we have to do a reshoot because Satoru made a funny face.” Suguru added. “Gojo–kesa isn’t easy to remove everyone. Especially when you need to pee!”
“I think we got too far ahead of ourselves here.” You retorted as you drank your chaser. “That got me thirsty.”
“To everyone, we did not in fact cheat on each other.” Suguru makes an ‘x’ sign with his arms. “We broke up normally, like some couples do.”
"Let's keep going," You said with a laugh, trying to steer the conversation back to safer ground.
"How long did it take you to get over us, and what did you do to help yourself get over it?" Suguru asked.
"I think I'm gonna take a drink." I said, dodging the question with a laugh.
“It’s only been a few months, so I don’t think that’s an easy thing to answer.” He laughs with you.
“Yeah, you’re right about that one.”
He winks at you. “I always am, doll.”
“My turn.” You say, picking up a card. "Do you think I'll be a great spouse?"
"Definitely." he said without hesitation, looking at you tenderly. "I wanted you to be mine, you know?"
"I know." You whispered, tears threatening to fall.
“Hey don’t cry now.”
“It’s the alcohol, don’t worry.”
"What was your least favorite thing I did to you in bed?" he asked.
"Well, my least favorite thing that you did to me in bed," You began, trying to keep my voice steady, "I think it's to not make love with me. You once slept on me before we could start something.”
"I can see that being your least favorite thing." Suguru snickered.
You pointed to the camera. “Lesson 101 folks, tell your partner beforehand!”
"When did you know it was over?" He asked, taking his turn.
"When your work and your friends become bigger than me." You said honestly. “I really didn’t know where we were and you kept telling me that it was fine and your friends told me it was fine. I think I was not understanding my place with you at the time.”
"Hmm. I didn't feel like all that became a priority. I think I was having a hard time trying to understand how to slow down from the work that was my life." He explained to you, as you nodded. "You know? And that was my fault. I feel like that community I had understood that and didn’t question it.”
“But that needed to be questioned.”
“Yeah, because it affected what we had. And that wasn’t fair to you.”
You nodded in surrender. “Yeah, that was it.”
"I'm sorry for all of it, doll." He whispered back to you. “That it hurt you.”
“It’s all in the past.” You whispered to him.
"If you could erase every thought of me, would you?" you asked, your voice breaking.
"Fuck, no! There would be nothing to feel pleasure about at night.” He joked, trying to lighten the mood. You smacked his hand, laughing so hard. “I’m sorry, that was a crude joke.”
"No, that's okay.” You whispered back at him, laughter subsiding. “That makes me feel really good about myself, actually.”
"It should make you feel beautiful, doll. All the expensive towels at home die because of you.” he teased.
"Alright, I'm gonna forget the towel thing now." you said, rolling your eyes as you tried not to laugh. "Why do I keep getting these cards? I dare you to take a body shot off me, or you have to take two shots."
"Was it two shots?" he asked.
"Yeah, it was two shots for you, Sugu." you confirmed.
“Okay, I’ll take the shots.” Suguru says as he gritted his teeth, pouring whiskey on two shot glasses. “This is not a good think for me later.”
“He still has to record a song later.” You say, laughing as he puts the bottle back and starts taking a shot. “I feel like you’d do fine though. You aren’t that much of a light weight.”
“I think so, but it would be emotional in the booth.”
“Oh then, cry it out!”
"This is a good question!" Suguru said, holding up a card for his turn. "If you could do it over again, what would you change?"
"I don't think I'd change anything, for our previous relationship.” You tell him honestly. “I think it ended when it needed to.”
“Yeah.”
“But I’m not putting the door to a close yet, I don’t know what would happen.” You whispered back at him with a soft smile. “But given the chance, similar to the question, how would you make it better?”
"I would put in more time, doll." he admitted to you. “I think I’d put you as my priority and what future we have together first.”
"That would be cool.” You said softly.
"I fucked up." he sighed, looking at you softly.
"Would you do it again?" You asked, your heart in your throat. “Would you take another shot at it, Sugu?”
"You know the answer, doll." he said, avoiding my gaze. He picks up another card. "Do you still love me?"
"Yeah. Yeah. Of course." You said, your voice trembling as you smiled. Your eyes water with emotion. "I think I always will.”
“I guess I’m the love of your life, huh?”
“You know that already.” You sniff, laughing.
“That I do.”
“Are you happy with our current relationship?" You asked him, turning to him as he slowly smiles.
"Doll, are you happy with everything right now?" he countered.
“With all that’s going on in my life?” He nodded at you. “Yeah, I’m happy. Some days are bad, but you know….I’m happy. You taught me how.”
"Good.”
“Huh?”
“Then the answer is yes." Suguru smiles at you, with that same smile that made you fall in love with him in the first place. “I’m happy.”
"Really?” You were taken aback, smiling as your face wells in your tears. “I don’t know what to say, Sugu.”
"You don’t have to say anything.” He whispers, leaning forward as he wipes your tears away. “As long as you’re happy. It’s more than enough for me to be happy too.”
"I wished that would have been enough, when we were together.” You whispered back to him. “I would have loved to hear that from you.”
"I know.” He smiles at you, pained. “I wish I could tell you more.”
"'I wanted to be with you for a long time." You admit to him, tears flowing more. He wipes them all away. “I really thought I would end up having forever with you.”
"Do you think your past break up has had closure, you two?" the staff’s voice asked, cutting through the emotional moment.
“I don’t think there’s ever going to be closure between the two of us.” You admit to them, almost as though it was a fact. “He’s my person, you know? I think the fact that we’re not together, it just…it's hard to know how there could be anything, but pining.”
“How about you, Suguru?”
"I think about them often and it hurts knowing that we're not going to have any closure.” He whispers as he too starts feeling his eyes sting with tears. He takes your hand into his and you squeeze back.
“You know, when the future changes everything so fast. And I just don’t know what to do, because they’ll always be my muse. And I’ll think about all these years, wondering whatever happened to the love of my life.”
He wipes his tears. “Fuck, I can’t see anything with these tears.”
"Hey, you wanna wipe our tears away with alcohol?" you suggested, attempting a smile through the lingering pain that tugged at your heart.
Suguru looked at you, his eyes softening as he nodded. "Yeah, let's go."
He pours the drinks and raises his shot glass, his faint smile touching his lips. "I don’t know what will happen in the future, but I am genuinely so lucky to have you in my life and I am so very lucky to have you as my muse. I hope you have nothing but happiness, love and joy, doll, my love.”
"Cheers, Sugu." You said softly, lifting my glass and clinking it against his.
"Cheers, doll." Suguru echoed as he downs his.
The sound of applause from the crew and staff filling the room as you both toasted farewell to your shared past and a hello to your uncertain future. The weight of our emotions mingled with the bittersweet taste of the drink, of the complexities of love and the resilience of the human spirit.
You smiled at him as you stood up from your own chair, being handed your bouquet of sunflowers — your favorite as you were thanked by everyone. And Suguru, being thanked by the other staff for his hard work with his own bouquet.
After the taping concluded, Suguru and you met at the lobby of the studio. The staff had already gone and left and your managers were waiting for your drivers outside. The atmosphere is still buzzing with the energy of the show and the lingering emotions from your candid revelations. You exchanged tentative smiles, a mixture of relief and uncertainty evident in your eyes.
"I'm glad we did this, doll." Suguru admitted softly, his voice carrying a hint of vulnerability. "I feel... I feel like this is the happiest I've been in a long time, just being here with you."
A warmth spread through your chest at his words.. "I feel the same, Sugu.” You confessed, meeting his gaze with a sincerity that echoed through the quiet lobby. “It was…..something that relieved me.”
The two of you stood there for a moment, the weight of unspoken words hanging between the two of you, until Suguru broke the silence with a gentle smile. "Well, I have a recording session to get to, doll." he said, his tone tinged with regret. "But I wanted to say... I wish you all the luck in the world with everything, you know?"
You nodded, feeling a lump form in your throat as you struggled to find the right words. "Thank you." You finally managed, a small smile tugging at the corners of your lips.
As Suguru turned to leave, a thought seemed to strike him, hesitating for a moment before he looked back at you with a hopeful expression. "Hey, are you free to hang out on Friday?" he asked, his voice quietly hopeful.
You couldn't help but return his smile, the warmth spreading through you once more. "Yeah, Sugu." You replied softly, the weight of uncertainty lifting slightly. “I am."
Relief washed over Suguru's features, a genuine happiness coloring his expression as he nodded. "Great," he said, his voice filled with quiet excitement. "I'll... I'll text you the details.”
"Is your number still the same?" You asked, a mix of nervousness and hope in your voice as Suguru paused, turning back towards you.
"Yeah, I never changed it," he whispered softly, a hint of a smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "Did... you?"
"No," You replied, relief flooding through him as you returned his smile. "I didn't."
"Great," Suguru nodded, his expression almost visibly lighter with relief. "I'll just... text you."
With that, he turned again, his steps echoing softly on the polished floor as he made his way towards the exit. You watched him go, feeling a surge of gratitude and anticipation welling up within me. The weight that had pressed on your heart for so long seemed to lift, replaced by some hope.
As Suguru disappeared from view, You couldn't suppress the smile that spread across your face. The promise of a future, uncertain yet filled with hope, stretched out before you, the both of you. And as you stood there, in the quiet of the studio lobby, you knew that whatever came next, you both had taken a small but significant step to take.
Maybe one day there will be more than this.
But for now, you were grateful for this moment.
You were grateful to have another chance to joy.

Vashwood rant
I can't sleep so why not analyze vashwood in the middle of the night
Now, this analysis is mostly of the manga, with maybe small takes from 98 and tristamp
To start let's look at the boys from their respective beginnings
Vash is so cruelly mischaracterized as a child, and it might be a little bit of trismaps fault, even though i do love it, or maybe people are just putting characters into boxes without really thinking about it but Vash is so not soft-shy-nice little baby brother. The whole thing with him being younger is so insane to me, i get why if Nai was born like 10 minutes earlier he would make it his whole personality (very sibling thing to do) but it's just so stupid. No, they have 0 age difference and it doesn't affect their dynamic cuz the are literally twins for the love of god. And, really, when you look at the manga as kids Nai was the emotional one! And he still is!
Nai is plagued by fear and anger and resentment and those emotions are what drive his every decision. Vash, on the other hand, is much more in control of his feelings and doesn't show them as much. That is to say that pre-tesla nai is the one worried about their relationship with humans, about their future, he's the one crying after talking to Conrad (what a sweet child he was) while Vash seemes much less scared.
And when they find out about Tesla Nai is the one who faints - he’s the more reactive one, the emotional one. And that small difference is what sets their paths so differently. Because Vash actually gets a chance to talk to Rem and figure things out.And that talk is so very important because it makes Rem, who already was everything to Vash, even more important.
Now, I want us all to think about how terrified Vash was after seeing Tesla cuz he probably thought his own mother was going to dissect him and his brother. But then she saves him when he tries to end his own life, proving that no she’s not gonna kill him, because she, as every human, has the capability to learn from her mistakes and make better choices. (too bad Nai didn’t get that lesson lol)
And then we get to the big bad things. (it’s genocide) But the important part from that whole ordeal is Rem’s sacrifice. Because, listen, I love stories where humanity is shown to be capable of change and forgiveness is a virtue and love and pussy and all that but oh man can it be so so unrealistic and a little bit insane to watch (su im looking at u (i love su but oh boy that is not how the world works unfortunately)) but Trimax manages to make it work so well. I believe that’s cuz Vash is a very kind and loving man but is also completely out of his mind and has horrendous mommy issues. At least half the reason he doesn’t kill people is because Rem has died to save them, and killing them would make it all be for nothing. If he kills these people or if he lets them die would that mean that Rem died for nothing? Did she sacrifice her life to save these people only for her own son to end their lives? AND you know I’m right cuz he literally says it in the manga but also BECAUSE HE DOES THE SAME FOR WOLFWOOD (also he did kill Nai when he had the chance but we don’t have time to unpack that)
All of that is A LOT and very complicated (i love Vash he’s so well written he’s my perfect little meow meow) now let's talk about Wolfwoooooooooood /twirls hair/
WW is much easier to understand and analyze cuz he is, just a guy,, WW is just a normal person who gets insanely unlucky and gets in THE WORST possible situations (If he ever played DND he would roll straight 1s). That is to say that his story is sort of a way to show how much life in the badlands sucks, but also that there are good things even in the worst places (the orphanage) And WW reacts to situations in the most rational way possible way - he kills to survive. he doesn’t want to but he doesn’t get a say in it. If he could chose he would just live with his family and friend and do whatever. And that, him being so normal in such a violent and bloody world is what makes him suffer all the time. His inner moral compass is screaming at him what a terrible person he is and he promptly ignores it.
That is until that moral compass manifests itself in the form of a tall, blond and handsome stranger that he’s supposed to lead to his death. The stranger who turns out to be the most compassionate and kind man WW’s has ever seen. Who he’s supposed to kill. It’s like finding an oasis in the desert and being forced to burn it to the ground. And WW doesn’t want to do that, and he refuses to believe that the oasis is not a mirage so he tries to get Vash to kill someone, even if it’s WW himself. (It doesn’t work.)
As we all know WW changes his mind because of Vash’s influence. And he dies for it. Because even though Vash’s beliefs are born of human virtues, no man is made to walk his path, for he is not human and any mortal who tries to follow an angel to the skies is doomed to crash. WHAT YOU DON’T EXPECT IS THAT THAT MAN WILL BRING THE ANGEL DOWN WITH HIM
There is this line I wrote for an art i’m planning to make and if you’ve read this far you deserve a lil spoiler - “have you found absolution in bringing an angel to his knees?” and it captures perfectly what i'm thinking. And also Vash spends so much time trying to be closer to people but I think him killing Legato might’ve been the most human thing he’s ever done. Cuz it’s is so beautiful in the way he does it for the memory of the person he loved and yet so ugly in it’s cruelty.
I’ve said this before but most of the time when there is a human/ some immortal powerful creature relationship I don’t think the human is that special but WW HE SO IS. Maybe it’s the way that he’s just as deep in the nuclear bombs with personality business as Vash is, being one of said nuclear bombs, but still remains a normal person with relatively good morals that he can anchor Vash to a sort of normality that he doesn’t get often. Like what other guy would get hunted by all sorts of freaks with you, get in trouble all the time, get shot and etc and etc and then go for a drink with you like it’s a normal wednesday? Wolfwood. Or maybe it's that WW learns of every worst part of Vash, he sees him be on the brink of losing himself, he knows Vash has actually caused the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people and ALMOST did it again after Julai, and still stays with him? He sees Vash become something that is not human at all and still stay? Idk MAYBE IT’S ALL OF THAT but WW is just so important and so down bad but we all know that already so i’m not gonna add to that
Anyways, I got this all out of my system gn

You aren't sure, you can change.
But you are sure, you can pretend.
Pretend to be distant and emotionless. Hide your interests.
So people won't judge you.
Cut yourself from others, so they won't find out about the real you.
And never tell anyone, that you want a hug.
_______
You almost fell down from the chair.
You doze off again. You shake your head, and blink a few times.
The game you were playing was paused. You yawn. Okay, enough for today.
You turn off your laptop and look at your phone.
5:00 am.
Once again, you didn't have any sleep tonight. Thanks, God, you are on vacation and don't have school for the next two months.
Or you, once again, will had to drink a few cups of black coffee to keep yourself awake.
You stand up from the chair, and take a few steps towards the bed. You plopped down on the bed. Right in the middle of your "nest", that was made out of plush toys.
Your house was big. Big and empty. Your parents work abroad, only visiting you two-three times per year.
Your parents barely were around. They prefer working. They send you money and hire some people to keep an eye on you.
You don't like this people.
They didn't care about your wellbeing. They didn't care, that you skip meals, or have sleepless nights.
They did bare minimum and do their own things.
It would be nice to have someone to care about you.
You cover yourself with a blanket and try to have some sleep.
_________________
🐾 Few days later, your wish come true.
🐾 BSD Characters got into your world. And they didn't like what they saw.
🐾 First thing they do - drove away people, that was your parents hired. And, thanks to some hacking from Ango and Katai and Tecchou's and Fitzgerald's diplomacy skills, they make your parents hire them to take care of you instead.
🐾 So, starting from that day, you had a bunch of people, who take care of you.
🐾 At first, you, as always with other unfamiliar people, were distant and emotionless. You don't want them to laugh at your love for plush toys and hugs.
🐾 Maybe, if you manage to become friends...
__________
🐾 BSD gang doesn't like what they see. You were strange. They have felt your emotions back in their world. You were so emotional, so open. So why you were so closed off? Why you didn't care about your health?
🐾 Well, they will make sure, that you will become better.
🐾 Yosano performs medical check up on you almost weekly.
🐾 The problem with sleep are tricky to deal with.
🐾 They don't want to tie you to the bed or turn off the power in the house.
🐾 So, they just check you from time to time.
🐾 You actually start sleeping more and better.
🐾 The problem with skipping meals were also solved.
🐾 But, they find a solution. A meal duty.
🐾 Teruko and Oda are on meal duty.
🐾 Oda will call you to come out and eat. If you refuse, Teruko will use her ability on you, to turn you into a child. Then Oda would carry you to the dinning room and will place you on the couch between two characters. Then Teruko, once again, would turn you back to normal.
🐾 The first time it happened were interesting.
________
"Oda, I will eat later... Wha? Teruko?" Teruko turn you to a nine-year-old kid. Your clothes were too big for you.
"Well, [Y/N], you need to eat. Don't skip meals." Explained Teruko, giving you a soft look.
Not giving you a chance to react, Oda picked you up and carry to the dinning room. There was almost all BSD gang.
Oda carries you to a couch, where Jouno and Tecchou already were sitting. Oda places you between them.
"There, now I will bring you a plate."
After Oda left, Teruko used her ability again. You were teen again. You wanted to stand up and go to your room, but Jouno and Tecchou almost squeezed you between them. You were trapped.
The dinner was delicious. And you have a nice chat with Tecchou and Jouno.
___________
🐾 After a week of Oda's and Teruko's efforts, you stopped skipping meals. While it was nice to be carried by Oda, or having pats from Teruko, you don't want to be a brat.
🐾 You are not a brat. And you start to open up to the characters. But you were still shy around them.
🐾 The first time you came to the dining room by yourself, you thought, that you will sit on the chair. You would miss sitting on the couch between characters and having chats.
🐾 But, before you can sit on a chair, Naomi grabbed you by the shoulders and lead you to the couch.
🐾 For the rest of the dinner, you were sitting between Tanizaki siblings, having a conversation about new movies.
🐾 Thanks to the meals, you were opening up to others.
🐾 You start to show them your emotions.
🐾 For characters, it was a good sign. You start to resemble the person they knew you are. But, they feel, that something was still hidden.
🐾 Despite understanding, that BSD characters care about you, for now, you were still nervous to show them your more 'childish' side. You were afraid to tell them, that you like hugs and a collection of plushies in your closet.
🐾 The best part of the meals, is that you have a some sort of human touch.
🐾 You love hugs. But, as everyone always said to you, it was childish to like them.
🐾 It was childish to like plush toys.
🐾 Your plushies originally were on your bed, but you hide them in the old closet in the hall, so others won't see them. To others, you said, that there were old rugs in this closet.
🐾 But, one day, the cat was out of the bag.
____________
While you and Atsushi were shopping, Goncharov had an idea to do a spring-cleaning. With everyone to help with it.
For a spring-cleaning, they need a lot of rugs.
They gather around the closet, where you told them old rugs are.
You and Atsushi were back from the supermarket. When you walk inside the house, you saw Kenji opening the closet door.
Before you can stop him, all your plushies fall from the closet.
Silence.
You looked at the characters, embarrassed.
Characters looked at you.
All of you were silent for a good minute.
"[Y/N], why there are plush toys of Sigma, Kenji, Ranpo and me in a basket that says 'Mission: Get a hug'?" Asked Atsushi, looking at your plushies.
You mumble something incoherent. You were so embarrassed. Now they see, how childish you are.
Ranpo chuckled quietly and take a step towards you.
"I can help with explanation".
Ranpo grins.
"Like plushies?"
"Yes" No laughing. Doesn't seem, that BSD gang will mock you.
"Has another interest, that seems not suitable for teens?"
"Yes" You looked at the floor.
"Were called childish?"
"Yes" Gang looked sympathetic.
"It hurts you?"
"Yes" Even more sympathetic looks.
"Try to pretend that your interests have changed?"
"Yes" You finally looked at Ranpo. He doesn't look smug. His gaze was soft, and the smile was reassuring.
"Too much pressure?"
"Yes" Atsushi, who was standing next to you, pet your shoulder.
"Start skipping meals and stay up late?"
"Yes" Yosano's eye twitch. She was really concerned. Finally, she knew the reason behind your bad habits.
"Parents don't care?"
"Yes" This fact angered your new friends. Hirotsu mumbles something about 'not-suitable for parenting people'.
"People, that we throw away, didn't care?"
"Yes" You are sure, you heard Junchirou and Jouno talking about visiting your former 'caretakers'.
"Were afraid that we won't care or will laugh?"
"Yes..." Your cheeks feel warm.
"Feel better now?"
"Yes" You nodded.
"Want a hug?" Ranpo's grin became bigger.
"Yes... Wait, what?" Before you can react, Ranpo hugged you. He was warm. Ranpo start petting your back.
You were pretending not to like it for a whole thirty seconds.
After that, you almost melt in Ranpo's embrace.
__________
🐾 The Wall is broken.
🐾 Now, with BSD cast, you can be yourself.
🐾 You are emotional. You are not afraid to show, that you like your new friends.
🐾 But, for you, the best thing that came, were hugs and head pats.
🐾 The sheer contrast between an emotionless teen with bags under their eyes, that you were, and a bundle of emotions, who almost purr after getting a head pat from Fukuzawa for doing good at school.
🐾 Your physical health and mental health have improved. Now there is no stress in your life, no people, who judge you.
🐾 Now there's only you and BSD characters. You care for each other. And nothing can destroy your new family

Here we go, it's Ranma time. Episode 5! The introduction to Ryoga continues.
God, I love how mournfully quiet this is.
This is what happens when women write women. Male writers don't often think about things like just how much a long-haired girl's hair means to her. Akane's been growing that out for years.
Look at how little she was when she started growing her hair. That is the product of years. Many years. Gone in an instant.
But she rolls with the punches. Akane has remarkable emotional fortitude. She'd kind of have to in order to survive all the shit she's had to put up with in her day-to-day life.
I love that they leave so much unstated, yet clearly implied, about the way her long hair relates to her longstanding crush on Dr. Tofu. When she says she wants to grow it out so she can be like Kasumi, there's an implication there that she thinks Dr. Tofu will like her more if she has Kasumi's hairstyle.
She's trying to walk in her big sister's shoes so that the man who likes her big sister might look her way. An idea that was doomed from the moment of its conception. She was never going to beat Kasumi at being Kasumi, and if she has to try, then she's already failed.
The manga's a bit more explicit about this, as Kasumi directly tells Baby Akane that Dr. Tofu won't like her very much if she keeps acting like a boy. From that, she draws the conclusion that having hair like Kasumi will make him like her more. But the reboot anime keeps it implied and understated.
So there's a lot going on here when Akane breaks down and cries into Dr. Tofu's chest. This is the end of an era. The loss of her hair symbolizes the death of a child's dream. The end of her efforts to be more like Kasumi so that this man would like her better, and the beginning of a new era where someone else out there will like her for being Akane.
While also demonstrating how much she leans on and depends on Dr. Tofu as a stabilizing figure in her life. She feels safe enough with him to finally let down her walls and cry out the grief over her lost hair, in a way she doesn't have at school or at home. Ironically mourning the death of her pursuit of him to him.
My dude, you desperately need to get a hobby. Supervillains are more considerate. Giving some real Vegeta energy here, but specifically the TeamFourStar kind.
And also the Tendo home desperately needs to get some door locks because he just strolled right on in here to do this.
And they both get punished for this.
Story of Ranma's life.
Takahashi's comedy remains incredible. Kasumi objects to Akane going out there not because she doesn't think Akane can take the mystery robber but because she wants Akane to hit him with something heavier.
I want that too. So Kasumi and I are on the same page.
She does, too. Nails Ryoga right in the back of the neck with a long-range shotput throw of that fucking barbell. Akane wins Ranma v. Ryoga, Round 2.
The moral of the story is to... not... do... anything that Ryoga did here.
...or, really, anything that Ryoga ever does. Don't be like Ryoga. That's sound life advice. (Not that the rest of the cast is any better.)
Immediately followed by Kasumi with another punchline. Man, I did not remember how funny she is.
Akane's rematch with Ryoga goes super well too. She is on fire.
Sincerely want to know what could possibly have possessed him to think jumping Akane while in piglet form was a good idea.
So begins the saga of P-chan.
AND ALL FOR BREAD AND BREAD-RELATED PRODUCTS
My dude.
The curry bun was not worth it.
Like.
Like. The part where Ranma knocked Ryoga into the piggy spring without noticing and then Genma tried to fucking eat him? Yeah. I can see being homicidally mad about that.
But he didn't even know that was them until literally this scene. Everything up to this point has been Ryoga blaming Ranma because he, Ryoga, stalked Ranma to China to avenge his curry bun.
Speaking of Genma.
I love how he just walks in on his son in girly form having Naked Bath Time with some random boy, and his response is to just... apologize and peace out. Whatever this is, it's none of his business.
Actually, not just any random boy. Specifically the random boy that got Ranma in trouble earlier tonight when he snuck into their bedroom for a late-night call.
Genma definitely thinks these two are up to shenanigans.
Literally the only member of her family that actually objects to Ranma sneaking into Akane's room late at night to do shenanigans to her (read: trying to fucking extract Ryoga from an unsuspecting Akane's bed) is Kasumi. Who merely scolds Ranma for moving too fast.
Is it any wonder she doesn't feel safe being emotionally vulnerable at home?
(Seriously, though, there is so much drama that could be avoided if Ranma would just tell Akane that P-chan is Ryoga. She has a right to know that, and not telling her makes Ranma complicit in Ryoga's shittiness.)

Well, it's officially My Herover
What a god damn bummer
I remember starting the series, feeling not quite satisfied with the MCU at the time and loving Izuku and All Might and the way the series didn't take long to put Bakugo's ego in check
Then the sports festival arc blew everything out the water. Deku's resourcefulness during the obstable race, the cavalry team battle, Bakugo vs Uraraka, my boy Shinso, and the unforgettable Deku vs Todoroki really made me feel like this was a mangaka who could make an excellent story with any character, no matter how little screentime they'd had before
The Stain arc wasn't quite as impactful as the sports festival, but it did wonders for Deku, Iida and Todoroki's growth, and Uraraka's martial arts training was a welcome surprise
The training camp was Deku's finest moment. I don't care what anybody says, "My Hero" is the greatest Izuku chapter and both the manga and anime did magic with it
And then came the peak of the series, though we wouldn't know it for years. All Might vs All for One. I remember being stressed out of my mind that All Might would die, and happy beyond belief when he survived
But then cracks started appearing. The eight precepts arc skipped the all-girls team and gave Izuku a get-out-of-jail-free card to abuse his powers with no consequences whatsoever. The festival arc was great but seeing Nejire in a beauty competition didn't make up for her being skipped in the eight precepts arc
And then Izuku developed a second quirk, and the promise of six more quirks down the line, which was honestly the beginning of the end. I said as much when the chapter dropped and history had proven me right. Because Izuku was already gonna become the strongest hero in history, stronger than All Might, because that's how OfA works. There was no need to give him a swiss army knife of extra superpowers
The villain arc did little to ease my worries. It focused on the three villains that had already had the most screentime and ignored Spinner and Compress who really needed some more background exploration, and it made Shigaraki bonkers levels of powerful
And then there was the war. During the kids' first year of school. Midnight got killed offscreen, because I guess Horikoshi needed someone "important" to die but he didn't want to kill anybody actually important (seriously, go look at the list of casualties of the war. It's a bunch of nobodies and Midnight)
Star and Stripes came and died only to nerf Shigaraki, which wouldn't have been necessary ir Hori could balance his power sets
Nagant came, exposed even more the dark side of hero agencies, got immediately redeemed by Izuku and then blew up
Deku's vigilante arc was. A thing that existed. And it really showed how underdeveloped most of Class 1A were, because the big emotional scene where everybody asks Izuku to remember the good times they shared together was 80% "hey remember this one and only scene we had?". Points for Bakugo and Iida though, they got the good stuff
The traitor reveal arc was also a thing that happened. Woulda been nice if the kids had had some actual time to process their feelings and deal with the fallout of the whole thing
And then the final war. Boy, did that one drag on forever. Bakugo died, then he got better because a hero who never had any screentime with him sacrificed himself to save him except he didn't even die so no biggie
Toga and Spinner could have had something, maybe, but Hori didn't spent enough time to seriously make them impactful. Spinner especially, the whole heteromorph discrimination thing felt way too forced and tacked on at the last minute
All Might busted out a mecha suit to fight on All for One's level, which would've come in pretty handy when they fought against Shigaraki. Then AfO died, but then he wasn't dead and was actually the one who gave Shigaraki his quirk, and he ate Shigaraki's soul and became the big bad, and then he died literally 2 chapters later, and Shigaraki who had enough energy left for one last hit against AfO also died for good. Oh and Izuku lost both arms, which had been built-up to happen since the sports festival, but then he got them back one chapter later so. No biggie
And then the final chapters. Society got better, don't ask for details. Everybody is 8 years older, don't ask for timeskip designs. Izuku is now a teacher, but he gets a new mech suit that shouldn't have taken 8 years to develop considering All Might's took months, and he jumps right back up to be a hero. The end
My Hero feels like the new gen Naruto. A large cast with varied powers that 80% never get properly developed in favor of the big 3, and a very interesting world that barely gets explored
The 1A vs 1B arc really feels like the point where the series becomes something different. Side characters begone, it's the Izuku-Bakugo-Shoto story. Inko, the protagonist's mother, who always had been shown suffering through Izuku's many injuries and even got All Might to admit he hadn't been taking proper care of his protegé, got sidelined and we don't even see her react to the truth of Izuku's quirk. Izuku masters 6 quirks offscreen, whereas before the series made an absolute point of showing the process of him growing and learning and improving
I really loved this series, and I'm damn dissappointed in what it became, in case it wasn't clear. I hope Horikoshi has made enough money to rest for a while. By the end he constantly needed to take breaks because his health was just going down the drain. I hope he gets to kick back and relax, and if he ever writes anything else I'm not gonna read it
Good bye, My Hero Academia. I'll always cherish the first parts and the characters, almost as much as I'll mourn all the wasted potential they all had

chapter 148 thoughts!
New chapter! New arc! New - Osh no Beach Episode?! Uh - sure, fuck it! Why not!
Chapters Since The 143 Kiss Happened And Went Completely Unacknowledged And Unaddressed Count: 5
It felt weirdly jarring to realize it was late summer in series for some reason lol… I think it's a combo of it still being pretty chilly here in the UK and me just having entirely lost track of the passage of time while we were in Movie Arc Purgatory.
I actually don't have a ton to say about this chapter as it's kind of just an echo of what we got with 138; a little breather beat between emotional upheavals that sets up the oncoming drama at the end. I definitely think it does so less gracefully than 138 and I ultimately enjoyed it less. That's not to say it's a bad chapter and watching everyone have goofy fun in the sun was cute - it just didn't quite Hit in the way I was itching for, especially after last chapter was… well, the way it was. There's some stuff I have to complain about which I think will make this post read as more negative than it maybe is, but it's one of those chapters where the good stuff doesn't really warrant a lot of comment other than 'i liked it'.
On that note, things I liked: everyone hanging out was really cute! I was honestly hoping we'd get more interactions like this during the Movie Arc with everyone scrunched together onto a single project but I'm happy to see it now.
Gotanda being being Dads With Cats this chapter was also really cute. It's a throwaway line but that little lore crumb of him having been looking forward to starting a family at some point is… honestly really sad and interesting? I think it adds a lot to the way he takes to Aqua and looks out for Kana, on top of the way he throws himself into his art.
frill taking a big ass break between projects is really good, too. i hope she has a very good time doing absolutely nothing.
that said. the fact that the only time we've gotten an acknowledgement of ruby and taiki's sibling relationship in the manga after like 80+ chapters is him making a comment about her tits makes me want to put aka akasaka through a pasta maker.
but no, for real. joking aside. Taiki and Aqua's relationship and Taiki going from being standoffish to accepting Aqua as his younger brother is one of the more understandably sweet relationship arcs in the series and it feels like a waste that we didn't get anything similar for him and Ruby. In general, Ruby is starting to feel very isolated from the rest of the cast which I'm not a fan of.
frill's full body wetsuit was a god tier joke though i gotta admit
Kana hyping herself up to flirt so overtly with Aqua was… funny, if a bit weird, especially given the note the chapter ends on. But Akane going right in and getting all over her thighs. holy shit, girl.
tsukuyomi at the beach what will she do
Akane's chat with Aqua also made my ears perk up in the way it continues a theme established by 143, of Aqua being challenged on his dedication to his self destruction by the people around him. Ruby and Kana were able to poke and prod at the issue but Akane, having the full picture as she does, is able to more directly shake Aqua and point out what he has to lose. In trying to self destruct, he will only end up destroying the thing he's trying to protect.
Also worth pointing out; Aqua is back to double black hoshigans as of this chapter which seems to line up with my thoughts on them representing his wavering dedication to his revenge play.
And then Kana….. whooooooooooo boy.
Like I said earlier, this ending feels super jarring off the back of both the last AQKN interaction and Kana's attempted flirting in this very chapter. As part of her overall arc, I think it makes sense but within the scope of this chapter it's too abrupt and lacks any real trigger. I can assume she saw AQAK talking to each other and made some assumptions but we don't actually see it. As it's presented in the comic, Akane basically walked up to her and triggered a cutscene lol
It is interesting to me that we're getting this overt push towards romantic resolution happening now given that… well, I'm not keeping that 'chapters since 143' count going just for goofs. I'm honestly torn between frustrated and darky amused at how much of a nothingburger 143 has turned out to be in the long run given that its only persistent status quo change (Aqua's white hoshigan) has fallen back by the wayside again. Neither Ruby or Aqua are acting like anything at all has happened. Literally right now it feels like you could skip 141-143 completely and not miss anything. It's baffling and it really does feel like that kiss was used as cynical reaction bait. Ruby's feelings are being treated with little to no respect and I'm honestly tired of it.
Obviously we're going to be getting some future resolution eventually because any Aqua-related romantic resolution is going to end up dragging Ruby into things but man. The fact that THIS is how Akasaka is choosing to drag it out is just insane to me. What was even the point of that kiss if it was going to have literally no impact on either character or the status quo whatsoever?
As for what this means for relationships… who even knows at this point. If you put a gun to my head and forced me to make a call, I'd say that in a romance manga, this would make me very confident in a Kana endgame. 'Girl tries to selflessly give up her love' is a pretty huge 'winning' flag in these kinds of situations. But Oshi no Ko is not strictly a romance manga and there's so much other relationship baggage floating around, who even knows what this is all going to mean. You could tell me this is the flag for an Aqua/Minami endgame or something and I wouldn't be surprised at this point.
At least we'll find out next week, assuming Akasaka doesn't offscreen the rest of this talk lol

Clara Appreciation Post
.
.
~
I'm making this as contribution to Mairuma Manga's chapter 304
I'm surprised no one said shit on how Clara saved the day with her optimistic and fun personality. Honestly it was unexpected but also unsurprising and comforting that Clara was the one who stopped them. I genuinely thought Ameri was the one who would interrupt but you know, nevermind.
Also it makes sense in a way, Nishi didn't want to make Clara feel left out in the situation so she dropped the bomb (cliffhanger) on us so we would want to remember and look forward to what happened next and that's when Clara came in. The love trio does have to stick together afterall.
So without further a do here are 5 things I love about Clara Valac! Our adorable little charming playful demon!
Clara's amazing nicknames
These three being the dorks that I wouldn't trade for the world.
Like literally Azz-azz and Irumachi sounds so cute wtf- and like other nicknames Eggy-sensei. It reflects her personality well and actually makes her unique. ( I want to say quirky but it sounds weird so no. )
Her voice actor is also delivering her lines incredibly accurate also her voice actor is also known to voice Valac's entire family. Now that's what I called fucking talent. Since we're getting off-topic, let's move on to the next one.
2. Clara's overlooked selflessness.
I hate seeing Clara cry but I have to like put an image to showcase her selfishness.
You know how the netherworld always say that there are rarely other demons who would care for other people than themselves? If Clara was selfish, she wouldn't care for the other demons consent and she could easily force them to play with her.
But no, she wanted people to play with her with consent. She wants the other demon have fun as much as she has. There are many things that she could do but didn't because she cares for other demons feelings. She is a rare demon that wants to play and both side to have fun.
3. Clara has no doubt that Azz-kun and Iruma loves her.
Her eyes shine with utter confidence.
I don't need to explain much just-
Read this amazing post.
Totally not because I'm lazy. Also credits to @somayants for this masterpiece 🛐 .
4. Clara's unique family.
Shit I forgot the fucking twins-and the fucking brother-
Adorable as fuck. Wholesome as fuck. Cute as fuck.
Also her mum is such a MILF /j
Basically Clara's emotional support team besides the misfit class.
That's all I have to say.
Now I saved my best for last...
5. Clara's patience and endurance.
This is just adorable-
Clara's patience and endurance is honestly so admirable. I kinda lost count on the times, she endured being left out. We know well that Clara loves Iruma and Azz-kun so much that she doesn't want to ever get separated from them.
So the fact that she endured the clinginess of hers and have patience is so amazing of her. She truly does act like the role of the big sister sometimes. Honestly this is probably one of the few things that Clara does better than Azz-kun because let's be honest, he wouldn't last two weeks of separation from Iruma ( without training that is.).
.
.
~
ENDING
You can tell I lost motivation halfway through that but I really want to finish this so people could appreciate Clara more for who she is, and we wouldn't want to change her for anything.
Also if through chapter 304 I made this as a #ClaraValacAppreciation post. I just made that hashtag myself cause I'm an antisocial idiot.
But if you want to join in on the appreciation of Clara you can! By using this hashtag.
(This is probably gonna flop but I honestly don't care.)

@sorribu This is just gonna be for two of my Mob Psycho ocs right here because I didn’t realize how much I’d written for them LMAOO. This was NOT proofread so it probably sounds funny
I don't even have names picked out for either of them yet but I could tell you anything and everything else lmao. They are best friends (kind of) (they're doomed)
Ok so it's two girls, they both go to the highschool Tome ends up going to in the epilogue and the reigen manga. They don't like KNOW know Tome, they're just kinda in the background for the most part, but I think that they would at least talk at some point because of shared interests (sort of)
Ok so the first girl: she is like fully convinced that she's a psychic. Like she thinks that she's clairvoyant, (she’s just a really luck guesser), and telekinetic. She's not, but she’s completely, 100% convinced that she is. She has a loud personality and she likes the attention being known as an esper gives her, and to kind of reflect that in her design I'm going to give her a fashion style that stands out. She would be a gyaru or something else that's really flashy. She's not very in tune with her friend's or other people's emotions, she's totally unaware of/doesn't pay attention to how other people feel, but like despite that she is genuinely really nice. She’s just overbearing and insensitive. She's really charismatic and outgoing and she could be super popular if she wanted to be, but she chooses to mainly stick around the other girl instead
The other girl actually IS an esper. She's similar to Mob in the way that she also doesn't want to stand out, but it's for different reasons. She just wants to get by without drawing too much attention to herself, it's not like a traumatized thing. She’s socially anxious. I haven't really thought TOO much about her design, but I want her to look like any random person. Except for her hair. It's going to be dark brown, BUTTT I want it to be kinda choppy ecause at one point she got sick of her hairstyle and the gyaru girl wanted to help give her a haircut. But. It didn't turn out the way they wanted it to. IT DOESNT LOOK BAD OR ANYTHING, it's just an unusual style (to the psychic girl’s dismay).
Anyways so how they met and why the gyaru girl thinks she's an esper are the same. The gyaru girl was just doing whatever the fuck (haven't decided what yet) but somehow something was gonna hit her and she realized just a little too late and threw her hands up like you do when something is flying at you. And suddenly BOOM. It stops right in front of her.
The esper girl is like sitting in the background stopping whatever it is from hitting her, and the gyaru girl is surrounded by people so everyone starts freaking the fuck out. Like OH MY GOD DID YOU JUST STOP THAT WITH YOUR MIND?? WHAT THE HELL HOW IS THIS HAPPENING?? WHATS GOING ON??? And so the esper girl lets go of the thing and it falls to the ground in front of the other girl. She runs over to the gyaru and she's like "omg are you ok?" And yeah obvi the gyaru is fine but she's like. "DID YOU SEE WHAT I JUST DID?? WAS THAT ME? WHAT" And remember how the esper girl doesn't really want to stand out? She knows that if people know about her psychic powers, she'll probably get attention for it. And she figures that the gyaru girl and everyone else thinking that it's the GYARU that has powers, they'll leave her alone. She’s a good cover.
So yeah the esper girl starts trying to get closer to the gyaru girl and they end up becoming friends, but since the gyaru has such a big personality and everyone thinks that they saw her stop the whatever with her mind, the gyaru ends up getting MORE attention and she starts showing off. So the esper has to cover for this girl without her knowing, and at first she's happy to do it because it means people will leave her alone. And they become really close and really codependent. The gyaru doesn't know that she needs the other girl to cover for her, she's just dependent on her bc yk. Kinda toxic highschool attachments. It's her best friend and they're like really attached to each other. Like hanging out all the time, rarely go anywhere without each other, (potentially!!) in love with each other (they have no idea).
Anyways at some point, after YEARS of this, the esper girl gets kind of sick of covering for the gyaru. It’s taking a lot of effort and she’s frustrated and she feels used. But since the gyaru is unaware of the way other people feel and the esper doesn't really have the guts to bring it up, it just continues and the esper starts getting a little bit bitter, because the gyaru girl Is using her, whether she knows it or not.
I want to make it clear that everything that happens is both of their's and nobody's fault. Communication is important and there is none, their entire relationship was started on a lie that technically benefitted both and neither of them at the same time, and it's highschool so shit's fucked. It’s mainly the psychic’s fault for lying in the first place, and the other girl has no idea, but the other girl is also insensitive and overbearing and she likes showing off more than she needs to.
At some point another esper, who I guess had been watching this happen for a while, comes up to the esper girl and they're like, "hey dude, I know you're covering for her, you should stop doing that and let everyone know that it's you. You have to come clean sometime anyways, this can't last forever." And the esper girl is like, ykw, I’m sick of covering for her, and being nearby her popularity has helped me get over my crippling social anxiety a little bit. I like what she has, maybe it wouldn't be so bad to be known.
(I have to work on her reasoning a little bit) But yeah she gets sick of being (unintentionally) used, and she's probably under the impression that the gyaru knows what's happening at least a little bit
In front of a bunch of people she confronts the gyaru and shows off her powers for herself and stops helping cover for her. And since the gyaru had been under the impression that she WAS an esper for YEARS, she starts getting pissed because she can't understand what's going on, because wdym she doesn't really have powers? Wdym her best friend has been lying to her for literal years? Wdym their entire friendship was built on a lie that she wasn't even aware of? Wdym her AN ENTIRE PORTION OF HER SENSE OF SELF has been completely destroyed? (She puts too much of her sense of self into the idea that she’s an esper). And what do you mean everyone now thinks that she's been intentionally lying to them and tricking them because her best friendfinally confessed/confronted her in front of the ENTIRE SCHOOL
Ok so at this point, esper girl has been semi subconsciously putting all the blame on the gyaru, because shouldn't she have known? Ofc the esper's not going to blame herself, why would she? (She's trying to protect herself from feeling super guilty about it, because deep down she knows that she was wrong, but she doesn't want to face that. She's been hurt and it's kind of her fault) But now she's realizing "wait.. did she really NOT know that she was using me? Did I do this for no reason?” So now she's feeling guilty, but remember, she doesn't want to acknowledge that all of this started because of HER lie and a misunderstanding. So she pushes that away and doubles down on calling the gyaru out.
The other girl is humiliated. She feels betrayed. I want to have something with her design visually deflating after this point. Because before that she's visually bold and confident, and now her sense of self has been thrown out the window and her best friend APPARENTLY isn’t really her best friend. She's been hurt like this in front of the entire school and now she has no one. She runs off and doesn't show up anywhere for a while.
In the meantime, the esper is getting a lot of attention from all of this. She's getting what she wanted, right? WRONG. She misses her friend and deeply regrets what she did. But she's still pushing that away because why? SHE HATES FEELING RESPONSIBLE. (Boooo 👎👎)
The esper girl is quickly rising in popularity, and she starts just trying to drink it in and forget about what happened, but eventually she and the gyaru run into each other (I think I'm gonna have it be at a convenience store lmao). Like late into the night. The gyaru is just there picking up snacks and an energy drink before she goes home.
The gyaru. Kinda looks like shit. So before all this, she had super curly blonde hair that she kept in a slicked back ponytail. She has a lot of hair. Obviously it's bleached, and at this point you can see her roots starting to come in. (because she had been due for a maintenance appointment at a salon like a week before the meeting because of her roots, but she didn't feel like there was a point). Before this, her design is colorful and really awesome, but now it's just dull and sad. There's no effort going into anything. Like think pinkie pie when she gets sad, except her hair doesn’t get less curly, it just gets less poofy and deflates.
The esper girl's design will have obviously gotten a lot bolder, she'll have started standing out more, but there'll be obvious cracks in her new persona. Eye bags poorly covered by concealer, hair still choppy and kinda messy, her posture still slips into the unconfident position that it was before, etc.
Anyways the gyaru girl sees the esper and just pays and dashes out of there. The esper feels all the guilt she had stored up inside of her start to bubble up and flow over, so she chases the gyaru to try to apologize. She does but they get into a huge fight, and the roles are sort of reversed now, now the GYARU is the one confronting the ESPER in public. Or I guess as public as it gets because it’s super late at night atp. The esper girl ends up telling her everything she feels and how sorry she is. They end up making up but they're never the same, they stay distant and apart.
Things are awkward, they start trying to avoid each other. Eventually they reconnect more and become friends again but there's still that distance. The gyaru never Really knew the esper and the whole thing gives her issues with trust. She also kind of hates herself for not realizing how the esper felt the whole time and tries to overcompensate in her new relationships with other people, and the esper just wallows in guilt and self hatred and pity. Like she finally acknowledges that it was her fault for lying, but she doesn't deal with it and understand it the way she should, so while she does feel sorry for what she did, she also feels really sorry for herself.
Anyways they drift apart after highschool, but if I want to be nice and undoom them, they officially meet again when they're like. Just out of college and they're finally able to work through everything that happened, but I like the doomed forever idea more
#MOST CHARACTERS I MAKE ARENT LIKE THIS THEYRE USUALLY HAPPY#i still have to think about it a little more to make everything make more sense but yeah#my friend was the one that gave me the doomed yuri idea and I kind of love it. but I could see them being completely platonic too

I think one of my only nit picks about Mob Psycho is I do wish there was a moment Mob voiced his opinion on Teru. I feel like the story does a good job at getting across how he feels about Ritsu and Reigen but not really him?
Like, i wouldn’t consider them super close or anything. And I feel like you can def gather an idea of how Mob feels about him (generally a good friend who’s also very helpful, perhaps even a similar “admiration” he has to Ritsu where Ritsu has a lot going for him academic wise and Teru is someone popular with girls and has a confident attitude) but I guess I just wanted a little more of his own thoughts? I’m not sure how to put it but I think about how in the guidebook he has a lot to say of Ritsu and Reigen but for Teru he’s like “he has a good fashion sense”
Obviously a big part of Mob’s character is he doesn’t speak his own opinion a lot and the story hides his direct thoughts a lot and it makes him interesting as the story asks you to try to understand him and what he’s thinking and who he is.
But there’s a layer to their relationship that I thought was really interesting and I guess I wish it came to light more?
Both are important to their respective development being the first psychics either have met. Their relationship is focused on the idea of strength but also a wake up call to living in reality. Teru has to accept living a life with more then his psychic powers despite hating that part of himself and Mob has to accept that he can’t just suppress his psychic powers forever and that they’ll always be a part of him no matter how much he hates it.
I think there’s something super compelling about someone seeing you at your lowest or what you see as your worst or perhaps they bring out the worst in you but your relationship with that person. And sometimes its easier to do that with people youre not super close to because showing your flaws to the people you hold really dear to you is hard and you’re so scared of disappointing them. I get reminded of that idea
I do think it’s there it’s just subtle and I love subtle! I think Teru himself is a subtle character in a lot of ways.
I wanted to know someone else’s thoughts on this though or what they think of their dynamic cause it’s on my mind sometimes sugwusbwj
oh i totally agree with you their relationship kind of fascinates me. i believe i remember reading an interview where one said that if mob wanted advice for stuff dealing with his powers he'd probably go to teru but dont quote me on that bc i dont actually remember where that comes from.
im so glad we got confirmation that they still hang out afterwards and just seem to both be physically incapable of making the first move ("you should invite me to hang out more" INVITE HIM YOURSELF TERU!!! MY GOD.) because the ending of the manga left it sorta ambiguous and the idea of teru drifting apart from the singular friend who he has an actual emotional connection with has been haunting me since i first finished the manga. like, i know he does hang out with the awakening lab kids and presumably teru and the spirits and such gang sometimes, but those are all people whove only known the teru that is working on bettering himself and considering how adverse teru seems to the idea of getting help (see him rushing into every situation on his own and getting his ass kicked) i cant imagine any of their conversations would ever turn to the problems hes had in the past and the problems hes currently dealing with. i mean, reigen only knows about terus parents because he was in the room when teru explained his situation to mob.
#this ended up so much longer than i meant it to FSJKNFJKS#do NOT ask me about teru if you want an answer shorter than a paragraph#mp100#mob psycho 100#teruki hanazawa#shigeo kageyama

For the ship game: Leopika and Hisoillu! I don't know your ship taste well so I'm just hitting a couple other big HxH ships hrjfjkjkdlgdfk hope you don't mind
Oh, I don't mind at all, Percy! :)
Hisoillu is... I mean... they are kind of sort of engaged (?) so. Yeah, it makes sense. Also, I can think of no one else in the universe who should be subjected to close proximity with these two on a regular basis hdfhbsdhj. Congrats, you're perfect for each other, just never involve anyone else in what you've got going on ever. Truthfully, I'm kind of indifferent towards it as a ship. It makes sense to me, but it's not something I actively seek out in fanworks I suppose. It's just, yeah, Hisoka and Illumi are together. Happy for them lol. I guess it's mostly because I think murder is their love language and I just... can't see them being romantic with each other in a lot of the more typical ways that characterize many fanworks. Do they want to kill each other, or are they into each other? The answer is both - the murder is an intrinsic aspect of the "being into each other" hdjfbvhd. That said, I think they have a pretty healthy respect for each other, due to probably being evenly matched, I'd say. I think Hisoka genuinely finds Illumi good company, and Illumi readily has fairly casual conversations with Hisoka. Their dynamic is kind of fascinating actually, and I do honestly think they're kind of perfect for each other. Diversity win??? Loss??? I'm honestly not sure lmao
Leopika :') I love the potential for them. Sadly, they don't have all that many interactions in the canon manga, so I would ordinarily say it doesn't make a huge amount of sense, but then we have the 99 anime and the radio skits who seem determined to ship them so hfbgjdhj I have no clue. I'm weird about this ship because I tend to alternate between "yeah they're cute" and "oh god. oh god. them. AAARGGHHH" and experiencing emotional damage hahaha. I am like this with no other ship. It's very strange to me.
The one thing is that I'm extremely picky with Kurapika characterization, in any art or story. If Kurapika doesn't read right to me, I just can't suspend my disbelief. I'm really not big on the "mom and dad" characterization, though no shade to anyone who is.
Peak Leopika dynamic to me takes into account not just Leorio's concern and Kurapika's walls, but also their mutual stubbornness and Kurapika's hilarious tendency to annoy Leorio on purpose. To me, I've always felt that he likes Leorio because he's a guy who wears his heart on his sleeve and values individual lives so strongly, so he kind of checks that he hasn't changed that much when they see each other. I think it's kind of relieving for Kurapika, in a way, to know that Leorio will always be himself - "same old Leorio" kind of deal.
I also think Kurapika is just a little shit hjgbvsjdh
But no, I love that Leorio clearly eases up some of the pressure Kurapika feels, and seems to make him feel better about things- that's probably half the reason he keeps him at arms length. I think affectionate bickering is their love language. I also wish people noticed a little more that it's Kurapika who actually seriously initiated friendship between them, not Leorio. In most cases in the Hunter Exam, it was Kurapika approaching Leorio and showing a clear interest in sticking with him and helping him pass and achieve his dream. I think it's incredibly meaningful that one of the first people Kurapika meets and takes a liking to is this guy who wants to become a doctor - the doctor that Kurapika had left in the first place to go looking for. Anyways, I'm really looking forward to see what role Leorio will play in the current arc (just to have more Leorio, honestly, pls Togashi I miss him...), as I'm sure he will eventually find out about Emperor Time and OH BOY I'm sure that will go over well.
Erm. Sorry for rambling. I had a lot to say apparently...

Episode 20 - My Friend Bashi (Part 2)
He's been fishing since childhood. Friends, I cannot do this blog anymore. It's too cute.
This is the face of the boy who is very happy about his position in the temple and serving God Ecaflip personally.
I never mentioned it before, since it's always very hard to see, but even as a child Kerubim already has one very prominent and big scar. Perhaps the result of whatever killed the entire Crepin family? Some other incident, like a fight at the temple? Either way, very interesting.
Well, Bashi, Kerubim shouldn't tell you this either, but the Ecaflip temple is his dad's too.
He's so trusting it's killing me. (Edit from the future: Bashi saying he has a scale and can't walk suggests a lot about Joris's future, as a person who, too, can grow scales. Imagine having to be like "my socks are uncomfortable today. Because of the scales.".. Yeah I am insane.)
The lie he tells to Bashi is a direct response to the lie Bashi himself told, and perhaps an attempt to stay peers.
I mean, he doesn't have parents AND he doesn't have magic. What if Bashi thinks he's too lame to be friends with?
Here are the flash frames. They got their butts whooped.
Yesss Ecaflip, shame your 5-9 year old for getting beaten up and robbed! Threaten to kill him too while you're at it! Girl slayyy :))))
Maybe Oropo was right. Maybe we should kill and dethrone the gods.
One may observe, that while Kerubim never explicitly condemns Ecaflip, he tries his best to be the opposite type of parent than him. He tries his best to raise Joris's self-esteem to insane levels, and, due to the insane power imbalance he felt in his relationship with Ecaflip, he treats Joris not as a lesser and a child, but as a fellow peer.
I think he's scared of being a bad father, and I think he's scared of being like Ecaflip. Not that he would ever say that out loud. Because Ecaflip is a God, and can, realistically, come and smite him.
There are parts of his childhood he internalized, and never examined: he implicitly expects and encourages Joris to help and serve him and his emotional needs, as an assistant and confidante, despite treating him as a peer.
It's not a necessarily harmful thing. Neither is Kerubim treating Joris like a peer. Being trusted with the house from a very young age helps develop very necessary skills for adulthood. Being treated like a person with opinions is very important for children. I think overall, in terms of the way he treats Joris, Kerubim is as good of a father as he can be.
But sometimes, it feels like he saw some of the things that were wrong with his childhood and decided to swing in the completely opposite fucking direction, and in the process, crashed into a fucking wall.
Anyway, if this happened to Joris, he would go outside and beat those kids himself or something. (But, only gently. He wouldn't hit a child.)
The face of a boy who is very happy about his position in the temple and serving God Ecaflip personally.
There are many distinct japanese cultural influences in Krosmoz, due to the inspiration that Ankama takes from anime and manga.
However,
Most often, ecaflips and pig people specifically are shown to be, at least in some way, "fantasy japanese". In the same way that pandawa are "fantasy chinese".
Does this little analysis mean anything? Probably not. Is it still interesting and useful? Yeah. Because I can use it to prove that J-Pop should, logically, exist in Krosmoz, AND that Joris Jurgen probably listens to it.
("guy who has a 40-song long Joris Jurgen character playlist" voice) Yes, while I don't think "character playlists" should have songs the characters would listen to, but instead songs that suit their stories and personalities, I do think Joris would love Inabakumori and Tadanoco—— [I am forcefully sedated and sat down to watch the rest of the episode]
Despite what Bashi tells himself, he still treasures their bond.
This too, will become a reoccurring theme with people (Atcham Crepin) who (Atcham Crepin) fucking (Atcham Crepin) hate Kerubim Crepin.
Way to break my heart, show!

Hey, I wanted to ask what do you think of how hori concluded the todo fam arc and dabi’s vague ending? Do you think he’s alive or dead? Hori could’ve showed us at least a grave or a shrine. I just wanted closure :(
So, I'm going to preface this by saying that I have not actually READ the ending to BNHA, and gathered info just from the tumblr community. I checked out of the manga a while ago because it felt like Hori's heart wasn't really in it.
To be honest, compared to the ending the others got, I'm glad that his was left vague enough to be open to interpretation. After all, how many times has he been assumed dead/would die soon, only for him to give the middle finger and keep going?
I feel like Hori's feelings around the Todoroki family and Touya in particular run a little bit deeper than the others, just with looking at how much attention he put into the backstory. I really feel like it's been a combination of mixed messages, swinging back and forth between empathizing with Touya and being an Enji fanboy.
Hori's portrayal of Touya's childhood was VERY sympathetic, and Enji was shown as very monstrous in some of those panels (and in fact, the parallel was done with Shigaraki and Toga's pasts as well). Even his titling of the chapters (e.g., Wrong Way to Put Out A Fire) showed that the responsibility for Touya's downfall fell onto the parents rather than him as a child. I also liked how pathetic he showed Enji was after Touya's reveal, and when his family came to visit him in the hospital. Rei's commentary towards his sniffling was so refreshing, I was cackling and fist-bumping the air. Finally, I really loved that Natsuo never forgives Enji and straight up tells him he doesn't want him in his life.
But at the same time, Enji gets to continue on with life more or less without any repercussions, or at least that's the impression I've gotten from the snippets I've gathered on other peoples' posts and the manga screenshots I've come across. Yes he's handicapped and will never be a hero again, but at the same time, it felt like there's a lack of social/societal consquences. Hawks never stops being his fanboy, and Rei stays with him (God knows why)... I dunno. It just left a bad taste in my mouth. I think it's because he never really figured out how to step away from his hero persona long enough to really prioritize his family until it was too late. Enji should have immediately been out there looking for Touya after his big reveal. As a parent, I can tell you for a FACT that if I found out my child wasn't actually dead but was in fact alive and running around out there hurting others, you bet your ASS I'm dropping everything and going after them. Also, Enji should have been the one to face off with Touya in the final conflict, not Shouto. He should have faced him, lost, and then Shouto could have stepped him to have his emotional brotherly conflict with Touya just as it happened in the manga. Enji's behavior was cowardice until the very end, and his apology to Touya at the very end fell very very flat for me.
Maybe Hori is just going for the more realistic portrayal of how complex family dynamics can be, and how forgiveness really depends on the person. I also think that Hori's idea of what counts as a good redemption arc for Enji differs from what I think a good redemption arc for him would be. So in that sense, I just have to accept that Hori has his own take on the entire Todoroki family story and that it differs from my own.
But, I digress... back to Touya. I've always had the feeling that Horikoshi has had a soft spot for Touya especially, and I think this implied ending of Touya not surviving rather than showing it explicitly like he did with the others demonstrates that. So I'd like to think that Touya somehow survives and heals.
Overall, I think the ending of BNHA has fallen a bit flat because there has been so much emphasis on the grey areas between villains and heroes, and I always felt that the students were intended to save them. And that was especially Shouto's goal with his brother. The thought of him failing in that goal and not being able to ever have soba with him feels like such a waste of his character arc as well as Touya's.
So, I'm going to take it as-is. Touya's ending is intentionally ambiguous to allow the fans on both sides of the fence to pick the ending that they want (Hori, you coward). My ending for him is that he heals (although never completely of course) and eventually gets to have soba with his brother. It's not only what Touya deserves, but it's what Shouto deserves too.
#arvandus answers#anon#dabi#touya todoroki#todoroki family#I have many thoughts and feelings#I should probably finish the manga though#before I post more opinion stuff lol

Oh...oh I have so many feelings.
So, I just finished binging the One Piece Live Action. And as someone who has never seen a single episode of the One Piece anime nor has read a single page of the One Piece manga...I really really really loved this live action.
First of all, I love the story. I think it’s really well done and the plotting works for the adaptation. Second of all, I love the characters (and I will do a whole section on them in a minute) and I love the cast. My god the cast. They each played their roles so fucking well and I’m glad they chose who they did because I really can’t see anyone else playing these characters. Also, the backstories man. Look, I am a sucker for backstories and they delivered on them. And also, also, the fucking flag at the end?! The icon flag with the skull with straw hat on it? Bitch, I am emotions
ANNND DON’T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE RELATIONSHIPS THROUGHOUT THIS SHOW…the relationships make me emotional
Now, for the characters (at least the mains and maybe like the villains):
Mains:
Luffy: I love how he was portrayed in this. I’ve seen gifsets of this guy and he is both so loveable but also a gremlin and a little shit and Iñaki played him so well. I couldn’t stop cooing over how fucking cute he was. My god. I think the CGI for his rubber was actually quite cool/good. Really unnatural looking but hello...the dude’s skin is fucking rubber, it’s gonna be unnatural. And it worked
Zoro: He was badass and a cunt and a bitch and I love him. The middle finger in the first episode? A man after my own fucking heart. I also really liked Mackenyu in the Fullmetal Alchemist series as Scar, I thought he played him really well. I think he did a really good job (and I’m excited to see him in Knights of the Zodiac whenever that comes out)
Nami: Her actress reminded me a lot of like a younger Jennifer Chastain (it might be the orange hair) but I really liked her character. A badass but with a good heart and also a little bit of a bitch. (If a character is a little bit of a bitch, I’m going to like them, that’s just how it is).
Sanji: I loved his actor. And I know him and Zoro a little bit better than the other characters and I know that in the anime he’s quite a ladies man. Like a lot of a ladies man but I like that they kind of toned that down here. He’s also another bitch and I love him. I’m also very glad they kept his eyebrows normal and didn’t do the spiral because I don’t think that would have translated well
Usopp: He has a lot of heart. I really liked how he cared for Kaya and how he cared for his friends and yeah he was a bit of an exaggerated, he’s really just trying to make people smile. But damn if that little fireball thing that he made wasn’t fucking cool as hell as it exploded that fish guy. Like get fucked
Garp: I liked his actor. I don’t know much about the character himself but I liked his actor and I thought he was pretty cool for a Vice-Admiral. But I have to ask the fans...what is up with the dog hat?
Koby: Apparently according to fans he’s not that big in the anime/manga but I liked him here. I thought he was cute, in a bright-eyed, bushy tailed kind of way. A good kid. And I’m glad he and Luffy became friends
Villains:
Alvida: Oh, she was cool. Her and her big ass spiked clubs? Fuck yeah, my dudes. That was fucking cool
Buggy: Loved the actor, hate the character. Buggy is just creepy as shit. But I also hate clowns so there’s that. But the actor really did bring something to this guy where like...you definitely got that there was something off about him but he wasn’t overbearing. The CGI for him was *shudders* but also really cool
Arlong: Oh my god, I hated the character but the actor’s voice???? Hello??? I could listen to that man speak all day, holy shit, I could not get over his voice. His character though, was a dick and I’m glad he got his pagoda fucking smashed on his fucking head, he deserved it after what he did to Nami and what he fucking put her through.
Now, will this live action make me want to read the manga or watch the anime? No. But did I enjoy the fuck out of it? Yeah, yeah I fucking did. I haven’t screeched with laughter in god knows how long and it was really good to watch/binge and while I may not understand a lot of the background or the plot, I still really enjoyed it and could follow along pretty well.
But also, for the fans because I am genuinely curious...does Luffy ever find the One Piece?

Hey bro, if you don't mind me asking... What's the worst Yu-Gi-Oh take you've ever seen? I like seeing you rant.
God... I'm blanking right now but there are a Lot. There are just so many </3.
Later addendum: This went... all over the place. I have no clue what happened here but I stand by my opinions.
I realize I rant about Marik problems a lot (tis the tism) but I think the ones that actually tend to genuinely anger me the most in like a "oh, you genuinely did not read the same series as me" are the ones that attempt to villainize Atem over the whole series or make it seem like he only really cared about Yugi. That is just like. Blatantly incorrect.
First of all, I realize everyone really likes s0 "ooooOOO eDgY yAmI", but early manga Yami Yugi was only terribly violent for a few chapters. After that, he pretty firmly chillaxes, especially post-Death-T and definitely post-Monster World. And we are given a... pretty good reason for why he was like that originally! I would also be a little mad if I woke with no memories after being tormented in a labyrinth full of shadow demons for so long i literally could not remember being born and my first sight was someone trying to beat the shit out of the guy who was kind enough to release me from my Gay and Stupid Maze!
Literally guys, he's like a recently adopted stray kitten. He's just lashing out because he's scared. He's not evil you idiot he's 15 and incredibly incredibly confused and freaked out. Yes he still committed murder no I don't care we've excused other people for worse (take note of how these will often be the same people that uwuify marik or yb (but marik especially -> about to have a sub-rant its related i promise.))
ps. i don't get the marik thing he may be pretty but he is not a sniffling little kitten like people write him as (especially in comparison to his Big Bad Evil Personality and dangerous-bad-boy Yami Bakura who certainly never admitted to himself considering Marik slimy and weird and a dangerous asshole in canon no sir never). The man literally tried to drown Joey and (admittedly accidentally) got his own big brother fried like a fork in a toaster engineered by Elon Musk (and, I want to mention, he didn't seem to consider Rishid a genuine brother until much later after the psychological equivalent of multiple slaps upside the head). I think people just don't know how to write mental illness and/or emotions other than Horny or Sad and morals more complex than black and white.
This is actually part of I think a larger problem in the fandom with not tending to remember the whole storyline/point of yugioh was proving that people are not naturally evil and in fact often prove to be quite noble when they get taken out of a bad situation and worked on a little. Ppl don't quite get this outside of redeeming their favorite evil pretty boy so he can date around, so they either make everyone a sad little angel thats never done anything wrong in their life or a terrible demon whose surprisingly abusive qualities are only matched by his shockingly canon-inaccurate height and muscle mass increase. This is, imo, why people tend to do That to Atem. Either they interpret him as a perfect Good King that can do no wrong or, sadly more commonly, an evil serial killer that only cares about [EXPLETIVE REMOVED]ing Yugi and then pretty much nothing else.
Also, he was like... not a bad Pharoah from the exactly (checks notes) 72 hours he got to be one before dying a horrible torturous undeath. For the good of his kingdom, I want to mention. That was something he willingly undertook for the sake of his people. As far as autocratic dictators went, he was by all accounts a pretty nice one! Didn't even torture anyone to death! In fact he was so against the idea of torturing people to death we had to Specifically keep the bit where we were actually doing that secret from him!
also section B of this take then usually comes around to trying to prove he never cared about his friends other than yugi. And if I may be so spicy in the chat tonight. This is usually ooc puzzleshipping brain rot influencing critical thinking. Yes yes I get that your yami yugi 20k yandere fanfic (with a yugi that cries all the time for some reason and apparently refuses to just Take The Damn Thing Off) is hot but brother of mine that is not what Atem was like in canon. Like. At all.
First of all, even before Memory World he showed off caring about his friends. There was the whole "deadly yo yos" incident with Joey and then there was the not one but two Anzu hostage situations that he dealt with, one of which when there was literally no benefit to him or yugi to go and rescue her! In fact it put them in Active Danger to do so! And from what I remember, that was before even Death-T! So he has very much cared about his friends from the very beginning, individual of his aspect as an extension of Yugi's survival instinct.
Also. The whole point of Yu-Gi-Oh is the whole friendship is magic stuff. That absolutely applies to Atem as well. In fact it probably applies to him more so. The guy really depends on all of his friends for his sanity in a way that not even Yugi does. He likes Joey and he likes Anzu and he likes Honda (even with as little time as he got to shine RIP spiky haired king) and he likes Ryou! In fact one of the original conflicts in Battle City was that he cared about Ryou so much he wouldn't get rid of his age old archenemy because it would have hurt Ryou! But anyways. Anyways.
It feels like part of that can be blamed on the Orichalchos arc in the anime (which was certainly. An Arc. Not good not bad but a secret 3rd thing.) where they had him get incredibly depressed and ever so slightly unstable when Yugi went away. Which makes sense for him, but then people tend to overstate it to "Atem is inconsolable when Yugi isn't there to make it all better for him" and not "Atem feels incredibly guilty for falling under the spell of a literal magically evil-inducing rock and would likely feel similar if he lost really any of his friends in a similar manner."
"But steve. how are those last two things at all related to each other" WELL. YOU SEE. It always feels like people tend to make Atem evil and hate everyone else in order to justify a fantasy scenario where "Yugi" (read: writer's self-insert) gets to come along and redeem him and he gets to be their loyal attack dog. And you know what? I'm fine with that as a fanfic scenario! Let people have fun! Is probably very hot to people who are not stickily uptight bastards like me! But it annoys me like Hell when people try to canonize that particular bit of oocness.
Atem isn't evil. The poor boy is having his own problems. He's hanging out. He's doing his best. Leave him alone. He literally is just a teenage boy that likes to play games. Let him chill. Let him chill.
#I am AGAINST the evil atem agenda he’s my little man#yami yugi#atem#asks#ygo#ye.#hope this wasn't too... rambling.
