idea. since askdusttale answered an ask about where dust got his determination from (because dust has SOME determination just so he can remember the timelines and keep going against the human) and said it was totally up to personal interpretation on how he got his determination. so so so like what if what if dusttale's player did something similar to something new's player and changed dust's code to give him determination??? so dust and killer COULD BOTH had their codes tampered with??? the parallels would be INSANE. they both started off as sans and got their codes tampered with by the player but dust and killer went on two opposite paths. dust out of his own voalition decided to go against the human but killer had to team up with the human no choice at all. the opposite parallels go CRAZY oh god im tweaking

killer doesn't know exactly (since i forgot whether or not he can see codes or something like that. i swear there was an image of him describing fell and swap's code and then his own) but he can SENSE that something's off. something's different about dust that he doesn't quite know about. maybe it gets him to ask a bunch of questions that dust is definitely not open to answering because jesus man mind your own damn business but the question that really sets killer off is the way dust answers when he asks "so if you have determination then how did you get it?" and dust just shrugs his shoulders and said that one day he suddenly remembered the resets and then that's when he got it (and then goes back to mumbling to phantom paps or wtvr) and killer's just like. zomg. a sudden change in behavior or mentality that seemingly has no apparent reason related to the human???? like like like when he suddenly had to agree with the player despite literally never wanting to????? killer is over thinking the implications behind this

meanwhile dust is just annoyed now because killer keeps on following him. he keeps asking him strange questions. wtf why is the guy asking to see his SOUL that's incredibly personal???? he just wants to be left alone man he has no idea what's going on

my cancelled-able trait from the queer community would be that i really apparently love messy endings. i love u happy endings and i also love u such sad, messy, ambiguous endings . . . i love u endings where u have this weird pit in the bottom of your stomach because you know that there's love here but u have no idea what to do with it and u just have to deal with the fact that someone is profoundly affecting your life and you're not gonna get closure from it anytime soon . . . i love u queer love stories where it's really just "u don't always get to see the sunshine and rainbows at the end of it . . . sometimes all that's left is just one big question mark and the quiet hope that they get their shit together" . . .

omg and the part where he takes you to stay in his palace and asks you not to ever look at his face???? it’s killing him, to wear that mask to your nightly dinners, to be able to look at the soft curve of your mouth when you frown and ask him to reveal himself. to be able to look at how you stare back at him, eyes pretty and furious, frustrated and mad, wanting to go back on the conditions you agreed upon because having to sit across from him without seeing him is absolute torture. I am. vibrating.

Backstory: 

Born in 2047 in Oregon, John quickly showed little to no interrest in what his family was dealing in the corporate world. He didn't want to fight war behind a desk with a suit, he always seeked adventure and discovering the world. No matter the price. An opportunity who presented itself when a representant of Militech came back his school in his teen years to talk about the Megacorp. It could be thought that man sold the company well to the young mind, but John was ready to join.

The situation with his family was already holding by a threat, but when the Unification War came around it completely severed their relationship. John saw the order and stability that Myers promised in a unified NUSA (despite her questionable, brute forced method) and agreed to this point of view. This conflicted with the idea of a Free State most people in Oregon shared, althought the state remained neutral in the conflict. After the war, John was relocated by Militech to Night City. Around the same time he earend the nickname Viper by many. John is a man who knows his poisons and how to use them in his ops against his enemies. Easier to place a death by poisoinning as accidental. Snakes also had a deep meaning to the man has one of their meaning is rebirth. This is what he felt after leaving Oregon and fully dedicated himself to Militech. John has a very narrow mind of Militech, seeing them as the good guys, mostly, and can be blinded by his loyalty to corp. But everything can change again when you meet certain people in Night City.

Everything I've seen regarding The Veilguard constantly reminds me of like... shallow Hollywood movies. If that makes sense. The dialogue is Cool and Tough and Quirky, the action are snazzy, the stakes are Big and we're the super heroes

no you are 100% right... also uhm i dont want to be mean but it seems to me that bioware actually tactfully realized that their target audience is like 50% ppl who want to be a cool action hero in a video game and dont rly gaf abt the story and 50% ppl who want cool one-liners they can screenshots or make gifs about and then an unknown % of those two groups just really only want to look at their dolls in awe and talk abt how cool and pretty they are and maybe make them kiss some attractive companion....

and im not saying wanting to do any of those things is bad bc it isnt. as long as you are having fun w whatever all power to you BUT like... is this game even an rpg... like idgaf abt this game feeling like a dragon age game at the end of the day bc i dont rly like dragon age and i dont have like a deep connection with the setting or stories (to this franchise is just too centrist and gritty for grittiness' sake... also im having a hard time scavanging the fun out of these stories amidst the weird stuff, the racism and lesbophobia but ik a lot of people CAN do it, and once again, thats not a bad thing.)

but yeah my first impression is just... this game is weird and not for me but i also want to dig deeper...
