Our 2017 Greenleaf Scholar Yvonna Mullen just graduated with a BS in Conservation and Resource Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, and we couldn't be prouder!

While at CMC, Yvonna served as the Student Trustee graduating in Spring 2020 with an Associate in Arts in Liberal Arts: Mathematics & Science.

During her last semester at Berkeley, Yvonna was selected to participate in student research credits for the Schell Lab, which focuses on the sociological, historical, and ecological intersections of animals and people. Although she’s graduated, she is still helping out on the project and recently went through training for another separate zoological program associated with the lab. PANDEMIC FLASHBACK! U-C BERKELEY, 1919

Often at the forefront of R&D, U-C Berkeley creatively responded to the “pandemic hair” challenge (circa 1919) with an “Open air barber shop.” Students, soldiers and staff traded overgrown locks and scruffy facial hair for the fashionable “high and tight.” 

And yes, there’s been considerable debate about the location, with experts weighing in that the building was the re-roofed basement floor of North Hall, current site of the Bancroft Library (building façade matches Eastern side of the Doe Library’s North Reading Room, and windows match North Hall basement windows, shown in this 1912 postcard).

Kimsuky's New Golang Stealer 'Troll' and 'GoBear' Backdoor Target South Korea

The Hacker News : The North Korea-linked nation-state actor known as Kimsuky is suspected of using a previously undocumented Golang-based information stealer called Troll Stealer. The malware steals "SSH, FileZilla, C drive files/directories, browsers, system information, [and] screen captures" from infected systems, South Korean cybersecurity company S2W said in a new technical report.
