I grew up being a picky eater because if I didn’t like the texture or smell of the food, then I didn’t want to eat it. But as I grew older, I began to try everything at least once. It wasn’t always convenient to have every one try to accommodate my taste buds, especially when traveling. It was helpful to have friends and cousins who are foodies and love to cook or bake. They have opened up my tastebud doors to a lot of new foods I probably wouldn’t have tried on my own. Plus I am slowly improving my cooking and baking skills whenever they want to cook something something together. 😊

While January is already halfway over, I continue to think about what I want to focus on this year. In the last half of 2019 and all of 2020, I poured all my energy into studying in a certification program and working/interning after graduating college. There were many times I thought I would burn out and doubted my own capabilities. While I came out of 2020 a bit more confident in myself and mostly unscathed, I still felt a bit unfilled. In 2021, I dedicate this year my “SELF”. Whether that means taking more time to meditate, exercise, getting sun, do hobbies, or working on passion project(s), I hope to fulfill my soul this year. This account will be an online “diary” dedicated to beginning of my journey of “SELF” in 2021.
