he can change reality with that, and yet he gave that action to Adam to unmake Satan. when crowley could have just as powerfully warped reality into a new shape with the tool he created the universe with. but that's how strongly he believes in free will, and in Adam's right to choose his destiny (and the destiny of the world). that bit in the book about Crowley feeling how deep Adam could look into his soul seems relevant here...
crowley used the metal tool in season 1 to start time, and we learn that he's used it first to start space. to create the stars -- he still remembers how. he still remembers all of heaven's passwords: in the book crowley is described as an optimist because he has the "utter surety... that the universe would look after him". not god, but the universe. and of course he does: he helped create it and he's looking after it, too.
think about it: aziraphale had a sword, but crowley is about to face satan who wants to destroy the world, and crowley's only weapon is a tool of creation

Hi! When Aziraphale looked at Crowley like that after Crowley saved his books from burning in S1, it nearly made me tear up. I don't even cry after watching something on screen lol.
Is there any specific name for that trope? "A does a favour for B and B can't stop themselves from looking at A with heart-eyes." (Or is it too specific to be a trope? Because something similar happened in ASIP of BBC Sherlock too when Angelo brought the cane to John and John turned to look at Sherlock with a similar expression.)
I think It's called "queer blond disaster doesn't know how to communicate that they're about to break down and cry or fuck their partners silly when the camera's off" LOL

mob psycho is the greatest show ever made because reigen being cancelled on twitter is one of the most important moments for his character as well as one of the most emotionally heavy episodes of the show but him being trapped in alone in a purgatory dimension slowly starving to death is treated as a gag and never mentioned again
