Steph! I hope you’re well and THANK YOU for everything you do for our little corner of the internet

I’ve watched good omens all the way through thrice now as well as all the interviews and the “x-ray” stuff they put out and I just want to point out the HUGE difference in attitude when addressing fanfic and shipping in good omens as opposed to Sherlock

I mean Michael Sheen has brought it up multiple times (completely unprompted) in acknowledgment of fandom and it really does makes you feel appreciated as a fan

The fact that they actually made Aziraphale and Crowley canon is just insane to me but in some ways just the mere appreciation and nods to fandom, and what is created through fandom, felt even more personal/ special

Being a Sherlock fan, it frustrated me to NO END how fanfic and fanart was the butt of every other joke (those talk show moments seriously ticked me off, even knowing that they were meant to be lighthearted or whatever)

I know this might sound repetitive but just the stark difference in the tone David and Micheal take when they talk about the good omens fandom vs whatever was happening with sherlock (sigh) is the epitome of understanding and appreciation and IT’S HEALING OLD WOUNDS

I’m so happy I was able to have this as both someone who loves Sherlock as well as Good Omens and I’m even happier to be apart of the tumblr Good Omens wave

AHHH thank you so much for your kind words and your insight on your S2 experience vs the Sherlock one, and in many ways I feel the same. The positivity from the showrunners, cast, and crew has me SUPER hopeful for a satisfying ending. They've all actively encouraged fandom for years, and it warms my heart. Michael and David are SO precious, and love these characters as much as we do <3 It makes me so happy!

Let's keep hoping S3 gets greenlit (keep watching it or running it in the background!!) so that we get our happy ending.
