do u go out alone usually?
At some point, I figured out that my options were (a) find a partner and/or a tight-knit group of friends who happen to be into historical walking tours, operas, 17th century plays, and art museums, or (b) be brave and do things anyway.
Since no one miraculously appeared to take me up on option a, and staring at my apartment walls lost its luster pretty quickly.....I do things anyway.
#and like. after you do it a while you realize that it's brave in the least brave way possible.#they put an invisible thing in your head that makes mean comments if you do things ''wrong''#(this includes a truly staggering number of things. some of the advice is contradictory. it's a bad voice!)#but if you stop listening to it and let yourself go and be a little bit jittery in a public place again and again.#the voice gets fainter and fainter. and sillier. and then it's just a wasp buzzing around your head.#it doesn't go away but it doesn't weight you down either.#sarah gives advice

memory: when i was a toddler OMW back home with my mother on one of those intercity travel buses when we suddenly heard women screaming only for me to look down & see dozens upon dozens of cockroaches running up my legs & under my dress
#legitimately traumatized me for life#pretty sure i felt no way about bugs up until that point in fact beetles were my favorite to grab &play with in my kindergarten's... garten#sorry#there were hundreds of them running around everywhere on the floor. i have no recollection of what happened next or later that evening#apparently it was because of the hot weather & something about the bus that made it so that all those roaches escaped & dispersed everywher#still feel sickened when i hear that bus company to this day#Events That Formed My Sundowning Neurosis. soon as the lights dim i turn into a purely atavistic prey aminal#it happened again when i was with my cousin in the summer when my mother sent us out to get something from teh bodega#& my cousin was like trying to reassure me that no roaches were crawling up my legs but there actually were#it was just too dark to make out until we reached a lamp post O_O that was years & years ago BTW#IDC that they are harmless i wrote this post because there was one in my bathroom just now & all i could do was scream for help#apparently barely cos i was told it was a “pathetic scream” i was Paralyzed !!!! they were like what would you do if you lived by yourself#literally Die & let that thang take over my house IDKcaus i am not going anywhere near it#AUUURRRGHHHH go away pleeeaase. let Us be civil OK leave me alone please leave me alooone ( that one video )#i have no fear of bees or wasps or whatever other ones libellules i forgot what the name was in english. oh dragonfly. i'm going to sound like such a hater rn but that post about that person at ikea who got asked if they needed help and went "nah i got it" and the other person went "oh but it would be easier if i helped" keeps crossing my dash and i don't like it at allll 😮💨 i know it's meant to be like "oh it's okay to accept help and it doesn't make you weak or less capable" but all i can think of is like. they said no?? they literally said "no thank you" and the other person kept insisting 😟 people do that shit to me all the time and it always makes me mad because like BRO i already told you no. if i wanted or needed help i would have either asked or at least accepted the first offer. it just comes off as super pushy and presumptuous to me :/

So my complaining about this website's autocomplete tags has been a problem frequently enough for my complaints to evolve:
"fucking let me use the tag that I wrote" -> "stop replacing my shit just because I left my mouse near the text" -> "where the hell do I have to move my mouse to tag what I want, neo-france?!?!?!?" -> "fucking neo-france."

I hate living in the middle of nowhere, multiple neighbors have gotten roosters that crow all the fucking time
#okay so there has been one across the street for a few years now and i hear it in the afternoon when i walk out to get the mail#but back in September the neighbors right outside my bedroom door got a roster and i hear it from my room almost all day#now its going in the middle of the night#heard it at 3am last night#ive always hated living in the middle of nowhwre but now its almost unbearable#if the wasps come back as bad as they were a few years ago then i think i might just have to move out i cant take it#like tbh this does not feel like home to me im so lonely i cant sleep well with the fucking roster we are 30 min away from EVERYTHING#and in the spring the wasps will probably be back because there were tons outside back in October#why does my family insist that this is home and i need to be here? im pretty miserable

#misc#do you guys remember that episode of spongebob where sandy has to leave town and she asks spongebob and pat to housesit#and they're like ok sure bitch so they go to her place and take care of her pets and they come across what looks like a worm#but its actually a caterpillar and it eventually turns into a butterfly and it like burns down bikini bottom#and they would keep showing those really scary close up shots of the butterfly!??#that episode came out when i was like 5 years old and the butterfly close up shots scared me SO bad#i hated butterflies for years and would run away whenever they chased me#anyways so today that old fear kind of resurfaced#i got chased by butterflies i had to run through clouds of mosquitoes and swarms of dragonflies#i got harassed by a tarantula hawk (if u dont know what those are and are scared of bugs pls dont google it)#when i went to use the potty by the trails guess what i didn't notice was in the stall w/ me until i had my damn pants around my ankles!!#a WASP#yes im almost 30 and i still say “potty” shut the hell up#anyways that's my story

picture taken 5 minutes before discovering a wasp nest in the kennel
#dogs#my dog <3#argentashes#AJFJGJJF it was a small nest that as far as we could tell had only one big (queen?) wasp in it#the dog doesnt often use her kennel (she sleeps indoors) but last night she kept going in and out and we were like ?#and we thought there was a toy in there and um. mom accidentally crushed the wasp nest in her hand#i dont hate wasps btw but i dont want my dog to get stung by a big wasp + if it had been daytime we would have figured out a peaceful way#to move it out of the dogs kennel#but by the time we realised... it had already been crushed and the wasp was Angry and we ended up chasing it away and clearing the remains#we thought it was a hornet actually bc it was a Big Wasp but after frantic googling we thiiiink it may have been a queen wasp building nest#altho we didnt find eggs in the nest remains.....#anyway!#this picture is very funny to me x
